I personally know this as I have many relatives living overseas who have been dependent on these U.S. military bases for jobs - either actual or auxiliary. With the global economic meltdown I don't think closing down any more jobs is the answer. My two cents worth. Just last night my 31 year old co worker told me her husband was being recalled(he's in the Marines) and will be headed to Afghanistan in August. This is not good, people.
