WorldFocus: This New PBS Show is Growing On Me …

… starved as I am for real international news. PBS has put together a great team for WorldFocus, a daily half-hour world news report, with a highly experienced anchor in Martin Savidge, reporters, and bloggers (read about the staff), Those bloggers can include people, from all over the world, who report in on key matters ocurring in their regions. Here’s the show on January 21, 2009, which contained startling facts and stories on the growing unemployement in the UK, Germany and Australia, and much more:

DESCRIPTION: ” Watch the show from Wednesday, January 21: Unemployment in Britain, world economy, Middle East diplomacy, Guantánamo, Iraq and Afghanistan, Taliban and Pakistan, Gaza, Iran, women in Jordan, Chinese censorship.”

Check out all the great stories up at WorldFocus, which you should also be able to watch on most PBS stations around the country.

yeah its not bad as international news .

I like the pic of the sausage in the article on eating less meat. There is not much meat in a bratwurst- .

I get to eat 2-3 of those annually at the Octoberfest along with an OOmpahloompah band.

The best international news is Al Jezerah-true!
