Good day,

How are you today my Friend? I hope by the Grace of the Almighty God, you are well as I am.

By brief introduction, I am Mr. Bernard Pimpong, I work with the Ghana oil pipe line construction project commission. I am the Personal Assistant to the contract award committee Chairman, in charge of allocating oil pipe line contracts. This commission was recently introduced after the recent discovery of crude oil in a very Commercial quantity, and was launched last year, when the Ex-president of United States Mr. Bush visited Ghana. The Ghana Oil Pipeline commission, are giving out multi-million dollar pipeline contracts to foreign investors, and with the aid of the united nations, 33% upfront of total contract sum will be given to the foreign contractors who are successful in getting approved for the contract.

Being the PA to the contract award committee chairman, I am very much in the position to include your name or company name as one of the nominated foreign contractors to secure a multi-million dollar contract. Immediately we get your name approved, you will be paid 33% upfront of the total contract sum. I will indeed be glad if you can immediately call me on my private direct line, So I can brief you in details what we both stand to benefit from this great business opportunity. I Will be expecting to hear from you today. Delay is not encouraged, as every top government official is interested in bringing their own foreign investors. I look forward to hear from you soon.

Best Regards,

Dear

This letter may come as a surprise to you but after much consideration to the good recommendation made concerning you, we were left with no options than to contact with you.

My name is Mr. Tony Greg, the first son of Late Dr. Greg Richmond. Erstwhile governor of the central Bank of Sierra-Leone who unfortunately was among the casualties of the political crisis, which savaged the nation for the period of ten Years.

Before his untimely death (via execution by the government) he informed us that while he was still the central bank Governor, he used his influence and position to lift some boxes containing$8.8 MILLION out of the country, this he deposited with a certain security company based in ACCRA GHANA. According to him, when depositing the boxes, he declared to the management of the company that the contents were his family valuables; this is to ensure the safety of the funds.

We have already arrived in Accra-Ghana because our country has somehow become un-habitable for us, we decided to solicit for assistance for the following reasons.

1.To transfer the funds in foreign account

2.Assist us to invest the funds/recycling

3.Act as our foreign partner and to also register all the investments in your name .

We will like to know more about you and also discuss how you will be compensated for your assistance .

We will in due time forward to you the documents covering the deposits for your perusal. As no one knows our present location, we implore you to treat this with utmost secrecy. We anticipate your most urgent response.

While it's all very well to say "get the military bases out of other countries," does anyone realize that whole communities are built around these overseas military basis and what sort of unemployment could result with a drastic pull out. I personally know this as I have many relatives living overseas who have been dependent on these U.S. military bases for jobs - either actual or auxiliary. With the global economic meltdown I don't think closing down any more jobs is the answer. My two cents worth.

I think there are 3 issues here
1)BO's complete dishonesty when running for President with his anti-war platform that bamboozled so many young people.
2)Many countries through the centuries have learned the hard way that Afghanistan is a losing battle for invaders or do-gooders.
3)BO will be sending REAL men and women over there. Just last night my 31 year old co worker told me her husband was being recalled(he's in the Marines) and will be headed to Afghanistan in August. This is not good, people.

I've been howling for a long time that we have no business being in Afghanistan. Look at the awful Russian experience, and they finally withdrew. We are only risking our soldiers' lives in a country where tribal wars have gone on for centuries and will for centuries after we finally leave. We can't handle that terrain and we don't understand the culture and the nature of the border wars. Why do we have to solve all the problems around the world militarily when we are in such trouble at home, and nobody respects our efforts anyway? Let's get out now!

By contrast, China has NO troops outside their country except for about 300 or so that went to Iraq.

So what you are implying is that China is a better country to live in.

Obama is increasing troop strength in Afghanistan specifically to try and finish the job against Al Qaeda and the Taliban.

Might I remind you what these people did here. Why you are feeling bad about our soldiers who have lost their lives or who have been tramatically injured in war, what do you think the role of the military is?

There were over 3000 American lives lost in one day in the worst terror attack in history. the remnants of the people who did that, and would do it again, are still in Afghanistan and Pakistan.

Based on what you are saying you would rather leave them alone and hope they don't hurt us again. I don't think that is what you really mean.

An unfortunate fact of human civilization is that war happens for a variety of reasons and military strength does prevent wars.
