If it’s Wednesday night…it’s “No Topic Taboo…Everything Else with Jay“. This week I’ll have my first return guest, Texas Music award nominee Hank Woji. Your votes have helped nominate me for the 2009 Singer/Songwriter of the Year award!

This was a good year for Houston artists…especially with all the nominees for Singer/Songwriter being friends from here in the Houston area.

And because the past 3 recipients of this award, since it was first awarded, were also Houston based songwriters – Hayes Carll, Ken Gaines & Robert Frith (twice), I guess you could say Houston Songwriters Rock!!!

So OK…here’s the deal…I need your help again…please do this NOW because it will only take 3 minutes…and you just might forget later….I probably would! :-)

You don’t have to be a member of the Academy of Texas Music to vote. Fan votes make up 10% of the total vote, so please vote NOW! …don’t wait till Feb. 20th to cast your vote for your favorite artists!…Thanks!!

Winners will be announced at the ceremony at the Palestine Civic Center on Sunday, April 26th. The awards show is hosted this year by Texas’s own Michael Martin Murphey.
