JERUSALEM (Jan. 9) — Israeli jets and ground troops hammered at Hamas targets in the Gaza Strip and Islamic militants fired barrages of rockets at southern Israeli cities Friday, ignoring a U.N. resolution calling for an immediate cease-fire after two weeks of combat.
The Israeli prime minister’s office said the U.N. action was not practical, and senior Cabinet ministers decided to press on with the offensive. Israel will stop only when it succeeds in ending rocket fire from the Hamas-ruled territory, the government said.

That’s a completely assinine statement. Iraq has 2/3 of their country returned from the Saddam Hussein dictatorship, free elections where previously oppressed groups now have a voice in their government and a lower casualty rate than most American inner cities.

I saw the stuff you posted about. I have no doubt that most of this Israel hate and propaganda is phony. Israelis are retaliating against the hate and terror directed towards them. Those particular links were moderated out of existence.

“At least 30 people were killed in the Zeitoun district of Gaza after Israeli troops repeatedly shelled a house to which more than 100 Palestinians had been evacuated by the Israeli military, the UN said today.

The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs ()CHA), said in a report it was “one of the gravest incidents since the beginning of operations” against Hamas militants in Gaza by the Israeli military on 27 December.

OCHA said the incident took place on 4 January, a day after Israel began its ground offensive in Gaza. According to testimonies gathered by the UN, Israeli soldiers evacuation about 110 Palestinians (women and children) to a single-storey house in Zeitoun, south-east Gaza. The evacuees were instructed to stay indoors for their safety, but 24 hours later the Israeli army shelled the house. The report also complains that the Israeli Defence Force prevented medical teams from entering the area to evacuate the wounded.”
