Yes, this is the way we described the said 'manager' during our fight to take him out office. I watched people deify him. I have almost 20 years basic management experience, and time after time I pointed out what a "manager" would do instead of a boyking. He worked hard to solidify his cadre. He slowly fired resistance one by one, or made it impossible for them to operate. He worked based on paranoia and suspicion.

Yes, he was just like George W Bush, but worse. At least George W Bush didn't spend so much time with the incense and kumbayah.

"Petty Autocrat"

That's a very telling story. But, it reminds me of someone...hmmm....let me think: Oh, yeah. George W. Bush.

Remember the theme of the 2000 election? He was a "uniter" not a "divider." He was the guy most Americans said they "wanted to have a beer with..."

<strong>Look what we got: A "petty autocrat." </strong>

Now, I <strong>want</strong> to believe that Barack Obama could be a great president, and leader of the Democratic Party--because, let's face it, the president is the defacto leader of his or her particular political party.

<strong>But, I have trouble with believing that Barack Obama would represent the Democratic Party if he were elected</strong>.

In my view, he has shown me that he would represent only his own best interests. That equates to taking Democrats for granted while he capitulates to Republicans. After all, he's earned delegates based on independents, who normally would be voting Republican; and on Republican cross-over voting. Who is his constituency?

Sen. Clinton has earned delegates based on winning the majority of Democratic votes during this primary.

I thought the fact that Barack Obama said he was <strong>"too busy" campaigning to attend the State of the Black Union conference [SOBU] in New Orleans--while Clinton did attend</strong>--very telling too. It was sort of a metaphor for the bigger picture:

Here's a candidate who has earned delegates by huge turnouts of black voters. Yet, the largest gathering of black leaders, where thousands attend, is dismissed? That is what I'm talking about. This man is all about himself.

He was "too busy." Too busy for his supporters at the SOBU; "too busy" for the soldiers serving in Afghanistan to hold a hearing on them; "too busy" to attend Veteran's Administration hearings, or votes; "too busy" to answer questions about Rezko.

<strong>He was "too busy" to help his constituents in Illinois because he was running for the Senate. He's too busy to hold hearings in the Senate because he's running for president. He'll be "too busy" being fabulous as president to care about America, too.

Try this link, also from rezkowatch.blogspot.com.

The Chicago papers seem a lot more hip to the Obama tricks, as well as those of his campaign manager, David Axlerod.

Beechwood Reporter also has a pretty funny video about a spurned Tony Rezko, lamenting rejection.

Wow. That is quite a story. And you've nailed it on Obama. I dare you to post that as a diary at DailyKos. They will go ballistic. But someday -- I anticipate -- it'll hit them that they supported a guy who's almost all about the green and the win.

Dana Milbank
"When those failed, Obama tried another approach. "We're running late," the candidate said, and then he disappeared behind a curtain"

Yes, how poetic can you be to describe the Myth, The Legend, The Puff of Smoke.....POOF

Then you gotta love the line from NYDailyNews:
Obama: "Come on! I just answered, like, eight questions,"

Ok, Obamatons, here's your "new" face of politics....er...wait...new? He doesn't want to answer..er...EIGHT QUESTIONS...oh lord. What is he going to do in front of the White House gaggle? Helen Thomas is going to cause him an Aneurism!

This is how I experienced a failed manager here in Houston, who I will not further describe outside of the comparisons to Obama.

Said manager was chosen by a board to manage a very special organization to the progressive community. The organization had been wrestled from the corporate predators who had been dismantling its roots in the peace and justice movement of the US. And little by little it was being turned into a for profit type entity.

But after a famous lawsuit, this organization was able to head back to its roots. A new manager was crowned and this seemed like "turning the page" to most involved. At first it was 'amazing', 'truly revolutionary' and 'inspiring'. But in time the crown seemed to be tarnished brass instead of gold and the manager messiah had become a pariah to all but a few very loyal insiders.

We began to see him manipulate perceptions of what he was doing and insulating himself from criticism. He was joined by opportunist voices who wanted the organization to fulfill their petty political wishes. Most wanted to remain on the board no matter what the cost. Their future was directly tied to his future. If he was gone, they'd be gone.

Those of us who once believed in his incense kumbayah message were finally exposed to a petty autocrat. His message of hope became more and more narrow in its scope. You were either for him or against him.

What I notice as a similarity is the appeal for moving on, for transformative politics, and especially the appeal to my idealism and sense of a better day. But what I got in the end was calculated maneuvers that chiseled away at any resistance and criticism.

I have to admit, he ultimately whipped the ass of his critics because they left the non-profit organization after they couldn't get him thrown out. The organization is safe in its mediocrity. It is a neutered entity that will never acheive its goal of an egalitarian society. Now they can go about their business without the ruffians who make a dynamic really grow.

The comparison centers on the way both men handled their anger and how it was a contrast to their publicly displayed faces. Each was truly passive aggressive and at their root are very mysogynistic and arrogant. They both shared the "love" and "light" message when it suited them, and then became petty bickering meely mouths when confronted with a controversy. They both point to some adversary to blame and were never to blame, unless taking the blame made them look more noble. I know that martyr trip too.

Sometimes if you apply the occasional mea culpa in the right places shallow people applaud you. But it isn't a sign of integrity. It is manipulation in the end. The easiest way to deflect attention to your faults is to preview faults in a confined and preset manner. But it won't fool the wise who see through you.

The man behind the curtain has been seen by many now, and the man in front of the curtain has "disappeared behind a curtain" again.

Obama, get ready to have your long overdue criticism.

Seems like maybe Mr. Teflon isn't so non-stick after all. Don't expect the Boys Club over at MSNBC to change their tune. They cannot or will not see women as equals.(Threatens their manhood perhaps?) The misogynistic way they have handled this campaign has shown a bright white light on their sexist ways and women ignore it at their peril.

Many of those on the left have allowed Obama to be the Teflon candidate and have joined in the Clinton bashing because they don't like her. Maybe they don't want girls in their club either. This lack of integrity has shown that they aren't very much different, if at all, than the MSM they were supposedly superior too. Maybe in their own minds but certainly not in their words and deeds.

It is to be hoped that there will be some balance going forward but I'm not gonna believe it until I see it. I've been disappointed before, I've been lied to before, I've been bullshitted before and I am just too cynical (or clear-sighted?) to think that these leopards are going to ever change their spots.

Maybe they don’t want girls in their club either. This lack of integrity has shown that they aren’t very much different, if at all, than the MSM they were supposedly superior too. Maybe in their own minds but certainly not in their words and deeds.

It is to be hoped that there will be some balance going forward but I’m not gonna believe it until I see it. I’ve been disappointed before, I’ve been lied to before, I’ve been bullshitted before and I am just too cynical (or clear-sighted?) to think that these leopards are going to ever change their spots.

<blockquote>Question is, GE and Westinghouse, owners of CBS and NBC, how will they turn their media corps out for the remainder of the campaign, more and stronger bias or will they now level the field?</blockquote>

                  <strong> No.</strong>

Yes Hillary is getting warmed up now!

Question is, GE and Westinghouse, owners of CBS and NBC, how will they turn their media corps out for the remainder of the campaign, more and stronger bias or will they now level the field?
