I was just going to venture something about graduate education being less thoroughly grounded in analytical training through exposure to a breadth as well as depth of serious material than maybe it used to be, when NPR’s news voice informed me that some digital devices might have to be reset manually to Daylight Savings Time this morning.

Who knows, maybe it’s the everyday basics that are missing, rather than a genuine understanding of Hume and Foucault. Maybe we should resurrect Baldassare Castiglione, who certainly understood discretion.

I’d really rather not live through that again, even with a govt not in ruins, which is not what we’ll be having.

The mocking of Obama’s light from the sky worked into that theme and mental battle. She was like mom chiding her kid.

…and you’ve got Obama beaten psychologically.

McCain literally would be the Authoritarian dad he never had. Will he not be able to out muscle the old man?

Ultimately, thought, Obama accepted, most likely bribes, from some HEINOUS men.

And I’m of the opinion, in the end, we all know the difference between right and wrong, no matter what our parents did.

So, how do you manipulate that, or do you just tell the truth about Obama, and his decisions, his judgement?

I mean, at a certain point he has to show people he understands what is happening here, and he fails, each and every time.

Color me unimpressed, and appalled at his lack of intellect.

Everything he “achieved” was handed to him, from his admit to Harvard, to his IL senate seat, to the IL policy he was falsely credited with creating, to the house he is living in, to the bribes he may have taken, through Rezko.

And why do they want to put this man in the Presidency?

How the hell does someone like Russ Feingold or John Kerry buy into this shit?

The same director — Alex Gabney — did “Taxi To the Dark Side,” which won the Oscar last week. I wrote up a couple stories here about that documentary. Both of my stories link to other great stories on “Taxi.” The executive producer — I only learned the night of the Oscars — is Sidney Blumenthal, who was in the Clinton White House and whose fantastic book (The Clinton Wars) I’m still reading (albeit slowly because I’m on the net too much). I think he is also some kind of adviser to Hillary’s campaign. Unlike SOME PEOPLE, he is very loyal, best I’ve heard.

I get tired of men who avoid responsibility. This entire incident is Samantha Power’s fault or by translation Hillary’s fault. Anybody but Obama.

The same with Nafta, he’ll blame the Clinton campaign, the entire Canadian government, the press, but he won’t take responsibility for his own boneheaded actions.

Speaking of boneheaded, his 17 year relationship with Rezko, his property deal, none of it is his fault either.

With this attitude we’re going to wind up with another president just like Bush. It’s not his fault either, he just suffers from faulty intelligence. When you do not take responsibility there can be no accountability.
