The question was one of curiousity. I don’t have a nickel in the quarter of party politics. Just wondering how the insiders ON BOTH SIDES view this.

I was watching Fox last night (Bill hemmer) interviewing a group of 20 dems on what they thought of the candidates.
They were using emo-meters etc on ads and statements..then they were asked about the “EXPERIENCE” question said they know Obama does not have the Experience but ” if he surrounds him self with experienced people” he will be ok. One man in the group said “experience doesn’t matter”.

George Bush surround him self with experienced people and look where that got us. I don’t believe Obama would, if elected, appoint a republican to any post unless some serious money changed hands “off shore”. He comes from the “pay to Play” school of Politics.

It can be trendy, though, especially the way entertainers like Bill Maher employ it.

I can also attest that it is often a cop-out when black and white smears to gray.

I think I was also wondering about the left-wingers like moveon.org and all these rabid liberal bloggers who have been name-calling Republicans for the last few years. This was posted on the HuffPo yesterday. And it hasn’t been denied. Obama has also professed love for Bloomberg as a VP. Color me curious. I’ll just have to wait to see how this plays out.

It doesn’t change anything for me about Obama. I don’t believe he’s experienced or prepared and I don’t need another president dependent-heavy on advisers. I need a someone who has an astute command of all situations. I don’t hate all Repubs and don’t love all Democrats. Ted Kennedy is on my contempt list as is John Kerry.

Bloomberg has the money to pour in to a campaign as VP. I believe I saw an article in RCP hinting that all candidates could consider him as VP because of this.

I think that 99% of the time, public cynicism is a sop to the trendy and a total cop-out. Funny how “all politicians are BS artists and crooks,” the favorite rant of overweight, beer-swilling ignoramuses from before the days of Will Rogers and Mark Twain, is now seen as “edgy” because it’s being proclaimed by “hip” young college-educated narcissts with three-days beard growth (not shallow enough to care about their appearence, you see) or by washed-up comedians desparately trying to convince their dwindling audiences that they are still “cool” (Bill Maher and George Carlin definitely fall in with the latter group.)

And those people who write Lou Dobbs to “proudly” proclaim they’ve switched their registration to “Independent?” Wow, real impressive. That accomplishes so, so much. Me, I switched recently from 2% to 1% fat content milk. You didn’t see me writing to Lou Dobbs about it though.
