I Heard President Obama say one line in that sppech that struck me as another possible eight second sound Bite..at least to me..

unfortunatley he read his speech..and did not make the “Delivery” he should have..

The new White House website unveiled by President Barack Obama’s team Tuesday includes a shot at former President Bush’s response to Hurricane Katrina.

Under the “agenda” portion of the site regarding Katrina, it reads: “President Obama will keep the broken promises made by President Bush to rebuild New Orleans and the Gulf Coast. He and Vice President Biden will take steps to ensure that the federal government will never again allow such catastrophic failures in emergency planning and response to occur.”

“President Obama swiftly responded to Hurricane Katrina,” the statement on the site continues. “Citing the Bush Administration’s ‘unconscionable ineptitude’ in responding to Hurricane Katrina, then-Senator Obama introduced legislation requiring disaster planners to take into account the specific needs of low-income hurricane victims.”

The site also points out that Obama “visited thousands of Hurricane survivors in the Houston Convention Center and later took three more trips to the region” and worked with the Congressional Black Caucus to help rebuild in the aftermath of Katrina.

This past Sunday Canada refused to allow Bill Ayers to enter the country.

Wow! I am listening to Obama give another speech right now and he’s talking about the wonderful new transparency we will have. He said he will hold himself to a higher standard and anything we need to know about him or any past president will be open and that this administration will live up to the letter and spirit of the Freedom of Information Act….blah blah blah.

Dudes! I am totally on board with this guy! Let’s start with that birth certificate.

I think this is the best thing I have ever read about Ayers and I particularly like the fact that it was published in the left-wing “Nation”.

Katha Pollit hits the nail on the head with this:

“I wish Ayers would make a real apology for the harm he did to the antiwar movement and the left………..I’d like him to say he’s sorry for his part in the destruction of Students for a Democratic Society. He’s sorry he helped Nixon make the antiwar movement look like the enemy of ordinary people.”

Too many on the left still romanticize Ayers and his buddies. They refuse to face the fact that these people destroyed the peaceful antiwar movement and set progressive causes back for years.
I was in college in DC at the time and remember how people who had enthusiastically participated in the peaceful protests dropped out after the radicals took over. The Republicans tarred all liberals by association and used this fear tactics for years to defeat Democrats. Lefties who defend Ayers repudiate the very values that liberals stand for.

I just heard on NPR that Obama did not participate when Warren asked everyone to join him in saying the Lord’s Prayer. Is that true?
