No, clearly not. But it comes with open conversation.

My recommendation, and I understand the frustration you are expressing, is to articulate your view with details and insight.

I let the passion of my feelings get to me, and I forget that it doesn’t help to understand what I have to say. Then if I blame others for getting caught up in my, “idiot”, “bigot” and “batshit crazy” words…I have again lost my opportunity to explain my view.

Granted, some don’t want to hear you view no matter how nice you are.

But this site is about the exchange of ideas, the conflict of ideas and hashing them out.

It is not accurate to paint it as “Muslim bashing” even though some do. Others do not. Please recognize that.

Articulate your feelings and worry not about what the response is.

I think the extremists need to get their message straight, however. If they question the validity of the Holocaust then they can’t be screaming about ovens because according to their own rationale the “ovens” never existed. In the same vein, they cannot flip the history and call their plight “a modern-day Holocaust” if there was no original Holocaust.

Can’t have it both ways.

But then, whoever said extremists were reasonable. Other than progressives.

Islam became a widespread religion AFTER her time. When she married Mohamed (she was 40 and he was 25), the whole “prophet” thing was just starting. So basically, she was treated well BECAUSE ISLAMIC TRADITION WASN’T INSTALLED YET, only in its infancy.
