Monica’s Blue Dress – 2008

As I recall, Monica Lewinsky and her “blue dress” have not been an issue for about eight years. So, you can imagine my surprise when I check out The Page – by Mark Halperin – Time and read that Obama Senior Advisor Gordon Fischer decided that now would be a good time to remind us about it.

I followed the link and saw that this story has already been picked up by Jake Tapper at ABC. Tapper quotes Fischer as follows.

“When Joe McCarthy questioned others’ patriotism, McCarthy (1) actually believed, at least aparently (sic), the questions were genuine, and (2) he did so in order to build up, not tear down, his own party, the GOP. Bill Clinton cannot possibly seriously believe Obama is not a patriot, and cannot possibly be said to be helping — instead he is hurting — his own party. B. Clinton should never be forgiven. Period. This is a stain on his legacy, much worse, much deeper, than the one on Monica’s blue dress.

Can someone please explain to me why rehashing an event from nearly a decade ago is at all relevant to bolster a stab at Bill Clinton that even Obama’s own campaign has already denounced? If someone could, I would be greatly appreciative.

The hypocrisy in Obama’s campaign makes me feel like my head is about to explode!

This is going to backfire. I was really pissed back then when they went after Bill for a blowjob. 70 million spent on investigating a friggin’ blowjob. So…what…Obama is channeling Ken Star now? Christ almighty. And rubbing Hillary’s nose in it all over again will seem unfair and cruel. She didn’t deserve it then and she doesn’t deserve it now.

  • Kathy

Nobody cares about the blue dress. It reads like a funny joke ten years later.

Besides, we still don’t know for sure that Obama is a patriot. Do we? There is so much to find out. The MSM still won’t report on his best friend, Rezko, (the Syrian) and we know that stuff is the truth. You talk about secretive. This man is still a mystery to me.

  • apishapa

First, Bill Clinton did not question Obama’s patriotism. He was comparing McCain and Hillary’s records and discussing that contest. Everything is not Obama and it is childish of Obama to whine because Bill left him out of that speech. Bill Clinton does not have to pump up Obama’s ego every time he campaigns for Hillary. Obama constantly compares himself against McCain and it does not break Hillary’s heart.

Second, what is the hell does anything have to do with Monica? We’ve heard all of that crap we want to and attacking the most popular president in recent history is not the way to go. In case Obama doesn’t know it, Clinton was very popular all through Monicagate. Throwing that at him is going to alie3nate many Democrats.

Finally, it appears Obama is tearing down his party. Both Clintons have always supported the Democratic Party, but I personally am ashamed of what it has become due to Obama’s psychotic attacks against a respected President.

  • yttik

“Both Clintons have always supported the Democratic Party, but I personally am ashamed of what it has become due to Obama’s psychotic attacks against a respected President.”

You have that right. What kind of a Democratic strategy is this? Insult a Democratic presidency, attack a Democratic Senator, divide the party, disenfranchise a couple of states, and alienate everybody. Is there some secret plan I’m not seeing here? All I can picture is a McCain win. If I had set out to destroy the Dem party, I’m not sure I could have done it this well.

And as an aside, do we not have any Democratic leadership? Hello, somebody? Howard Dean, Pelosi, anybody want to step forward and pay attention to what’s happening??

  • Fleaflicker

When Hillary’s campaign made the comment about Obama acting like Ken Starr they weren’t kidding.

This and the McCarthy are some of the worst examples of a smear campaign. Disgusting politics if you ask me.

  • BernieO

OT except that it involves poltical sex scandals. Chris Matthews just reported that Roger Stone was the one who blew the whistle on Spitzer, saying it was really interesting to find out how these scandals come to light. Funny how he did not think it worth mentioning that Stone and his wife are notorious swingers……Surprising that he would be the guy to know who visited prostitutes.
(Just googls Roger Stone images to see what a sleazeball this guy is.)

  • frankly0

With the entirely manufactured McCarthyism charge, the Obama campaign has finally jumped the shark.

I am wondering when the Bill Ayers crap will hit Obama’s fan. Then we can let everyone decides who is and isn’t a patriot. I want the popcorn concession for that one.

As for the Democratic Party, I am leaving it. This race has shown me loudly and clearly that they are a party of hypocrites. They never did accept women except as tokens among their leaders. Women in this party who made it had to work twice as hard as mediocre men to get anywhere — just like in real life. Give me a public Male Chauvinist Pig any day. In Corporate America, at least I know where they are and can deal with them accordingly. But this closet hatred of women that has risen to the surface in this race by the leaders of what I thought was my party can never be fixed in my mind. The Democrats can never recover my loyalty nor the loyalty of so many women I know who are also horrifed at what they have allowed (and participated in!) and are leaving the party. This party is holding up a mediocre man and abandoning a superior mind in a woman. It doesn’t get any more sexist than that. I personally hold this against Dean and all the rest of those yahoos who are cowards and would throw Hillary under the bus just because they are afraid of the Al Sharptons of this world.

Next time, the Democrats can just suck up to me as an Independent and worry about which way I am going. For now, I will make it easy for them: I am NOT voting for Barack Obama if he’s the nominee. He will go down in flames the minute the swift boats hit him on Ayers, Wright, Rezko and God knows what else that has been withheld so far. Serves them right. The only people who will be left voting for him are whackjob lefties off the cliff and African Americans who don’t recognize another Clarence Thomas when they see one. One look at what Obama allowed Rezko to do to the poor blacks in his own district would be an easy tipoff if any of them had their eyes open. It serves them right as well. The young kids who enjoy his MTV rallies and chants will forget to vote if there’s a party that night, just like the Obama girl forgot to vote. This not only does not a majority make, but it tallies up to a most EMBARRASSING minority. Me? I’ll be just fine without the Democratic party, especially now that I have gotten the opportunity to see their true colors, scuse the pun.

I am a REALLY ticked off woman and I am not alone.

Wanna send Gordo a comment? Here’s his addy from his blog site:

    gordonfischer@yahoo.com

  • Gloria

Are these people really Democrats?? When Obama praised Reagan and Republicans for “getting things done” I wondered if there was something going on….I’m wondering even more, now.

  • CoYoungDem

I am with you and agree with everything you just said. I keep waiting for the Obama/Ayers/Dohrn connection to pop up on the MSM radar, but there hasn’t been a peep out of anybody but Sean Hannity.
And as for the rampant sexism going on, I literally do not have the words to express my frustration and disgust. Rev. Wright said “Hillary ain’t never been called a n****r, she ain’t never had to work twice as hard to be accepted by the white establishment”. Well, excuse me “Reverend”, but I am pretty sure this election proves that statement is wrong. Not only is Hillary more experienced, more involved in the party, more educated on numerous important issues and a harder worker (as their senate records proove) She STILL isn’t respected in her own right by half the party. It is repulsive and the No. 1 reason I will be re-registering as an Indie after this election. I thought the Democratic party was the party that stood up for equal rights and equal opportunity. Apparently, however, they only care about racial inequality and want to sweep sexism right under the rug. The only way I’ll vote for Obama is if Hillary is running as VP. Otherwise, I’ll be taking his rejection of her as a rejection of me – and, mark my words, it will be the bitch slap felt across the nation as well.

Obama’s fan. Then we can let everyone decides who is and isn’t a patriot. I want the popcorn concession for that one.

September 2nd is “National Obarry’s Shit Hits the Fan Day”.

As for the Democratic Party, I am leaving it.

Likewise unless the DNC Elites come down HARD on this.

The Democrats can never recover my loyalty nor the loyalty of so many women I know who are also horrified at what they have allowed (and participated in!) and are leaving the party.

    Bravo!

Next time, the Democrats can just suck up to me as an Independent and worry about which way I am going.

Truly, and you are not alone.

For now, I will make it easy for them: I am NOT voting for Barack Obama if he’s the nominee.

Nor will over a million formerly loyal Democrats.

He will go down in flames the minute the swift boats hit him on Ayers, Wright, Rezko and God knows what else that has been withheld so far.

Obama won’t require “swift-boating”. The facts speak for themselves.

Me? I’ll be just fine without the Democratic party, especially now that I have gotten the opportunity to see their true colors, scuse the pun.

I am a REALLY ticked off woman and I am not alone.

No, you’re not alone. These people have torpedoed the Democratic Party.

This is one pissed-off Bluedog soon-to-be-ex Democrat.

  • http://hyper-educated-uppity-woman.blogspot.com Molly

I will not accept Hillary running as VP. I will still not vote for Obama. I am sick of watching better women play second fiddle to mediocre men. Why should Hillary use all her brain power to make this lightweight look better. Let him hang on his own.

  • jwrjr

The Obama campaign has nothing valid to say about Senator Clinton, so they bring up crap like this in order to try to tar her by association. I am tempted to change my registration from Unaffiliated to Democrat just so that I can vote against Obama in the primary.

  • http://hyper-educated-uppity-woman.blogspot.com Molly

I have no interest in communicating with a sexist moron.

  • Nancy

Obama is a chamelion, changes his color and story when it suits him. There are so many inconsistencies in his statements, it could almost fill a book. He still remains a member of that church whose new pastor spews similar vitriole!

That he subjects his children to this is reprehensible. HE says he strongly rejects the anti-American, anti-white statements of his pastor. What about his children? Are they discerning and old enough to also reject or are they being indoctrinated with this same hatread.

Very poor parenting and judgment methinks!

  • Sammie

well he’s not a mystery to me. its him and rezko and jesse jackson. does that look like and american to you? lol. and what about how he steals elections like george bush? he thinks he can strut into the whitehouse and steal the election and people arent going to notice. well we notice. i voted for hillary and people said she won, and now he’s trying to say no wait i won? she’s got the truth and shes get REAL votes and we don’t believe his LIES.

  • Retired

OK, this race is getting serious now when the Obama campaign “pulls out the blue dress.” That’s ten times worse than “playing the race card.”

I can’t help but think of Rex Harrison looking up at Charlton Heston in “The Agony and the Ecstasy” and yelling “When will you make an end” and getting a plop of paint in his face. Except in our faces we’re now getting a plop of…oh, forget it!

  • http://hyper-educated-uppity-woman.blogspot.com Molly

One more thing while I am blowing a gasket. Look out that Hillary doesn’t take him. If I have learned one thing in my not so short lifetime, it’s that a woman as smart as she is should never be discounted unless she has stopped breathing. My kinda girl! If that happens, I cannot wait to watch guys like Jack Cafferty wince and cross his legs.

Furthermore, if Baby Jesus Obama is so sure he’s the “winner” then why is he fretting so? Why are his sycophants working so hard to get rid of her? I mean she’s incidental right? I mean she can’t “possibly” win with the convuluted “math” right? After all, he’s the “winner” right? With his glass jaw, he could not survive a fraction of the crap he pretends somebody else is throwing at her. He would run off wimpering like the Lightweight he is. He can’t even handle a poke from a “incidental” woman, imagine how he would melt when the Republicans got done with him. I cannot wait to see him go down in flames one way or another.

  • http://wiebs47 Colleen

    Ditto, Ditto, Ditto!!!!!!!!

After I get to vote for Hillary in Indiana, I will be registering Independent, too. I can’t wait to be called by the DNC so that I can tell them “no more money–EVER!!

The bitch slapping has just begun!

Obama camp’s Tommy Vietor responds: “As Senator Obama has said repeatedly, comments like this have no place in our political dialogue and he strongly rejects them.”

    It’s insane!

If the Oblamers are so paranoid about President Clinton noticing along with say 400 million other
    Americans

that BO is not patriotic “God Damn America”& “I won’t wear a flag pin” he needs to quit the race

and devote himself full time to his wicked terrorist friends like William Ayers and Bernardine Rae Dohrn,

scammers like Tony “The Fixer” Rezko and Stuart Levine,

and Mid Eastern felons Auchi and Alsamare.

And please take Michelle “I never gave a shit about this country until my hubby ran for Prez” Obama too!

  • http://www.todayslies.com Will

Obama never “praised Reagan”. He just said that he was a transformative president politically. That’s an irrefutable fact. He was transformative in a terrible way. Obama acknowledged that, too.

    Way to go Mike!

  • AmyinSC

Molly, you ROCK!!! And I completely agree with EVERYTHING you have said. Absolutely everything. Well said!

As for the DNC, I had some words for the DCCC guy who called asking for $200! HAH! After what John Lewis did to Clinton? After all that Jesse Jackson, Jr. was doing?? No way, no how. I have already told the DSCC the same thing. NO WAY am I going to help fund people like this. I’ll give to individual candidates, but no more to the DNC, the DSCC, or the DCCC. Whenever they call, I just go give more to CLINTON!

  • http://www.todayslies.com Will

For what’s it’s worth, as an Obama supporter, I think these comments by Fischer are way out of line.

That said, they were made by a campaign staffer–not the candidate. The staffer should be reprimanded, and offer an apology.

  • http://www.todayslies.com Will

“If the Oblamers are so paranoid about President Clinton noticing along with say 400 million other

There are only just over 300 million Americans.

CJ–don’t be surprised: THEY’RE A BUNCH OF ASSHOLES. And you know something: That Obama character they’re trying to push on us is the biggest asshole of them all.

Nothing that these political ghouls of Obama’s camp do anymore can surprise me–I came to terms already with them all being a bunch of asswipes who’ll tear this country apart and incite racial divisiveness just to have more delegates at the end of the day. Fuck Florida and fuck Michigan the assholes say. They broke the rules. But now, you see, the Obama assholes can break the rules and even threaten and browbeat our Dem superdelegates into submission to support Asshole Messiah, because you know, the rules don’t apply to the assholes. They’re above all that shit about rules and long-established Democratic regulations.

Let the hope and change ring long and loud thoughout the land. The assholes are in town, now.

  • http://www.todayslies.com Will

I count 6 “assholes”, and one “asswipe”. No “asshats”, unfortunately, but maybe one can be squeezed in next time.

To be clear, I am not referring to the posters on this site…

I have more “assholes” reserved in my purse for trolls. Don’t bait me tonight, Will.

“The only people who will be left voting for him are whackjob lefties off the cliff and African Americans who don’t recognize another Clarence Thomas when they see one. “

No, you’re not alone. And I’m an AA. So you see, not all of us are blind. It’s not the Al Sharptons of the world that the party is afraid of. It’s the overwhelming majority of AAs that have bought into Obama being an AA and seeing validation in his candidacy even though his commitment to black issues remains a mystery. There’s a tacit agreement going on in the AA community that we must not call attention to Obama’s race.

Well fat chance of that now that Wright flew out of the bag. And still Obama’s playing it fast and loose with no details and still trying get his campaign back on track as a candidate wo transcends race.

I’m calling bullshit on him. And if the truth be known and you could get a real converastion with Al Sharpton, I’d make book on the fact that he’s none too happy with this man’s candidacy because Obama has marginalized him BIG TIME. And there’s nothing he can do about it except wait for an opportune moment to recoup some of his power.

When the black community wakes up to the fact that they have been played, it’s going to be an ugly time for Senator Biracial. Mark my words.

As an update, this story is NOT going away. I just checked http://www.meorandum.com and this story is starting to be picked up by all the blogs. Right now, the list includes: The Page, The New Republic, The Moderate Voice, Trailhead, TPM Election Central, Commentary, The Democratic Daily, Tennessee Guerilla Women, Real Clear Politics, Ben Smith’s Blogs, Salon, NO QUARTER, Political Byline, PoliGazette and MSNBC.

What is it going to take for the MSM to ever pick up the gauntlet on these stories?

  • hillarysmygirl

All I’ve been hearing on CNN for the last three hours is everybody and his cousin’s take on Carville’s “Judas” comment…Sheesh…I am trying to stay hopeful, but every now and then I think, “Oh God, Obama’s going to be our nominee and then get beaten by McCain. And it’s going to be MSM and Howard Dean’s fault.”

  • cjbardy

I have to say, I am not really surprised, but every time one of these things happens, I am constantly stunned about the depths to which Obama and his supporters (not to mention our “leaders” in the the Democratic Party) are willing to go!

  • Kevin

Ummmm… if Hillary is so good, seems to me she’d be able to overcome any “glamour” that’s blinded the populace.

  • Ramasan

DNC: 202-863-8000. Their phones need to be ringing off the wall. How long will it be before another person of Hillary’s caliber runs for the presidency?

  • Kevin

Tell me Gloria, why does Obama’s comment bother you – but apparantly you have no problem w/ Hillary’s statements saying that she or McCain would work, Obama wouldn’t? Why not the comments Bill made about “patriotic americans”? LOL

  • cjbardy

Does anyone here doubt that there will be a another gaffe followed up by a convenient apology from the Obama camp within the next several days?

Dragging Out MAWNIKA’S..Old Blue Dress is Tacky..

GOD..I have heard of Dirty laundry but this is ridiculous..

  • Kevin

“that BO is not patriotic “God Damn America”& “I won’t wear a flag pin””

Mike, seriously – if your judgement on whether someone is patriotic or not is based upon someone else’s comments or whether or not they wear a flag pin. You’ve definitely one of the GOP shills paid to foment trouble.

Let me see if I get this straight… I should always wear a lapel pin to show my patriotism? (And Hillary does this how often?) And my thoughts/beliefs are directly tied to the words of others I know and associate with (do we really need to go down that path? I think not since the GOP will bring that up on their own regardless of who the final nominee is).

I swear, all I hear is mindless, “Obambots this, Obamablamers that” yet – Hillary’s supporters also seem to be constantly exhibiting the same behaviors you deride.

    Amazing (and sad).

  • John

What ebony said. Back to DailyKos, MoveOn, HuffPo or whatever rock you crawled out from, troll. Obama supporters don’t have a monopoly on the blogosphere.

Deal with it. Better yet, just get lost.

  • simon

Why not the comments Bill made about “patriotic americans”? LOL

You can’t tell the difference, Kevin?

    Wow.

Where did you go to college?

  • Mel

First off, Obama never worked at anything in the State Senate until Jones added his name to Bills for appearance sake before giving him the nod to run for the US Senate! Obama has done little as a US Senator, and for stacking his resume, he took the Chair of the Committee in NATO and Europe, yet never held a single hearing! Excuse is he wanted the resume addition for himself and while troops are dying, he has done nothing! He should have done the honorable thing he claims to be and decline the Chairmanship!

As to Bill Clinton’s statement, Obama was never mentioned, just as when Obama speaks of McCain, he never mentions Clinton! But the whiner from Chicago feels he should be part of anything said, sorry not the case except in his mind!

Brought to you by the Obama campaign on the Environment, Recycling matters, even words!

Sponsored by Your Corner Book Store, this months promotion, “Dreams of my Father” and “The Audacity of Hope”! All profits go to the Obama Trust fund to promote Minority housing in Chicago (Obama’s own)!

  • AmyinSC

Perhaps you should actually WATCH the video of Obama abt Reagan. His comments were NOT made in a negative way.

It was only when he was CONFRONTED later on by Clinton in a debate that he said in reference to his comment that the Republicans were the party of ideas that they weren’t all good ones, parroting what Clinton had just said previously.

So, no – he did not say Reagan was a terrible president. And he did say the Republicans were the Party of Ideas when Bill CLinton was president, attempting to diminish the good work THAT Clinton had done.

CONTEXT is important. Go watch the interview for yourself.

  • Kevin

The difference is that Bill implicitly stated that Obama was not patriotic… next question? Better still – why don’t you answer the question I posed… rather than consistently begging the question?

  • Hope

Will is that something like the notorious “Transcendant Presidency” that you brought to out attention?

  • simon

That said, they were made by a campaign staffer–not the candidate. The staffer should be reprimanded, and offer an apology.

    A uniter, how sweet.

They will rip Obama apart, they already have.

See, Obamabots really seem to have a hard time understanding how serious the game is…

First off, it’s not a game.

    Just ask the Cheney/Bush crews.

  • Kevin

    Amy, you’re kidding right?

    Here’s the quote:

“I think Ronald Reagan changed the trajectory of America in a way that Richard Nixon did not and in a way that Bill Clinton did not. He put us on a fundamentally different path, because the country was ready for it. I think they felt like with all the excesses of the 1960s and 1970s and government had grown and grown, but there wasn’t much sense of accountability in terms of how it was operating. I think people—he just tapped into what people were already feeling, which was we want clarity, we want optimism, we want a return to that sense of dynamism and entrepreneurship that had been missing.”

as for your point about what he said when pressed – please cite a reference. Thanks in advance.

  • Kevin

Oh, so we should adopt the tactics and ethics of the people we decry, deride and want to get rid of?

  • Kevin

Valid point, but so many of Hillary’s supporters are saying “it’s a tough game”. Ummmmm… do you think that this is anywhere near what the republicans will throw at whomever the nominee is? Do you honestly believe they don’t have a treasure trove of poo to fling at Hillary? LOL

  • Mike Howell

Bill Clinton doesn’t owe that piece of shit BO anything. You cry if he mentions him. You cry if he doesn’t. You Obama worshippers are pathetic whiners.

BO has some nutball liken Bill Clinton to McCarthy? Someone in the military who should know how serious an accusation like that is?!

BO and his ugly America hating wife should go to Africa and stay there.

  • Andy

Kevin, you are quoting part of the video. Amy was pretty clear in her post about the full extent of Obama’s coments (including later debate) Please re-read.

  • JoeySky

Obama campaign never seem to have problem holding anybody’s words or action against Hillary. They spent 2 weeks holding Ferraro word’s against Hillary. Ferraro was not even on the payroll.

And how many time Obama is going to offer an apology?

D-Punjab, Monster, Blue dress, framing Bill as racist.

I had enough of his apology.

  • Andy

You must be feeling doubts yourself about Obama patriotism for reading that into Clinton’s comments. The guilty ones always seem to feel singled out…

  • Kevin

“BO and his ugly America hating wife should go to Africa and stay there.”

Wow… didn’t take much for you to expose that source of your feelings eh? I asked you a question – and again as most of the posters here have done you don’t even attempt to answer it – then you quickly devolve into a clearly racist tone. Way to go Mike, way to go.

  • JoeySky

    Haha… LMAO….

Obama’s mouth keeps saying “new politic” & “people are tired and don’t want to hear any old politic rubbish”.

Obama’s hands sent picture of Bill & uncle Wright to NY time within 48 hrs of his glorious race speech.

And now Obama’s hands posted picture of the blue dress on the front page.

Hahahaha…Obama’s politic is new only because he is better at lying than anyone else.

  • Kevin

Andy, nope – don’t have any doubts whatsoever about my patriotism or Obamas… and for you to attempt (clumsily) to sidestep my comment about Bill’s words is pretty damn sad.

“I think it would be a great thing if we had an election year where you had two people who loved this country and were devoted to the interest of this country,” said the former president. “And people could actually ask themselves who is right on these issues, instead of all this other stuff that always seems to intrude itself on our politics.”

Right, and that doesn’t implicitly suggest that Hillary and McCain are the only 2 of 3 candidates who love america?

Too funny, all I’ve read for the last several days is about Obama supporters drinking the kool-aid. And you can’t even admit to the plausibility of my charge??? ROFLMAO yet some more.

  • apishapa

Bill Clinton did not implicitly state that Obama was not patriotic. He did not mention Obama in any way and he is not obligated to tout Obama’s creds every time he speaks. He was talking about Hillary and her credentials compared to McCain.

Obama is not the center of Bill Clinton’s world. Maybe, he just feels like maybe Obama is irrelevant to the conversation because he expects Hillary to be the candidate. Obama is not part of the conversation in an expected Clinton/ McCain matchup.

Hillary does not demand that Obama give her a shout out everytime he addresses an Obama/McCain contest. She can carry her own water. Why should Clinton have to fluff Obama up every single day?

  • apishapa

Not good enough. This has happened again and again. It is always Obama’s spokesman who denies any culpability on Obama’s part. Hillary is expected to take personal responsibility for her campaign and she has done so.

Obama needs to personally apologize to the former President of the United states for his campaigns countless attacks on his character and that of Senator Clinton.

He needs to fire that advisor and McPeak, too. Both have shamed the democratic Party. Obama’s campaign more and more appears to have stolen the Bush/Rove playbook. I am ashamed to be a Democrat.

  • RalphB

Bill didn’t mention Obama’s name there. You’ve got to be a paranoid douchebag to think he was talking about Obama being patriotic or not. Why do you Obamadroids keep making this shit up?

  • Dora Ratquila

For someone who has not done anything of consequence – either at the Illinois State Senate or the US Senate – beyond a much-covered speech at the 2004 Democratic Party Convention, Barack Obama surely behaves like he is God’s gift to FDR’s party. Sorry, but last time I checked, a certain Bill Clinton twice broke the curse of the White House shutout and brought the party again to relevance and competitiveness. And Obama’s hacks, including Obama himself, what achievement can they speak about? Where was he when Valerie Plame-Wilson and her husband confronted Scooter Libby at the height of Bush’s power? Shame on these people! Such gall!

  • TeakWoodKite

“My friends, we live in the greatest nation in the history of the world.
I hope you’ll join with me as we try to change it.”

    Patrick Henry;

Another BAY OF PIGS..in this case..THE BRAY OF PIGS.. (More lipstick on …)

    —-
The conclusion I have come to, after floating on it for awhile, is how utterly “punked” Obama was by McPeak. And he still doesn’t know it happened!

And it is presicely because I respect his service, as a Ret. I believe it is fair to respond.
Who did McPeak vote for in the last cycle?

If McPeak worked for Dole what kinda Blue Dress is that? Nothing like spinning some up and having them remain in comlete bliss as the symbolism of the thing is lost on everyone but McPeak.

    As for sending ears;

Friends, Romans, countrymen, lend me your ears;I come to bury Caesar, not to praise him.
    The evil that men do lives after them;
    The good is oft interred with their bones;
So let it be with Caesar. The noble Brutus
Hath told you Caesar was ambitious:
If it were so, it was a grievous fault,…

Obama’s tactics are the Bush/Rove tactics already. He doesn’t have to adopt further.

  • truthteller2007

Barack Obama is out of touch.

  • simon

    Yes, kevin, Obama did.

And Clinton is fighting back, and winning, apparently.

I just can’t help but see a minor key Hamas when looking at Obama’s people, not quite ready to run a government, yet, best at being little wannabe’s.

Both Hamas and Obama fell apart when they tried to go big time, exposing themselves as silly little men.

And I’d go off on a stream of consciousness now, but I can’t, because, apparently, it’s confusing to those who don’t read Faulkner, and certain other republican, and democratic, strategists.

But you know, what DO hamas, and Obama have in common, other than corrupt, rank amateurs, and the good Rev Wright, and Professor Khalidi?

  • truthteller2007

No, for Hillary has been a subject of public scrutiny for 18 years. Her negatives will only decrease as she campaigns, while Obama, who is unknown to voters, will only experience an increase of his negatives. In fact, that is what is occurring as I write this sentence.

  • Mike Howell

    Kevin –

Go to sunny Liberia and read some history books that cover the McCarthy era.

It’s not being racist Kevin –

consider it as an opportunity to really get to appreciate terrorism.

Immerse yourself in militant black culture.

Then maybe you will begin to understand not only defending the vile prick McPeak, but the wicked Obamas as well.

  • Mike Howell

    Will –

    You mean U.S. citizens.

Molly, I am in absolute agreement with you, DNC is controlled by a bunch of lefties, elites out-of-touch with most main stream Americans. I & my entired family will change our party affiliation from Democrat to Independent. Democratic party deserves to lose another presidential election, if they continue to nominate the leftie candidates that leftist ideology and perceived by average Americans as unpatriotic. The DNC seems not to be able to learn from history, the are on the way to make the same mistakes. .

OBAMA has not won any big states (Except his own
) How the heck he will win the General election.
OBAMA with his Anti-American spiritual adviser will win over a war Hero McCain ?? NOT IN AMERICA where most Americans are willing to sacrify to defend their country.

I am leaving the party, and many more are thinking the same way.

  • Kat Bee

The campaign staffer says something negative about the opponent and circulates it to the media. The candidate is quick to alert the media that he is not running a negative campaign. The candidate takes the media opp to distance him/herself from the offensive comments of a member of the campaign staff. The candidate gets airtime and ink.

  • Mike Howell

Kevin – your mother’s calling you!

  • Rob G. in Chicago

When the question was asked specifically about a Hillary/McCain match-up, and was answered in the same specific context, there was not any damned inference at all with respect to Senator Obama, except in the delusional minds of some of his more deranged synchophants. The whole world does not revolve around his preciousness, and people can engage in a political discussion without any reference to him. If President Clinton (I really do like the sound of that) wanted to “dis” Senator Obama, he has a pretty good command of the English language, and could do so with either biting wit or subtlety that would escape most folks.

  • AngryWhitePerson

“Right, and that doesn’t implicitly suggest that Hillary and McCain are the only 2 of 3 candidates who love america? ”

Uh no, no it doesn’t. It implies that two of three candidates would be running against each other in November and one of them is Hillary.

  • no pasaran

I completely agree with you. The Democratic Party takes women for granted.

  • Rob G. in Chicago

    Truthteller:

Public scrutiny is an understatement. The many millions spent assessing every detail of President Clinton’s life included equally detailed scrutiny of her life by hordes of Federal agents and lawters assisting Ken Starr, not to mention the mainstream media, and turncoat Democrats like Lieberman. While the same old allegations will surely surface (like that threadbare blue dress), and a few new allegations may be created out of the fertile minds of the opposition, but most allegations have been answered to the satisfaction of all but the most obtuse, and there is no “there” there.

  • criticalthinker

Molly, I agree with you whole heartedly. I mailed back the DNC 2008 election survey and membership invitation few days ago. I told them that I always voted Dem and helped with phone banking, canvassing, events at my house, door knocking, etc. No more! I am fed up with the DNC and the so-called Dem leadership. I will not contribute to the DNC, cuz my $ is for Sen. Hillary Clinton’s campaign.

I am also thinking about writing Hillary’s name on the ballot if Obama is the nominee.

  • texas jina

On a day when Hillary Clinton and her team are acknowledging the sacrifices or our troops and coming up with a sound housing/economic plan of great complexity, Obama’s advisers are spending their time referring to this stuff!

You know, the Republicans spent 8 years trying to pull Bill Clinton ‘off-message’ and ‘off-task’. Given the thin-skinned, manufactured reactions of Obama and his advisers to everything they don’t like in the campaign, I have to ask: How quickly do you think the Republicans could pull a President Obama off HIS lofty goals? A minute-and-a-half, you say? Too slow!

Truly, there is an indescribably wide gulf between the quality of character & political maturity of Sens. Clinton and Obama. You would think even the Main Stream Media couldn’t miss it, but….

Hillary needs our support financially now. Obama will still be able to outspend her three to four times in each state, but we can help her. Every $5-25 helps. More is better if you’re able. Spread the word. We can do this.

  • BloggerBoyz

Ummmmm..yeah kind of, that’s why she wins every state where people live?

  • Cee Hussein

    Molly,

Obama isn’t fretting. Didn”t you know that he’s on a beach chillin’?

  • BloggerBoyz

Oh for god’s sakes. If John McCain doesn’t bring portable shine to the debates and chant hosannas to Obama, Obama will curl into the fetal position. Obama has been traeted better probably than any and all he does is whine and cry. God forbid a world leader look at him funny. If you think Obama can handle it, you better find a slogan along the lines of, “Our enemies will fear our mighty whine.”

Kevin–Bill Clinton just said something about how Hillary’s a good wife *and didn’t praise Obama as a husband!* When asked, he hesitated and said ‘I guess, as far as I know’!!! Quick in the ame of unity, snd someone in to say that in addition to being mean old man mean meanies, the Clintons are murderers and valdalized WH typewriters! Do it now!

  • truthteller2007

and somehow this is acceptable? i guess obama, similar to bush, will enjoy vacationing as much as possible if elected to the Presidency.

  • Cee Hussein

    Susan,

If Hill can’t manage the millions that you people sent her, she can’t handle the US economy.
Did you see that she wants to bring the godfather of our economic crisis back to chair a panel on foreclosures? Greeenspan was even in the ME telling them to that they needed to dump our dollars, yet, HILLARY wants him to help people who are losing their houses??

Raise money for her? You better put in it under your mattress for yourself or your neighbor!

  • truthteller2007

Obama cannot handle his advisors, and his economic agenda is a diluted version of the plan Hillary has proposed. And besides, how can we trust Obama with the economy when he has a record of engaging with criminals such as Rezko and Levine, two people who exploited Obama in order to gain access to Illinois’s pension funds?

  • Cee Hussein

If the Clinton campaign hadn’t decided to dig up and spread the Rev. Wright videos we may not be hearing about a blue dress again.

Oh well. Chickens do come home to roost.

Did you realize that Rev. Wright was one of the people that Bill invited to the White House to pray for him after we all learned about Monica?

Did you know that Hillary sat next to Rev. Wright?

    Cluck, cluck.

    Truthteller,

    Rezko who? LOL!!

  • TeakWoodKite

Cee they have been for sale to fund the church! There was no digging involved.

  • truthteller2007

and we witness yet again the complete and utter vacuity of a mindless obama supporter.

  • Mike Howell

    Cee Hussein –

Molly is so right. And as always you’re “Rev. Wright” – the new wrong.

BO was hiding his scaredy cat little 98 lb. weakling ass from his America hating Church on Easter Sunday.

I wonder if Michelle was stomping around kicking sand in white women’s faces? Showing the kiddies how to behave…

  • LeBrain

Whose lookin out for the white man?

  • Dem4now

I agree with Molly and many others. I am done with the Democratic Party very soon. I’ve BEEN done with Obama. The DNC can go whistle for my money for all the reasons previously stated more eloquently than I could state them. I’ve been giving it to Hillary Clinton’s campaign and will continue to do so.

Everywhere I turn I am “told” that if I am supporting Clinton it must be because… she cried or because her husband fooled around on her or because she’s a woman and so am I or any number of other ridiculous reasons…ANYTHING other than that I believe her to be the most qualified candidate to lead this country. I believe that based on her voting record, her proven abilities, her plans, her strength, and her BRAINS.

The BO campaign has made it clear that they don’t want my vote. Obviously, by their lights, I must be racist for not supporting Obama; and a McCarthy-ist and worse for supporting Clinton. They needn’t worry, because they won’t get my vote…ever. The difference is that I’m not going to threaten to go to Denver and riot if I don’t get my way. I’m simply going to vote with my feet and change my registration to “Independent.”
