Obamaisms * Open Thread

One man’s window, is another man’s door. What to do? what to do?.

  • Strawberrybitch

I’m telling ya, it’s only a matter of time before there’s a Obamaism Day calender. I still have no idea why the MSM claims he’s smooth and suave.

  • http://undercoverblackman.blogspot.com Undercover Black Man

Yeah, Strawb. How come they never showed him bowling?

    Oh, wait…

    • Strawberrybitch

UBM, dude, go pick on Julie D and LonnyH. If you do, I’ll call a truce. PS Beware of incoming flaming cowpies.

      • http://undercoverblackman.blogspot.com Undercover Black Man

        Have snark, will travel.

I’m behind on my blog reading the past few days, so I don’t know what type of shenanigans Julie D and LonnyH are up to. But… I’ll be their huckleberry.

I know, (Obama) I will create a new Door Czar, all doors will be clearly marked and all windows will only be used when necessary and no cameras allowed.

    • Idiocracy08

      Now THAT is funny!
WTF with all the czars??? Is this 19th century Russia?

Publishers Clearing House comes to the window and Obama says “I won”!

  • Johnny Smithfield

    Ugh.

Repubs love to whine these days. So pathetic (and funny). Is that their evidence of “bias”? The media not reporting the President almost walking into a window? LMAO!

If this is what Republicans have to offer the next four years, they are going to be in the wilderness a LONG time.

Hannity’s new show is almost unwatchable. He really needs a foil on his show. Since he lost Colmes, he sounds like such a whiny petty little man.

He and Olbermann both give me raging migraines!

“He really needs a foil on his show”

      tin foil?

Speaking of Colmes, what took him so long?

I think what I abhor most about Hannity’s show is it’s “Lib-er-al” segment, not because liberals don’t need to be shown for their hypocrisy, but because this is so damn childish. Why not do an effective critique of liberals and progressives?

It wouldn’t take much, but Hannity brings on his “panel” and they are all in agreement, so what the hell is that worth?

“liberals don’t need to be shown for their hypocrisy”

What are you saying, you already know about it? You’re just ignoring it?

Often birds will see their reflections in a pane of glass and become confused. They think it is another bird and respond to it as if it were a potential threat. At other times they try to fly through the glass not suspecting that it will impede their progress. After many unsuccessful attempts they give up and try to regain their strength.

Of the mammals, only Obots respond in the same way. They become belligerent and demand that the government provide training on how to avoid such obstacles. When they learn that they alone suffer from this ailment they become even more agitated and claim that it is some kind of invisible force field cooked up by Bush. They become irritated, totally flummoxed, act defensive and call people names to hide their embarrassment. They will have to outsource the job but someone will have to put little smiley face stickers on the windows so Obama doesn’t hurt himself.

“Often birds will see their reflections in a pane of glass and become confused”
May be Obama gets a bird’s brain! :P

Don’t forget, they’ll say the problem will have it’s roots traced back to Reagan…

  • Obama: Dubya II Electric Boogaloo

    “That’s not the door that I knew…”

  • C.S.

Like the “food tasters” that followed GWB around foreign countries, the Obama guy should use his political clout to appoint a door finder for him…maybe he could hire one of those homeless vets he has such “respect” for.

Pompous, arrogant and narcisstic politicians who think they are better than the People they serve deserve to be snickered at once in a while to remind them that they are subject to the same foibles as the rest of humanity; especially this messiah wannabe.

    MADAME PELOSI

Madame Pelosi wasn’t happy with the small private jet
that comes with the Speaker’s job, no, Madame Pelosi was
aggravated that this little jet had to stop to refuel,
so she ordered a Big Fat 200 seat jet that could get her
back to California without stopping! She is the first Speaker
of the House to EVER in the history of our country have a
jet of this type to use!

Many, many legislators walked by and grinned with glee as
Joe informed everyone that’s Nancy ‘s Big Fat Jet costs
    us, the
hard working American tax payers, thousands of gallons of
    fuel every week.

Since she only works 3 days a week, this gas guzzling
jet gets fueled and she flies home to California , cost to
the taxpayers of about $60,000, one way! As Joe put it,
‘Unfortunately we have to pay to bring her back on Monday
night.’ Cost to us another $60,000.

Folks, that is $480,000 per month and that is an annual
cost to the taxpayers of $5,760,000. No wonder she
complains about the cost of this war, it might cramp her style
and she is styling, on my back and yours.

I think of the military families in this country doing
without and this woman, who heads up the most do-nothing
Congress in the history of this country, keeps fueling that
    jet while doing nothing.

Madame Pelosi wants you and I to conserve our carbon footprint.
She wants us to buy smaller cars and Obama wants us to get a
bicycle pump and air up our tires.

These people are nuts, if you agree pass this on, if not
don’t cry fowl when you can’t afford to fill your hybrid.

    “In God We Trust”

  • Idiocracy08

    It’s not just the gas.
You got to pay the pilot and co-pilot. Is there a flight attendant? Security? Where do the pilots live? Do the taxpayers pay for the pilots to travel one way to get to the plane? Or do they fly the plane back to California after dropping her off in DC? And then come back to get her? Or do they pay for parking the plane in DC & California (where ever she is at the time). Do they eat on the plane? Do they use the internet? Maintenance & repair fees, etc…

    The skank should fly coach.

    Beware Politicians Bearing Gifts

    January 29, 2009

In sports they call it a misdirect; magicians and illusionists will slip a card into the deck while they distract you elsewhere. What President Obama is doing with the 647-page, $825 billion so-called “stimulus package” legislation is closest to the tried-and-true tactics of a team of pick-pockets. One grabs your attention by yelling about some emergency problem, while the other slips his hand in for your wallet. Before knowing it, you have been robbed blind.

Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel in November described their tactic this way: “Never let a serious crisis go to waste. What I mean by that is it’s an opportunity to do things you couldn’t do before.” And have they ever!

While President Obama is at the White House spreading fear with dire predictions of an impending economic collapse, fellow Democrats in Congress are having a heyday slipping their favorite, pet projects into the massive pork bill. It’s no wonder the “package” is 647 pages long when you look at what’s included. The Wall Street Journal did an in-depth study of the legislation and concluded, “this bill was written based on the wish list of every living — or dead — Democratic interest group.” Not only that, the vast majority of the bill will do nothing to help the economy.

The big winners are the unions to which Obama is beholden. Obama’s background as a union organizer is fostering unhealthy ties to these special interest groups. Unions who organized and contributed to his campaign are raking it back in many times over. Education gets a whopping $66 billion — this is after President Bush doubled the Department of Education’s budget while in office. But don’t be misled. The bill is very specific, saying the money goes only to schools with union teachers. Your children are out of luck if they don’t go to a government school. Page 257 states: “No recipient…shall use such funds to provide financial assistance to students to attend private elementary or secondary schools.”

Public-employee unions, such as mass transit workers, stand to profit by $6 billion, but these poorly run systems have nothing to do with helping the economy. Also snuck into the bill is $7 billion to modernize federal buildings and facilities and $600 million for the federal government to buy new cars. This is while the rest of us are delaying remodeling our own homes and keeping our older cars running in the recession.

And how is giving $150 million to the Smithsonian going to create jobs? There is $1 billion for Amtrak, $50 million goes to the National Endowment for the Arts, $400 million for global warming — and don’t forget the necessity of digital TV conversion. They have included $650 million for more coupons to make sure everyone can see their TV. Watching TV is one of our rights, isn’t it?

A huge portion of the bill — $252 billion — goes to income-transfer payments, such as Medicaid, more unemployment benefits, food stamps and the earned income credit for people who do not pay any income taxes. This money does not fit the definition of a job producer and does not belong in this piece of legislation. It belongs in a welfare bill.

According to The Wall Street Journal, only about 12 percent of the $825 billion “can plausibly be considered a growth stimulus. And even many of these projects aren’t likely to help the economy immediately.”

Spending hundreds of billions of dollars, which the government doesn’t have, won’t jump start this economy. Less government involvement, not more, is what this country needs to resurrect itself. Sometimes the best thing to do is be patient and let the recession run its natural course. Beware of political pickpockets dressed in designer suits with government titles, because eventually they will reach into your pocket for your hard-earned money.
