A twist here and a twist there…

I had the same response when I saw Obama in 2004 – I said to my partner that he would be president someday after he had more experience. Never in my wildest dreams did I expect the DNC to so blatantly support this newcomer with a paper thin resume over a far, far more qualified field (Hillary way at the top, of course). Like you, as I learned more abt him, the more I began to dislike him…

I was one of those far left liberals – have been all my life. Belonged to Move-On.org, the whole thing. I hated that we invaded Iraq since they had NOTHING to do with 9/11 – there was so much hypocrisy in that entire decision making process (I remember the Bush Admin. trying to get General Clark, for whom I have a lot of respect, say that the Iraqis were responsible for 9/11 so they could wage war). Afghanistan was one thing, Iraq a whole other matter.

But when I started to see how these people were acting, how the DNC, my only party affiliation my entire life, was acting, the raging sexism, misogyny, homophobia, thuggery, cheating, and just downright lack of fair play by the Obama camp and the DNC, my ethics compelled me to leave the Party on 5/31. That was the day the DNC made it clear it did not care abt our fundamental right to cast a vote and have it count. That is, it ceased being democratic. I knew I couldn’t stay.

That they are now acting even more like that 25% of rabid Bush supporters (the ones who claimed everyone was un-American and Un-Patriotic if we didn’t support Bush) does not surprise me one little bit. I expected it.

And I think it is all abt them. They will NEVER admit that they were had. They just can’t take that blow to their ego, as my friend, Nunly, said today. It is all abt them, and not the woefully inadequate, unprepared Obama.

i guess a lot of “progressive” women think that that’s what they deserve; kind of like a beating by their favorite rap star.

Look, I don’t miss GW or Dick Cheney. Thought both were a disaster. But you know what? They took the heat.

This group of Democrats are so-o-o-o incredibly thin-skinned. The idea that any voter is to fall on their knees, strike a prostrate pose for every utterance of any president is absurd. It’s particularly absurd with a man who is clearly [and predictably] flailing around and in over his head.

So, excuse me if I feel no sympathy for the Obamatrons who were beyond vile during the primary and the GE.

What did they expect? A benediction??

Except for all of us, of course, but I guess we’re not self-loathing enough.
