Schuster Owned By Zeigler On MSNBC Regarding Sarah Palin

Ed. Note: Originally published at Flopping Aces blog.

::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

John Zeigler absolutely owned the nimrod David Schuster during this interview. My favorite part? Zeigler telling Schuster he is a joke:

Then there was round two where he is owned once more:

He actually named David Brooks, Chuck Hagel and Kathleen Parker as Republicans who represent our party…..oh man, can’t make this stuff up.

And then he has the nerve to ask:

“Isn’t it important to try to test her credibility”

This coming from the network that did everything but wear a blue dress for Obama. Does anybody remember when it was that any MSM outfit asked Obama what the front page news story of the NYT’s was? Sheesh….what a nimrod.

I find it fascinating how downright scared these liberals are of Sarah Palin. We all know the MSM has their back and all but to start the attack machine four years before the next election is pretty indicative of a very scared party. They know Obama will own this recession. They suspect we may be attacked again since the enemy now knows we have another Clinton in office with no spine. And they understand that a very well qualified female, unlike the current President-elect who is completely unqualified for his job, could give Obama a run for his money.

    oh HELL YES she can!

all of the videos they have at their site were GREAT to view and just last night I watched them

gawd I still hate that little weasel shitster for turning into such a hack

    :blech:

    • http://truthisgold.blogspot.com truthisgold

Dawn, LMAO you go girl!! ;) )

      • nancy sabet

Schuster is a jerk and a joke.

    • kat in your hat

      MSNBC SUCKS!

  • OxyCon

David Shyster and MessNBC were completely exposed for their biased reporting and Obama advocacy during these two interviews.
Shyster proved Zeigler’s points every time he opened his mouth.

    • snosandy

For David Shuster to make such accusations of someone he has never even interviewed, he is “clearly unqualified” to be called a news reporter. What happened to opinion free news? And I’m not talking about opinion shows with pundits, I’m talking about shows that are actual news programs.

  • Typewriterstreaming

MSNBC is complete trash. Absolute and complete trash.

    • oowawa

OMG–David Schuster’s tone and demeanor bring back the days of the interrogators in the McCarthy hearings in the 50′s. And this is a news interview? MSNBC is in serious trouble.

    • http://truthisgold.blogspot.com truthisgold

Type, Understatement of the Year and Shyster is a brain dead moron. It was grand to watch Ziegler stand tall and state that the Emperor Has No Clothes. At long last, a smart guy who tells the truth. Gotta luvvit!

  • paul_lukasiak

what kills me about shuster is his repeated questioning of whether Palin accepted any responsibility. In the clip shown, Palin acknowledges that the first interview with Couric “did not go well” — which to me sounds like an admission that she’d done poorly.

    • Dawnelle

as an X bleeding heart I can TELL YOU

Most if not ALL of those sanctimonious types are looking for you to admit you screwed up and once you admit it they feel superior and can go about their daily drama’s, latte in hand!

Superior and puffed up like some sick blow fish.

I think I argued at least every OTHER day with one especially who wore the S of sanctimony on each word she preached and the rest of us who use the wrong politically correct term or frankly have any back bone are quickly shut down (picked up a few tricks there)
      (she was from idaHO btw)

anyway, David wanted to feel SUPERIOR

      he’s a little little wiener of a man-boy imo
      his day will surely come

      • stodgie

agree dawnelle! also i might add that shyster is poorly informed. greta made the point that the so called journalists will not get off their arse and actually go research a story. say what you want about geraldo, he gets in the thick of things.

now if old obie(the second edward r murrowNOT) would actually bring intelligent people from the other side to debate with him, his show might survive. however i see messynbc not doing well in the years ahead. look at the nytimes! their readers are refusing to buy the paper. i used to think it was a treat on sunday to have a good breakfast and the times. now no times, no way!

        • Dawnelle

oh my gosh MOM just brought to my attention yesterday at the size difference in our local paper!

          less pages
          smaller width

freaky as she depends on that paper each morning

I am happy with the NET and would rather save the trees but my MOM’s generation don’t feel that way and it’s understandable. I don’t drink coffee or smoke ciggys (anymore, 10 yrs now) so the unity dance that went on with paper, ciggy, coffee (my dad’s ritual) those days are over I suspect.

          • stodgie

no ciggys for me! no nytimes for me! (i do like certain parts of it (travel, entertainment and real estate) but i won’t support the paper anymore by buying it as long as they don’t do serious reporting. sure there are still some excellent folks there thank goodness!

i got the local paper here and got tired of the bigger trash with all the paper in it so i now do it online. it is called changing with the times(pun).

            • Dawnelle

hehe yeap but has the size of the paper itself changed? I mean this was weird! It’s like a newspaper for little people. Next will be barbie dream house size.
              HA

              • stodgie

smile! since a bunch of little people are writing these days, it fits!

      • FranSC

Shuster became meaner after he was suspended for those two weeks last year for saying Chelsea Clinton was “being pimped out”. If that had happened 30 days later, he would not have been suspended since MSNBC got bolder and bolder.

When Tim Russert died, Shuster talked about how supportive Tim was of him during that time. He has tried to “prove” himself to be a true MSNBCer ever since.

I read somewhere that Shuster’s parents are college professors. I guess that puts him in the same “low class” category as Sara Palin whose parents were also teachers.

I just want to hit him with something. This is waaaay too reminiscent of those first 60 days of 2008 when MSNBC & CNN were like non-stop positive advertising for BO and constant bashing of Hillary. I thought I would lose my mind during those horrible days.

    • rolling_thunder

Remember when she trashed Hillary with that refrigerator remark? Katie Couric is trash.
They treat Obama with kid gloves and then edit out Palins good stuff and ……ah cripe!

Why do they all yell so much and never give anyone a chance to answer?

Please explain the comment below. I have no idea what you are saying because Clinton = spine and backbone…teh heh

They suspect we may be attacked again since the enemy now knows we have another Clinton in office with no spine

      • snosandy

The article was written on a different blog (obviously a conservative blog) and reposted here, so its not a comment that most No Quarter bloggers agree with.

        • rolling_thunder

Thanks snosandy. I Was wondering.

    • Welcome Back Carteh

Shuster wants Palin to apologize for even running. What an asshat.

  • James Limbaugh

You have it 100% bass ackwards. Ziegler came off as an obnoxious twit, and when he had the opportunity to directly answer Shuster’s line of questioning he came off as evasive and unctuous.

And why did you neglect to mention that many on the conservative side of the fence are none too happy about Ziegler’s unfair and slanted handling of Palin in his so-called “documentary”?

    • stodgie

ziegler came off just fine however your hero can’t off as an asshat! he had his ass handed to him.

      • James Limbaugh

Where exactly did I assert that Shuster is my hero? Where exactly did I state any opinion about my feelings concerning Shuster? Your incorrect assumption is the sort of inane nonsense I’d expect from, say, Daily Kos or Free Republic, not No Quarter. Maybe I should explain it in simple words for you: David Shuster is just another Versaiiles Beltway Village television journalist. He does not impress me in the least now, nor did he when he was on FOX News Channel.

        • stodgie

oh grow up! i am not a latte liberal, james. i am a former republican. and i don’t need your simple words from a simple mind.

palin was an excellent choice for veep. there is nothing wrong with her. just a bunch of men scared of a strong woman. does that include you? sorta seems like it to me.

          • James Limbaugh

            “oh grow up!”

This from a poster who throws around terms like “asshat.”

“i am not a latte liberal, james.”

            Irrelevant.

            “i am a former republican.”

            Again, irrlelvant.

“… and i don’t need your simple words from a simple mind.”

Evidently you do, because you seem to react with a stream of invective, irrelevant (and outright diversionary and deflective) assertions, and cannot take a little good-humored chopbusting.

“palin was an excellent choice for veep.”

The majority of Republicans I know disagree strongly. And if they didn’t back in August, they do now. In fact, the immediate reaction among most Republicans I know when McCain announced his VP choice ranged from incredulity to comments about self-sabotage.

“there is nothing wrong with her.”

There is plenty “wrong with her” — including her insistence on blaming everybody but herself for her litany of missteps, ranging from her continued defense of Alaska’s socialist-welfare-state transfer of money from energy entrepreneurs into citizens’ pockets to her failure to make a dent in Alaska’s criminal drug culture to her failure to attack the culture of political bribery (and here someone needs to lift the rug from Alaska’s democrat establishment – Ted Stevens is hardly the only eager recipient of bribes) to her self-sabotaging habit of making contradictory statements and handing over to her political enemies ample ammunition to call her a “flip-flopper,” “chameleonic opportunist” and “liar” (all of which she has been called by her Republican critics).

She needs to hire a world-class political adviser with both solid media connections and strong ties to the RNC and start undoing the damage now, or she stands no chance of being taken seriously next, when the real campaign maneuvering begins.

“just a bunch of men scared of a strong woman.”

A woman who spends an entire interview deflecting blame to everyone else in the world and refusing to acknowledge even one mistake on her part — as Palin did in her interview with Ziegler — strikes me not only as weak but lacking in character. She also came off as self-absorbed and phony.

There are plenty of strong women in the GOP: Kay Bailey Hutchison, Liddy Dole, and Ileana Ros-Lehtinen all come immediately to mind — and all would have made a far superior alternative to Palin as a running mate for McCain.

            • stodgie

james the only one you name with any real ability is hutchison. dole and ross lehtinen are both embarrassments. and your dislike of palin trying to use others to justify your personal dislike makes you an embarrassment.

palin doesn’t need the rnc. dang, they are a bunch of whiny losers themselves. does that include you? it would seem so. the rnc needs to shake off the mindset that helped them lose the whole enchilada and the so called voters who are as ignorant as some of them. most of them don’t have a clue was a real conservative is.

            • rw

“A woman who spends an entire interview deflecting blame to everyone else in the world and refusing to acknowledge even one mistake on her part”

What mistake should she have acknowledged?

              • http://helpmejoseph.typepad.com/puma_for_life/ Mountain Girl

Abusers always blame te victim for what was done to them. They did this to Hillary and they did this to Sarah. So, it’s Sarah’s fault that the press slandered her and defamed her reputation and this is because she not only refused to say she read the NYT, but she did not mention the exact article that she read. I see, perfectly logical.

            • kgirl1028

let’s recap this, BUSH GOT US IN TO A FRACKING WAR WE CAN’T GET OUT OF AND YOU CRUCIFIED ANYONE WHO SAID ANYTHING AGAINST IT FOR YEARS. As I see it you have no problems supporting dumb people.

Which tells me that McCain was correct in his choice and he has better judgment NATURALLY than Obama can every try to copy.

James, with all due respect, there’s no point in trying to discuss anything with the remnants that continue to post on NQ. It has been relegated to the lowest common denominator of basement dwellers who hate everybody and are determined to take their misery out on the upcoming administration.

Do not bother trying to engage them. Go over to Rumproast or Yestodemocracy if you’re looking for substantive discussion.

Stop by here to point and laugh at the losers.

“jeff, put a sock in it”

Such maturity, such erudition and perspicacity. Stodgie, who is not even woman enough to use her own real name, proves her cognizance, command of the facts and ability to debate the issues of media bias and Governor Palin’s fitness for higher office or lack thereof by screaming “Shut up!”

Larry, who is one of the smartest and bravest SOBs running a blog right now, must be cringing as he checks out stodgie’s comments, thinking, “With friends like this…”

              • stodgie

james, many of us left the repub party because of know nothings like you. and your pathetic attempts at put downs are as pathtetic as the so called repub pundits who unfairly attacked palin. they want the same ole tired hacks who helped put us into war with iraq, broke the treasury and helped put the usa on a downward spiral. gee thanks for nothing james.

My question is what the hell is anyone besides Zeigler on your side of the ailse trying to do? If they don’t like the way Zeigler is handling her, why can’t one of them do something better? Except for people like Limbaugh, Levin,, Hannity, and Ingraham, whose concervative blather i am actually starting to agree with, I haven’t heard a whole lot of support for sarah palin out there from republicans.

        • rolling_thunder

Hatin’ Palin much? Scared she’ll beat the pants off of nObama in 2012? Hate is fear.

  • tango

What bugged me is how Schuster kept asking if Palin was qualified (which is a very legitimate question) and Zeigler never gave the correct return punch. He could’ve said that is the problem – stories were reported about Palin that were proved to be false with some reasonable investigation but where was the big front page correction headlines? Ooops, they weren’t there. Where was any major prominent media person slamming the wackadoos who spread the gossip Palin was not Trigs mother? Where were they when the Sarah Palin was a “C” tee shirt photos were making the rounds? Ask her about her policies, ask her about specific experience, ask her about her political performance but don’t slam her children, make fun of her husband via a tastless incest skit on SNL, degrade her character because of her hobbies like hunting, flame her for choosing not to have an abortion and then try to say all that indicates political qualifications.

That was the rub. If they had grilled her only on her job performance or experience or lack of, fine, but all the excess gossip about her family and that I felt was over the line. Mrs. Obama and her children were out of bounds so should’ve been Mrs. McCain and the Palin family too. Heck, Mr. Palin never even spoke out publicly on his wifes positions during the Presidential race unlike both Mrs. McCain and Mrs. Obama! And just because PE Obama said they were out of bounds doesn’t cut it because he certainly didn’t follow that request with anything but silence when specific attacks took place. In other words, I say this but I mean MY family is off limits but go after Cindy McCain and Todd Palin and the Palin children all you want.

It’s a cold hearted world when any American citizen says that the minor children of any politician should be killed. I’m sure some loser said it about the Obama children but I doubt it was with the same sick glee some did when they referred to that “little retarded baby that should’ve been aborted” or that “slut white trash Bristol who should be killed”.

    • BernieO

To me the most damning point is that there was never any comparably tough interview of Obama. He was not challenged about his lack of experience, as well as his neglect of his job as Senator. How many interviewers asked him hard questions about his relationship with his long time mentor Rezko, particularly that house deal which happened after Obama knew Rezko was being investigated by the Feds? (On McLaughlin Pat Buchanan said Obama’s ties to corrupt players in Ill. was the most underreported story of the year. He was right.)Did anyone ask Obama how it was he did not know that his own constituents were trapped in Rezko’s slums? Are we to believe that none of them ever complained to him when he was their state senator?

The right wants to frame this problem as liberal bias, but it really is based in class and gender bias as well as envy of those who are smarter than they are. It is not just conservatives that they savage. The media used sexist attacks to trash Hillary. They constantly hounded Bill and portrayed him as white trash. Bush was well-liked by the media, something they try to hide by claiming they only gave him a pass after 9-11. The truth is they helped the Republicans sell him to us in 2000 by willingly ignoring his blatant lies, his history of bankruptcies, insider trading, and downplaying his National Guard history all the while praising him as a regular guy who would be fun to have a beer with. In contrast, they portrayed Gore as a dishonest phony.

A democracy cannot function when voters make choices based on such propaganda. The media deserves a large share of blame for the mess we are in as a result of Bush’s presidency. Clearly the media believe that they are more qualified than the rest of us to pick our presidents and have no qualms about biasing information to make sure their guy(and I do mean guy)wins.

      • snosandy

According to Obama, Howard Dean, Bill Maher, and that so-called journalist in Canada, if you didn’t support Obama you’re “Typical, racist, f**king dumb, white trash.”

      • Diana L. C.

I absolutely agree about the “class” issue. Any time a discussion with my bot acquaintances gets on the topic of the election and I start giving some information about THE HIGH HOLY ONE that makes them uncomfortable, they change the subject and start on poor Sarah because they assume I will agree that she is just somehow the mentally defective trailer trash woman image they have built for her in their prejudiced minds.

When I disagree and point out she was running for VP and that it seems strange to me that they don’t instead bring up the name of McCain and, instead of attaking his VP, make an argument against O’s opponent, that doesn’t even stop them. (Notice it didn’t stop Shuster either.)

And if I make the point that Sarah Palin, McCain’s VP candidate, had more experience than their Presidential pick, they just get more angry and start saying that they just KNOW I am going against everything I ever thought before–they don’t even address my point.

I say to them, because some know my relatives, that their hatred for Palin seems to show me their feelings about my rancher sister and many of my female cousins, who remind me of Palin. That shuts them up for a second, but then they have the audacity to say they believe even I wouldn’t vote for my relatives against their most magnificent ONE.

If I even try to continue with the comparison of her experience to Obama’s, they just start babbling and screaming and won’t let me get a word in, just as Shuster did in these videos. They get rude and childish, and all chance of a logical disussion goes out the proverbial window. It’s a sad state.

They are prejudiced because she is not their type of the “typical white woman.” They are more afraid of the blue collar whites than they have ever been afraid of any American of color. How, after all, could they ever keep their lofty status as the crème de la crème if a white woman like Palin got a position higher than theirs?

I truly believe I would rather have an honest soccer mom in the White House than a shyster Shuster-type Chicago machine politiian like O any day. It really makes me sad to see this class prejudice.

We need to find a way to use the class card on them whenever they even try to use the race card on us.

Most of the pundits have never been elected. They have gotten where they are through their expensive educations, which help give them the connections to get where they are. There is a certain game to be played and it is learned in that process. They are miffed that someone, a woman!!! even, can come out on top without doing all that to get there. “That is not the way the game is played”, they whine. “We set the standards for the club.” BO played their game. Sarah actually had to go against the powers-that-be and got herself elected over and over, and was the most popular governor. I know these kinds of things first-hand, having gone to prep school and an ivy college. In theory, I should look down on Sarah, but I like and respect her. She is a person who tries to get things done. The so-called ‘intellectuals’ just like to talk endlessly. Sarah remains popular with a wide cross-section of people. Schuster acts like a twit. He is not even a particularly smart twit.

    • Dawnelle

      Good to hear that Fran

This middle-class Gal Veteran w/only 2 yrs of college likes her too! For the same reasons and more.

Sometimes those of us with little college education have a lot more common sense than those who are highly educated. This comes from someone with a community college education and is married to a Harvard Business School graduate.

    • stodgie

fran, the major thing i notice is the total lack of common sense among these so called pundits. education means nothing if you can’t use it. we need to teach our youth critical thinking skills.

      • Fran

One thing you learn in an ivy school, is not to have original ideas! If you question things, you had better be strong.

I happened to go there by default. Decided while I was a student that I would never send my kid there.

btw, another ‘secret’ is that, if you have enough money and/or connections, you WILL graduate, no matter what.

I actually had to work full-time to support myself while I was a student. Unlike most students. Even my nice friends do not really get it.

Even as a student I thought, what good is it for someone to have all of the advantages life can offer, if all you become is a higher level consumer?

        • stodgie

excellent points! i also worked in college. my parents and i had an agreement. they paid for lodging, food, and medical care. i bought the car and paid tuition/books/clothes!

i went to graduate school at night while working in the daytime.

    • lauraks

my kid went to a prep school and is now at an ivy yet most of relatives are exactly like Sarah Palin.Fortunatly her mind hasn’t been warped at school and she voted for Palin(she’s a dem. too) because she said O “is annoying” like alot of guys at her school. Definite woody woo tool had he gone there.

  • rw

    Palin said it: classism.

When is the rest of the US going to revolt against the east/west coasts dominance on what is news/what is entertainment and how they are framed and presented.

My favorite: you’re not the center of everyone’s universe….pygmy.

Pimp mouth Shuster’s “aren’t you diminishing real assassinations by using, etc.” merited the use of the word azzhole; joke was tooooo mild.

-and before the PC patrol descends: like the use of the word assassinate, as in character assassination, see dictionary entry 3. definition (2) of the use of the word ‘pygmy’ as in intellectual pygmy.

    • stodgie

rw, this class system is not just the coasts and latte liberals so to speak. it is the american idol generation who are dumbed down and refuse to use their minds.

This interview is ridiculous. Mr. Schuster needs to be wearing one of those wonderful “Palin is a c*nt” t-shirts.

    Welcome to 1984.

  • Sassy

I hope Governor Palin stays on the scene, and keeps dishing it out.
I’m looking forward to voting for her again!

    • Dawnelle

It would be my pleasure putting her bumper sticker on my car again. This time I hope they don’t steal it.

      The world is NUTS

  • stodgie

hmm, i’d like to see schuster interview her now when she isn’t under the thumb of the campaign people. that would be quite a show!

    • DEO

I would like to see ANY serious journalist interview Palin! Not one HAS.
Couric TRIED, look what she got for her trouble. Accused of asking tough questions…why shouldn´t she ask hard questions, anyway????? and WHAT DO YOU READ is not a GOTCHA question.
Greta is sycophant. No really, I would LOVE someone who would actaully CALL Palin on things to do it. I mean really ask and re ask, since Palin evades questions and just uses buzz words to deflect issues. I saw Wolf answer a question FOR Sarah, because she would NOT answer him, he r9olled his eyes and answered for her, did you see that one?
Paslin has the gift of CON. She you all fooled. AND FOOLED YOU ARE! ha1 ha!

      • stodgie

i believe the term sycophant belongs to couric. and greta? i so don’t agree with you. couric is a gotcha sell out wannabe journalist. why she is still on abc is a question in my mind. all of the 24 hour media outlets are pathetic to say the least. they have the same ole talking heads and excusers on everyweek. the one breath of fresh air scares you. palin never took a mistep in the campaign except to sit down with gotcha. shame on her handlers for not schooling her before that. couric has NEVER DONE A SERIOUS INTERVIEW. the giggle queen is pathetic.

        • stodgie

and wolfie? he is not a journalist today. if he ever was, it is long gone!

      • Ferd Berfle

Paslin has the gift of CON. She you all fooled. AND FOOLED YOU ARE! ha1 ha!

This coming from a Kool-Aide imbibing obamabot who worships at the feet of a false messiah. LMAO

        • stodgie

yup ferd, this poster does sound like a scared obot. there are a few ole dinos from the rnc home for tired ole repubs on here trying to trash sarah also. i have to wonder at how stupid the repubs were who turned on the mccain/palin.

          • Ferd Berfle

I have to wonder at how stupid the repubs were who turned on the mccain/palin.

Me, too. If all those neocons and fundies who voted for Bush came out and voted for McCain, we might all be breathing a bit easier now. Instead, we get a neophyte circus clown and his ringmaster wife. There is a lot of blame to go around, for sure.

            • Diana L. C.

I believe there might have been some class issues in the Repub party too. The ones who might have voted for McCain, were shocked by Palin. The ones who liked Palin did not like McCain sometimes.

              • Ferd Berfle

                I agree.

As for being shocked, I was shocked by the unvetted That One and even further shocked that the members of the former Democratic Party fell for him like a group of love-sick puppy dogs.

      • rolling_thunder

I would LOVE someone who would actaully CALL OBAMA on things to do it. I mean really ask and re ask, since OBAMA evades questions and just uses buzz words to deflect issues.

      • snosandy

You’re an Obot if you think Obama was asked any tough questions by any so called journalist througout the campaign.

        • jbjd

You’re an Obot if you think BO refuses to answer reporters questions because these questions have already been asked, and not because he has something to hide.

      • Diana L. C.

Again–who asked tough questions of O? Give me a break! It was assumed he might try to answer and put us all to sleep with his amazing rhetorical skills–”um, uh, uh, you know, um.”

Again, Palin was not running against Obama. She didn’t make half the mistakes her opponent Biden made. And hers were equivalent to things like “57 states,” which The ONE made.

      • Welcome Back Carteh

The transcripts of Gibson’s interview of Palin v. Obama presents a strong case for bias, especially since there was such a strong general outcry when Obama was pressed on his relationship with Ayers during a debate moderated by Gibson. The interview was MUCH gentler. Not so with Palin, and at that point she was being introduced to the public and asked to articulate her experience and her running mate’s positions, not stand up to a media test on whether she could be trusted with the red button if McCain died. It was exceptionally condescending for a woman of her political achievements.

  • JulieD

Great job Curt! um uh um uh like um uh BOBO ever said anything worth listening to…
or that he even can speak when it isn’t presented to him via teleprompter.

David Suckster blows. He was hired when that other perpetually hoarse gal who only investigated Natalie Holloway was.

It’s a joke network sans humor.

    • stodgie

yeah julie i remember that gal and her name eludes me this morning. frankly i prefer her to suckster. her show was like reading one of those tell alls while you wait in line at the grocery checkout whereas there is nothing redeeming about him.

      • http://deleted Buzz Latte LaRue

        Rita someone???

I know who you mean…can’t come up with her name though.

        • JulieD

          Buzz Latte LaRue –

You rock! It’s Cosby – Rita Cosby! I never would have gotten there. Gracias!

          • http://deleted Buzz Latte LaRue

            Wow! Back at you!

I was just about to post that I thought her name is Rita Cosby!!

            Cosmic connection there, JulieD!

    • rolling_thunder

nObama was on meet the press this morning. He was interviewed for 30 minutes and it was painful. I have NO IDEA what he is saying. He talks out both sides of his mouth and makes NO sense what-so-ever!

      • Ferd Berfle

He’s too busy ensuring that he doesn’t say anything to contradict his previous lies, which in turn were made to ensure that his lies before that were not discovered. And so it goes. Being a pathological liar has to take its toll on the old memory department.

  • JULIE

SCHUSTER NEEDS TO BE FIRED AGAIN!! THIS MAN IS A JOKE!!

    • stodgie

is schuster married??? he makes his dislike of women so evident the question comes to mind.

      • JulieD

Born 1967. He graduated from Bloomington H.S in 1985.

He was married on May 27, 2007 to journalist Julianna Lee Goldman, at the Sixth & I Historic Synagogue, in Washington, D.C.

Shuster and Goldman live in Washington.

        • stodgie

he is married to a journalist and then behaves like he does. hmmmm? he is playing with the good ole boys for advancement i’d say.

        • Just_Saying

She of the Goldman Sachs’ Goldmans?

Journalists are students who couldn’t hack math or science in school, and didn’t want to be sociologists.
          .

  • mel

What is so continually hysterical is the repeating of Couric’s question of what Palin reads, when will someone ask the media if the ever read Obama’s book of lies in Dreams of my Useless drunk father?

How come no media person has asked Obama why he lied about his being a product of Selma, his lie of it puting a scare on ever person who actually par-took and suffered in that march?

With all the lies in that book, how come no media person has taken on Obama for what he is, a pathological liar?

    • PKJayne

Dreams of my Useless drunk father?

      Thanks for the laugh mel.

  • I’m a Linda too

So, David Shyster is a very angry sexist. He calls Hillary Clinton “pimping out Chelsea” and the list goes on.

Shuster also seems like he may have a crush on Obama too, that he feels he should use any demeaning and condescending word to explain Obama’s opposition. And he still wants to be call a news man? I think he better stay at MSNBC if he wants to have any job in the future in media.

And again, we were wrong. It was staring at us in the face.

WHY WAS MSNBC even that much worse than NBC?

    M=male
    S=sexist
    N=network
    B=broadcasting
    C=corporation

MSNBC is the network broadcasing male sexists.

Finally, the truth sets them free

    • I’m a Linda too

In case you didn’t catch it. The other obviou fact we were over looking as it was staring us in the face.

Shyster, David Shyster, Shuster is being used to hide the truth.

Davis Shyster works at the MSNBC, Male Sexist Network Broadasting Corporation.

      How fitting.

  • Lurker

    Curt,

Thanks for the great post w/videos! John Zeigler was great. He was all over that dingle berry “nimrod” Schuster. Love it!

  • DAB

Schuster is in no way a reporter or anchor but clearly a brazen advocate for his chosen redeemer. In comparison, that station has made Fox look downright “fair and balanced” after all.

I look forward to all of the books and documentaries that use actual clips of these media Bozos to make their points for History and Posterity.

  • EWard

David Schuster is a joke! I majored in journalism and when he made the statement that “clearly” the American people felt Palin was not qualified to be the VP that is a an opinion. Ziegler was brilliant!

  • DEO

Honestly, it looks to be the other way around to me, zeigler just looks like he´s in denial…especially because in the video, Palin IS whining and complaining for 9 minutes. In the blame game she took 3 women down! Couric for asking Sarah WHAT DO YOU READ?, Fey, when actually Palin was ON THAT SHOW WITH FEY. So that´s a contradiction, right there. Also it was kind of divisive for Palin to say Kennedy got a better shake from the press because of CLASS. Yhe press are comparing Kennedy TO Palin, so it´s not like Kenendy is getting an easy time. Nothing Palin said in that 9 minute BWAHHHH fest was even TRUE.
I see it as a personality problem. Palin falls into the same traps constantly. She cannot resist a chance to complain, to deflect responsibility by making excuses. When she is preaching to choir the BS knows NO BOUNDS, She needs to be BIGGER in other ways, not just her hair,
I think Coulter is right, Palin needs to bone up and wise up….and 4 years is not enough time for this kind of growth. You know, she is eying THE PRESIDENCY. Get real.

    • http://www.hillaryorbust.com Hillary or Bust

“Also it was kind of divisive for Palin to say Kennedy got a better shake from the press because of CLASS.”

Actually, Palin was spot on with that statement. Exceptionally spot on.

      • snosandy

Because of Caroline Kennedy’s name and class, she is forgiven by the press for giving such a painful interview, and they still support her to replace Hillary in the Senate.

        • Ferd Berfle

Well, you know, it’s not like, you know, that Caroline has to, you know, be able to speak, you know, the Queen’s English, you know, because she’s like, a Kennedy, you know and you know, that’s all that, you know, matters.

I can’t wait, you know, to see her, you know, first bill, you know.

And I thought That One was far less than a stellar orator.

          • Annie Oakley

Maybe her first bill would be to you know, get rid of the uh, you now, elections because uh, the only thing, you know, they seem to you know still be you know good for, uh… is enriching you know television networks you know.

Maybe they could do a duet.

            Ummm.

            You know.

            Uhhh.

            You know.

            • Ferd Berfle

              LMAO.

              Dueling orators:

In this corner, weighing in at 110 lbs., Barry theeeeeee “Stutterer” Soetoro.

And in the opposite corner, weighing in at 110 lbs., Caroline “Youuuuuuuu Know” Kennedy.

        • Welcome Back Carteh

Caroline’s class and name are the extent of her resume in its entirety. Period. She’s never worked a day in her life or shown any interest in holding political office… not even voting. When anyone says she is “qualified,” they point out she went to a finishing school, has a famous dead dad and knows plenty of people with money and / or a DC townhouse. Fantastic!

          • snosandy

So how would appointing Caroline Kennedy as the new Senator from New York not be “pay for play?”

Afterall, the reasons she would be appointed are that she has the ability to raise millions of dollars for the Democratic Party, she would endorse Patterson in his bid for re-election, and her special friendship with PEBO would help her get more federal money for the state of New York.

    • HC

job “Nothing Palin said in that 9 minute BWAHHHH fest was even TRUE.”

      This statement is absolutely absurd.

I know Governor Palin is very scary to you, but take a deep breath and lay off the caps.

    • HC

“Nothing Palin said in that 9 minute BWAHHHH fest was even TRUE.”

      This statement is absolutely absurd.

I know Governor Palin is very scary to you, but take a deep breath and lay off the caps.

    • I’m a Linda too

You seem to be making things up here, but not a surpise.

I will not go tit for tat on all your false claims, but one to show how Obama and his supporters like to lie.

your incorrect statement of :”Also it was kind of divisive for Palin to say Kennedy got a better shake from the press because of CLASS.”

Palin didn’t say that. As a matter of fact, she said…and CNN even quoted her correctly, was going to be WATCHING how the press treats Caroline.

But, as usual, make false claims.

    • Ferd Berfle

Also it was kind of divisive for Palin to say Kennedy got a better shake from the press because of CLASS.

LMAO. Spoken like a true bot who supports the most divisive caricature of a POTUS-elect in many a moon.

  • stodgie

deo, don’t even go there. you are standing up for couric by stomping on palin? wtf? couric is one of the biggest women bashers for political purposes currently on tv. she is a JOKE! she was beyond cruel to elizabeth edwards. if i were sarah, i’d have hit her with a verbal putdown you’d still be talking about today. sarah was too dang polite for that witch.

so palin was on snl? so frigging what? that doesn’t change the fact that fey was out of line. you are standing on thin air there. and yes caroline does have an easy time of it not only from the dimocrats but their suckup media counterparts.

and when has anything coulter said or wrote that wasn’t simply for the purposes of making money for her books? the answer is never!

    • Fran

The thing that got me about the Couric interview and the Palin put-down is that – wasn’t Couric bombing when she first got her show? It was Palin’s first interview. Couric, of all people, should have been a lot nicer.

      • DAB

Exactly! No compassion from Katie in an area that she should personally understand. After having been on TV for many years, she was absolutely horrible delivering the eveing news. It took her a good while to be even a marginally acceptable anchor. What nerve!

      • rolling_thunder

Why’d did the Repubs insist on a second Couric/Palin interview when the first one should have never occured in the first place. Katie Couric is in the tank for Obama and can’t be unbiased if her life depended on it. Palin will campaign much better without Mac’s campaign team who had NO CLUE. Mac interviewed her for the job and immediately sent her off to rallies in OHIO with only a change of clothes and no preparation. She did great inspite of the Obama sucking talking heads and sausage fest.

        • Welcome Back Carteh

For heaven’s sake, she traveled with Obama during his European / Middle East tour and giggled when she interviewed him.

  • scorbs

Schuster’s talking over his guest was a horrible interview technique not to mention rude. He was clearly defensive, knowing at some level the bias displayed by that network. A good comeback to him might have been `do you think Obama is qualified to be president?’ At some level, MSNBC must realize that they’re running a network with no moral/ethical compass. It’s just about dollars and airtime. Very poor values. Zeigler on the other hand could have been far sharper arguing the evidence against MSNBC rather than repeating insults.

    • Ferd Berfle

Zeigler on the other hand could have been far sharper arguing the evidence against MSNBC rather than repeating insults.

But that is rather difficult to do when the host, as you said, was talking over the guest.

      • DAB

Shuster does this ALL THE TIME! You’d think that someone at the network would tell him to stop it. Very annoying and unprofessional.

        • stodgie

does anyone know who is the responsible one for all allowing all these unprofessional talking heads to run amuck on msnbc? i have to wonder about the media. first they were all repub and lovesick over bush, now it is liberal and obama. no soul and no substance at all!

          • http://www.hillaryorbust.com Hillary or Bust

It’s the freakin’ Illuminati. They wanted their puppet Obama in power and they control most of the media and made it happen.

            • Ferd Berfle

That and the millions of “illiteratti” who voted for That One.

    • JulieD

The problem is that Suckster is a humorless condescending misogynistic prick pretending to be a legitimate journalist.

Zeigler is much better looking, smarter, more articulate, funny, and made his points.

  • http://www.hillaryorbust.com Hillary or Bust

God, I cannot believe that asshole Shuster actually stated that Palin was “clearly unqualified” to be VP. She’s a sitting governor for pete’s sake! What else does she need to do to get respect, come up with the unified theory of physics?

This is why I never watch MSNBC…ever…and sadly, my dad does, all the time, which is why he’s gotten to be so belligerent towards Hillary and Palin. It’s awful.

    • Ferd Berfle

Shuster actually stated that Palin was “clearly unqualified” to be VP.

Indeed. But an unvetted, wet-behind-the-ears, Chicago thug with a lot of unchecked baggage was eminently qualified according to him. I have to laugh at these cranks who call themselves journalists.

  • James

As a center-left liberal, I’m not impressed with Sarah Palin. I think the media trashed her, but I couldn’t vote for her at the top of the ticket. She’s too conservative for me.

BUT I do see that liberals are afraid of her and her electability. If a conservative blog like “Flopping Aces” approves, then she is someone to consider and the media would like to destroy her now rather than later.

Side note: Clinton had “no spine”. pfft.. conservatives that criticized Clinton’s military actions as too aggressive are the same people who now claim he did too little. Clinton took a lot of risks as president (domestic and foreign) and was an effective leader. But again, a conservative author, so I understand.

    • stodgie

james, don’t you think the term conservative needs to be redefined. it is a term that has been so abused in recent years. of course i am a fiscal conservative that well understands the programs of fdr are much needed and helpful. a safety net is a must also.

      • Ferd Berfle

A lot of people make the mistake of equating neocon, an subspecies of idiot who is neither new or conservative, with a true conservative such as Barry Goldwater. The true conservative is OK by me.

      • James

I didn’t mean “conservative” as a bad word. I understand it’s used as an insult by many.

Maybe they need to find another word, like “progressive” instead of “liberal”.

Conservatives made “liberal” a bad word, this election cycle, liberals returned the favor.

        • stodgie

i completely agree with you. now if we can just get the democrats to remember what liberal really means. pelosi doesn’t seem to have a clue. reid, i think he knows but has no backbone. and obama? i don’t think he cares.

          • James

I agree. I don’t consider Reid, Pelosi, or Obama as true Democrats.

            • stodgie

being a big fan of fdr and truman, i well understand your point.

        • oowawa

Yes. Neither “conservative” nor “liberal” should be bad words. It is a shame that both have been demonized Both terms just need a time-out, but I doubt that political hacks will allow them any breathing space.

      • Ferd Berfle

James is probably talking about a neocon, a person who is neither new nor conservative. A true conservative, like Barry Goldwater, is OK by me but I think he was the last of them. There certainly aren’t any around in politics that I can find.

        • stodgie

yup ferd, sad but true! as i recall weren’t some of the most passionate necons former democrats. that says no central core to me. and the repubs today? they don’t have a clue about what conservative really means. country first! mccain was right about that.

i rather admired goldwater. his widow said the right wingers broke his heart in the 90s and he retired. at least he showed a passion for nature and supported privacy.

          • Ferd Berfle

i rather admired goldwater. his widow said the right wingers broke his heart in the 90s and he retired. at least he showed a passion for nature and supported privacy.

Goldwater also said (paraphrasing) that “every good Christian should kick Jerry Falwell in the ass”. I though Barry was a decent man and American.

And yes, some neocons were former democrats. Phil Graham, a former senator from Texas comes to mind. He’s a bit on the loony side.

            • stodgie

smile, yup graham does bend that way. his wife sat on the enron board by the way.

as a texan i saw the repubs change from moderate to far right in the past 10 to 15 years. geez, even bush was was a liberal new england type of repub before reagan. and delay? words can’t describe what i think of him.

              • Ferd Berfle

As an Oklahoman (surprise), I can attest to the changes in your state and in Oklahoma. It occurred in the Sooner state during the 80s when all the northerners came down to get work and brought their bad attitudes and poor work habits with them. I moved away pronto to the Southeast. Now it’s being ruined in much the same way.

and delay? words can’t describe what i think of him.

He should be boiled in oil just for his claptrap about the Terri Schiavo case.

                • stodgie

oh we got our share of folks from the north and midwest both in the 80s. i saw more michigan plates than texas. right now there is another influx of people looking for work. at least they want to work!

mayor white in houston fancies he is going to run for the senate. he is a good man but sometimes a bit misguided. now sharp(remember him) has thrown his hat into the ring. it should be interesting. a dem has a chance of winning this time.

                  • Ferd Berfle

It should be interesting. a dem has a chance of winning this time.

Hopefully we can get some real Democrats back in office. We need someone who can drive down the center, thus avoiding all the traps on the extreme right and left.

                    • stodgie

well i don’t think in texas that a far leftie has a chance of winning statewide. there is that!

    • http://www.hillaryorbust.com Hillary or Bust

I have no problem voting for her on the top of the ticket, and if she runs against Obama in 2012 I will not only vote for her but I will volunteer and try to convince every liberal I know to vote for her.

      • James

I understand her appeal. I like her and would never trash her character. But politically, I just couldn’t vote for her.

        • stodgie

james, we respect your feelings on the matter. thanks for being fair!

          • James

Thank you. I’m still anti-Obama, but it has nothing to do with the scandals of the election season.

        • HC

Doesn’t that really depend upon who she runs against? If she runs at all?

          Or it doesnt matter?

She could run against Stalin and you would vote Stalin?

There are certainly people out there who would – Matt Damon and Pam Andersen would probably make informational videos about how Stalin is just misunderstood.

    • rolling_thunder

As a center-left liberal, I’m not impressed with Sarah Palin. I think the media trashed her, but I couldn’t vote for her at the top of the ticket. She’s too conservative for me.

That’s nice. She’s not too conservative for over 57 million people. And hey, what do you KNOW about her? Or do you just believe the talking heads on Mysoginist Sexist News?
Most people don’t know anything about her except the gossip and lies that is peddled by Obarfy’s sausage fest. That’s the whole point for the interview she did for the documentary. If you had half a brain you’d know she was treated so horribly and was lied about and that it was unprecented.

  • http://undercoverblackman.blogspot.com Undercover Black Man

I used to listen to Zig on KFI talk radio (L.A.) every night. I miss him.

Indeed, he clowned Shuster. Shuster’s problem is, he’s trying to be a “personality jock” like Olbermann, Matthews and Maddow… and it doesn’t suit him. He’s all smarm, no substance. And his show is a train wreck.

Yes. Schuster lost it just with his angry demeanor, all scowl and tense in-your-face hostility, whereas Ziegler was at ease and comparatively amiable. The encounter reminded me of the Reagan-Carter debates, when Reagan won on similar style points and general amiability. Moreover, Schuster cannot forget that he is the host, and Ziegler is the guest. You don’t invite a guest into your home and treat him that way.

the reason they look so foolish is because thye have lost their righteous indignation. The hit Job they did on palin as with Joe the plumber was out of sorts and deep in their puny little hearts they know it. i have never seen anything out of it, even the mistreamtent of clinton during the 1990′s was particially his fault. But the way Palin was attacked was like nothing i have ever seen.

the reason they look so foolish is because thye have lost their righteous indignation.

That’s exactly right. And at a certain point, righteous indignation becomes a caricature of itself and turns into pompous blowhard bullying. This is exactly what has happened with Schuster and Matthews, and it’s exactly what happened to Keith Olbermann, whose first few rants against Bush were full of legitimate righteous indignation, but later turned into mean-spirited bullying against Hillary and Geraldine Ferraro. He became a laughable and pitiful caricature of himself. MSNBC is infected with a fatal virus that turns talking heads into raving lunatics. Watch out Joe and Patrick–it’s contagious!

Many men are scared of Sarah. Many men newscasters especially. Men try to dominate what they fear. Men fear women. Men newscasters fear women. Men use misogyny to domninate women and many women this election cycle used misogyny, too.

It is a clear double standard. bho the fraud gets a pass all the way through and Hillary and Sarah are trashed left and right, by women and men, general public and newscasters. noquarter had a transcript of the questions Charlie Gibson asked bho the fraud and then of Sarah Palin the duly elected Governor of Alaska. Double standard all the way.

bho has had his whole life to practice misogyny,
lying, cheating, stealing and an entire old boys club, DNC/Chicago/Axelrod/Rezko/Soros/illegal money/Dean/Pelosi/Brazile/Reid/MSM machine to help him lie, cheat, steal and denigrate women for years. Sarah has made it on her values, patriotism and hard work.

Can anyone imagine men and women citizens and men and women newscasters saying, filming, reporting “MO is a C*** on t-shirts,” bho accused of “pimping out” his wife or his daughters, bho asked on camera, “where are your BC, college records, medical records, IL State Senate records, Selective Service Registration records, etc, and why have you refused to be transparent about your life to the American people?” Whatever one’s politics, sexual terrorism played a huge part in the election results. All the male media and their female stooges had a chance to be fair and balanced and respectful of Sarah’s private life as they were of bho the fraud’s.

Shame on the media and citizens who can’t or won’t acknowledge the Neanderthal treatment of women and women politicians in our media and our country. Of course some media males and females and bloggers are still trashing Sarah–they’re afraid of her. Otherwise, they would treat her with respect.

Palin is one of few Governors not screaming for a federal bailout. She’s been fiscally responsible and socially moderate.

Shuster refused to address her record with the people of Alaska.

Instead he focused on her mistakes during interviews or her polling popularity.

If her home state, compared to many others, is in such good fiscal shape, how does that show she’s unfit or inexperienced?

On the other hand Illinois, Chicago in particular, are experiencing some real fiscal and social problems. Heck, they’re calling the National Guard in some areas to quell the gun violence.

So who has the actual record of home state achievement? Obama or Palin? Palin was only the VP. Obama’s the Pres-elect. Look at the conditions in their home states. I guess Palin, for all her “inexperience” is still better at her job.

And look at Illinois’ governor, on the record with Obama’s staff and who Obama energetically campaigned for, not to mention Patti’s role in the Rezko land deal. Obama was thick as thieves with the corruption in his state. He is more than responsible for the current mess his former district is in.

Why invite anyone for an interview if you’re going to talk all over them?. Shuster and MSNBC are a sad excuse for journalism.

  • Just_Saying

Excellent point, Masha. I couldn’t hear Ziegler’s responses because Schuster was talking/yelling over them.

Schuster’s gotta go — if only.

That Schuster is laughable alright. Doesn’t he know the President Elect’s media spokeman has been hired already. BTW, I’ve got news for him. Its the people who decide who is or is not ready to run for the executive offices of our gov’t. Usually that is. Now we have the party elders, Acorn and the media deciding whats good for us. I’ll really enjoy the economic downturn when I see MSNBC suffer. Don’t forget to contact their advertizers. Our power at home to influence the market gets stronger everyday as they compete for our dollars.

MSNBC clearly thinks it speaks for ALL Americans. We know they don’t. 75 to 80% of ALL Americans did NOT vote for Obama. Since the election, not one news program has been in the top shows watched by more than 4 million people. (“60 Minutes” which bills itself as a “magazine” is the only exception.)

On Sarah Palin: If she were a guy or an ugly woman, the media would have admitted that she is qualified to be VP and would have fought her on other issues. Of course, she is qualified. For example, they tried to make her seem foolish and ill-informed on foreign policy issues. She not only is governor of one of the most energy rich states in the country, but she served on that state’s regulatory commission that oversees all matters relating to oil and gas production in Alaska. What is foreign policy nowadays? It is about the geopolitical issues relating to the production of oil and gas. She is an expert in that field. Joe Biden, on the other hand, has glad-handed more than she, but he is a deeply flawed and superficial person/leader with no expertise, but lots of opinions….It is understandable that media folks can’t tell the difference between reality and opinion, since they blur the distinction so often….

Sarah Palin suffered from character assassination because she is both pretty and smart. That made her vulnerable to the sexists (like those at MSNBC) who don’t believe a woman can have it all. Many of us do….And TV blowhards like those on MSNBC aren’t in any position to judge.

Oh that was funny! Ziegler made Shuster his bitch!
