Grab your leash. We’re going to lasso Barack’s retard guy. I have discovered the identity of Barack Obama’s Special Olympics advisor:
Who knew? Barack was channeling Matt Dillon’s character from, There is Something About Mary. Let’s face it, those goofy bastards are the best thing Barack has going.

OK I just read in this article that when he made the gaffe, the Leno audience laughted? WTF? Great example you’re setting, Barry.
While Schwarzenegger was defending Obama, his wife, California First Lady Maria Shriver, was not so quick to forgive.
Shriver, a Democrat who endorsed Obama last year, said in a statement Friday that his bungled effort humor was hurtful.
“While I am confident that President Obama never intended to offend anyone, the response that his comments have caused, coupled with the reaction of a primetime audience, demonstrate the need to continue to educate the non-disabled community on the issues that confront those with a developmental disability,” she said. “Oftentimes we don’t realize that when we laugh at comments like this it hurts millions of people throughout the world.”
What the hell? What the hell is wrong with people? And his bots are out in force today saying we’re being too P.C. about his trashing of the disabled.
kat in your hat
I realize O was trying to make an attempt at self-deprecating humor, I just can’t believe he said what he did. Well, I mean, of COURSE I can. I know O. *sigh*
I read Palin’s response and she pointed out how such a hurtful comment came from the most powerful person in office. I know it’s obvious, but it’s jarring to get that the most powerful person put down some of the most vulnerable on our planet. It’s mean. Not just a mistake.
If O speaks this way on national TV, then he’s probably wayyy loose with the comments when no one can hear him. One can see why he is so dependent on the teleprompter–every time he speaks, it’s not really him. Face it, obots, our president is a jerk and it sucks.
kinthenorthwest
I like the way you pointed out that if he does this on National TV then what does he sound like without a TV camera around.
FrenchNail
And to add to this, Obama sent yesterday a letter via the Embassy to the French President, thanking him for his congratulations upon his election (4 months later) and inviting him to work together.
The problem is that the letter was sent to the wrong President!!! It was sent to Chirac who has been out of office for two years…
Yup. I liked what Palin said today with regard to Obama’s remark:
“I was shocked to learn of the comment made by President Obama about Special Olympics,” Governor Palin said. “This was a degrading remark about our world’s most precious and unique people, coming from the most powerful position in the world.
“These athletes overcome more challenges, discrimination and adversity than most of us ever will. By the way, these athletes can outperform many of us and we should be proud of them. I hope President Obama’s comments do not reflect how he truly feels about the special needs community.”

I love this logic: since other people piled on to laugh at the disabled, then it wasn’t an offensive comment.

What really stinks is that while Obama was going on Leno and insulting the disabled, Hillary was at the Kennedy center receiving a Global Trailblazer award.
The fact that we aren’t seeing this on the news is a failure of the media, but it’s also a failure of Obama’s leadership. America needs to see something positive right now and seeing female leaders from around the world honored as well as our Sec of State getting a standing ovation would have done more good then that stupid appearance on Leno. Obama could have attended the award ceremony and brought the media with him. There were even celebrities there and it’s been all but censored away by the press.

… and of course the self righteous arrogant, and narcissistic one would never think about apologizing for the offensive remarks and disrespect to all people with disabilities. He probably thinks that apologies are below his position. What an ignorant and offensive person this man is to the presidency.
Tess
The people with disabilities can’t take on all the Obamas. That leaves us. We can do it, but it is so embarrassing to show the world that we will take up the gauntlet against this fool aka POTUS.
It’s another in a series of WORMs of Obama and his administration working against, cutting down the most deserving and “weakest” of Americans; the disabled, the veterans. I wish I could think his handlers are appalled and disgusted by this latest in a series of insults and gaffes.
I don’t think that’s the case. When I read the Internet, the number of people defending this vulgar gauche clown wannabe O is legion.
Ya gotta wonder what it takes.

jbjd
Everyone, I have watched and re-watched the clip of BO on Leno and want to offer this slightly different interpretation of the offensive exchange. I am convinced this was not BO’s failed attempt at self-deprecating humor but something far more offensive.
BO made that nasty comment – “This is like Special Olympics or something” – right after Jay’s response to his statement, he had bowled a 129. See, he said he bowled 129; Jay said, “That’s very good,” and then looked away and placed his fingers on his lips, as if to squelch a laugh. Then, he turned back to his guest and repeated with obviously feigned sincerity, “No, that’s very good,” and turned away again to stop himself from laughing, all the while clapping his hands half-heartedly. BO, smiling broadly, now chuckled and, reaching out his left hand to touch Jay’s right sleeve, uttered the offensive remarks, “This is like the Special Olympics or something.” I believe, he was drawing a parallel between Jay’s response to his bowling performance and the response of spectators at the Special Olympics, wrongly likening Jay’s obviously mocking ‘praise’ of his low bowling score to the genuine pride pouring from spectators cheering on the athletes competing at the Special Olympics.
Only a mental health professional could provide words to adequately convey the depravity that is all things Obama.

Thank you for pointing out that Obama’s disregard for our wounded veterans is part of the same callousness he showed towards “our world’s most precious and unique people”.

That crossed my mind too. Barack Obama a écrit à Jacques Chirac
Barack Obama wrote to Jacques Chirac
19/03/2009
The American president has just addressed a letter “very likable” to Jacques Chirac, according to the expression of the latter. “I am certain that we will be able during the four years to come to collaborate together in a spirit of peace and of friendship in order to construct a surer world”, writes the successor of George W. Bush to the predecessor of Nicolas Sarkozy. While evoking the word of “peace”, Obama returns an implicit homage to the action of the French former president that had opposed itself to the war in Iraq. An American intervention against which the future president American had opposed itself as senator, at the time of the vote to the Congress.

Palm Tree
A good analysis jbjd.
Interesting, also, that BO reached out to touch Leno just prior to the offending remark – Leno’s actions seemed to have struck something within Obama.
Sabina
Agreed Ani. I don’t want to write this but can you imagine if Obama instead of saying he bowls like the Special Olympics, he said I bowl like a girl. Can you imagine the deafening laughter at that, even stupid women would be laughing at that.
If Obama had said he bowls like a girl, do you think there would be any attention at all given to that remark? Sometimes I feel the only remarks that cause outrage are those that can affect men, any remarks that affect women, there is hardly any outrage.
The reason why I hate pointing this out is everytime I hear someone making a bigoted remark about any group, I always think about the fact that a similar remark about women would be given a free pass.
This time I was just thinking about how this was not even something that Obama can say was a slip of the tongue. If he had said my bowling skills are retarded or I bowl like a retard, it would still be wrong but it can be said that in society we have become sanitised to the word retard. We should not be sanitised to the word retard and we should be careful in using that word.
But Obama made a direct attack on the disabled by saying it is like the Special Olympics. The fact that some people can excuse this is very very wrong.
Now there is something else that has made me more upset. There were those who were commenting here on NQ when Larry first put up the post about Obama’s appearance on Leno.
They were saying what if Obama had said I bowl like a girl, this person was saying that this would not be tolerated. Really? Because sexist remarks are always ignored. Like I said above if Obama had said I bowl like a girl, there would be hardly any outrage the outrage would come from us women only and worse both men and stupid women would laugh so hard at that.
I guess I do not want to point out how misogyny or sexism is given a free pass especially when the disabled community is being attacked but when ever I see remarks such as those above saying that it is never OK to attack women I just want to scream. Of course it is OK to attack women, you can get away with saying anything about women, you don’t even have to apologise for it. Has Obama ever apologised for his countless sexist remarks. Has Bill Maher ever apologised for his countless sexist remarks?
Sabina
I disagree Ani, people were laughing.

“He bowled a 129. I bowl a 300. I could beat that score easily,” Michigan’s Kolan McConiughey (KO-lahn Mc-KAHNA-he) told The Associated Press in an interview Friday.
The athletic-minded president made an offhand remark Thursday on “The Tonight Show” comparing his weak bowling to “the Special Olympics or something.” He quickly apologized and told the Special Olympics chairman he wants to have some of its athletes visit the White House to bowl or play basketball.
McConiughey, who is mentally disabled, is just the bowler for the job. He’s bowled five perfect games since 2005.

Such disregard for wounded vets, proposing the largest increase in VA expenditure by $ and % ever. An increase of 17% ($15 billion). $1.5 billion more than requested.
President Obama has proposed an increase in VA spending to $112.8 billion. As confirmed by the VA this is the largest dollar and percentage increase ever requested by a President for veterans.
550,000 new Priority Group 8 veterans will be enrolled by 2013.
There will be a gradual lifting of what remains of the ban on concurrent receipt of both military retirement and VA disability compensation for disabled retirees. In 2010 concurrent receipt will be allowed for the most seriously disabled veterans forced to retire short of 20 years.

I think this is something a little different altogether.
It was disparaging of Special Olympics no doubt.
But BO also, in the attempt at humor about bowling, was essentially mocking bowling–a blue-collar, middle and low income pastime/sport–so it was a much bigger implication than just mocking special olympic participants.
See, BO is an ELITIST. He thinks people who cling to god and guns also like bowling. So he mocks bowling by saying he’s so bad at it as if he is proud of that fact.
Because after all, right now, he’s too busy picking the BASKETBALL game to worry about a paltry thing like his bowling score, and he’s, after all, a man who asks his audience to check out the price of ARUGULA, instead of what it costs to feed a family on $50,000 a year, using a head of iceberg lettuce, something he probably hasn’t tasted since high school. He’s too busy serving $100 a pound japanese steak to know what it means to have a burger with friends on bowling night.
You see, he’s not good a bowling, because he’s upper-income, elitist, and far too important for such low-income, blue-collar pastimes, enjoyed by middle-income americans.
FLDemFem
I hate to quote Nancy Reagan, but when it comes to doing ANYTHING to forward Obummer’s agenda, I will “JUST SAY NO!!”
The main difference between the US and the European countries that fell into fascism and communism is that we have a tradition of mouthing off about things we don’t like and we are armed. If we have to, we can fight back. So regimenting Americans isn’t as easy as it sounds. The small percentage of the population that spends time fulminating on the internet is nothing compared to the rest of the people who won’t put up with that sort of crap, no matter what the Obots tell them. They know their rights, even if Obummer doesn’t. And they have the means to defend them. And they will.

Actually, bowling started out as a pastime of the elite. It was what Sir Francis Drake was doing, allegedly, while waiting for the Spanish Armada to get into position to be annihilated. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Francis_Drake
The most famous (but probably apocryphal) anecdote about Drake relates that, prior to the battle, he was playing a game of bowls on Plymouth Hoe. On being warned of the approach of the Spanish fleet, Drake is said to have remarked that there was plenty of time to finish the game and still beat the Spaniards.
When varlets were replaced by pinsetters, it became a game for everyone. So, it started out as a game for the highest in the land, not a “common” game at all. As an elitist, Obummer should be much better at bowling. Heh.

So much for secrecy. I think the Special Olympics remark is a red herring. Where’s the outcry about Obama trying to make nice with Iran? I thought the IAEA said recently Iran was closer than they thought to developing the material for real nukes.

Me, too. I have even stopped watching 60 Minutes, which I watched from its inception when Harry Reasoner was on. I will no participate in the current backside smooching, feet-kissing of That One, which is all the rage now.

Obama wants, and desperately needs approval, adoration, and validation to compensate for his abysmally low self esteem, so he reaches out, and engages in attention seeking behavior.
And this is what makes him so dangerous. What happens when he gets fed up trying to please people. When things start going against him. He doesn’t like to be made a fool of. Obama could care less about those that grovel at his feet. Look where Claire is. Hitler was the exact same way. At the beginning…

don’t you think it’s rather funny that Maria seems to be upset with the people who laughed at the remark but not at Obama-the-creep who made
the remark? Obama just seems to be acceptably stupid to Obots no matter how nasty and cheap-souled he shows himself.

You are right Sabina. But here, at NoQuarter right after the original PA bowling Obama incident, someone did comment that he “bowled like a girl.” Several folks here pointed out that such a comment was inappropriate and offensive- me among them. But out in the big ol media sphere— it is the unspoken rule that
the female sex is the only group that folks can dump on and get a free pass. Of course Obama usually gets a free pass for dumping on any group.

When Narcissists realize that they are no longer viewed as dieties, they get downright NASTY! Obama will implore his rabid core of loyal supporters to seek out, punish, and re-educate the non-believers. Gotta go, there’s someone knocking on my door.
Julia
I completely agree Sabina. I’ve read a lot of times “he cries like a poor little girl” or similar at this page and I was surprised that so many people here, even women, used this.

“We know That One is immature and childishly vengeful.”
But Mrs. One is even more junior high and vengeful than her spouse. My guess is she’s pissed that Carla Bruni has far more beautiful arms, not to mention actual fashion sense. Hence, the necessary snubbing of her husband.

… from the most powerful position in the world…
Love that she rightfully made the position powerful, not the person.

Good observation! Palin obviously has a greater and more comfortable command and understanding of the language than Obama.

Sorry for the off topic comment. My brain just rambles now and then.
Years ago when my wife and 3 daughters then 5,5, and 7 went out to a restaurant on Easter for family dinner. My parents, brother and and sisters and their families were their as well. So we had a collection of 5 lovely little ladies in their easter dresses and bows in their hair being perfect little angels. They were of course the center of everyone’s attention.
They guy at the table next to us, who was there with his wife and two high school age sons, recognized my brother-in-law. They had served together in the military. He looked down the table and made a number of condescending comments and apologies over the fact we “only had girls”.
Despite their young age, you could see the look in the girls eye’s when he made his comments.
Though I posses (barely) enough tact not to go have gone over the table after him I ran into him in the men’s room and let you know I make sure my daughters would never marry and asshole like him.

He didn’t say he was a U.S. Senator. Learn to read.
snosandy
He didn’t say he was a State Senator. He implies he’s a Senator at the time of the vote, and that he was against it. How many Europeans study enough of our politics to know that he was a State Sentator and not a US Senator.

remember.he has done this from day one.upstaged her every time..shame on him..

Nah, it was just some LDS guys. Darn, I’ll have to reset my bear traps. Those guys sure did grumble though as they limped away.

Bill Maher has now come out and accused Glenn Beck of “inviting violence” on OFraudo. Gee, when he was attacking Bush and Cheney, and suggesting all kinds of horrors for them, I guess it was okay. But just like more of the insanity from the far left, the double standard applies. What a sicko.

Nah, it was just some LDS guys.

I had to remove CNN and CNBC from my lineup to keep myself from going back to them. Now I watch mostly FOX. I still cannot get into O’Reilly. I’ve watched a few times, but I’m not going back to the other two. I really like Greta, Megyn Kelly and Sheppard Smith. He’s always in trouble for something. Someone is always giving him a hard time, but he’s got a great sense of humor.
Ferd Berfle
For sure. I removed CNN, MSNBC, and CNBC.
Bildo is a real creep. Greta is about the only one I listen to anymore. She seems to be more of a centrist. I don’t know the other two you spoke of. Frankly, I’m so tired of bots of all persuasions. If they aren’t telling us how good Dubya was, they’re telling us how bad Dubya was and how good That One is. Well, by my book, they’re both wretched.
