New Yorker Clinton has won the support of at least one high-profile Texan. “Desperate Housewives” star Eva Longoria Parker, a Corpus Christi native who is married to pro basketball player Tony Parker of the San Antonio Spurs, has given Clinton her endorsement. Longoria Parker and actress Melanie Griffith will attend a town hall that Clinton is holding for voters on Monday in Austin.

I know this is a puff type showbiz piece, particularly in light of Larry’s hard hitting and serious “Are We Preparing to Start a New War in the ME” – but Eva is a bona fide Texan. And a very high profile one at that. It could well make the difference there.
And her being married to NBA superstar Dave Parker of the San Antonio Spurs sure doesn’t hurt.

    And kudos to Jack Nicholson!

I think women – especially those of star and screen (Jack counts as well…) – have realized now is the time to voice their support before Clinton is unabashedly out-spent and media -drowned by the Obama/Axelrod campaign in Texas and Ohio…

I mean really, why hasn’t the press voiced their suspicion of Axelrod’s total knowledge of how to spin the media based on his long career as a journalist? Sure Clinton has phat-cats behind her, but Axelrod has been compared to Karl Rove!
Axelrod is described as Obama’s answer to Karl Rove and the most powerful political consultant not on a coast.

Hey media! Listen up! You’re being took by the same tools and methods that you earn your daily bread by! Get tough and take old’ Axelpants to the mat!

I understand that Obama has purchased two minute ads – as opposed to 30 second spots. That is a longass ad.

Or, in other words, they are being banboozled…

And hoodwinked. It is wonderful to see Hillary finally have her supporters step up so quickly. I think that the Obama people thought they could walk over us out here and we knew we had to act fast and man we did. When I look at how long Obama has been at this and also the fact that John Kerry handed him a data base of supporters as well the Democratic Party has to take a huge step back now.

Obama said he has just over 1,000,000 supporters online and he has been at this now for over 14 months. John Kerry kept a data base of over 3,000,000 supporters that he handed over to Obama. That was a gold mine. So Obama had a HUGE HANDOUT! That’s called Political Welfare right! I know because I began getting the emails from them but I’m a Clinton supporter and I sent them emails back telling them exactly what I thought of an UNQUALIFIED CANDIDATE.

So with the Political Welfare of Kerry and a 14 month lead time Obama has only 1,000,000 supporters online right. Now Hillary after people found out what was going on got 300,000 new online supporters in one month. THAT IS NO BIG SURPRISE! They got a new web master THANK GOD and the fundraising doubled online!

Next I’d also point out that the Obama people haven’t actually come out with a number yet and no one knows for sure what the amount is for sure for February. I’d be curious if he really got $50 million or if that number is real!

It wouldn’t be a surprise if he might have loaned his campaign money or Oprah may have given him a personal loan to loan his campaign that money. Or maybe Oprah is giving money to people to give his campaign that money? I saw people that are being employed by his campaign just to vote for him? What is up with that? Can you change states and vote in different states?

I got them too…and I’m Canadian. So, he must have given him EVERY single addy.

        • barbh

sheesh I got phone calls, I cussed them out the last time they called and told them for the second time not to call me again, betcha they do though. They had to have gotten my phone# from the Kerry campaign, one thing I am very guarded about giving out – my phone number, lot of times I just give time of day for my phone #….

I know exactly what you are saying…the “looser” that blew our election last time was sending me emails and letters as well…after he endorsed Obama, I basically told him to take his letters, emails and all and put them where the sun doesn’t shine..and..because he is from my state and up for re-election, I told him look for me holding Ogonowski’s sign because I sure as hell would not ever again cast a vote for him..

Carol Alt, the famous model (god is she stunning), was on Geraldo tonight. She is SO for Hillary. She said we need something besides male in the White House. Very cool.

Geraldo reairs at 9pm and 1am PST. He does a long interview of Tavis Smiley on that national conference in New Orleans last Saturday. Obama didn’t show up at the nat’l conf. for blacks. But Hillary showed up. It’s a good interview, and Smiley is very good on the campaign.

In the SNL post above, I posted a video of Dr. Cornell West at that conf. last Saturday. It’s great. Watch it.

        Thanks Susan. ;)

        • Sam

The Cornell West video surprised me. I thought he had endorsed Obama a long time ago. I guess I was mistaken.

          • chris

Exactly, Dr. West asks the right questions. He didn’t slam Obama though, he made distinctions and brought direct attention to the issue at hand, who is backing this guy.

Ellen needs to get into action…NOW.

Did I read that her ratings are giving O a run for the money?

Eva’s cool. She spoke out against Bush when her career was just getting into high gear.

  • mimi

THANK YOU EVA!!! I’m going over to the Desperate Housewives Board and leave her a note.

And thanks to both Melanie and of course, ‘gotta love Jack N.

    • Taters

Amen, Mimi. Wouldn’t it be nice if Antonio Banderas accompanied his wife to TX?

  • http://NoQuarterUSA.net Larry Johnson

Nice contribution Taters. Too bad they don’t have you down there playing the guitar. Really class up the place. Thanks for sharing.

    • Taters
