Here’s last night’s appearance of Joe and Valerie Wilson on Bill Maher’s REAL TIME. It’s real, reel good.

Enormous brain fart on my end. My bad.

  • Sandy

I saw that last night. They were great! And, finally, the words TREASON and
TRAITORS were used to identify this administration.

    Made my day.

  • Waiting in Texas

God, you crack me up Larry…..”Enormous brain fart on my end. My bad.”

Wouldn’t it be great if our current administration and Congress would say something like that regarding their blunders?????

  • PrchrLady

thanks, Larry, link worked for me… what a great interview. I am so thankful for Val and Joe, and all that they are doing to bring these criminals to justice. they are both articulate, easy going, real people, and I believe that the more exposure they, and their story of being ‘fair game’ is given, the more people just might wake up and say “Never Again, not in MY country”… They deserve the very best that can come their way. NO QUARTER to the TREAONOUS BUZZARDS… HOW DARE THEY TURN THIS GREAT NATION INTO A FACIOUS, UN – RECOGNIZABLE STATE///

I have so much admiration for the Wilsons. They are not fearful of this misadministration in any way shape or form. Love the word treason being spoke. Now if only congress would stand up to the fascists in the WHite House!

Maher made a wonderful comment on Plamegate a while back:

So when Bush says, as he once did, that his absolute, number one priority was preventing terrorists from getting loose nukes, that’s what she worked on. That’s what she devoted her life to, staying undercover for twenty years – maintaining two identities every goddamned day. This is extraordinary service to your country. Valerie Plame was the kind of real life secret agent George Bush dreams of being when he’s not too busy pretending to be a cowboy or a fighter pilot.

And a little quote from my article:

Note the title [“Traitors don’t get to question my patriotism!”] – that’s the “new rule” Maher opened that rant with. Has anyone openly called Bush and Cheney traitors on TV? I sure hadn’t heard of it before. I’ve written before that I don’t watch much TV these days, but I think if someone had said this before I’d be hearing about it.

    That was in March:

    Thanks for the video, Larry.

    Thanks for posting.

Can’t get over how smart, and charming, and good looking Valerie is.

For that matter Joe is a good looking dude himself.

Really cool couple. I wish them the best.

Real Time has rarely — if ever — gotten more real. Maher shows himself to be a more adept journalist than most of the bobbleheads who interviewed Valerie the past couple of weeks. I caught the interview last night, but thanks for posting it, Larry — it’s worth a second and third look.

The Wilsons have such class. It‘s been fascinating to witness this event, while learning more about Joe and Valerie. Thank-you to No Quarter for all of the updates.

FINALLY! I had all but lost hope that this book tour would serve to remind the public IT WAS TREASON. It felt as though she was letting herself be muffled, after all the hell they, and our country, have been put through. Whatever it was that let her be stronger on the hot seat… thank goodness for it.

  • taters

Thanks Larry. Excellent. I also heard Valerie on “Wait, Wait, Don’t Tell Me” this AM and she did well.
Bill came out stronger than usual on Ann Coulter, who has gotten a pass from him more than once.

Missed this is real time so was so pleased to see it here. Thank you! I hope this is what is needed to finally get Congress and the citizens off their rear ends and realize that our government has been hi-jacked by this fascist regime.

Bill Maher can be an absolute asshat on some occasions because his politics are so ad hoc. When he was on ABC he endorsed the old Hollywood Blacklist, “because we were fighting Communism.” Only after some elderly victims on the show explained what the Blacklist actually ENTAILED–guilt by association, rewarding turncoats and people willing to betray their friends–did Maher relent and admit that Blacklisting people under those conditions was wrong.

And Maher does give Ann Coulter way too much slack, when she slings so much baloney she should open a deli already. It’s obvious he’s thinking with his crotch instead of his brain.

All in all, the guy’s a loose cannon who can take incredibly reactionary stances at times without considering that he’s getting into bed with people whom he otherwise hates.

  • Donovan Fraser

I love the muted laugh she gave when talking about the death pnalty for treason.
It was very Dr. Evil. you go girl!!!!

  • Shirin

It certainly does not hurt that Valerie and Joe Wilson come across consistently as very likeable people.

  • Bill Keyes

    Update 9:13 PM MST

Valerie is up to #6 on amazon’s list!!!

  • Mr.Murder

Ms.Wilson is a walking glamour shot for CIA recruitment. She is an icon in media terms. James Bond movies never had women as smart and attractive in them.

Does Holly Barry or Sharon Stone play her in the movie version?

  • sheerahkahn

“Note the title [“Traitors don’t get to question my patriotism!”] – that’s the “new rule” Maher opened that rant with.”

Oh, I like that rule…oh yes I do!

  • Kathleen

Thanks Larry had not seen this interview.

Couric’s interview sure stacked up with what Joe Wilson said about the Washington Press corp acting like this type of outrageous and criminal behaviour “outing an undercover agent” was just business asusual.
    http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2007/10/17/60minutes/main3378089.shtml

Terri Gross’s interview was not much better. Gross kept pointing the finger at Valerie as if she had asked to be outed.
    http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=15553270

Chris Matthews dug in and questioned the lack of outrage in the press.

The one interview that really confused me was when Plame/Wilson was on Keith Olbermanns Countdown when Valerie said that there is “no doubt” that Iran has a nuclear weapons program. This statement was in direct contradiction to what Iaea Elbaradei has said that there is “no hard evidence” to back up those claims.
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rmyHXKannpw

The space between what Valerie Plame Wilson said on Countdown is quite the distance between what El Baradei continues to say.
