I would keep a close eye on changes to the United Nations Population Fund – restrictions and conditions portion of the agreement.

Sometimes policies can be ‘cloaked’ through their implemention in a ’round about manner’ that is hidden from public inspection. The public is not too keen on reviewing numbers and agreement details and unfortunately, the same goes for the msm.

It will be up to the special interest groups to pay really close attention to the details in an effort to shed light on any disconnects between ‘talk’ and ‘action’.

De-funded during the Bush Administration, US money for the UN Population Fund that supports China’s policy of coercive abortion will flow again during the Obama Administrations, say supporters

Supporters of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) are confident that President-elect Barack Obama will reverse the Bush administration’s 2002 decision to stop the $40 million it received in U.S. funding. The policy was instated because of UNFPA’s support for China’s one-child policy, which includes coercive abortion practices.

Rep. Carolyn Maloney (D – N.Y.) said the funding will be approved by the Democratic majority Congress. Her comments came while speaking Wednesday at a press conference at the National Press Club where the 2008 U.N. report on world population was released.

You know the president will have to do nothing,” said Maloney. “He will just have to let the will of Congress go through. One of the changes is that UNFPA will be funded,” CNSNews.com reports.

Nevertheless, Rep. Maloney claimed the U.S. will no longer “impose our own ideology” under the UNFPA funding changes.

She said Obama “has already said his administration will change the way we do business in Washington and that improving the role of women around the world is going to be one of his prominent priorities.

When I heard the original statement, I wanted to gag. Chris Matthews said something similar several months ago [it was "his" job to make sure this administration was successful].

But here Smiley sounds somewhat less confident that Barack Obama is going to be . . . decisive. Running a good campaign was “suppose” to be the experience to handle the presidency. Remember??

Susan hinted at some political intrigue, and I would expect that is correct, our “leaders” can’t just do the right thing, they have to strategize, poorly, first.

Obama should make sure to appoint ethical scientists, though, to oversee any program, not this stupid medicore trash that has populated the scene, as of late.

And by that I mean sloppy, ineffective scientists, with no regard for ethics, those who feel science should be empty of morality.

ASCs are working now, many companies, many cures.

ESCs can’t because they’re too unstable, they grow too fast and they haven’t found a way to stop it.

I know this due to the death of my uncle in a study done in NYC four years ago. He got tumors all over the place and we lost him. The famous hospital is still trying to shut the study up. Two other men died as well. I saw one guy at the Parkinson’s conference in DC last year, so he’s okay. The others I haven’t seen.

It’s great for diabetes, many cures so far… why the media hasn’t put it out there is suspicious. There’s a lot of private money pouring into it.

Also a lot done with ASCs for heart issues, bone marrow, etc.

They’re still trying with ESCs, not a cure yet (the growth, like I said up thread). ASCs are good because they’re yours (no rejection issues).

We have to get money to what’s working already. Last I heard they found a way to make ASCs ‘act’ like ESCs (maybe more flexible/pluripotent), don’t know, I have to look. I’ll get in touch with those I know in the field to get whole journal pieces and the latest findings/advances.

The stinking insurance companies are out to gouge the public, including the medical profession.

When claims go down, rates continue to skyrocket.

But allow competition for med mal practice insurance in a state or even announce it is coming and watch the rates descend.

Letting Doctors pool their resources and self-insure works well too.

There isn’t a single decent doctor who could honestly claim his or her med mal rates were actually due to litigation recovery.

BO will not be able to stop this research.
