cha-cha-cha-chaaaaaaange. change of fools?

The people wanted Change! Change! Change! It’s been a banner year for the Democrats! Change is a coming! But, looking back over the past year, I really have to ask, what kind of change did the people want? What kind of change did the voters think they were getting? And *change* from what, exactly?

What we have seen so far –

Journalists are being shut out by Obama. He preselects his favorites, at pressers, he gets irritated when asked tough questions, and is already feeling media fatigue.

Obama has no plans to prosecute the Bush administration, which many of those who voted for him want.

Obama has filled his new cabinet with people from the Clinton administration, and kept Robert Gates as Secretary of Defense (from the Bush administration).

Obama promised transparency, but has not followed through. He was not forthcoming and upfront with regard to the Blagojevich scandal (it took him weeks to disclose all contact with Blago, and even then, didn’t disclose everything), the Rezko scandal (it took him months to fully disclose the amount of money raised by Rezko).

Obama was not forthcoming in what he knew, and when he knew it wrt Wright, and his sermons. He was not forthcoming as to the extent of his relationship with Ayers.

Obama also refuses to release his donor list, even though there were numerous instances of fraudulent donations discovered. And with the numerous lawsuits surrounding his birth certificate and eligibility, he refuses to release his official birth certificate, and put the matter to rest. (I think he was born in Hawaii, and find all that natural born citizen stuff crazy, but don’t understand his refusal to release the document.)

Obama promised to close Gitmo within his first 100 days, then backpedaled. Now, he promises to sign an order, only to get his supporters off his back, but that does not mean it will close it immediately.

Obama promised to set an aggressive timeline to get out of Iraq, but now plans to stay the course, as set by Bush.

Obama has shown to be a typical politician who will say anything to anyone, to get elected. He told a Chicago gay and lesbian newspaper in ’96 he supports gay marriage. But, to win the Presidential race, and conservative African Americans/Hispanics, he flipped and changed position.

Obama promised to filibuster FISA, but when it came time to vote, he sided with Bush. He has flipped on guns, NAFTA, abortion, and more.

Barack Obama, continuing to shake up the establishment, selects as his running mate Joe Biden, a tireless fighter for change since he was first elected to the U.S. Senate in 1849.” (this is from a hilarious article by Dave Barry. Read it, if you missed it.)

We have a failure by the media to ask tough questions of Obama. (Like the MSM and their failure to question Bush prior to the Iraq war.) “Business & Media Institute’s Dan Gainor appeared on “Fox & Friends,” Jan. 12 to discuss why, with trillions of dollars, millions of jobs, and the future of our economic system on the line, the mainstream media won’t ask Obama tough questions on his stimulus plan. Given the media favoritism for Barack Obama during the campaign, Gainor said, “So, it’s no surprise that they’re not asking him tough questions [about the stimulus package].”

Call me crazy, but this sounds a lot like the criticisms that Bush received for 8 years. And on top of all that, there were a massive amount of scandals this year in the Democratic party. (some of these are summaries I pulled off newsbusters – they did a post on a CNN story, comparing Sarah Palin’s wardrobe-gate to the Dem scandals.)

~Rob Blagojevich (D-IL)- Caught in a criminal bribe taking pay-to-play scheme to sell Barack Obama’s senate seat to the highest bidder.

~John Edwards (D-NC)- Had an affair with an underling as his wife was dying of cancer, an affair he hid from public knowledge as he ran for president. Denied they had a child together.

~Kwame Kilpatrick (D-MI)- Sentenced to 4 months in jail for obstruction of justice for impeding a criminal investigation into his actions as Detroit’s mayor.

~Larry Langford (D-AL)- Birmingham, Alabama mayor arrested on charges of bribery, fraud, money laundering and filing a false income tax statement.

~Tim Mahoney (D-FL)- Replaced sex crazed Rep. Mark Foley in Florida while hiding his own extra-marital affairs from the voters, then lost his bid for reelection once the truth came out.

~Elliot Spitzer (D-NY)- Caught with a prostitute, lost his job as governor of New York.

~Mayor Gary Becker (D) of Racine, Wisconsin is “charged with attempted second-degree sexual assault of a child, child enticement, possession of child pornography, exposing a child to harmful materials, using a computer to facilitate a child sex crime and misconduct in public office.”

~Bill Richardson (D) – involved in a pay to play scandal, forced to withdraw from Obama appointment.

~Eric Holder – controversy over Marc Rich pardon resurfacing, while it might not threaten his appointment, it could cause some embarrassment to himself, and Obama.

~Timothy Geitner – man who would oversee the IRS, thinks paying taxes are too hard, and confusing. He failed to pay $42,000 in Social Security and Medicare taxes — and waited to pay more than half of that amount – $26,000 – only after Obama decided to nominate him. On top of that, one of Geithner’s household employees failed to renew her green card.

~Tony Rezko – convicted felon, closely tied to Obama and Blago.

~Carol Browner – a member of the Socialist group Commission for a Sustainable World Society (The group advocates global government and aggressive economic penalties on countries such as the U.S. to reduce global warming.), appointed as Global Warming Czar. Once appointed, her association to the group was scrubbed from their web site.

~Al Franken (D) – Tightly contested race with voter fraud allegations surfacing. Selected not elected. (and please, Franken? ewe)
franken4

~Rham Emanuel (D) – potential ties/mishandling of Blagojevich scandal. Could provide more embarrassing for Obama administration down the road.

~Mayor Sheila Dixon of Baltimore (D) – indicted Friday on 12 counts, including theft, perjury, fraud and misconduct in office after a nearly three-year probe by the state prosecutor’s office. She was accused, among other offenses, of stealing hundreds of dollars of gift cards donated by developer Ronald H. Lipscomb and another developer to be used for needy families.

So, again I ask. What kind of change were people hoping for? It seems people sure spent a lot of time pointing fingers, but they weren’t paying attention to what was going on in their own back yards.

***

And, as a side note, I have to ask, WTF?

It appears to me that some people just wanted Obama elected so they could sell a whole lotta tacky crap, and get rich, quick. *But that’s not all!*

Are you KIDDING me? Well, I guess he can’t play the *I don’t look like all those other presidents on those dollar bills* card anymore.

This was all clear from the beginning. I have felt that there is more that BO shares with Bush than differs between them. Aside from the obvious difference in party affiliation, they are alike in personality and style. They both are fundamentally insecure people who lack maturity and wisdom and who are uncomfortable with personal conflict and criticism. They both present a public persona that is not authentic. Neither is forth-coming about his background or qualifications. Both believes he is special and has an unassailable right to do as he pleases for his own personal reasons. Both make promises they don’t keep. Neither has respect for the law or our democratic government. Both are deeply indebted to big money and corporations, while claiming to have the middle-class’s interests at heart. BO and his buddies are every bit as corrupt, sneaky and self-absorbed as Bush/Cheney ever were. This is just more of the same. It is only now dressed up in a different party suit.

  • Ferd Berfle

The people wanted Change! Change! Change! It’s been a banner year for the Democrats! Change is a coming!

    Yeah, change is a-comin’ as:
    The economy is a-tankin’,
    Checks and balances are a-leavin’,
    The ME is a-burnin’, but

Here in the good, old US of A,
Idolatry takes on a new a-meanin’.

Drop everything you’re a-doin’ and go to DC to see the coronation of Obamacus Caesar, where you can be a-bowing to That One.

  • Ferd Berfle

You are spot on. In addition, That One is also owned by the same corporate interests as Bush. The looney left was thrown a few bones to get their needed support, bones which will buried by That One as he uses one tired excuse after another to justify his reneging on campaign promises.

He is actually worse than Bush in that Bush did exactly what he said he’d do, i.e., ruin the Federal government through fiscal mismanagement. That One comes in now to kill it off.

And the obamabots who brought us this carpet bagger are the same as the bushbots who came before them.

    Change, my ass.

  • CentralMass

The amount of money they are spending (while Rome burns to the ground in the background) to promote this guy is staggering.

  • Tess

Great post! Also, where di I come across Andy Martin, and ContrarianCommentary.com, i.e. was it here?
I’m greatly impressed w/Chicago writers I’m coming across, re Obama: John Kass, and now Andy Martin.
Now all I have to do is get through the Obama Hadj.

  • mountainaires

Very good summary of the change that’s coming! It will look suspiciously like the change we’ve had for the past 8 years!

The hoopla surrounding this inauguration is truly hysterical–and I do mean that literally. The media is in full hysterical mode, each trying to outdo the other on the HYSTORICAL MEANING OF THE INAUGURATION!!!!!!

[Full caps, bold, and misspelling, with exclamation points entirely intended to illustrate their hysteria about it all.]

Me? I turn off the tv, have blissful silence, read the news online, and look forward to the end of the hysteria, when the kool-aid addicts will be forced to go through a painful withdrawal, and reality bites.

  • Tess

I forgot to mention that Kass calls (the new) Sen Burris “Tombstone” because of the mausoleum he has already built for himself in an Illinois cemetery, listing all his accomplishments…more Chicago tax-based-theater.

  • Katmoon

Sorry, I accidently posted this on the open thread, and meant to place it here.

How can anyone, is this economy, justify spending this obscene amount of money for the inauguration? A person of real change would perhaps have considered the “historical” value of not being vulgar in trying to purchase history, on the backs of the citizens of this country. A real person of change may have chosen a route in history that proved their care for their fellow citizen by being different in leaving the pomp and circumstance to others, instead going for a more humble and respectful lead up and ceremony. That would be a cause for history to stop and take notice.

This is probably a low estimate for the cost of the inauguration : ~45 Million + 11.9 Grants for Security= 56 Million
Which could have been spent for the following:
Average cost of Health care: 7900 per person= Coverage for 7088 uninsured Americans
Average salary of a teacher 35,000 = Paid 1600 Salaries
Average salary of a soldier 20,750 = Paid 2698 salaries
Average tuition for public college 6500 = Paid tuition for 8615 Public college students.

Below are the National Poverty Guidelines

HHS Poverty Guidelines[17] which are illustrated in the table below.
Persons in Family Unit 48 Contiguous States and D.C. Alaska Hawaii
    1 $10,400 $13,000 $11,960
    2 $14,000 $17,500 $16,100
    3 $17,600 $22,000 $20,240
    4 $21,200 $26,500 $24,380
    5 $24,800 $31,000 $28,520
    6 $28,400 $35,500 $32,660
    7 $32,000 $40,000 $36,800
    8 $35,600 $44,500 $40,940
For each additional person, add $3,600 $4,500 $4,140

  • Doc99

Looks as if the honeymoon will soon be over, especially on the Left.

  • candymarl

Forget the homeless. Forget the vets. Forget those pesky wars with all of those dead people.

Banker bailouts? Obama’s all for them. But his supporters don’t have a problem with that.

Rick Warren? Obama’s all for him. But don’t worry there will be a gay pastor there somewhere.

Lines at the food banks? Who cares? Obama will produce the loaves and fishes. Change and Hope will feed you!

Shell Oil will be paying for the inauguration. But that’s fine. Big Oil is now our friend because Obama said so. Obama supporters have no problem with that.

It is amazing what people will believe. If I hear one more comparison of Obama to MLK I will scream. When has Obama ever put his career or life on the line for anyone? Bueller? Anyone?

    But change is a comin’!

  • wodiej

It isn’t change when the economy is in the shithole and millions are being spent on BO’s inauguration. It’s nothing short of selfish, self absorbed, lack of concern for the American people. The sheer enormity of people, media, leaders and voters who are falling over themselves has reached a new low.

I won’t watch the inauguration, commercials, specials, newspapers or anything else pertaining to BO. Nothing. It’s a disgrace that people have such low expectations for their leaders. But then when you don’t have very high ones for yourself, I guess that’s what you have to look up to.

  • Katmoon

Great comment wodie, I concur, wholeheartedly.

I won’t watch the inauguration, commercials, specials, newspapers or anything else pertaining to BO. Nothing. It’s a disgrace that people have such low expectations for their leaders. But then when you don’t have very high ones for yourself, I guess that’s what you have to look up to.

Bravo, wodiej. Those are my sentiments, very eloquently put.

The American Idol Idle generation has brought us this charlatan.

  • Ferd Berfle

Indeed. This smacks of over-indulgent excess, self-absorbed me-ism, and sheer gall. I suppose I’ll have to learn to eat cake.

  • Ferd Berfle

Strike over-indulgent excess and change to wretched excess.

  • graceinpa

My family thinks I am crazy when I compare Obama to Bush. The similarities are so obvious to me, I can’t understand why all thinking people don’t see it. I aree that his ties to big money and Chicago corruption were big reasons I could not, as a lifetime Democrat support him. He is the biggest fraud ever perpetrated on the American people. We never learn, do we? To think that the founding fathers wrote the electoral college into the constituion to prevent such a thing from happening and then to have it work exactly the opposite of what they envisioned, is irony to say the least. What a country!

  • basil

    OMG!!!!!

Bradzilla said for the first time an AFRICAN will be in charge of the most powerful country in the world!

Bradzilla just concurred with Peggy Joseph and actually SAID it doesn’t matter what he says, all that matters is for people around the world to see his picture.

His picture is ALL that’s needed! He doesn’t have to say anything!

This is creeping me out as the comparisons between BO and the FUHRER become more clear.

And having 11% of the population controlling the other 90% is scaring the cr@p outta me!

  • Sassy

A very good compilation American Girl!
Those of us here see them, but 80% of the American people approve of BO, as of yesterday.
    Stunning!
I sense that the fear and uncertainty are so great that people are grabbing onto anything and anyone.

  • Dormaphaea

I want to go to sleep and wake up next weekend when it’s all over. I’m surprised that the post office will be delivering on Tuesday. After all, they took a holiday for Reagan’s funeral. Seems to me, well, they’d close up shop for this too (although it always seems as if no ones working anyway, even when the doors are open.)

There really aren’t words to describe my disgust at this display.

  • basil

    Oh sh!t!

This ‘not speaking a word’ but showing a
powerful image’ just got picked up by John King on CNN!

is this the new talking point??????

    We are soooooooooo screwed!

  • basil

“This is not a train. It’s a symbol with wheels.”

Candy Crawley on the Thomas choo-choo.

Yup. The branding kicks int high gear.

  • wodiej

I agree and it’s ridiculous. I think the Democratic party are purposely inciting panic to create support where there otherwise would not be as much. The fact that Bush did poorly is what they worked from and went from there. Pretty pitiful really.

In the end, the good guys win. It may not look like it now, but they do. It will be up to the 1% of the sane, rational people to put the pieces back together.

  • HARP

Today he is laying a wreath in Arlington……gag.

I`m waiting to see if he salutes the Marine before boarding Marine one. Hope he uses the correct hand or will he just form the “O”.

  • DawnellesUPSIDEDOWNworld

we’re headed up to the BR parkway (a few miles away)
and will probably drive for hours the afternoon of the 20th

for sure won’t turn on the TV for more than a second

They are over selling it on every channel it seems and selling more paraphen….? STUFF, lol, coins, plates, etc than I ever remember them doing for W

of course we had change the names of at least 2 food groups associated with W

freedom (stupid) fries and (#2 just flew out of my head)

anyway W made the minivan magnetic ribbon company soooooooo much money with Iraq

STILL puzzled how Americans will KEEP voting for the LEAST qualified candidate (or be LED there by the media) like sheeple 4 real

disgusting, sad, gross, pathetic, pitiful and a dozen others I could name but won’t cuz I’m SICKKKK.

blech – I’m all for more requirements for people to vote!
no dumb-butts who’ve never voted in their lives come out of the woodwork should be given a test!

  • basil

    Harp,

    Saw that.

That’s where John King said it’s sometimes more important to “not speak a word but show a powerful image.”

Looks like the justification of BO is full steam ahead. All morning the TH’s were toeing the same line that he’s a ‘symbol’ as though somehow that relieves him of the responsibility of actually accomplishing anything.

    BARF!

  • DawnellesUPSIDEDOWNworld

    VULGAR

    GREAT word for BARRY SORE-TOES
    and his WHOLE CABAL!!

MOST Of those that voted for him are VULGAR as well!

(and I’m not talking about cussing)

that would be crude and I have been known to go there.

    LOL

  • donjo

He’s a symbol, all right. A symbol of how corruption is now “de regueur” in America. It’s now officially all right to lie, cheat, and steal your way to prosperity. The repub neo-cons did it; the dems are well on their way to outdoing even those morons.

It’s now possible to fully understand how the people of Germany were led by their collective noses by a demented leader. The same thing is happening here; you control the media and put on a good show and you control the population.

  • basil

    Donjo,
    Agreed.

I’m still in shock that Bradzilla said the importance of BO is that he’s an AFRICAN controlling the most powerful counyry in the world.

She didn’t even bother to say AMERUCAN!

I will look for that clip later today. It was on This Week with GS.

  • I’m a Linda too

    PRICELESS! RIGHT ON AIG

    Thank you.

I think Pat needs to create a DUMPSTER for all the Campaign promises Obama has already thrown out of his Hopey Changey Choo Choo. See, he needed to dump the BUS, because it was becoming synonymous with all he was tossing out. Now you all are supposed to think of his Choo Choo chugging along tracks.

So, now looking at freezing/cutting SS and Medicare. Where are those no taxes for all Seniors making 50K or less? Guantanamo, Iraq, oh, the list is too great for mere mortal to type here. :)

AND, don’t forget our Ohio Democrats involved in illegally accessing Joe Wurzelbacher’s records and leaking to the press for Obama. That gem of a woman who was an Obama promoter that was put on forced leave and then resigned.

Bradzilla said for the first time an AFRICAN will be in charge of the most powerful country in the world!

How can he be African if he was born to a white woman in Hawaii? Perhaps because he wasn’t born in HI? They need to get their spin straight. The double- and triple-speak coming from these four-flushers is breathtaking in its sheer unmitigated gall.

  • Katmoon

Stay classy there HC; and perhaps work at not being so predictable, as you no longer are entertaining, only mildly annoying, like a diarrhea cramp .

  • NYC

That’s the kind of trash we will have to live with for the next 4 years… really disgraceful! Who the heck these people think they are or have accomplished???!!! This situation is just h-o-r-r-e-n-d-o-u-s!!!

To sound? Maybe now. Let’s see how they will behave afterwards. Powerful image, indeed. Is this how pedestrian Anerica has become? The raising of the flag at Iwo Jima was powerful; the image of Neil Armstrong planting his foot on the lunar surface was powerful; the Image of the WTC collapsing was powerful.

References to powerful and That One in the same paragraph, much less sentence, is hyperbole and histrionics. Pandering is a better word–a pandering image.

This is the first time I’m ever keenly aware of a criminal liar before the ascent to the WH dome.
The 68′ers now officialy own the USA – the establishment they swore they hated and reviled, they have now embraced in complete and utter corruption.
We’ll see what happens, but it sure looks like unholy omen inspired parody has reached it peak, and the only way forward is down.
You might really dislike tight, rulebound, stiff collared conservo law thumpers, but from what I’ve seen of this O crew, they just blow the law off front and center, even announcing it publicly as if they are doing us all some favor. That tells me exactly where their mind is, and exactly what they are really capable of – especially when noone is looking.
Glad they got slapped hard right in their lying puss this last time concerning the senatorial appt. – because if that crime of theirs would have flown, that would have indicated it’s totally goners.

We created some change – albeit small. We ripped up the USA magazine that comes in our Sunday newspaper and ceremoniously threw it in the trash because it was selling the Ofraudmas as the happy American family. That will be the extent of our participation in the so called historical inauguration.

    It was pure pleasure.

  • oowawa

This is where we get into the realm of divine matters beyond the understanding of mortal man. It’s admirable just to take the leap of faith and trust The One’s strong hand will catch us and lift us up before we fall into the fire.

The double- and triple-speak coming from these four-flushers is breathtaking in its sheer unmitigated gall.

  • Ferd Berfle

Well, the obamatrons were never proud of this country either, so I’d answer your question in the affirmative. Perhaps the extra 30,000 troops for Afghanistan could be drawn from the ranks of the obamabots so they could get an idea of how lucky they were to be born here. On second thought, that would be a bad idea–the only thing an obamabot could do would be to pontificate at them. Hopey-changey, feel-good hogwash, while working on the wishy-washy of spirit here, would fail miserably there.

  • Ferd Berfle

I can’t stand it anymore. A totally inappropriate, unqualified, criminal and fraud is just waltzing into the White House with no one asking any questions. I wish I could go to sleep for a week too. It’s horrifying to be assaulted with these parties and nonsense when this country is in such trouble. The only good news is that pretty soon the creep is going to have to actually do some work, as much as he hates that word. And he hates America. We’re SO doomed. And I agree with the poster above who thinks from now on no one votes unless they have some sort of idea what the hell they are doing. This is a sham, the coffin nail of America, and anyone who doesn’t think so isn’t paying attention.

Amen to that. I remember the obamabots who thought Sarah Palin would make a good Vice President (only because they were told she was running with That One). There should be some sort of testing required prior to voting.

If you can’t at least name the candidates and their running mates or if you think the government should pay your mortgage and make your car payments, you have no business voting–ever.

Anyone else remember how friggin confident Bo has always been as far back as February, like he KNEW beyond a shadow of a doubt he would be 44?

  • Ted

The question is not IF there will be an interdiction of Obama’s Presidency by the Supreme Court, the questions are WHEN and HOW that interdiction will transpire — that is, if the USA is to continue as the Constitutional Republic that now exists

  • LAUREN

The “CHANGE” was having a half black man as president. I think that’s about the only change we are going to see in this administration.

There is also a delegation from Africa to do the singing and dancing for The Savour.

So is this supposed to mean that we should aspire to be like sub-saharan Africa?

  • Strawberrybitch

    Quit teasing.

  • Strawberrybitch

I was being cheeky, by the by. PS Is there anyway to disable that friggin’ annoying infomercial. It starts up everytime I post.

  • Soldier of Christ

I didn’t vote for him- I knew all the above before I went into the voting booth, children. Good article@

If Obama turns out to be lazy, without any clear program or plans, it will only permit the more energetic secretaries in his cabinet a free hand to make their own policy. Without followers that accept the president’s leadership because they recognize his dedication, loyalty and intellectual superiority…well, it feels so good that someone has finally stated the obvious — that does leave it as a symbol.

As one should before the King. Reminds me of Yertle the Turtle. He got to the top of the heap by standing on every other turtle’s back until they fell over, with Yertle taking the greatest fall of all.

They share more than they differ, Georgie and Barry! I was over at PHILIP BERG’S ‘OBAMA’S CRIMES’ website and he’s preparing another lawsuit by a retired coloner claiming Hussein is not qualified to be President as the certification and not birth certificate is made availabled only. The National Press Club video on

    Berg’s

    “Obama Crimes” website was informative….
    Let’s wish him good luck!

    thank you, American Girl!

Barry Hussein sure gets “testy” talking to reporters he doesn’t recognize nor like! The jerk gets really irritated! It’s great fun to watch this Empty Suit’s facial expressions of disgust, irritation and ready-to-pounce on reporters’ questions. He’s gonna have problems with the journalist boys.

I do what MOUNTAINAIRESS does. I read my news online, first of all No Quarter! Also I go to
FOREIGN POST’S MADAM SECRETARY Blog that obsesses about Hillary and Hillary’s Village….That BEJING speech in ’95 is priceless….so glad Hillary’s in there! She’ll do wonders with women’s enslavement and discrimination abroad….Barbara Boxer, during fconfirmation, helped launch some pretty interesting initiatives on the new Women’s Freedom commission and Hillary’s Vital commission that Barbara Bush is also involved in. If anyone can find the end to the Palestinian Israel conflict–it’s MADAM SECRETARY, not that Empty Suit Perv-Elect who called his Indian roommate back in ’81 (when they set off for Hussein’s Foreign Relations Experience Tour in Pakistan) “well hung”. Wish he had been honest and told MICHELLE he was bisexual….

Eliminate CAUCUSES. No chance of Obama-like cheating and ressurecting dead black voters as in Iowa transporting them by the dozens by bus! That’s why the COMMUNITY ORGANIZER from Chicago got the upper hand on fraudstering and getting the NOmination….shameful

I’ll be BOycotting this celebration of corruption, too. I’m so discusted with the whole farce, I think I’m getting an ulcer and I’m uninsured!!!

Compare Obama’s coronation with Napoleon Bonaparte’s wherein NP takes the crown from the Pope and crowns himself. Hasn’t Obama been coronating himself since he began is campaign for the presidency? In fact, one of Obama’s many past lives is Napoleon Bonaporte, I believe.

Here’s the link to Jean-Jacques David’s “The Coronation of Emperor Napoleon Bonapart” (1804), but you have to bypass the portraits of NP and scroll down to the third painting. (You may find a bigger image by googling the painting.)

Wishing I had Photoshop technical skills!

This inauguration is really one long bad infomercial for The One.

His presidency is only worth $19.95, but unfortunately for this country the real price tag is in the trillions.

  • http://www.georgianindex.net/Napoleon/coronation/coronation.html trixta

The question is, will BO levitate from the podium after giving his speech on Tuesday (you know that tired recycled 2004 speech)?

STFU, imposter HC troll! Your inflatable Obama doll is calling. [We know you've hijacked the real HC's name here.]

    Mary,

Don’t hold your breath. If nothing comes of the SCOTUS conference that was supposed to have been held on Friday, Jan 16, 2009, I, for one will lose all faith in any body of authority in this country. I have gone from lawsuit to lawsuit hoping and believing that the Supremes would wake up and do the right thing, but if we get no good news about Friday’s conference I will know that the blood shed by our forefathers was shed in vain.

Funny post…. you just about cover all the conspiracies and big issues of the day. You should include the Whitey Tapes in your list as well.

Your analysis is so very important. You cover all the important issues faced by the nation right now.

And your list really paints a picture that makes the Democrats look just like the Republicans over the last 8 years. All these big important issues you point out are just so comparable to what this country has been through in the last 8 years.

Great stuff, continue on with your great indepth lists/analysis. Best political website on the Internet!

name one thing on there that is a conspiracy theory. You don’t consider issues such as Iraq, Gitmo, fraud, hypocrisy, bribery, lack of transparency, lying… to be important issues? (obviously not…)

  • Tess

It seems a if the O has the capacity and talent (and a mind-reading frat-boy speechwriter) to inspire. I don’t see that the same as leading a/o governing. I think he’ll spend a lot of time on the road doing theatricals and treacle. So it looks to me as if he’ll need a Cheney. Who’s it gonna be?
Don’t bother mentining Joe. I can’t see Pelosi. Or Reid.

What we have seen so far -

Journalists are being shut out by Obama. He preselects his favorites, at pressers, he gets irritated when asked tough questions, and is already feeling media fatigue.

And you know about his “media fatigue” from Fox News? How else? Your first bit of conspiravy theory. Spread the meme, you are looking tired.

Obama has no plans to prosecute the Bush administration, which many of those who voted for him want.
He has never said he would. Many would like to see him prosecuted, but under what Court? The US does not recognise the ICC which is the only real place r War Crimes. There is also the issue of how such a prosecution would be seen. It would be tit for tat and seen as a Democratic response to Clinton.

Obama has filled his new cabinet with people from the Clinton administration, and kept Robert Gates as Secretary of Defense (from the Bush administration).
Explain how using experienced Department Secretaries is bad?

Obama promised transparency, but has not followed through. He was not forthcoming and upfront with regard to the Blagojevich scandal (it took him weeks to disclose all contact with Blago, and even then, didn’t disclose everything),
His own internal investigation were carried out in full consultation with the Police, who also advised on how much they wanted released. No other Serious Politician has done this.

the Rezko scandal (it took him months to fully disclose the amount of money raised by Rezko).
But all money was disclosed. How much did Haliburton gain from Bush Cheyney?

Obama was not forthcoming in what he knew, and when he knew it wrt Wright, and his sermons. He was not forthcoming as to the extent of his relationship with Ayers.
He was very forthcoming. I think that those who call themselves Democrats and who have enjoyed dancing on artificial hatred inspired against Wright should be ashamed of themselves. Wright was a highly commended American Hero.

Obama also refuses to release his donor list, even though there were numerous instances of fraudulent donations discovered.
How can they be “discovered” if not released?

And with the numerous lawsuits surrounding his birth certificate and eligibility, he refuses to release his official birth certificate, and put the matter to rest. (I think he was born in Hawaii, and find all that natural born citizen stuff crazy, but don’t understand his refusal to release the document.)
Again this is released and this birth cert stuff is one of the shames of this website and other related ones. Did people demand to see the birth cert of Palin?

Obama promised to close Gitmo within his first 100 days, then backpedaled. Now, he promises to sign an order, only to get his supporters off his back, but that does not mean it will close it immediately.
It is closing and it should always be considered a blot on the history of America.

Obama promised to set an aggressive timeline to get out of Iraq, but now plans to stay the course, as set by Bush.
He is getting out of Iraq. At least the US will not be there for 100 years.

Obama has shown to be a typical politician who will say anything to anyone, to get elected. He told a Chicago gay and lesbian newspaper in ‘96 he supports gay marriage. But, to win the Presidential race, and conservative African Americans/Hispanics, he flipped and changed position.
It is still the most gay friendly administration ever and the Democratic platform remains in favour of civil unions, if not marriage.

Obama promised to filibuster FISA, but when it came time to vote, he sided with Bush. He has flipped on guns, NAFTA, abortion, and more.
He is still not President yet.
    …..
    Call me crazy
    Crazy
