“I did not vote for Obama, but he is remarkable. In less than three weeks in office he has collected more than $150,000 in back taxes.”

Can any other president make that claim?!?!??! Huh??? Would John McCain have accomplished that???

And what else is goin’ on in the world?

  • Tess

That is really really funny. I see now he’s gone back to Chicago for orders.

I hope Nancy enjoys her trip to Italy and her visit with the Pope. I guess delaying it a few days to make sense of the Pork Bill would have been a real inconvienience. BO/HR/NP and the Demo lemmings.

Joe Scarborough “might” run for the Senate open seat in Florida. Waiting for what Crist is going to do.

  • Ellen D

Gee if all the Democratic politicians in the country paid their back taxes would that pay off the stimulus?

Let me tell you about my sweet Valentine,

Her name is Theano, and she is a mathematician and a philosopher. She lived about 2,555 years ago; so not a whole lot is known about her. But not much is known about her husband either.

She is the wife of none other than Pythagoras himself; so it is claimed. A case can be made that she is perhaps the most important woman who ever lived; because surely her hubby was the most important man who ever lived. To dispute this you would have to argue with such luminaries as Bertrand Russell, Erwin Schroedinger and Roger Penrose, so you had better bring your brain with you.

After Pythagoras died Theano (and her two daughters) kept his school alive in some rather turbulent times. Quite possibly she sustained his ideas enough, which when later put down in written form, spread along those vital currents all the way to Athens. And we know what happened when Plato got wind of it. He lit the torch that has burned brightly ever since. Plato added his own metaphysical elements for which he is known and made something shiny into something truly resplendent. Plato did this with a flourish that has since not been repeated.

Not only did Theano keep the philosophical movement going at a crucial period but she contributed some important theorems of her own; some having to do with the construction of the Platonic solids and the discovery of irrational numbers. If this is true, she has a rightful place in the history of western thought, especially scientific thought.

As far as I can tell, the Pythagoreans were the first to systematically treat women as equal yet opposite. Gender had total and complete parity. For them numbers had gender. Their whole philosophy is grounded on the reciprocity of opposites. Pretty cool. PUMAS are Pythagoreans.

I love the sound of her name, Theano, and the idea that right now I am the only man on earth who is thinking about her. That is my Platonic dream. Happy Valentines Day.

I’m depressed (not my normal state, either). If Obama and Co can pass a bill like that, they can do anything–ANYTHING.

The ‘online’ czar, director, whatever, is totally scary, too. I know we can all be optimistic, ‘give him a chance’, etc, but there is NOT ONE THING he’s done that raises hope within me.

  • Lizzy

I think that Obama is such a liar that every stinky slimy unethical thing he does just confirms my opinion of him. What I want to know is who owns him? Who hates us so much that they would destroy us?

  • steel magnolia

I hope she asks the Pope for forgiveness and confesses her sins.

  • AlexisM

I was a basket case and cried all night last night. The Bacon Bill passed and no one was looking out for Americans. No one. We pay the salaries of our reps and they didn’t even read the Crap Sandwich before they voted for it. Now my taxes have to pay for Pelosi’s Salty Marsh Rats. And for Green Golf Carts. Grrr….I think it’s tea time. Boston style.

    There is one silver lining….

As the money is being printed and confidence builds in the spring the dollar will drop which means an incredible increase in exports which will help factories and their employees.
However, if confidence doesn’t build and the stimulus appears to be a failure then the dollar could collapse which would bring on the hyper inflation we have all talked about.

  • bayareavoter

Bert–thanks for the chuckle; the only funny thing there is about this bill.

Otherwise, it’s just too depressing. I’m completely disgusted with our politicians.

I was mad at all my friends who voted for Nader in 2000 but he’s right–there’s not much difference between the Ds and Rs; they’re all controlled by big money.

My friend says it’s like the end of the Roman Empire…..but without the architecture.

    Goodnight all!

All right, this is ridiculous. This is a photo from a Borders bookstore in Dallas. Take a gander folks – the Obama books, including MeChelle’s, are in the Religion section for Kids. What in the hell is going on?

  • noproblama

Colmes had some obot on last night that writes for huffblow, among other things barkey.

She was going on about how dems are better than reps because they’re not “mean”. Yeah we Hillary supporters know how nicely we were treated. I blogged for Kerry and Gore and never heard anything like what the bots vomited on a regular basis.

Anyway, this air of superiority (oh, obama supporters dems are evidently smarter and funnier too) continued throughout the segment until she finally confessed that she basically just had a crush on the egocentric one. She then proceeded to give an example of why he’s just oh so attractive, and therefore I can only assume, deserving of not only our undying affection but our presidency as well.

He was speaking during the primaries and had to stop to ask for some water because, as he explained, he was hungry and had been eating almonds.

Whoo hoo, hot damn, it makes me weak in the knees just to think about it. Too bad I missed that. I could have been a happy sheeple waiting for my 13 bucks a week.

And here I was worried that prezbo’s followers were sophomoric awads that had no idea what the hell they were doing.

I spent over $300 at the warehouse club yesterday….to begin my food hording.

Someone sent me a quiz which (for me) was easy to solve using Pythagora’s Theory. They were amazed that it could be solved….kids, what do they know? I’ve solved many a building problem using his methods…and now have to consider that maybe it was Theano’s theory. In any event, they both make me look smart.

Back at the height of the cold war the USSR vowed to bury us; they needn’t have bothered. Our two party government has dug our own grave and the Obama government is busy filling it in.

I hope someone complained to management asking for equal display for their religious denomination. Where’s Messiah Moon’s representation?

Wonder how the Obama’s Christian god will smite them for challenging that “no other god’s before me” rule.

I think it’s tea time. Boston style.

It is. But are our generations able to do this? I doubt it–we know how to watch other people do things like that on TV/movies, but have no clue how to do it ourselves.

I saw the previews for this, it actually looks good.

I wish the title was a bit different, perhaps should read….From a Disenfranchised Democrats Perspective.

  • Ferd Berfle

    You’ve hit on something there.

I still have heard neither the question asked nor an answer given to the following question: “What group benefited from the Bush presidency that will also benefit from a That One presidency”? The answer to that question is the name of the puppet masters running our government and the ones that must be stopped.

  • Ferd Berfle

That would certainly be more to the point and a better description.

  • AlexisM

Kitty…I don’t think people ever thought it would come to that. But what I am seeing is that the “patriot” in people is being awakened. We took America for granted for too long. Too much apathy, too much letting other people fix things. I think that’s going to change. And I think that the resistance groups are getting bigger, more empowered and they are starting to gather in one place. When that happens I think that peaceful resistance will be the first step. After that, who knows? But I no longer believe that the majority of America will put up with this crap without doing something about it.

DVD just out on Amazon, The Audacity of Democracy (2009):

“This is the inside story of P.U.M.A. – its members and leaders. Starring P.U.M.A. PAC leader and founder Darragh Murphy and super-blogger Kim Riverdaughter Haas, and featuring dozens of other colorful characters, The Audacity of Democracy is at turns fascinating, infuriating, heart-breaking, and celebratory. Special 2-Disc Edition with Bonus Interviews and other material.”

  • oowawa

    Thanks trixta. That’s a must-have for me.

  • oowawa

dems are evidently smarter and funnier too

Who’s funny? The people who are pissed off, that’s who. It’s hard to be funny when you’re as happy as a hog in slop. Pain seems to foment humor, perhaps as a means of coping. Jon Stewart seems to be getting the point that as long as he is kissing the Holy O’s butt, he cannot be funny. The other late-night comedy pundits will realize that soon enough. The democrats aren’t funny as long as they’re as pleased as punch to be in power. Many comedians are tortured souls, and it doesn’t go with being “smug.”

  • AlexisM

The only thing I can say is that Crap Sandwiches are better served cold. Guess who’s going to get the last laugh on this one? When the OButts are all being put in straight jackets, and led off to the Banana Bin, we will all be laughing our asses off.
