Let there be do doubt. I am thrilled that George W. Bush is now consigned to history. He was a swaggering buffoon as a President and hurt this country. Comedians and pundits spent the Bush years, rightfully so, making fun of Bush’s verbal gaffes.
So, if Bush is a verbal moron, how do we explain that he did the oath of office twice–once in 2001 and once in 2005–error free. Meanwhile, Barack Obama, the most brilliant man to EVAH take the oath of office bungled it with the clownish help of Chief Justice John Roberts. And, Barack the Brilliant, took the oath again today, Wednesday, 21 January 2009. So he did it twice in two days and Bush was able to get it right with only one try.
Could it be that President Obama, while a smart guy, may not be the most brilliant ever?
