First of all, Kevin Conwell is an absolute idiot and every bit the droid. He sounded like some sort of robot. When he said Obama has a "sensitive ear to help the people" I just about passed out from laughter because those are some pretty strong looking ears he's got on that head of his. Congressman Miller just had more details, sounded more sensible, sane, etc. I'm going to send him an email right now as well and I'll see if I can make a small donation to his campaign. Someone mentioned on a blog that she was having a difficult time finding accurate information on the web doing a search for Hillary Clinton’s legislative achievements. She tried a few different searches and all of them turned up results that were neither what she was looking for or accurate information. Instead she was directed to pages of “opinions” of her legislative achievements and all of them slanted against her. This practice is called Goggle bombing and it is an affront to our democracy.

Of course Tweety didn't put the guy on the spot. He's already embarrassed one Mr. Hope supporter within the last week. He can't expose them all for their lack of substance. I saw that segment last night and kept waiting for Tweety to ask Conwell specifics about Mr. Hope’s policies because it was so obvious the man has no freakin’ clue about any of them. Side by side, Eugene Miller made such an impassioned, heartfelt, personal, and very compelling case for his support of Senator Clinton. Conversely, Conwell was not so compelling, and dare I say...lacking in passion and belief in his own candidate. He appeared to be trying to convince himself of his enthusiasm for Obama, parroting everything Miller said about Clinton--sort of like how Obama parrots Clinton and follows her lead with his responses on most critical issues. Miller said he's up for re-election next week. If I can, I'm donating to his campaign as he impressed me with his sincerity in his dedication to his constituents in Ohio and his decency of character. We didn't have a woman running back then but she asked me why we didn't have women presidents in this country. I have sadly had the same conversation with two of my granddaughters. I now have two great-granddaughters. I hope I don't live long enough to have the same conversation with them. It's not that the same conversation won't be happening in households all across this country for years to come, I just don't want to have to keep trying to find something to excuse the fact that this is a sexist nation.
