The easiest way for the Republicans to win is for the Obama and Hillary factions to continue sniping and fighting and alienating each other all the way to the convention then not be able to unify to begin the real battle in Sept.

What I dont understand is why this site has become so hateful towards Obama. I dont hate Hillary or Obama and contrary to what you might think I dont believe Obama can beat John McCain, so if I agree that Hilary is the best candidate would any of you please tell me how Hillary is going to beat McCain?

You got a point though, Clinton’s elctoral coalition consists of working class voters, union voters, Catholics, women, African Americans, Asian Americans, Latinos, etc.

Obama’s got a hell of a lot of Republicans and Republican leaner who wll never vote for him in the GE, African Americans, Latte Liberals who wll be sure to vote if their drivers can pick them up before the polls close, and 72 Cheeto smeared bloggers who love case lock and would vote to work out their mommy issues unless they have a big D&D tournament and oversleep. Look, you’re right that Clinton panders too often to the right, thing is Obama is even worse. Obama supporters take a blank slate and create this progressive champion who doesn’t exist. And it’s really not the case that voters are too dumb to be able to look at McCain, see he’s qualified, and make comparisons to Obama. People trust both Clinton and Mccain, it’s a wash, but she’s better domestically. Obama is unknown, inexperienced, and makes people nervous with the national security gaffes he’s made already.

Reading many of these comments makes me almost embarassed to be a Democrat. Perhaps the pundits are correct that a protracted race for the Democratic nomination is the worst thing possible for the Democratic Party. I really didn’t believe it until now. Whether it’s Clinton or Obama in November, we need to come together and support the overriding objective, which is to get the divisive political maneuverings of the Republican Party out of the White House.
