Pat Buchanan Makes Sense & Open Thread

Que pasa, senoritas, senoras and senors? Seniors too.

Obama and his team lied all throughout the campaign and got away with it; was allowed to get away with it. It seems they think they have proven that they can do it over and over again and get away with it. I just pray that enough people have begun doubting and will have the courage to scrutinize and question their statements and actions. Whether their actions reflect their words and vice versa.

Obama rams the stimulus bill through Congress. He didn’t want Congress to read his lousy bills that are destroying our nation’s wealth.

Obama lies and then presents his phony ignorance about things that he created. This is transparency? Memo to Obama – Impeachment is next!

    Amen to the previous poster!

Let’s hope the con man’s lucky streak changes soon.

Bob Shrum is an idiot and an Obama apologist. I’ve had some interaction with him last year and couldn’t stand listening to his excuses after 10 minutes. Buchanan makes more sense than any liberal right now which shows you how far the Democratic Party has fallen.

    I’m in moderation…

  • ridin’ dirty

A pox on every Democrat that foisted Obama on us thus enabling a world where Pat Buchanan makes perfect sense.

And Shrum plays the “McCarthyism” card…what a clown.

Well, to tell the truth, Pat Buchanan started making sense to me back when he was one of the few media voices who opposed our invasion of Iraq. Buchanan is also no spokesman for the republican party.

During the primaries, he was also one of the few who defended Hillary and understood how her campaign connected with people. I recall him saying that you can now talk about “Hillary” Democrats.

  • getfitnow

We can call it BO’s bill–he is the POTUS, but this Pelosi/Reid’s bill. I believe more every day that BO is a front man–nothing more. Hence the teleprompter ’cause he doesn’t have a clue (well, maybe a clue) for what’s going on. Rush has a new name for him TOTUS–Teleprompter of the US!

Pat never cared for the neo-con agenda, did he. He’s more old school. A “paleo-con”.

I agree, he was the most unbiased observer of the Democratic primary over at MSNBC. And, calling Tweety’s bullshit after Palin’s speech was classic. “The MS at MSNBC should not stand for misogyny!” Great stuff…

we’re you a bad little voter?

    (haha ok, going to check)

I remembered so well how we were deluged with the stories of corruption from the old Soviet Union.
Now in America, we have government fraud, corporate fraud, welfare fraud, and voter fraud!
This country is decaying from the inside, and sadly, our own citizens are responsible!

  • alibe

This country is becoming the former Soviet Union. “Welcome to the Soviet Union” has become a favorite phrase of mine for the past 8 years. It is more true today than it was a year ago.

Wall Street is holding us hostage and our government is caving in. What are these threats of ruining the world economy or divulging company secrets. Isn’t this blackmail? So we now finally have the Wall Street definition of “retaining and seeking talent”

We actually do need to fix this mess of AIG and the rest to get things back in order. However, we do not have to put up with black mailers and be subjected to Wall Street terrorists to do so.

We own 80 percent stock in AIG. We also own a good bit of CITI. The CEO on down works for the American taxpayers and will only continue to do so at our pleasure. I think we should demand to exercise our majority rights over AIG expecting positive results from management like the rest of us have for ourselves when we go to work. If they are not up to the job, then fire them and hire someone else.

  • lilytoo

Indeed! He was a voice of sanity during the primaries….

  • Sassy

We probably are better off not knowing what that 80% is worth!
We are only seeing the tip of the iceberg.

OMG, how true! The fact I’m listening to Fox News or any conservative commentator makes me reel with disbelief. But I am.

    The world is upside down.

My respect for Pat Buchanan has increased exponentially over the past 5 years. He’s right about a great many things; besides that, he’s congenial, and can laugh at himself, and he isn’t afraid to tell the truth.

Those divert and distract tactics are working FANTASTICALLY for Obama’s team. We’re going to be releasing to the public some of the people currently in Guantanamo. No threat at all. They’re going to pass through a bill that will give them complete control over the worlds food, including the food you grow in your own backyard. There will be no more backyard growing. No more organic food it will all be genetically altered food seed. Who’s patent belongs to one company. Wonder how long it will be before we do away with term limits while we’re concentrating our anger at AIG. Yes, I can see how these things would mean so little to us, and the bonus’s at AIG would mean so much.

    From the WSJ on Guantanamo:
    By EVAN PEREZ

WASHINGTON — Attorney General Eric Holder said some detainees being held at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, may end up being released in the U.S. as the Obama administration works with foreign allies to resettle some of the prisoners.

    Eric Holder
Mr. Holder, in a briefing with reporters, said administration officials are still reviewing individual cases of the approximately 250 detainees to determine which will be put on trial and which may be released to comply with plans to close the detention facility by next year.

Six weeks into his tenure, Mr. Holder is still trying to assemble much of the Justice senior leadership, with several nominees awaiting Senate confirmation. He said he has reviewed the department’s handling of white-collar criminal cases in response to the financial crisis and is considering ways to increase coordination on financial fraud among federal prosecutors and state officials. He said he is trying to increase the budget dedicated to white-collar crime, while maintaining funding for national security.

European justice ministers met with Mr. Holder earlier this week and pressed for details on how many Guantanamo prisoners the U.S. planned to release domestically, as part of any agreement for allies to accept detainees. Mr. Holder said U.S. officials would work to respond to the questions European officials have over U.S. Guantanamo plans.

There are so many wrong things, unbelievable wrong, you need time to be able to comprehend all of them. The best thing, in ordet to keep your sanity is to, ” divide the wheat from chaff”. I can’t find the logic of AIG, who paid 58 million Dollars to foreign banks(Germany,France and UK) robing the hard working American peoples tax money. It’s good to know, those people have 6 week vacation(winter and summer) substantial unemployment benefit that the whole family can live on it. Not like the honest, hard working Americans, with a sh..t 10 days of vacation and unemployment benefit, better don’t mention.
