I believe the US is undermining their government and will start accusing them of harboring terrorists and attempting to tie them to anything in Pakistan with the intent of using them as an excuse to deploy our troops inside of India

nom, where did you hear this? Cite sources (not some blog) when you make these egregious claims. For one thing, India will never agree to having US troops on its soil, are you kidding me?

What the newspapers are reporting is actually extensive Al-Qaeda recruitment activity in Bangladesh. Pakistani ISI does have connections to Al-Qaeda and other terror groups as was seen in Mumbai attacks. A steady stream Bangladeshi refugees into India is making India nervous.

Anyway, this post is about Afghanistan and not Bangladesh. You talk about US, who knows what the Saudis are doing in all those places to destabilize them?

I believe the US is undermining their government and will start accusing them of harboring terrorists and attempting to tie them to anything in Pakistan with the intent of using them as an excuse to deploy our troops inside of India: did not state clearly, sorry.
The BNP is the likeliest source of the attempt to assasinate Sheikh Hasina in her previous office holding. There is also their coalition partner Jamaat e Islami (sp?) and the JMB who do in fact support Islamic rule. It's my opinion the fascists who run the US formerly through Bush and now thru BHO like to destabilize nations and play them one against another pretty much around the freaking globe. I expect to see terrorism rise and Bangladesh be one more front in this purported war on terror.

I don't grok it. How can Bangladesh serve as a "corridor for instability/possible to purported terrorism in Pakistan" when the two countries are separated by India?
Incidentally, Hasina's party is the more secular-based (and left-leaning) of the two major Bangladeshi political parties. (The opposition BNP, on the other hand, attracts Islamists, though there are a couple of minor parties which attract more radical Islamists. The BNP, in spite of its strong Islamist support, doesn't seem to be ready to turn the country into a Muslim fundamentalist state since it's currently led by a woman.)

Somebody has to take out those terrorist infrastructure. Looking at the big picture, the challenge is to get Pakistan to cooperate in reining in (or eliminating) Taliban and Al-Qaeda. The fact that Saudis and the British are meddling and prescribing inaction out of fear (for the British) and out of malice (for the Saudis while they prop up the militants) is what Mir is talking about.

I am talking about the U.S. forces spilling over into Pakistan, not the Taliban. Everyone is aware of the hardcore Muslims in the Northern areas of Pakistan. And of Pakistan funding the Taliban for years. Pakistan's Muslim population does not want its government to support the U.S. efforts in Afghanistan or Iraq.

The drones that we are using to kill "terrorists" in Pakistan are causing an internal uproar that overshadows any benefit by killing "terrorists" and "innocents". Now these drones are President Obama's drones. Civilians are dying as a result of the drone's missile attacks.

This will spill over into Pakistan (it all ready has).

That is an inaccurate statement. Pakistan's Army had always been a big supporter and financier of Taliban. They were part of the cabal which encouraged Taliban's existence way back. It is just that the monster they helped create is now knocking on their very door. Though it is not clear if Pakistan is strategically using Taliban now to scare everybody else into doing what they want.

Mir was aide to Ahmad Shah Masooud who was killed just before 9/11 by the Taliban for his resistance to their atrocities.

Not to mention we could have supported Qanooni instead of Karzai whose brother is one of if not the largest opium producers in Afghanistan.
Oh yeah, Qanooni supported education for women. Dang! Can't have that.

This theory of course presupposes that some to all of the US, UK, NATO, and Saudi Arabia do not want instability in Pakistan. Yet we are already trying to destabilize the newly elected government of Sheikh Hasina in Bangladesh to let Bangladesh serve as a corridor for instability/ possible to purported terrorism in Pakistan. Bush Pres 1 was director of the CIA when her father became the first pres of Bangladesh, whose independent status Bush was categorically against. These policies to destabilize this region are not new.

Haroun Mir is also president of SIG Afghanistan.
Being a former advisor to the Northern Alliance defense chief slants his view of "history".

The article concludes that “The new US administration should beware of the British and Saudis’ objective in the region, which consists of saving Pakistan at the cost of abandoning Afghanistan. While the rest of the world seems to have ceased caring about bringing justice to the architects of 9/11, the US government has a commitment to do so, saving Afghanistan from the Taliban resurgence in the process.”

“Saving Pakistan at the cost of abandoning Afghanistan,” means appeasing Taliban and Al-Qaeda which is not an acceptable solution.

"....Bringing to justice the architects of 9/11", is that what we are doing in Afghanistan? Over 70% of Afghanistan is now under Taliban control. Kabul is not safe. We are about to make a grave mistake by increasing forces in Afghanistan. This will spill over into Pakistan (it all ready has).
