A Letter from Hillary * Open Thread

Dear Susan,

This is not a goodbye, because we’re all embarking on a new American journey.

With our nation moving in an exciting new direction, you and I and all Americans are going to be a key part of the change that is coming. I couldn’t be more hopeful about meeting the challenges and seizing the opportunities that lie ahead.

But I want to take just one moment to look back at the incredible experiences you and I shared over the last two years. From the moment we launched our historic campaign back in January 2007, I was deeply moved by the amount of support you showed me.

We spent 17 months in a hard-fought campaign making sure that every American had a chance to make their voice heard. We made history by putting 18 million cracks in the very highest glass ceiling.

And when that campaign came to an end, we kept working and fighting, putting our hearts into making history again by helping to put Barack Obama and Joe Biden in the White House.

I’m so proud of all we accomplished, but most of all, I’m proud to call you my friend. Your devotion to making our country and our world a better place has been a constant source of inspiration to me.

In our most difficult moments, it was you who kept our efforts moving forward. In our happiest moments, you and I celebrated together. Together we walked this amazing journey one step at a time and I couldn’t have done without you.

And as I take the first step on the next path in our journey, I know you’ll be right there with me, as always, in my heart and by my side.

Thank you, God bless you, and may God bless America.

Sincerely,

Hillary

    Aww…Hillary… :-(

I am watching this documentary right now on YouTube about the occult practices of the Nazis. It is really chilling. I had no idea they actually believed that the Aryan race was from Atlantis. They also used young girls as breeders for the sole purpose of birthing Aryan babies.

I highly recommend watching this. What went on in Germany was so insane…I can’t say it makes me feel better about Obama…it does not…but I can see how fragile people are and how they can be brainwashed into anything with enough propaganda:

Ooh, they referred to Hitler as a messiah too. This is creeping me out!

        - 孔夫子 Kǒng Fūzǐ (aka Confucius)

During the European Depression, it didn’t take much for people to want a messiah. And the pattern has roots way beyond the Austrian freak, Hitler.

I predicted the History Channel would replay some of their Hitler shows starting this week. Yes, the similarity between BO & Hitler is creepy.

Let’s hope the History Channel does so. History does tend to repeat itself.

In Part 4…they show clips of the Hitler Youth, singing songs to Hitler:

“Adolf Hitler is our savior, our hero.
He is the noblest being in the whole wide world.
      For Hitler we live,
      For Hitler we die.
      Our Hitler is our Lord.”

At least we have one thing that the Jews in Nazi Germany did not have – we have the Internet. We can counter the propaganda. (This is why China clamps down on the Internet so much.)

          • socalannie

Good point! Unless Donna Brazilla gets her way & clamps down on us!

Mussolini’s Brown Shirts, his followers, were comprised mainly of young men who were proselytized by Fascist dogma to no end. This is exactly what Obama’s girls and boys are doing. Or should say what’s being done to them by the Obama magic of Fascism! Scary, but that’s exactly how Mussolini’s Fascist Brown Shirts started!…

So many of the leaders of the Third Reich were apparently sane. They thought they were reincarnations of past kings or descendants of Thor.

They co-opted a lot of Christian and Pagan ritual to create a new Nazi religion.

If we start seeing Obama Churches crop up, we’ll know we’re in some real trouble…

        I meant – apparently INsane.

    • noname

Ladies and gentlemen : this is a slanderous propaganda video.

These ideas have wrecked hovoc in India since late 19th century. The socialists and and unfortunately the church are major user of this idea called Aryan invasion.

The Nazis are very much historical idea without any “occult” stuff. India was colonized, improvised at that time with famines killing half of the population of some districts. Its own society was crumbling in early 20th century, it had no voice at that point of history to create massive theoretical influence.

According to this idea, The British colonization was the second wave of Aryans who will kind of liberate India, the Indian priests were Aryans who colonized India before. This gave acceptability to British in many places as liberators, and devided Indians on racial politics making it easy for the colonial govt.

We have dominant racial parties in India today, who rule states. Those parties have all the contempt for “occult” or anything that has to do with hinduism, they view it as imported from Germany which colonized them.

This racial idea is not from “occult”. However Many of Obama’s supporters ( Not deepak Chopra) in Harvard and Chicago divinity school use these racial ideas to describe hindus. Hindus oppose it .

      • http://www.hillaryorbust.com Hillary or Bust

I think you must be talking about the brief mention of Hinduism in the film. (Though, I’ve only watched 2/3rds of it – I needed a break!)

I did not get a bad impression of Hinduism from this. It seemed from the film the Nazis used a hodge podge of ideas, many coming from Nordic pagan traditions.

        • noname

          Hi Hillary Or Bust :

Thanks for your kind response. As absurd it may sound to somebody in USA, This arrival of aryans was a highly contentious issues in India between 2001-2003, it still is a contentious issue of Indian history!! I am guilty of being hypersensitive sensitive to this aryan stuff because of this reason.

          http://www.amazon.co.uk/Aryan-Idols-Indo-European-Mythology-Ideology/dp/0226028607

The above is a descriptive book on development of aryan word in racial politics.

      • noname

The Aryan was developed in Europe by European scholars. Particularly famous one in linking up India was a guy called Max Mueller. Max Mueller himself is accused by many of plotting to “uproot” hindusim – thats what he wrote in a letter to his wife. Many say Max Mueller has had immense contribution. Here is summary :

1- MaxMueller was one of the foremost in Aryan theories and he had read Indian history. scriptures.
2- He himself was arguing to convert the some famous personalities of that time.

Thus he was not practicing anything “occult”.

Another of the famous authors was looking for helenic civilization, she was born in europe, at some point he married to an Indian and took an Indian name. But for her, these hindu practices were inferior stuff and kind of needed for controlling the aryans, this lady considered hitler’s places as pilgrimage places.

From a distant, it may be tantalizing conclusion, but closer look would reveal that these had nothing to do with “occult” or absurdity.

  • AMERICA R.I.P.

So, I guess I’m supposed to thank Hillary for getting Obama elected? Not in this lifetime.

    • HARP

Not in the next one either.

    • Judy L. NC

      Hillary who?

      • mary

        Judy L

HILLARY DIANE RODHAM Clinton, I believe is now, thankfully, the new Secretary of State. I am sure she told Obama that having won over 18 million and more votes than Himself, she deserved a post where she could put in her experience and passion in the area. I do think that this should bring some joy to every woman and girl–not just Hillary supporters.

Nicholas KRISTOF of the N.Y. Times has written weekly stories on the ENSLAVEMENT of girls and women in Asia/Africa and it is incredible the abuse these girls, often prostituted by their relatives, suffer. Hillary as far back as l995 when she confronted her Chinese hosts in Bejing, was devoted to improving the horrible prejudice, discrimination and SLAVERY (yes, numerically, more women are enslaved in 3rd world than were the Africans transported to the plantations) afflicting these poor girls and women.
Be sure that Hillary ain’t gonna sit on her hands on this and that is precissely why we should be all shouting out for her to succeed. ODrama had really no choice but to appoint her to SOS. The anorexic resume and supersexist jerk couldn’t do otherwise!

Hussein did, ironically, enough damage to Kenyan girls and women by supporting his cousin Islamist fanatic Odinga whose fans went on rampage and caused hudnreds of rapes and rigged (what else?) the elections there. As result there’s over 200,00 women without homes in Kenya! Thanks to Barrky Hussein!…

    • wodiej

I second all of the above comments….

  • Texas Playwright

I agree with Hillary on her amazing journey with us, the 18 million. I disagree with putting bho the fraud and Credit Card Joe anywhere near the WH.

Hillary is a Democrat loyalist. I am an American who has often voted Democrat. HUGE difference.

Differences aside, Hillary is a class act all the way.

    • BARB

I really believed Hillary when she said she was their to fight to the finish. She lied. She did help BO get elected…made an estimated 78 campaign stops and raised over 5 million for him…as well as doing everything she could to convince her 18 million supporters to vote for the person who was the head of a campaign that practiced sexism and racism against her. I heard not a peep from her when the Obama team along with Howard D., Harry and Donna and Nancy P. actually had the nerve to take delegates away from her and give them to Obama. Thanks to Hillary and $680 – 700 million dollars…we have the least experienced and probably the most dishonest president in the history of this country. Now she will be a mouthpiece for Obama. I ALMOST GAVE THE MAX CONTRIBUTION TO HER CAMPAIGN. I WANT MY MONEY BACK!!!!!

  • jeleanoro

Hillary didn’t GET obama elected…she was smart enough to recognise the writing on the wall, stop fighting a losing battle( the fix was in )and survive to fight another day! You GO Hillary…I mean Madame Secretary of State, she’s still working for us…heaven forbid, it could have been Kerry!

    • AMERICA R.I.P.

If my best friend was about to drink poison, I would stop her. Not help her swallow it. Enough said.

    • socalannie

I think you have a good point. The fix was definitely in. I still don’t like O, & will enjoy making fun of his goofups, but am moving on mentally from the disappointment. After the past 12 months, I realize the dems are as crooked as the repubs & there are just a few worthy politicians mixed in with the lot.

I was wondering, if Kerry had supported Hil, if she might not have given him SOS. He didn’t seem to get much from O.

    • mary

      jelenor

Yes! YOU GO GIRL! AS SECRETARY OF STATE, THE WORLD’S ENSLAVED GIRLS AND WOMEN WILL HAVE SOME….REAL HOPE! AT LAST! MUCH BETTER TO HAVE HILARY IN SOS AND NOT BE BLAMED FOR ALL POLITICAL CRAP ON ITS WAY….HILLARY DIANE RODHAM WILL BE THE BRIGHT BEACON FOR GIRLS EVERYWHERE. END THE SLAVERY OF WOMEN NOW!

P.s. There are more women in prostitution and enslavement now in the 3rd world (200,000 in US) than the number of slaves from Africa transported to the colony’s plantations then…

    • http://noquarter foxyladi14

      AMEN…RISE HILLARY RISE…..

  • Cathy in Ks.

It saddens me to think that such a brilliant, articulate woman who had so much to offer was passed over by the democratic party establishment for a man who had so little to offer.

But that being said, I think Hillary is not just a “party loyalist”, she is a true public servant who although she was crucified by the MSM and left to “hang out and dry” by some of her so-called political friends has like the legendary phoenix risen from the ashes.

I don’t think our country was ready yet for a woman as president. Sexism and misogyny are so rampant in this country that many people cannot literally see the “forest because of the trees”. I think Hillary will restore our tarnished image abroad and will raise global consciousness regarding the rights of women and children.

    • NoBamaNoWay

i think you’re right. america is simply not ready for a woman president. we think we’re on the cutting edge of everything, but when it comes to respect for women, we lag far behind many other countries.

      • Ferd Berfle

I have mixed feelings about all this. On the one hand, a woman president is long overdue (as is a black president). On the other, competency trumps equal opportunity, as it were. I was and remain a staunch HRC supporter primarily because of her competence but secondarily because I wanted a woman president.

She got my vote in the primaries.

With Obama, there was never an issue for me except his lack of qualifications (competence), candor, and transparency. Again, competency was the deciding issue for me. A black president would be a good thing. Obama, though, is not qualified and therefore not competent.(This is the same reason I did not vote for Bush in ’00 or ’04.)

McCain got my vote in the GE.

Frankly, all things being equal, I do not care about the sex, color, age, sexual preference, or religion of a candidate. The only criterion is competency.

        • Diana L. C.

Absolutely–competence, knowledge, ideas, real concern for the people of the country.

I am saddest actually for the AAs since they want an AA President so much and think they now have one. O’s experience growing up is NOT AA in anyway like what most AAs have. He is NOT competent, has little knowledge, only stolen ideas, and especially no concern for the American people.

As all this becomes clear, AAs will realize that they helped give the first “AA” presidency to a phony. If Hillary had been the first woman President, she would not have been a phony. It’s a wasted opportunity for AAs and for women.

I am still in total disbelieve at the lack of insight of the American people.

I am still not sure how I feel about Hillary’s working for O’s administration. Maybe she is a better person than I, but I know I couldn’t have done it. It would be too bitter a pill to swallow.

          • Kal

Good points. I am still trying to get my head around the contradiction between BO claiming to be most qualified, period, versus the fact that ever since he stole the nomination from Hillary, the first and most important thing that has been said about him is that he is the first Black president. Highly reductionist, among other things.

This isn’t very scientific, but I guess I have come to realize, through all this last 14 months, that the US has a huge guilty conscience over its racist history and present racism, and has, as a kind of opiate, embraced the idea of ‘the first Black president’ as a way to kill the pain. Whether real change in race relations will result from this, I don’t know, let’s hope so, but, I do see this as a giant guilty-conscience movement.

Now, if there is anything to this, I am left asking, what will it take to elect the first woman president? I’m not aware of much of a sense of guilt about the oppressed and exploited status of women in the US (or much of anywhere, for that matter), nor even much awareness that the status of women could be described in those terms. So I’m not counting on a guilty-conscience movement further down the road to bring a woman to the presidency, and see that the risk an unquestionably qualified woman faces is of more misogyny. Is there any woman in the US who could overcome the huge store of misogyny that we saw unleashed during the last year?

So its back to feminism, again. And the hope that all the race guilt awash in the land does not completely erase the few pathetic gains US women have made, as compared with women in other countries.

            PUMA!!!

            Go Hillary!!!

            • karen

              Kal,
I think you expressed it all extremely well. It is mind boggling to me how acceptable sexism is in our media, government, social structure and so pervasive still in our younger generation. I wish someone could explain to me why so many women turned their backs on Hillary. I would feel a lot better if I felt that BO was a really stalwart competitor to her but he is just so lightweight.I know woman have come a really long way but it is discouraging to see how far we still have to go.

        • wodiej

          I’m with ya on that.

    • brodie

I’ve said for years & years that we would have a black male president way before we would ever have a woman. People used to laugh at me & think I was bitter or naive- turns out I was right. The unfortunate part of my prediction is that it will be a very long time before we have another chance, too. Thanks so much, stupid boys’ club. And no- I WON’T be watching the hoo-hah today or tomorrow. I can only take so much- and I’m done with all of it.

      Cathy in Kas.

Wonderful sentiments! And right on-target as they related to Madam Secretary! Thanks….

i know this is not anopen thread but i just want to sak something. i just finishedwatching the “we are one” concert and nowhere did i see bishop gene robinson’s invocation and at the end when they showed all the participating artists and speakers they only showed his shoulder.

    i read this on talkleft:
    too bad (none / 0) (#90)
by TimNCGuy on Sun Jan 18, 2009 at 10:32:35 PM EST

not a single media outlet, including HBO, bothered to show Bishop Robinson’s prayer today. In fact, even those who attended in person didn’t get to hear Robinson as the speakers were turned OFF right before his prayer and back ON right after.

does anyone know why hbo did not show the invocation. that was supposed to be the “bone” thrown to us gays after the selection of rick warren for the real inauguration invocation.

    • socalannie

How bizarre (about the prayer/invoc). Why would they do that?

By the way, this is an open thread.

      • Ani

I watched the concert and was looking for Robinson, too. Why did Obama not show it — well you get one guess, ladies and gents. The homophobe is not changing his spots.

This is really a disgrace and I wonder how the GLBT community will justify him now. Did they move him, or remove him from being seen altogether?

        • NoBamaNoWay

surprise, surprise. the bus backs up and runs over the gays again… and again. betcha they’ll still be singing his praises and voting for him en masse 4 years from now. (btw, i’m gay). from BO’s perspective it’s a no-brainer; gays gave him a blank check in the election, and now all he has to do is work on picking up a few extra votes from the gay-haters next time around.

          • avwrobel

This is just straight up political calculus. Obambi knows the gays have no choice but the Dems, so he can completely ignore them without any fear.

    • http://www.hillaryorbust.com Hillary or Bust

It was actually called the “We Are One” concert? Creepy!!!!

      • Ferd Berfle

That “We Are One” crap refers to the Royal We–the two faces and many personalities of That One.

We Are One and I Am Repulsed.

    • truthtelling007

hmm…good point. I watched FoxNews talk about having an ‘openly gay bishop’ involved in the inauguration but it was an article about it based on Rick Warren’s participation. I’m curious to see who, if anyone did cover Bishop Robinson’s prayer. But by my video accounts, nobody did.

I don’t have HBO, so I don’t know why they didn’t. But C-Span, CNN and MSNBC have made a big deal about their ‘inauguration coverage’.

Thanks for bringing this to the forefront.

    • UKforDems

Dunno – but youtube has it.

Obama purposefully snubbed Bishop. Robinson, whose support he’ll need one of these days for sure. Why? He’s a raving Misogynistic Homophobe–even though he’s truly closeted, as are his school and health records!
Obama hides his insecurities and deep confusion about his own identity unde camouflage of “bipartisanship” and “unity” and kumbaya “hope”…He really is running from himself…to hide in the White house, alas!

  • drmilak

i don’t know, i actually saw the whole thing and then went back from the beginning and fastforwarded thinking i must have missed gene robinson’s invocation somehow. it just wasn’t there. all i saw was the bishop’s shoulder at the end, in the line up before the credits rolled.

    how bizarre!

This all seems like a scene from The Body Snatchers. Hillary stands there with a blank expression, staring forward with that vacuous grin, eyes wide open. We’re about to embark on a marvelous journey, she says. Please join us. Well, NO, THANKS!

    • mary

      Robert baby!

Really? You see Hillary with “vacuous grin” asking you to join? Don’t think so.She wouldn’t be interested in your “yes” anyway! Sounds like you missed Chenney already…ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ah

What do I know about the power of women. I know that I have the best plant manager in my industry. Enough to protect me in this downturn..
I’m impressed with strong leaders especially women leaders. This world could use more of them
Hillary will be an awesome President someday. For now she gets to surprise the naysayers with her sharp wit and eloquence. I look forward to her on the world stage.
There is another woman that I’m impressed with.
Julia Tymoshenko the prime minister of Ukraine. Julia just made a deal with Putin and Medvedev on the gas supplies.
How can Russia not deal with a woman like this. I’m sure the leaders of Russia were speechless and mesmerized by this phenomenal woman.

    • Gary McGowan

I like her, I must say as preface to this comment. I wish the English at her website were a little less “broken” so that I could better appreciate her thoughts and words.

But the reason for this comment is to caution people that the Ukrainian Prime Minister (and their whole government) is in the middle of a very serious game, the bottom line of which is to undermine the U.S.-Russian relationship, as well as getting Dick Cheney’s pals control over that oil and gas flow. The Russians are again and again written up in the Western Cartel press as being the bad guys — when in fact they are not and are playing this chess game against Cheney (to oversimplify) with a very high level of statesmanship and restraint.

Please beware of tendencies to set Russia as our enemy, when in fact we want to negotiate with them to be our partners.

The Russians know how their navy saved our republic during the Civil War; most Americans are totally unaware of this history.

(No attack on you or your good post, Seattle Moss! Just some “preemptive words” in the interest of avoiding preemptive wars.)

      • mary

        Gary McGown

Agree 100% with your assessment. Cheney, Bush and the gang have portrayed Russia as the “bad guy” when in fact Georgia’s disgusting little phony plea for help was brought on by their shyster Obama-like thug leader Saakashvili who’s been living off the U.S. Treasury for year since he left N.Y. with a law degree. He is a little fascist dictator with a self-inflated agenda to invite yet more billions for his miserably corrupt government and to provoke nearby sovereign Russian lands. No, the Russians are not the enemy, but Barky Odrama’s part of the Goerge Soros, Brezinksy and big Oil Bucks agenda to have Russian pipelines blocked in the Caspian so Soros’ monstrous muslim friends in Georgia and Turkmenistan can exploit their own people and bring oil uninterrupted by the Afganis to the Indian,Caspian seas. That’s why Obama will be the worst War-monger —making Bush like mother Teresa–fighting in Afganistan forever for Oil Interests. As for Africa, watch a renewed “interest in human rights for Darfur” so Barky’s puppet show managers can kick the Chinese out and exploit the people there more efficiently. The Chinese are actually building roads and isntaling electricity building bridges in Sudan. Wonder what Barky will bring to them? The rest is smokescreen. Barky Odrama doesn’t have an honest or smart bone in his body. Can’t wait till he gets “flip-offed” in the same middle-schooler fashion as he used agianst his superior female antagonist.
OdramaBummer the Warmonger will one day make people nostalgic of Bush who will be fondly remembered with as much affection as Mother Teresa in less than 4 years!

        • Gary McGowan

I hear you. Hope you are wrong about the Obama admin. though. Based on the fact that the institution of the Presidency is more than just the person behind the desk. We shall see.

(Noticed as I wrote I have to struggle with using the word “hope.” Damn those propaganda/PR people! I’ll fight for my language.)

  • drmilak

the invocation was not broadcast by hbo and not heard by the people present due to an alleged malfunction.

    here’s a link:
    http://blogs.kansascity.com/tvbarn/2009/01/why-was-rev-gen.html

here is rev. gene robinson’s invocation prayer. was it too controversial perhaps? as a lesbian and for all practical purposes 2nd class citizen, it made me cry! what a wonderful prayer!

Welcome to Washington! The fun is about to begin, but first, please join me in pausing for a moment, to ask God’s blessing upon our nation and our next president.

O God of our many understandings, we pray that you will…

Bless us with tears – for a world in which over a billion people exist on less than a dollar a day, where young women from many lands are beaten and raped for wanting an education, and thousands die daily from malnutrition, malaria, and AIDS.

Bless us with anger – at discrimination, at home and abroad, against refugees and immigrants, women, people of color, gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender people.

Bless us with discomfort – at the easy, simplistic “answers” we’ve preferred to hear from our politicians, instead of the truth, about ourselves and the world, which we need to face if we are going to rise to the challenges of the future.

Bless us with patience – and the knowledge that none of what ails us will be “fixed” anytime soon, and the understanding that our new president is a human being, not a messiah.

Bless us with humility – open to understanding that our own needs must always be balanced with those of the world.

Bless us with freedom from mere tolerance – replacing it with a genuine respect and warm embrace of our differences, and an understanding that in our diversity, we are stronger.

Bless us with compassion and generosity – remembering that every religion’s God judges us by the way we care for the most vulnerable in the human community, whether across town or across the world.

And God, we give you thanks for your child Barack, as he assumes the office of President of the United States.

Give him wisdom beyond his years, and inspire him with Lincoln’s reconciling leadership style, President Kennedy’s ability to enlist our best efforts, and Dr. King’s dream of a nation for ALL the people.

Give him a quiet heart, for our Ship of State needs a steady, calm captain in these times.

Give him stirring words, for we will need to be inspired and motivated to make the personal and common sacrifices necessary to facing the challenges ahead.

Make him color-blind, reminding him of his own words that under his leadership, there will be neither red nor blue states, but the United States.

Help him remember his own oppression as a minority, drawing on that experience of discrimination, that he might seek to change the lives of those who are still its victims.

Give him the strength to find family time and privacy, and help him remember that even though he is president, a father only gets one shot at his daughters’ childhoods.

And please, God, keep him safe. We know we ask too much of our presidents, and we’re asking FAR too much of this one. We know the risk he and his wife are taking for all of us, and we implore you, O good and great God, to keep him safe. Hold him in the palm of your hand – that he might do the work we have called him to do, that he might find joy in this impossible calling, and that in the end, he might lead us as a nation to a place of integrity, prosperity and peace.

    AMEN.

I’m sorry – I find that prayer pretty damn icky. But then I’ve just been watching the Nazi documentary and anything that elevates Obama makes me absolutely ill right now.

    • wodiej

I am a Christian. That prayer should have included “may God have mercy on Obama’s soul”

What about a prayer for Americans who work, fight and die every day for people like Obama who swindle, cheat, lie and steal w no regard to anyone but himself?

    • Ferd berfle

Bless us with discomfort – at the easy, simplistic “answers” we’ve preferred to hear from our politicians, instead of the truth, about ourselves and the world, which we need to face if we are going to rise to the challenges of the future.

That sure sounds like a reference to That One, imo.

As much as I love and respect Hillary Clinton, I will never believe that she in any way trusts what lies ahead for this country with Obama in the lead role. The first to be hurt by him were our GLBT brothers and sisters. Next? The working poor, those who have lost their jobs, their homes, those without health insurance?
One by one, those in the greatest need will be asked to give the most, suffer the longest and told to remain ever faithful to the messiah, for he has come to make a great change in our country.
We will be asked to cut back, cut down, cut out, while Obama and his followers spend 160 million on a party!
There is nothing like leading by example is there?
    What a fraud!
Everything about him bothers me, I cant even stand to watch a single moment of him, or his prune faced wife either!
I despise Obama and all he stands for. To me he represents everything that is wrong with our country.
When we will allow anyone to run for the presidency without any proof at all that they are even qualified to run, hide everything about themselves while other candidates lives are an open book, lie, cheat, steal, intimidate, manipulate, pay off delegates and supers, pay to play, everything about Obama is a lie, because Obama himself is a lie.
This man wouldn’t know the truth if it hit him in the face! There is no truth in his world, no justice, if there were he certainly wouldn’t be where he is now.
Obama has shown the American people that anyone can become president if you know how to manipulate the right people at the right time, if you make false promises, if you do all you can to get people to vote for you more than one time, to get the votes of dogs and cats, and even some dead people too, you can become president.
He is the epitome of everything wrong with our election process and how it can be manipulated.
Three elections in a row the loser became president, how disheartening it is to see this come to pass again and again and again.
We need to take our country back from those who claim to run it. They are getting rich off the taxes of the working class. They spend our money as if there is no end to it. 750 billion bailout? NO ACCOUNTABILITY! WTF?
How about bailing out the working poor you freaks?
The only part of this ride I’m going to enjoy is watching Obama fail so miserably as president, the office he isn’t anywhere near qualified to run.
I’m going to enjoy watching one by one as his supporters realize they have been used, they have been duped.
I will especially enjoy watching his most ardent supporters, the MSM get more and more dismayed by his total lack of experience and integrity. One by one they start printing the real news—Obama wasn’t qualified and they just realized they had been in a love fest with the idea of Obama and not bothered to check out exactly who this man is and what he is about.
Sorry America! We should have done our jobs as journalists and dug deep, told the real news about what has been going on the last eighteen months, printed stories about Obama’s relationship to Ayers, Wright, Resko etc.
MSM failed the American people, they failed to inform us about the truth of what was going on in this election.
It is a tragedy. Now we wait, we continue to suffer. Things aren’t going to get any better, Obama is already backsliding on those false promises, but some of us who are informed expected it.
I expect these next four years are going to be a living hell, not just for me but for all Americans.
    God help us.

Yes. If only the darn misogynist leg-thrilling frat-boy journalists had done their job!…Still can’t fathom how Obamyopia slipped through the Jeremiah-Gate, Ayres- Gate, KhalidiGate, Rezko-Auchi-Gate untouched. Teflon Perv-elect indeed! ?Conspiracy of Big Soros Money, Rigged nomination, Sexism and Marketing of the Brand = Success

The unplugging of Rev Robinson’s invocation is symbolic of the way things will be these next four, perhaps eight, years.

We have been watching the second season of Henry VIII, and the first season of Mad Men, which were both saved specifically to help us through this week; knowing in advance the msm would be non-stop about the events ad nauseam.
    The saturation is too much.

Aww, I always got the same letter from OUR friend Hillary. One thing’s for sure; we’ve got her back and we’ll continue to support her.

Yes! All the best to Madam Secretary. And may she set free millions of enslaved women and girls all over this hill of beans we live in….If anybody CAN DO it, it’s Hillary Diane Rodham!

  • I’m a Linda too

    Be safe Hillary.

  • mdmdstork

I’ll continue to support Hillary but I stopped sending her money when Obama took over the DNC. I’m not sure where the money goes. She should just pay the money herself and have Bill write another book.

A new book on the VPs from John Adams to Dick Cheney. Some of America’s worst pols, to be sure.

Veeps: Profiles in Insignificance by Bill Kelter and Wayne Shellabarger

    Two of my favorites:

Aaron Burr: In his twilight [Aaron] Burr found solace in letters and women, sending breezy notes to his beloved daughter, Theodesia, regaling her with tales of his favorite European prostitutes, rating them by price and satisfaction — the kind of bonding every daughter longs for from her father.

Dick Cheney: When travelling, Vice President Cheney demands that his his hotel suites…have all televisions preset to Fox News Channel.

I supported Hillary in the primary and McCain in the general election. The election is over and Obama is now soon to become president. My deepest hope is that I was very wrong about Obama’s qualifications to be president and will gladly admit my mistake if and when Obama proves me wrong, for the good of the country. If he fails its not my fault and I will campaign against Obama again in the next election.

I left the Democratic party and I am now unaffiliated not because of Hillary but because of the rules the Democratic party. The super delegate system only gives the elites of the party the method to control the election and is a corrupting factor. Perhaps this is a fight Puma’s should take up between elections along with others.

Hillary is a public servant and as such is responsible to the people and not the other way around. None of us need to follow her advise and I will not. My commitment to Democracy trumps any commitment to particular issues or personalities
