UPDATE: YOU TELL ME, Mssrs. Obama and Axelrod, why my adult daughter has to read this horrific stuff at soc.men, a Google group, in support of YOUR candidacy? I demand you tell your followers to stop THIS NOW, and apologize to women everywhere. I pray none of them is a father, brother, uncle, grandfather. (I’m not censoring this. This is AS it appears.)

If that t-shirt said, “Ho’s Before Bro’s,” you can bet that MSNBCCNNFAUX would be all over it, and demanding a statement from Sen. Clinton’s campaign. This is repugnant to me. It is proof of the sexism still rampant in this country. It sickens me. I feel hopeless about it.
And while we’re discussing the hopelessness of clearing up the attacks on Sen. Clinton, let’s get into these:

Hillary, you are a hawk in a dress, and your move to New York to become a Senator and wage this campaign was sad, sorry and obvious, and you only feed the right wing machine. You have nothing to offer, yet take in millions (in big chunks) to spread your hollow messages about experience and how much you care about and have done for Texas and Ohio (at the moment). BACK TO THE ORIGINAL:
There’s an excellent top-recommended diary at MyDD: “Obama camp needs to apologize to Clinton over Photo.”
The photo was scanned from an early February National Enquirer by a freeper at Free Republic, and e-mailed to Matt Drudge on SATURDAY. I saw it linked at numerous conservative blogs via Memeorandum.com on SUNDAY. Drudge is in on the Rove playbook to denigrate Hillary and promote Obama because the GOP wants to face him in the general selection so he sat on the photo until Monday morning when he could “spin” it as coming from Hillary’s camp, which it did not.
This is a non-issue for Sen. Clinton. But MSNBC is treating it as if it were fact that it comes from Sen. Clinton’s campaign. Even Bob Shrum — who probably wants a job with the Obama campaign — was on MSNBC this morning promoting it as coming from Clinton.
Do any of those pundits ever mention it was published in a tabloid sold NATIONWIDE in supermarkets and drug stores and convenience stores? That millions of Americans had already purchased that magazine and seen that photo? Do they ever mention any of that? No — they just speculate about it coming from Clinton’s campaign.
Who can prevail against such inanity? And, really, against such cruelly biased venality?
Who can survive when all kinds of dubious and troubling associations are given a free pass — from Antoin Rezko to William Ayers? When Bob Shrum stabs you in the back just to get a favorable “view” for the other guy’s campaign?

Lastly, I finally read the 2001 New York Times article on Bill Ayers’ unrepentant career as a terrorist, “No Regrets for a Love Of Explosives; In a Memoir of Sorts, a War Protester Talks of Life With the Weathermen.”
In that absorbing article, Ayers quotes from a favorite poem:
And if there were another Vietnam, he is asked, would he participate again in the Weathermen bombings?
By way of an answer, Mr. Ayers quoted from ”The Cure at Troy,” Seamus Heaney’s retelling of Sophocles’ ”Philoctetes:” ” ‘Human beings suffer,/ They torture one another./ They get hurt and get hard.’ ”
He continued to recite:
History says, Don’t hope
On this side of the grave.
But then, once in a lifetime
The longed-for tidal wave
Of justice can rise up
And hope and history rhyme.
Thinking back on his life , Mr. Ayers said, ”I was a child of privilege and I woke up to a world on fire. And hope and history rhymed.”
Hope and history.
He’s just another dope for hope. With bombs.
