My first take was that you were implying that republicans were for genocide in the middle east. I am glad that is not what you meant. I live in Texas and like Bush don’t see immigration as a problem. Some of the people who come here are a problem but by far most are just good old fashioned hard working people who are doing their best to raise their family. The only people who are worried about mexican immigration are those who just have problems and want an easy target to blame.

Can you guys flush out this paragraph from Joe Wilson's Baltimore Sun OpEd:

How will Mr. Obama respond to charges made by the Kenyan government that his campaigning activities in Kenya in support of his distant cousin running for president there made him "a stooge" and constituted interference in the politics of an important and besieged ally in the war on terror?

Were there news stories about this incident? Unfortunately I have no time today. Over at dailyObama they're now shocked SHOCKED that this is coming out and they're calling this, and many other facts, smears and lies spread by the right wing.

The Canadin border does not have hundreds of people, walking miles on end, through a desert, putting in danger their health and welfare. The Candian border is much eaiser to police, particularly becuse 3/4 of the border is impassible by foot for about 1/2 of the year. Canadias are not coming to the US and sending back money, tax free, to Canadian families, and the Canadian border does not have rivers of trash extending miles along the routes of human and drug smugglers. Why this is not a bipartisan issue, I do not know. It’s not about hating brown people. I LOVE hispanic and latino people. Its about respecting the rule of law in this country.

Anytime you have hundreds of people a day willfully violating the immigration laws of the country, something has to be done about it. When my anscetors came into this country, they went through Ellis Island and obeyed the law. I only ask the same of our new guests and neighbors.

Funny cartoon, except for the “less brown people” line. Consider that Bush has had the most diverse cabinet, had African Americans running the State Department and in other key posts. The bi-partisan immigration proposal was John McCain and supported by Bush.

Everything else is valid.
