Hillary to be “Coronated” Tuesday?
By SusanUnPC on January 9, 2009 at 12:35 AM in Current Affairs, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton
Be sure to tune in to C-Span2 on your TV sets (or check for audio/video computer transmissions) on Tuesday, January 13, 2009 — the day that Hillary faces the Senate’s Foreign Relations committee for her confirmation as Secretary of State.
Want to know the worst part of Hillary’s confirmation hearings this coming Tuesday?
I heard that the new chair of the Foreign Relations Committee, since chair Joe Biden will be busy packing (I presume) to make his big move, will be none other than the always entertaining, effervescent John Kerry. Yawn.
God, this is so typical of the U.S. Senate’s Web sites. Notice that the Web site for the Foreign Relations Committee membership page hasn’t even updated the list of members and that SOME of the members doubtless will NOT be participating:
Congress
Committee Members
|
Christopher J. Dodd
Connecticut John F. Kerry Russell D. Feingold Barbara Boxer Bill Nelson Barack Obama(resigned) Benjamin L. Cardin Robert P. Casey Jr. Jim Webb

|
Chuck Hagel
Nebraska Norm Coleman Bob Corker George V. Voinovich Lisa Murkowski Jim DeMint Johnny Isakson David Vitter John Barrasso

What do you suppose they’ll be asking Hillary?
Will they lay off Bill?
Is there any chance it’ll be as sweet and cozy as the Daschle hearing on Wednesday?
