Tim Geithner, Obama’s Doogie Howser

Would you trust Doogie Howser to do brain surgery? Hell, no. Then how in the name of John Maynard Keynes did the Senate let Timmy Geithner become the Secretary of the Treasury? The dude is a pollitical hack who projects the kind of confidence one usually associates with Pee Wee Herman trying to pilot an airplane. Is it just serendipity that Geithner looks an awful lot like Doogie Howser aka Neil Patrick? Well, check out the following videos and see if you can pick out the “real” Doogie Howser and the boy who is desperately trying to make us believe he has the chops to be Secretary of the Treasury:

Play close attention to Geithner’s whining about the “inherited problem.” Well no shit! Yes, you inherited a monster deficit from the irresponsible Bush Administration and now you want the world to believe that the only way out of this massive debt problem is to create more debt?

Let’s face it, Timmy “Turbo Tax” Geithner is just playing a Secretary of Treasury. In real life he is an Obama butt snorkeler programmed to say really stupid stuff with a puzzled look on his face.

  • Doc99

Someone needs to ask Geithner at his next presser if he’s getting a refund this year.

  • Chicago Joe

Yeah, and look into the Rahm Emanual and Amy Rule foundation.

    • Tuppence411

I did! And WTF! How can that be legal? They given snake out of paying property tax?!

      • Tuppence411

*even. Sorry, “they even snake out of paying property tax”. I was spitting mad, I couldn’t even write. Here’s their scam so other don’t have to google. They established a non-profit charitable foundation. They deeded their Chicago mansion to the foundation. As a non-profit, don’t pay property taxes on their HOUSE!

        • Al C.

And I was told by others that this was a new crew. Don’t worry, we’re not getting Chicago moving into the WH. Well….

        • Janice

I would just say this shows you what a sleazebag cheapskate Rahm Emmanuel is-where there is a loophole, he will jump through it. Nothing to do with Chicago politics.

        • Strawberry

I tried to tell another regular here, only the middle class and the stupid pay taxes. The uber wealthy sometimes make money off of these supposed non profits. I’m gonna go eat my cake now.

          • elise

That’s all any of us will be eating soon, with no frosting.

          • Jackarooty

            Leona Helmsley was right…

“We don’t pay taxes. Only the little people pay taxes.”

  • lark

He answered quite succinctly that he is speaking of generational theft.

  • http://BREAKINGNEWS.COM Oisafraud

Tim Geithner, the tax cheater, CANNOT answer a simple question. Where’s the money coming from????

  • Retired

No one has a keener sense of smell for blood than a shark. Did you catch the ass-whipping that Las Vegas Congresswoman Shelley Berkley gave Timmy on national TV yesterday? After stomping him for saying that Las Vegas was off limits for anyone who took TARP funds, she ended up by telling him. “Not pertinent to your testimony here, but I’ve been calling you for three days now and you haven’t responded. I know that you’re busy, but would you please return my calls?” She then picked up her shit and walked out, not staying for any more of Timmy’s blather.

Stay tuned. Geithner is shark bait.

  • termo

Doogie Howser was a heck of a lot smarter than Geithner.

    • Jackarooty

Neil Patrick Harris is a hell of a lot hotter than “Skippy” Geithner!

  • CMartin

NPH is hilarious! Geither, not so much.

  • Doc99

Wall Street more impressed with Chicoms than Geithner.

  • Tuppence411

I like Shelia Bair. When I hear her speak, I actually feel calmer. Intelligent,hard-working and gives the impression she knows what she is doing and has her eye on the ball. Why wasn’t she appointed to Secretary of the Treasury? Oh yeah that right. She’s a woman. A Republican. And probably paid her taxes. That’s three strikes against her in the Barky Administration.

    • Doc99

With all the tax cheats in the present government, it’s a pity Al Capone isn’t around to enjoy this. He’d fit right in.

    • Ani

Yes, I wanted Sheila Bair also. Heaven forfend we hire someone who knows what they are doing – regardless of party.

i think he has been reincarnated,,lol..

I sent letters to both of my U.S. Senators, Kerry and Kennedy – I know – urging them not to consent to Mr. Geithner as Secretary of the Treasury, detailing the reasons why. Here is the response I received from Senator Kennedy.

    Dear :

Thank you for your recent correspondence on the nomination of Timothy Geithner to be Secretary of the Treasury. I’m delighted that Congress has confirmed him for this important position in President Obama’s administration.

I supported Mr. Geithner’s nomination, and I support him as Secretary of the Treasury, because he is the right person to lead our economic recovery during these challenging times. He’s dedicated his career to our country and served it with honor, intelligence and diligence as chief executive officer of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York and in the Department of the Treasury. Mr. Geithner has a unique combination of experience and skill to guide our country’s economic, financial and fiscal policy in the right direction in these difficult economic times.

Like a large majority of my colleagues in the Senate, I was disappointed by the errors found in Secretary Geithner’s tax returns and other information, but we were satisfied that these problems were entirely incorrect, and that he had taken the steps necessary to correct them. We also felt that his ability, background, and extensive experience in dealing with the extraordinary complexities of the financial sector made him especially well-qualified to lead the Treasury Department at this difficult time, and he was confirmed by a vote of 60-34 in the Senate.

Thank you for your letter on this important issue.

    Sincerely,
    Edward M. Kennedy

    • Citizen70

Gee, at least you got a response from these two – more than I received. Barney Frank is the only one who responds to me.

What does it mean “….we were satisfied that these problems were entirely incorrect,…”? That’s a non-sensical comment. Also, his background, as the NY Fed head, is part of why we’re in this mess!!

      • jbjd

I got nothing back from Senator Kerry. Not surprising. I wanted to go to his district office but, he had no office hours posted. In fact, his Senate web site had not been updated since before the general election. However, this week, he has begun holding office hours – or his staff will hold office hours – in every city in the state. I know this because the local news broadcast this as news!

I think the poorly written statement you cite might have been in response to my charge that the man who failed to pay his taxes should not be in charge of my Treasury. Evidently, the Senator agrees non-payment of taxes is “incorrect.”

By the way, anyone facing criminal charges resulting from non-payment of taxes might file an equal protection claim. ‘If Secretary Geithner not paying his taxes is only “incorrect” then why is my not paying my taxes criminal?’

    • elise

They really pay attention to the people, don’t they?

  • EWard

    Larry

    Great description of Geithner!

I listened to his answers twice. He repeated three times that they “inherited” the problem and used the phrase “sustainable” over 5 times. In other words, he never answered the Congressman’s questions – where is the money coming from? -global economy? – will China keep buying our debt?

Obama and Geithner keep citing false figures – pro-growth and favorable to small businesses….

Don’t individuals with small businesses own a home or have investments in stocks/401K? Obama is choosing to reduce the mortgage interest reduction and increase the capital gains tax….

Obama has declared a war on our prosperity – his energy policies – Cap & Trade, no nuclear power, no off-shore drilling will increase utility and gasoline rates – and somehow we are to believe Geithner that there is no “undue burden” on individuals earning less than $250,000….

The Dow is plummeting because Obama’s policies are designed to destroy capitalisim.

  • EWard

    Larry

Can you rescue my post from the cellar?

  • JulieD

Wow! Great call on Doogie Howser, Larry! It is the same guy.

At first I thought a tax cheat was a bad choice, but now that I know he’s the youngest doctor ever…

Seriously, Geithner is one bad actor.

  • beachnan

Obama’s administration looks like amateur hour. Of course, the exception is Hillary, who everything you would expect of an SOS. Geitner looks like he’s in training, and the wheels are about to come off. Honestly, it’s questionable whether or not the man knows what he’s doing. The problem is, his boss knows even less than he does. We are in BIG TROUBLE.

  • imustprotest

That was a really scary clip.

  • elise

I got the impression he had practiced what he was going to say, including hand gestures, in front of a mirror and wasn’t going to be distracted by actually answering the questions. Why couldn’t he just answer? I’m so afraid it’s because he doesn’t have a clue where the financing will come from, but if he were sure China would put up more, he would have said so.

  • http://www.lesstalkmoreactivism.blogspot.com whoframedrudy

“Where is the money coming from, Mr. Secretary?”

    “Blah blah blah”

“Mr. Secretary, my question was, where is the money coming from?”

    “I repeat, blah blah blah.”

  • I’m a Linda too

    WTF TIMMY? What was THAT?
