You would be more convincing if you engaged in facts, Jim or Screaming Bear, or whatever your moniker is. Until there is parity in government, in jobs, and in pay (women make only $ .77 to every $ 1.00 that men make) — and until men stop their violence against women — your claims are uniformed. Sure women can be just a violent as men, but most violence (and wars) are initiated by the male gender. There exist a lot of good men out there (my husband and those on NQ) who get it — and aren’t threatened by the truth of the matter.

I wish you a more enlightened life….

I find it a bit suspicious that BO and his team are undercutting Hillary by contradicting her statements on current events (i.e. on the ME revolts, on gender, etc.) and by positioning John Kerry as their official HRC contrarian on matters of war and national security. By all accounts, it looks like he’ll be the next SOS. Then question is When?

I’ll check Rothkopf’s column out (link?) . I, too, have been wondering when she’s gonna make her move. Can she sustain that grueling schedule much longer? I understand she’s put in more miles than any other SOS. One more thing, Hillary has shown herself to be so talented, smart, and strong that she’s entering that zone where looks, age, and gender (I hope) just don’t matter. (And I think Hillary IS an attractive woman!)

Actually, I think his point in his statement is that it shouldn’t be considered a woman’s issue. I agree. This is very much a men’s issue as well. I honestly think he was trying to say as much. Perhaps he could have said it better.

I have a question for Ben Affleck..

Why is it a “women’s issue” when it’s the men doing the violence against women? Shouldn’t it be a “men’s issue” when they are the ones doing the damage to women? If men taught their sons to 1) keep their hands off women when angry and 2) keep their peckers in their pants, then the issues of violence against women and unplanned pregnancy, aka abortion, would be almost non-existent. It’s not a women’s issue, it’s the men’s issue. THEY are the ones doing the crime, and women end up doing the time.
