Just Have A Good Cry…

Awww. Poor baby. There, there. It’s going to be OK.

So the guy you thought was Mr. Wonderful turns out to be Mr. Disappointment.   He’s let you down in so many ways.  You thought he would change your life for the better, and now you wish you’d taken time to get to know him before making that big commitment.  It’s called “vetting.”

After your previous long and painful relationship, you had a chance to do it right this time, and you blew it.  You made a bad choice while you were on the rebound, and now you’re stuck with him.

We tried to warn you, but you wouldn’t listen.

Rebound relationships are usually doomed from the start.  You’re so happy to be free of the old one, you rush into the next with your hair on fire.

You start thinking how all the happiness you’ve been missing is just around the corner, in the person of that attractive stranger you hope to meet real soon.

Before you know it, you’re making the rounds, asking friends for introductions, looking for love. Having just ended a bad relationship, you are a bit vulnerable, whether you realize it or not. You find yourself willing, even eager, to believe in magic again.

So, as it usually happens, along comes someone that sweeps you off your feet. Someone who seems really exciting and not at all like The Monster you just got out of your life. This person is different! This person could be The One! Your Savior!

It’s called “infatuation.” You are chemically ready to form a new partnership with a new love. It’s over-powering! It’s so fun! So exciting! So… insane!

You don’t even KNOW this person, and yet there you are, giving all you have to a virtual stranger, swept up in the “newness” of it. You keep saying, “it’s never felt like this before! This must be true love!”

“I feel like I’ve known you my whole life!” you exclaim passionately. Or perhaps it’s, “I feel like we were meant to be together! You are the one I’ve been waiting for!”

You are so excited, you can’t stop talking about your new love to all your friends. While they may share your happiness, inside they are trying to think how to tell you to slow the hell down!

They may know something about this person that you don’t, or maybe they just think you are not thinking clearly. They try to warn you to be careful. Slow down. Think it through. What do you really know about him?

And how do you respond to this caution from your friends? Not well!

You become defensive and paranoid. You think it’s ridiculous anyone would question your judgment.

“Why are you against me finally being happy? Why can’t you see how wonderful we are together?”

Your friends may ask if you have checked up on this person, if you have done any background investigating, or if you have some references to vouch for this stranger. The nerve of these people!!

You are willing to defend this stranger with your life. You are ready to dump lifetime friendships for this person who has bowled you over with giddy excitement. Whatever New Love says is the ultimate truth!

“And besides, all his friends are so cool! And they all think we are perfect together! So who needs fair-weather friends who can’t support my decisions and accept that I am now a better person and in a better place than before? Who needs you?!”

They try to reason with you, but to no avail. You are already over the edge. You are convinced this is it!

Now that you are committed to New Love, your Old Love is now The Enemy, along with all the old mutual friends! And the in-laws! And the people at your old hang-outs, and all your old friends who don’t enthusiastically support your new obsession. So you shut them out, every one of them.

Your new life now established, it’s time to settle down again and just be a couple.

Now for the first wavelets of doubt.

First, he disses your family and friends, more and more. He seems to care nothing about your life outside of him. He’s always needing money. You begin to wonder about the whole thing, and start to question him about a few things in particular.

“Who was that on the phone? Why do you hide your email?

What happened to the money I had hidden in the cookie jar? What do you mean, “our” money?

Why can’t we go out this weekend? You have other plans? With who?

Are you lying to me? I can’t believe this! I gave up my whole life for you, and now you lie to me!

Is that even your real name? I feel like I don’t even know you anymore!

You told me when we met that you were going to do all these things, but now you’re saying something completely different! Whatever happened to our plans? Why are you turning away from me? Don’t you even care what I think anymore?

The Rebound Relationship everyone warned you about came into your life when you wanted someone different to change your life, to give you hope for something magical, to transform your life from the dreary to the new and exciting. And now, POOF! It’s over. And you are sadder, but wiser.

And your life has changed, all right. New Love has already maxed out your credit cards. Your bank account is empty. Mr. Wonderful is even bad-mouthing you while spending your money, and laughing at you because you were so gullible.

And your old friends, who tried so hard to warn you? Most of them will take you back, if you show a little remorse for treating them badly, and show that you have come back to your senses.

But for now, just have a good cry. There, there. It’ll be OK.

Great post, although I never for once got the “tingle up my leg” that tweety got over the Fraud. Nevertheless, it’s going to be one bad breakup for the Bots when they once and for all find out the Fraud raided the cookie jar, stole the money, cheated on us, lied to us, made promises he didn’t keep, etc.

The good news is, the breakup’s coming faster than we thought LOL.

WASHINGTON – A U.S. senator has weighed in on the continuing controversy over Barack Obama’s eligibility for office by saying he has never seen proof the new president was actually born in Hawaii.
“Well, his father was Kenyan and they said he was born in Hawaii, but I haven’t seen any birth certificate,” Sen. Richard Shelby, R-Ala., told constituents in Cullman County. “You have to be born in America to be president.”

    Excellent diary.

Sometimes parliamentary systems fare better. You can have a no confidence motion and start over. We’re stuck with him for his 1st term here.

  • AlexisM

His “first term?” He’s already planning his third and fourth term. What a joke.

  • http://deleted Buzz Latte LaRue

I’m crying for a different reason.

I never wanted to date Obama, ever. I didn’t even entertain the notion of meeting him for coffee. I did not want to invite him into my home or the White House.

Yet, here he is. My president by arraigned deceit. The prom date with sweaty palms and stinky breath.

Along with a wilted corsage in a battered plastic box, I’m given second best. Why? Because my imbecile american relatives who thought he was the messiah and that they knew what was best for me were blinded by the kool-aid fumes.

No one took the time to get to know him.

  • yttik

LOL, fabulous post! I enjoyed reading that.

During the election I used to roll my eyes and think of someone saying, “But mom, he’s so dreamy! You just don’t understand him like I do.” I swear, half this country became a bunch of lovesick teenagers.

Oops, too late for common sense now, y’all ran off and eloped. Should have listened to your mother.

third, fourth.. let us not get melodramatic. I would like to think US constitution is an enduring document.

  • http://www.sonicninjakitty.wordpress.com Sonic Ninja Kitty

Great story, Steve, but I think we got screwed and the stimulus bill was our pregnancy test. We hoped and prayed and screamed and cried but it came back positive. We are going to be have to take care of this baby long after that no good lout is gone.

  • Seattle Moss

    Just wait until next week….

When the Feds nationalize the banks pressure will build on the value of Berkshire Hathaway
This stock sells for $40000 a share and represents a host of different companies that haven’t seen a collapse in their stock.
BH could be devalued based on the connections between Buffett’s companies and the financial industry.
    My prediction…5000 DOW

Now that’s something to cry about!

  • AlexisM

Well since they are trying to pass a bill to AMEND the Constitution, repeal that amendment (22nd?) for the Fraud, I think we’re in trouble. He has already stated he wants these terms and obviously is campaigning for the next one already. Is it any wonder they are also trying to cheat the Census? It’s a big fat plan by the Socialist bat crap crazy far left to take this country over until it is gone for good. Pray that better minds prevail over this insanity.

  • http://deleted Buzz Latte LaRue

Every time I see Obama’s picture I think of a prom date gone seriously bad. The kind that can scar your psyche for life.

Glad I could put a smile on a face or two!

  • jbjd

No; we are not stuck with him for one minute longer than one term, if that. Because all we need to prevent a second term is a slight modification of state laws allowing the Party to determine whether the candidate whose name gets onto the general election ballot is a NBC. And how can anyone, from either major political Party, possibly object to proposed legislation seeking a public vetting of whether the candidate for POTUS put forward by the Party is Constitutionally eligible for the job?

  • http://www.sonicninjakitty.wordpress.com Sonic Ninja Kitty

Now that’s something to cry about!

    OMG–like we needed more!

    Sure hope you’re wrong….

  • AlexisM

I personally don’t think he will make it through the first term, without impeachment or being booted out for not being a NBC. But, it’s really scary that the scum around him are already TRYING to pull what Chavez just pulled successfully. Very scary indeed.

  • http://deleted Buzz Latte LaRue

How about the RAT board provision in the Stimulus package. That alone should be worth a censure or restraining order.

Why do we have to put up with that?

    jbjd?

  • Peggy Sue

A biting piece of satire, Steve.

I’ve always thought that eventually even the Obamatrons would start to blink and twitch. But these addictive relationships are often tough to shake off. But then, the reversals just keep right on coming. Why am I not surprised???

Let’s hope the trance wears off before the house burns down!

  • AlexisM

You always make me giggle Buzz. But boy what that one funny. And my psyche is scarred for life too. I actually thought I was living in a “democracy” and that my vote counted. Try waking up next to THAT prom date. Dirty indeed.

  • catherine

Great post, but I for one have absolutely NO intention of ever taking back the race-baiters I once believed to be decent people or the so called progressives who morphed into Ken Starr during the primaries.

The mask came off and they showed themselves to be truly hateful, ignorant and sexist individuals who have no place in my life.

  • C.S.

A certain major political party certainly objected to the “wrong” candidate getting more votes than Soertoro/Obama to the point of taking delegates away from her and suspending the nomination process at their convention and if they would do that to rig the election in his favor why would they hesitate to fix it so he could have two more terms? They certainly showed our Constitution no respect during the entire 2008 election so why would they start now?

  • Abby

Whatever gave you the idea that this country was ever ready to elect a man-of-the-people American to office? As long as the corporate media decides who is “electable” and who is not, we will continue to pin our hopes on people who’re going to screw us. Always have, always will.

Of the three we were given to choose from, Hillary, McInsane and Obama, I think we ended up with the best out of a horrible lot. Of course they are all corporate stooges, would all have supported Israel before God and country, and would have continued the profitable-for-the-select-few wars without end but those three were the choices, remember?

Thrill up the leg has nothing to do with anything except that it gives Republicans something to laugh and gloat about and a leg-up for a near future return to power to finish the job Reagan started.

Power and money drives this engine, not ideology and Obama did not get elected because someone wanted to do to Obama what Bush did to Jeff Gannon for 8 years. Obama got elected because Hillary failed. McCain was in it for the show – tis was the year the Masters give us a Democrat and God Himself could not have altered that fact. The natives were getting restless after being screwed by Republicans for 8 years and a Democrat was called for.

    Understand Obama’s election now?

  • AlexisM

What a stupid post. Obama’s a Fraud. Understand the “selection” now, troll?

  • lisa in va

I haven’t posted in awhile. I was in mourning up until about Christmas. I still am in a state of disbelief.

Anyway, a funny happened in my kitchen today & I had to share.

Picture this scene: dh helping our 6 year old daughter with homework (yes, they give homework in kindergarten). Our 7 year old son (2nd grade) is “helping”. I’m about 20 feet away, cleaning up after dinner.

Dad: Okay, the next part of the assignment is…oh oh…lowers voice…you need to draw or paste a picture of the president on the page.

Kids: Mortified & quickly look over to me (I’m acting like I didn’t hear).

Daughter: (whispers)…well, Oblahblah only lies a little, right?

Son: (slightly louder whisper, indignant)…but he’s a BACKTRACKER!!! (We call him Backtrack Oblahblah)

    Daugher: Shhhh…mom will hear

Son: (leans over to dh and whispers), daddy, maybe I can draw a picture of oblahblah, but make him look kind of like McCain?

Me: Running to the bathroom to throw up while laughing my backside off!

Dh: Joining me a few seconds later with tears rolling down his face.

    :-)

Oh, one more thing. I got a call a few days before the election from my son’s teacher. He was VERY upset in class. They were having a mock election & he wanted to write in Hillary. LMAO! She went ahead and let him. Oblahblah still won…but Hill had a vote:-)

I guess I never really realized how much kids pay attention to their parents. Sure, during this election cycle I’ve almost taken a bat to the tv; sure, I’ve opened the window to toss out my laptop; sure, upon occasion, when I’ve heard him talk, I’ve become physically ill and run to the bathroom to puke (thought for awhile I was pregnant-lol). I guess I should have realized how much they were paying attention when they started leaping towards the tv to turn off pbs kids at 5:30 (Charlie Rose show starts & it was usually about Der Leader). And yes, when his name comes up on tv, my daughter covers her ears and sings “lalalalalala” at the top of her lungs until the station is changed. And I have to admit, when my son hears his name & I’m in a room, he runs to get a cold rag to put on my forehead.

Anyway, thought ya’ll might get a kick out of the goings on in our household this evening.

  • FranSC

Great satire, Steve, but I have yet to hear one recanting peep out of any of O’s adoring groupies. I would be very eager to hear stories about any of these people “coming to their senses” or at the very least starting to question the direction we are headed in. Anyone?

Barack Obama’s campaign for the presidency was trailblazing in its ability to tap into a network of activists around the nation to help propel him to victory. His campaign does not seem to have ended. He is again reactivating this network, but this time it is not to help him get elected. Instead, he is rounding up the usual suspects to help him advance his legislative program. The never-ending campaign has already begun.

Why do you far-right nutjobs keep on with this scare tactic? The simple fact is that the GOP was responsible for putting the 22nd Amendment into the Constitution (as an anti-FDR move only AFTER FDR’s death–brave souls, weren’t they?) and when the GOP got a “popular” President of their own (Reagan), the first signs of rescinding the 22nd came to life. When talk resumed in the late 1990s (during Bill Clinton’s 2nd term) to rescind the Amendment, the GOP and their loudmouth media shills tried to squelch any efforts to rescind it.
The simple fact is, that much like the “Marriage Protection” or “Sanctity of Marriage” Amendment proposals that pop up (courtesy of right-wing extremists in Congress), no one really wants to rescind the 22nd.
Plus, there’s always the fact that proposing an amendment doesn’t mean the amendment will pass. IF such an amendment is proposed and sent to the states, do you honestly think that 38 state legislatures will actually APPROVE the amendment? And within the generally-accepted 7 years from the time it leaves the Congress and goes to the States? Bear in mind that the 22nd was sent to the states in March of 1947 and only got 23 of the 36 necessary states by Feb 25, 1949. On the other hand, in 1951, the Amendment was ratified by 12 states in just a 34-day period from Jan 25 to Feb 27. Only one state ratified the amendment in all of 1950. The State Legislatures are under no obligation to consider ratifying a Constitutional Amendment ahead of other legislation.
Also, there’s the problem that, while such an amendment may seem thrilling when one party is in charge of Congress and has a President that members of that party are crazy about, reality has a tendency to bite such people squarely in the ass when they either lose control of Congress or their beloved President starts dropping in popularity. Had Dubya had the option to run for a third term, he very well could have changed a number of his programs and policies. Much of the reason he stuck to his guns so fervently after the 2004 election was that he knew he was in charge until 2008, come hell or high water (and he was probably rolling with fits of laughter after 2006, when Pelosi ruled out any impeachment talk).

  • TeakwoodKite

    I pose thisquestion;
What is the difference between when the Feds shut down a bank and when they nationalize it?

Second, when Eisenhower nationalized the steel industry and it was found un-constitutional, are not the banks in the same boat?

  • BlueTopaz

I think I lost another friend today. We were on the phone and the failing economy came up. She was defending BO and when I started to tell her some facts she said she disagreed (with facts???), but that we could still be friends. Then she had to hang up. Wow! An Obot willing to be a heretic’s friend. What a saint she is to forgive me for my sins (sanity).

I used to think she was a rethug because when I complained about Bush in the past, she was always silent. Now she’s a full blown BO freak! I will not be instigating any more contact. People who have been fooled usually resent those who tried to warn them, so why bother. I prefer intellegent friends, anyway, so no great loss.

I’m sorry you have lost friends over a national election. That is sad. Let me try to explain how we came to vote for Obama. First, we are usually Democrats — sometimes we vote for a moderate Republican — usually, though, we would be called Dems. We loved the Clintons. Still think he’s the smartest president in my lifetime.

During the year preceeding the election we were moving from one state to another; selling the old house, traveling, shopping and buying a new house. By August we were moving and didn’t even think about registering to vote and probably wouldn’t have. By October we finally paid attention and found that we were very worried about Sarah Palin’s lack of basic information we felt necessary to be a mayor, let alone a v.p. True, Joe Biden goofs, but he’s had many more years of experience and we used to live near Delaware and knew him to be capable and effective, if garrulous, . What really drove us to the polls was that two separate people we know — or thought we knew — sent us really dreadful insulting drivel about Obama.
I know it was intended to scare us into voting for McCain — it did the opposite. Those e/m’s were ugly and we couldn’t stomach being associated with that. So, our natural Democratic tendencies led us to vote for Obama. Some of our friends voted for McCain and we’ve all talked about this, but it would never, ever, break up our friendships and I sincerely hope you will reconcile with your friends very soon.

  • AlexisM

Jozefal…WTF is wrong with you? Yes there is legislation already being proposed to repeal that Amendment. And, YES, Obama has stated that he wants this “three terms.” Now, why would Obama publicly state he wants his “three terms” if the plan wasn’t to repeal that amendment? As for why would we think it would pass? Well, why would we have thought the Bacon Bill would pass? Why don’t you read something once in a while?

  • Pennsylvania Red

Come on you never intended on voting anything other than “D”. A few “dreadfully insulting drivel”-ish e-mails would not turn the tide for anyone who was seriously weighing both sides.

I received so many slanderous, untrue e-mails against Palin from one of my 0bot friends. I didn’t even bother to reply because it was clear she was drunk on kool aid. Oh wait, I take it back. I did reply to the one that invoked Deepak Choprah as the arbiter of all things political and anti-Palin.

If all it took was a few “drivel” e-mails to swing you to n0bama, you must have missed the PALIN IS A C*NT pictures. That may have swung you back to the Republican ticket.

Last night my friend told me about her nephew who was a big 0bama supporter. He recently pored through a copy of Porkulus, and he was horrified. He’s starting his own business and is doing fairly well for a young entrepreneur. Today he is ready to attend the Chicago Tea Party.

Oh well, another one bites the dust.

  • http://www.noquarterusa.net/blog/2009/01/25/political-wimps-and-cowards-whining-about-guantanamo-terrorists/#more-12310 marie

Actually, I did miss the Palin is a ….. pictures until after the election. My life does not revolve around politics and this huge move just took over our life. If I had seen that, I wouldn’t have bothered to register or vote at all.

As to, “Come on you never intended on voting anything other than “D”. I believe I pointed out that I am inclined to be a Democrat — however, in this case, McCain would have had a substantial edge with us. He has always been an appealing, heroic figure to us.

And the point of post was that it isn’t worth losing good friends, especially old friends, for honest differences. Having clones for friends would get pretty boring, pretty fast. All of us should keep our good humor and affection for those closest to us.

  • (trying to get over it)

that’s great! my 6 & 12 year old are the same. They were well-bred liberal democrats like their mom & dad; fierce Hillary supporters (she was our senator; they met her, etc.); and they can’t stand the drone of Obama (my 6 year old wonders why Obama always says the same things, and why does he have that scowl?) – they know enough not to be too outspoken (sigh) about their feelings in school, but maybe we’re raising some covert revolutionaries! They are bolder than I am in confronting their grandparents who are kool-aid supremers…and my 12 year old daughter defended Palin when my father was trumpeting about David Brooks calling her the “cancer of the republican party”. We, too had an interesting homework session, when my 1st grader had to read some propaganda about Obama, and regurgitate it; one question was about where he was born. The Scholastic Pamphlet said “Hawaii”. My son read that, and then said: “Wait, I thought he hasn’t shown his real birth certificate…right? We don’t really know where he was born, right?” My husband and I sighed, “Just write Hawaii”. Toe the line.

  • lightacandle

I have to wonder how some of the Obama supporters will feel once they find out Obama’s coming after their Social Security and Medicare.

I hope they’re independently wealthy and don’t need Social Security and Medicare, because Obama is planning to “whack” both.

Yes, this week Obama is convening his “fiscal responsibility summit,” and one of the major issues he is focusing on is the “reform” of Social Security and Medicare. http://tinyurl.com/c9wsrx

Just to be clear: when millionaires (which our president and all members of Congress are) start talking about “reforming” Social Security and Medicare, they mean “destroying” Social Security and Medicare.

It is almost obscene to talk of “fiscal responsibility” in the same town where legislators FAILED to oversee what this nation’s banks, lending institutions and investment houses were doing, so that now we struggling taxpayers have to donate TRILLIONS of our tax dollars to bail out the very people who profited from unregulated gambling on bad mortgages and other investment tricks.

“Fiscal responsibility”? I’ll tell you where I’d like to put their “fiscal responsibility” . . .

And now they will loot what’s left in the Social Security Trust Fund to make up for their failure.

Their failure … our tax dollars.

And please remember, Social Security is NOT BROKE … it is NOT running out of money … and can pay FULL benefits for the next 40 years. After that, there would, maybe, have to be some adjustments — but NOT UNTIL THEN.

We have been paying extra into Social Security since 1983 — when the tax rate was INCREASED — to provide for the retirement of the baby boomers. Do NOT let anyone tell you the retirement of the baby boomers was not adequately provided for — it was!

Peter G. Peterson, one of the wealthiest men in America, is dedicating a considerable portion of his massive fortune to destroying Social Security.

Many Obama voters “just arent that much into politics” and dont dig much for additional information. They just take what is handed to them and go check all the boxes with D or R next to them, depending on how they have been programmed.

You can usually tell such a person because they find Palin or Clinton “scary” because they heard it on MSDNC or Rush said it once. Both women have plenty of professional experience so give it a rest already. Obama was the one with the nonexistant resume in this election, not Palin.

If you dont like thinking about politics do the rest of us a favor and stop voting. Really.

Senator Shelby is wrong about what constitutes a natural born citizen. If one or more parents are American citizens, and have resided in the US for a specified number of years before the birth, total not consecutive, then the child is a natural born American citizen no matter where he is born. I am the child of a Foreign Service officer, born abroad, and both my parents were American citizens. I am therefore a natural born American citizen and eligible to run for President. Obummer is an American citizen, courtesy of his mother’s citizenship. It doesn’t matter where he is born. The Senator should research the definition of natural born citizen before he opens his mouth. What the framers of the Constitution were preventing was a citizen of another country coming here and being naturalized and then running for President. That situation could set up questions of which country the person is loyal to, his original home or his new country. The prime example of someone trying to overturn that clause in the Constitution is Arnold Schwarzenegger, who wants to be president, but can’t because he wasn’t born a citizen. He is naturalized, and therefore not eligible, no matter who he is married to.

One down and 68,999,999 to go

Take one down, and pass it around . . .

It’s going to be fun singing this song for the next 4 years! And as for “another one bites the dust,” what ever happened to “We are the champions!”

I refused to vote for either Obummer or McCain. I voted for Cynthia McKinney who ran on the Green Party ticket. Got to vote for an African American, the environment and a woman. Can’t beat that!!

Marie, what exactly in those e-mails was more repellant then Sandra Bernhardt’s threats of gang-rape directed to Palin?

Well you are wrong as well.

Under the Nationality Act of 1940, revised June 1952, is the law that applies to a birth abroad and is in effect at the time of birth. It stated if you are born abroad to one U.S. parent and a foreign national, the U.S. parent must have resided in the United States for 10 years, 5 of which were after the age of 14 in order to register the child’s birth abroad in the United States as a “natural born” U.S. citizen.

I would argue that this act in its foundation is unconstitutional because at the time of the adoption of this constitution a Natural Born Citizen was defined as: One born in the country to parents (plural) that are citizens of that country. (Vattel, law of Nations) Natural Born citizens of the US are ones born in the US to parents that don’t owe any allegiance to any foreign sovereignty.

Obama’s father was a Kenyan under British rule. His father was only ever here a few years on a visa. Obama admitted on his web site that he born with duel citizenship. But I would also argue because he was adopted by his Indonesian step father he has a third loyalty and has lost all previous citizenship’s.

Obama by holding the office of the President has subjugated us to a Constitutional Crisis

One more Crisis to add to his Crisis bag.

Obama’s birth status doesn’t meet the minimum natural born citizen requirements to become a president of the USA. Period.

Why else would he need to hire a myriad of attorneys and hide his birth certificate? 42 lawsuits and counting can’t all be wrong.

This is only one of the reasons the man is the most fraudulent and corrupt azzhole to come out of the Chicago combine. AND the dems are just as culpable for letting this happen.

Why this is even a legal issue is beyond comprehension. He should have been openly and transparently vetted and kicked out of running for any office before the debacle got this far.

“Sarah Palin’s lack of basic information”

Why is it BO’s lack of any qualifications never mattered to obots? He ran for the higher office.

Connie Francis – Who’s Sorry Now

    “Who’s sorry now
    Who’s sorry now
Whose heart is achin’ for breakin’ each vow
Who’s sad and blue, who’s cryin’ too
Just like I cried over you
    Right to the end
    Just like a friend
I tried to warn you somehow
    You had your way
    Now you must pay
I’m glad that you’re sorry now
    Right to the end
    Just like a friend
I tried to warn you somehow
    You had your way
    Now you must pay
I’m glad that you’re sorry now

You are going to love this link..hehehe I did.
    http://www.liberalrapture.com/2009/02/obama-adoration-v-hillary-reality.html

Here are some of the things in it..by a black banker who knew and met with Obummer long before he started his campaign.

At a very fundamental level, I have no idea on what you base your belief that Obama is “basically honest and intelligent.” Knowing the man as I do, including the people he surrounds himself with (and no -I’m not talking about just his spiritual counselors but those people who have nurtured his political career and on whom he relies for advice), I have found him to be a rather deceitful person who, certainly, is smart enough but whose vaunted intelligence is vastly overrated – his judgment even more so.

    snip—

He spent very little time at his actual job in the Senate or doing any substantive work – which was similar to his time in the IL State Senate. (What was little remarked upon when he ran for US Senate or POTUS was what a mess the Chicago district he represented was left when he advanced to the US Senate during a period when even poor districts in the country got at least somewhat better.) He certainly – for someone whose father (like mine) is African and who (as did I) lived overseas for a time – seems to at bottom be relatively incurious about geopolitics. And, he would get a glazed look in his eyes and look about for someone else to move on to when I raised questions about how he would address the looming US financial crisis I could see on the horizon.

    snip—

10 to 15 people at a meeting or a dinner – were not ones where you would expect someone to give you not much more than a stump speech in response to hard, policy questions. Not people who were aiming for the Presidency, at least. And, he was certainly fairly animated when talking about his “life” and “his story which could only have happened in the U.S.” (tell that to all my relatives and friends in the UK and Germany who are biracial with one African parent) and how he went into politics “for his girls future” and when asking us to reach deep in our pockets to help him succeed. It was only when he was pressed to delve deeply into significant policy issues that he became uninterested, bored and fidgety.

You should read this blog entry in full at the link. It is fascinating. Sets up perfectly the differences between Obummer and Hillary Clinton, and he doesn’t come off looking good at all.

  • avwrobel

Ha! Nice analogy. The whole mess gets me so nutty I have to just go for a jog to forget it all and relax. Obambi has me in the best shape I’ve been in in years!

  • NoBamaNoWay

abby, honey, your boy’s bought and paid for by the same media/corporations that elected him. and you think he’s gonna be looking out for the average americans? heh.

  • NoBamaNoWay

word. it is laughable to hear people who are (were) voting for Obama for PRESIDENT to say that Palin wasn’t qualified to be VP. i think it was a classic case of the woman needing to be twice as good to get half the credit, while the black male got extra credit points for being a black male. (a black female of course, would get no such extra credit).

There is a bit of confusion about the Obama citizenship concerning the person born in foreign service as their example is not the Obama example.

First Barack Obama sr. is a British National, covered under the British National Acts, which Barack jr. was born under.

Second, Stanley Ann Dunham, was born in America, but when she married a British subject, according to British mandate she was a British subject and an American citizen of sorts.
As she never renounced her British mandate which is required in public documentation, she was protected under British Law and had rights under that law.

Thirdly, Barack Obama, it doesn’t indeed matter where he was born, as in America or Kenya, he is a legal British subject.
He is a dual citizen and that disqualifies him for President.
Those are laws which Mr. Obama was born under. There are no expiration dates in this as his site says. There is only a formal declaration he renounced British citizenship.
That though is his Catch 22 as he does that it disqualifies him for President.

This is what is behind his Occidental College and Pakistani travel visa being hidden. It might be the reason why Hawaii is hiding his Birth Certificate as it would expose dual registry of Mr. Obama. Because if his name shows up as Soetero or if his visa is Indonesian or Kenyan based to get into Pakistan, it means he is a dual citizen and a Constitutional crisis will exist.

So Sen. Shelby is correct and the above poster is correct on their limited familiar experience. The difference is British Nationality Acts. I actually read them and know the legal statutes. Barack Obama could have run from parliament and served in the Queen’s regiments if he chose, and, could have immigrated as a British citizen to England any time he wanted with the full British justice system backing him.

The danger in this is not tears from the abandoned Obama voters, but their acting out in betrayal.
America must might see a massive march on Washington in the liberal mobs practicing a 1960′s catharsis.

    LMAO!!!!!!

I feel nothing for the majority of the idiots that voted for Obama. (Some did have the best of intentions.)

They deserve ALL of the misery that’s coming to them now and for the remainder of Obama’s term. They deserve worse.
