[Feb. 18 UPDATE] Live-Blogging Hillary’s Interview

FEB. 18th UPDATE: Our video whiz, Truthelling007, is posting the full interview first thing Wednesday morning, which will also be up at NoQuarterUSA’s YouTube channel.

***************************************

THE INTERVIEW’s LEAD? HILLARY IS ASKING FOR GLOBAL HELP WITH OUR ECONOMIC CRISIS!

Andrea Mitchell is interviewing Secretary of State Hillary Clinton for the hour, from 1:00 p.m. ET to 2:00 p.m. ET.

Earlier today, from Morning Joe:

Join us to record what’s said, along with your impressions.

Warning: If you are inclined to make negative comments about Andrea Mitchell or MSNBC, post that elsewhere. The FOCUS of this post is HILLARY and her doing HER JOB as our Secretary of State. If you feel compelled to complainabout Mitchell or the channel, go to an old open thread somewhere from several days ago, and do it there. Such posts will not be allowed in THIS thread because they DISRUPT the IMPORTANT TOPICS we will be hearing about from our Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton.

THIS THREAD is to focus on what Hillary has to say about 1) our economic crisis and how it is affecting Japan, China, Indonesia, and South Korea; 2) the North Korea / nuclear issue; 3) human rights issues with China; and 4) other questions that Mitchell will have for Secretary Clinton.

HERE’s a warm-up news story:

I would love to follow along, but my slingbox is not working today! grrrr It has been offline all day!

What’s happening? Is the interview going now?

  • JustMe

    is this live online? anywhere?

  • Peggy Sue

MSNBC had a short clip. Not sure whether they’re planning to go back to Clinton or not. Mitchell just interviewed someone on the auto industry bailout and before that another man about the Buy American provision in the current bill, how Obama tried to “soften it.”

But the Clinton, face-to-face, was only at the start of the show.

Now she’s covering Obama in Denver and the Stimulus Bill signing.

This country is so lucky to have Hillary Clinton.
She deserves better than Andrea Mitchell. MSNBC is nobody’s friend.

    Thanks Peggy Sue

Statement caught my attention: many Japanese female students asking her a lot of questions…they see her as a sort of role model.

What happened to American female students, did they not support Obama in the primaries? Obama, the role model of young American college women. The crisis in this country isn’t just in the financial sector, there is an identity crisis, a cultural crisis, a media crisis….

Mitchell was pretty good on Morning Joe. Lack of sleep does her well.
Clinton is doing such a fantastic job.

As much as you hear negative things about Asian culture with respect to gender equality, the younger generation of women is all about education and career in today’s world. This is probably more so in Japan now. My Korean women students are perhaps the most driven and productive students I have seen, not to mention smart.

  • Mandelay

    That’s encouraging news!

Every one (media I’m looking at you) keeps yapping about the “historic” nature of Obama’s Presidency.

Yet they overlook the fact that Hillary has achieved some things no other woman in the history of this country has:

    1. First Lady.

    2. Senator.

    3. Secretary of State.

Yet all of her service to this country was dismissed as not good enough as compared to “hope and change”.

She’s certainly worked hard enough. Maybe now she’ll get her due.

    I agree with you Candymarl.

Here she is, traveling the world, addressing all the critical issues with confidence and grace, while Obama can’t seem to spend one consecutive week in the WH.

Hillary obviously commands the respect of leaders and citizens around the world. How shameful that democratic “leaders,” the media, and the Obama campaign treated her (and the will of the voters) so unjustly.

  • catherine

Agreed. There’s NOTHING historic about cheating and disenfranchising voters in order to “win”. Dubya beat him to it 8 years ago.

  • AOK

It’s pretty pathetic that you cling to this false claim that President Obama somehow stole the Democratic primary and the GE without a single shred of evidence to back up your claims. I shouldn’t be surprised as this seems to be par for the course for you PUMAs. Prove your case. Show some real proof or stop bringing it up.
