MIDDLETOWN, Conn. (AP) – Filling in for Sen. Edward M. Kennedy and tying himself to the family’s legacy, Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama urged college graduates Sunday to “make us believe again” by dedicating themselves to public service….

Only briefly did Obama veer into campaign territory, rattling off a list of education changes he promised to make as president. Very brief chronology of the Obamas’ questionable purchase of the Kenwood mansion with indicted slumlord and notorious political fixer Antoin “Tony” Rezko:

  • At the same time, Rita Rezko buys the garden plot, 5046 South Greenwood Avenue,for the asking price of $625,000
  • June 15, 2005: Barack Obama and his wife Michelle buy 5050 South Greenwood Avenue in Kenwood, Chicago, for $1.65 million – $300,000 less than asking price
  • January 2006: Mrs. Rezko sells a 10ft strip of garden to the Obamas for $104,500
  • December 28, 2006: Mrs Rezko sells remainder of garden plot to a lawyer who works for her husband’s business for $575,000
  • Metal fence and trees prevent access to garden plot
  • Only way into garden plot is through the Obamas’ front gate

    Barack Obama is the worlds greatest illusionist. He needs no props other than a teleprompter.

    He is better than David Copperfield. Copperfield, being a mere mortal, has to make things seem to disappear every so often. That is part of his act. Everyone knows its just a trick.

    Obama is in a league of his own. Even Houdini can’t compete since Obama doesn’t need to do anything. He says change and things change. Its not a trick its real. He just says PRESTO CHANGE-O, nothing really happens, no one bothers to check but the media applauds anyway and then gives him a tongue bath.

    What a hypocrite-I live in 1.6 million dollar house, I send my kids to a 20,000 a year school but you have to be content with the public school system which is one of the worst in Chicago with only 17% of 8th graders reading at their level and one of the highest dropout rates in the country. I can’t wait unitl every skeleton in his closetstarts to come out so that he and that horrid wife of his are thrown out of the WH.

    Remember that video of interviews with actual Obama voters? They knew NOTHING about their candidate or the issues. This was all accomplished by marketing manipulation. We have elected the Wizard of OZ for president and like the wizard, he’s nothing but a very human and (it seems) deeply flawed individual under all the hype and razzle dazzle. Americans are easily manipulated, because so many are stuck in a state of perpetual childishness that requires them to be entertained, taken care of and in a constant state of gratification.

    I recommend reading a book entitled “Consumed” on how this has come about. It is really sad for many who bought into the hype, because the very people who supported and believed in Obama are the ones he is most like to betray. Reality is going to be a painful experience for many of these folks. Obama ain’t no wizard!
