Ironically enough, rosaleen, my mom was Japanese. I do remember a story about a badger who used to turn into a teakettle. And I always loved Badger in "The Wind and The Willows".

As far as Clinton goes, I understand there may be skeletons in her closet,

There should be a "Google Skeletons" similar to Google Earth, I think Hillary, at a minimum, has the (RC2) ready to go.

Regarding Edwards: Why so quiet you think?
I would still be stumping for the issues he cares about at least "keepin 'em honest".

You mean “corrupt” and not his personal hygiene, I take it?

One and the same...

As far as Clinton goes, I understand there may be skeletons in her closet, too, it isn't a matter of giving "my candidate" (who was Edwards, btw) a free ride.

Ultimately, this is about corruption, democrats and republicans taking money from those who would harm our national security, bottom line.

And terrorists kill, kill those least able to protect themselves.

For American politicans to enable this system, it's cancer, to our country.

"He was calling for Clinton to drop out now, and said this wasn’t about Clinton, it was what was good for the Democratic Party."

He isn't the first and he won't be the last. Move on.

Most of us know that the Republicans are gong to rapidly deflate the Prince of Platitudes and that McCain is the obvious winner of another McGovern/Mondale debacle, at best a Kerry loss. Knowing this, it really doesn't make much sense to worry about the "good of the party", what are you going to do, rearrange the rubble?
I'd keep Clinton in the race until the convention.

This is my reasoning:

By mid-May the delegates from the rest of the primaries will be chump change and the media, if they do not find another Terri Shiavo or Anna Nicole Smith to bird-dog, will be left to focus on Obama without the benefit of the cheering morons. Three months of staring into that vacuum is going to prompt them to dig for a better story just to keep their minds from tuning to pabulum, stories like the ones that you nice folks have been flogging Johnson about plastering all over the blog.

The superdelegates will flock to Obama if he does well in Texas and is not trounced to thoroughly in Ohio. They are still political animals, though, and if no one can find a "there" there in Obama by convention time OR if the Republicans screw up and do it for them, the feckless bastards will troop back. AND

One---- We get to have a real convention.

Two--- You nominate Clinton after the Republicans have spent the last three month's resources beating the living Jesus out of Obama.

There are still good politicians and people out there...Who are INTELLIGENT and Alert...and Will Support Hillary..becuase we..and THEY Know she is the Most vetted...reliable and qUALIFIED AT THIS TIME TO BE PRESIDENT...because she is a known MODEWRATE..who can support both Domestic and Foreign PROBLEMS when she has too..and with great Sensitivity..and Experience..if she has to respond to..so called..LEFT WING Issues ..which means she is a PROGRESSIVE ..who is sensitive to the Condition Burdening the people ...and has Compassion enough to care..as Contrasted by the Bush Administration response to katrtina Victims and other Socail issues and Problems..

They can't respond..becuasae they DON'T CARE..

Hillary is very Smart on Foreign Policy Issues...Knows Most of the Players..Understands the PROBLEMS..and Most of PLAYERS...Knows its a PLAYING FIELD..and That the GAMES Get Bloody..

"......and very sad. poignant. sad because wtf is the “block” that prevents her from being that way in public?"

There is no block. It is there for everyone to see as in her wind-up of the last Texas debate with the yuppy.

There is a filter, though, because her words were reported NOT as a warm and heartfelt, human response but by writers TO A MAN who described it as her farewell to the campaign.

To Time-Warner, Newscorp, Viacom and Disney Hillary's glass will always be half empty.

It was my understanding that the Pay of Bigs Operation was planned under the previous admin which had given it a green light. Kenndey was in a BIG power struggle with the JCS and was not originally in favor of it.

This is a serious point, when considering how the military brass reacts to a president they have no respect for and even less desire to work with.

Another cuban cigar and a walk down a street somewhere in Florida with trepidation expressed by a military friend.

BTW: I enjoyed you relating your experience re: Obama....

I urge anyone who, in the heat of this ugly campaign, thinks of giving up on Russ Feingold to read about the Senator and what he’s done for us in D.C. He is a good man.

The problem being, though, Obama is filthy, with ties to those who might be responsible for terrorism, in the US, and the world. In addition, at the very least, Obama is corrupt, through Daley, and in no way should be President.

Why is Feingold advocating for a man SO unqualified to hold the nation's highest elected office? It makes me question his ability to make a good decision, to see things as they are, or, it says to me, he's getting something, and now he's tainted, too. There is no way to win by endorsing Obama, period.

The damage Bush has done is indescribable, and now Feingold is backing the democratic Bush?

No.

I will do this today, or the next time he asks for money.

People can’t tell Feingold A THING after the courage he has shown during his political career.

Sure they can.

Don't tacitly support terrorists, Russ.

How much didya get?

If the press thinks Precious will be President…they will protect him to cover their own asses and insure access.

I was thinking that, too.

The one thing the republicans and democrats have in common is deep corruption.
