It is amazing! All these brain-washed anti-socialist fools are nothing but mouthpieces for the great capitalist corporations who Really rule and control the US. Do they have any understanding of what Free Market Socialism truly is? With idiots like these, and a well-oiled, (read funded), propaganda system, the Robber Barons of Capitalism will be able to milk the ignorang American public for untill nothing is left to milk. Every government of every industrialised country in Europe today has some form of Socialist philosophy. Indeed, only Switzerland and Japan are exceptions and they are beneficent Fascist nations, which works for them. So way up, Amaricans! Quit being lackeys!

if people listened to Elizabeth Warren instead of Suzy Orman we wouldn't be in the mess we are now.
For families looking for ways to cope, Warren mainly offer palliatives: Buy a cheaper house. Squirrel away a six-month cash cushion. And this was 2005

You've put words in her mouth she didn't say.
'JOHN is not a dead-beat, a bum, a liar or a cheat! Yet he is on the edge of losing his home too!'

Orman doesn't say he's on the brink of losing his home. What she says is he's worried if he can keep it. Nothing is said about his current financial situation. It could be that like the rest of the country, he's just wondering if he'll be able to continue making enough to pay his mortgage. She never said he was behind on payments, in eviction proceedings, nothing. You're inflating what Orman reported as a casual conversation which shows the average person is worried - not bankrupt. Never did she say anyone or any bank had impugned his character.

Our economy is bad enough without folks such as yourself making things scarier than they really are or than they appear to be.

I totally tuned Suzie out ever since I heard and saw her "slobbering" over how great a President Obama would make. Sorry, but when someone thinks like that and expresses it on TV, I find it very difficult to believe anything they say anymore....but anyway, I do the channel change whenever I see her on TV now. TG for remotes!

I agree with the poster above who delineates the steps to socialism. I believe this is a manufactured crisis to ram Obama down the nation's collective throat. Anyone remember the way the waste-of-life was tanking until the sky fell? I believe the asshole dems running Congress (Dodd and Frank had to know this was coming in banking and housing, yes?) I believe they could have taken action to stop it, but were told not to in order to MANUFACTURE A CRISIS by fall which would be used to ram Obama into office and hoodwink and bamboozle the American people into willingly handing over their life savings to a bunch of self-righteous treasonous pigs who defecate on the Constitution every day. It's a f#cking disgrace, watching so much of America kissing the ring of the man who most enabled the raping of their grandchildren and the death of all that real Americans hold dear.

A logical and insightful person would look at the political leanings of the persons who raised Obama, the influence of the socialist/communist/marxist mentors he worships. The fact that he was essentially raised as muslim, his earliest memories burned into his psyche are not Christian or American. The fact this guy got elected is beyond explanation IMO.

Many Americans think of the government like it is Santa Claus, or at least something a part from us. The fact is that this economic crisis is not the result simply of greedy people on Wall Street. It is the result of the choices Americans, as individuals, have made over a period of time. We don't save; we spend. We don't make; we consume. We don't think about others; we think about ourselves. We don't conserve; we waste. We don't plan for the future; we live for our immediate gratification. People bought houses they couldn't afford, cashed in the equity on their houses for silly reasons and got politicians to force the banks into enabling this childish conduct. This economic crisis didn't just magically come about. It is here, because of the contribution each of us has made. The government shouldn't have to bale us out, like a parent picking up a kid at the police station after a night of drunk driving. Wall Street, credit card companies, political parties, American industry and each individual has to think and to own up to the part each has played in getting here. We all have to change that destructive conduct. Until then, we are just going to spin our wheels and eventually we will lose our standing as the world's wealthiest and most prosperous country. That is what happened to Holland, Spain and Great Britain before us. Each American needs to work on this problem or we can watch China surpass us as the leading economic force in the world....

Suze Orman has been railing against the credit card companies for years and with good reason. It is nothing more than legalized loan sharking.

I still think the FICO score is a rigged system. The credit agencies are in bed with the creditors much similar to the bond rating agencies were in bed with the investment bankers.

Yesterday the market went up largely based on optimism about China. What nonsense, were China’s biggest customer not we're not buying. China has closed 17,000 factories leaving 20 million Chinese unemployed. This trend will continue meaning China will probably become unstable so they won't be financing our debt when they're going to have internal security problems.

This means we are spiraling further into a deep hole. Turn on the printing presses and watch the purchasing power of your dollar fall through the floor. If you need something, buy it now prices will never be better. Buy gold, it will lose it value at a slower rate than currencies. In the coming months don't be surprised if there isn't shortages of the basics; food, fuel and daily necessities so stock up on dry goods. Guns and ammunition always retain there value. Is that a scary scenario? Darn right, but its happening.

Marxist plan:
1) Nationalize the banks (effectively already done)
2) Destroy personal wealth (almost done)
3) Control the food supply
4) Declare marshal law and suspend elections.

Couldn't happen? You tell me.

BRAVO Susan! The Government is supporting loansharking credit card corporations and banks while people suffer.

The real reason people can't pay their mortgages? Credit card interest 30% and pay day loans 150%.

Yeah, let's bail out those poor banks.
