The folks with oil heat, especially in the northeast, are really going to suffer this winter. Well, they say the people with natural gas heat are going to pay through the nose too. Per usual, Bellingham and Pierce County (Tacoma) had it the worst -- boy, Bellingham has a nice state college, but they get the WORST weather in the state -- more snow, more cold, more wind, more rain. And I couldn't call out ... which was actually quite unnerving because, if I fell or dislocated one of my new hips, I would be so screwed. Sigh. I even tried to find someone who could call me once an hour but, since I couldn't call anyone or send any e-mail, I wasn't able to.
