That is my biggest fear as well – that he would be assassinated. It is hard enough to take all the crazed frothing and fawning over them now – comparing them to the Kennedys as well as other insanities. If we think it is overreaching now, imagine him replacing MLK as the most powerful, effective AA leader of the 20th or 21st centuries.

Sandi, this sad event with Richardson also destroys your argument for the necessity of lawsuits as a means for quality control. Richardson’s family will not be able to sue because they would in effect be suing the Canadian government. If government takes over our medical system, lawsuits would no longer be a factor for weeding out bad Doctors. In fact, bad Doctors would have greater refuge under the protective umbrella of the government than they do now, similar to the protection bad teachers have. The image that many people have of a glorious, efficient, and inexpensive government run medical system, is a cruel illusion created by equally cruel politicians to get your vote. Reality always destroys such illusions.

Here’s a sad but remarkably related news flash. It is now known that Natasha Richardson was initially sent to a medical facility in Canada for her head injury. The facility was equiped with a CT scanner but Richardson was not given the scan that may have saved her life. In the Canadian healthcare system they consider “cost benefit analysis” in their treatment of patients. Richardson didn’t qualify for a CT scan. So, in Canada, a glamorous movie star is denied the life saving treatment that is given freely to hapless drunks in the States. And you want to adopt a Canadian system here? Diana, when I saw the sheer viciousness of the left, the threats, intimidation, thuggery, hate, violence, namecalling, you name it that went on with Hillary, the primary, Palin, etc. I almost left the country back then. The left has become so Anti-American, elitist and full of BS that it’s a disgrace to this country. I have to hand it to Hillary for keeping her cool through it all. I can say for sure that I wouldn’t have. When I read the letter her DC attorney wrote to the DNC about the caucus fraud, way back in March of 2008, and saw that she was totally ignored, I knew we were in big trouble. Here we have a NY Senator, wife of a two term President, and she is treated like she’s some sort of guttersnipe. These people have no class, dignity or sense of honor. Well, any group that gives credence to Donkey Brassiere has to suck to start with.

Please let me add how Hillary was treated. There isn’t a Liberal in this world. A true Liberal that would have sat back while Olbermann was saying the things he did. While people were making the signs they did about her. While people were being called vile names for their opinions. The threats. The actual physical abuse. Trying to silence a large majority of the party. Etc…etc. Everything we seen during this election goes against the very definition of the word Liberal.

In total agreement FedUp. Too many from the party allowed their anger to cloud their judgment. We’ve seen nothing come from these people that is Pro-American. Constitutional. They ignored all the warning signs, when there were several huge red flags. Just in how he changed his mind during the primaries. First he was for it, then he was against it…on everything. His associations. “Tell me who you run with and I’ll tell you who you are.”

That is the biggest problem, the party was hijacked by Socialist/Communist under the guise of being Liberal. Liberal thinkers help/look for way for a country to progress. These people are the furthest things from Liberals.

Name one thing in that quote that has to do with the Democrats that are running things right now? How what they’re doing makes them Liberals? Or Conservative Blue Dog Democrats? How the primaries were run. Seems to me they’ve violated with HR1388 alone(The Give Act)the 13th Admendment.

We shouldn’t refuse Americans what they need, within reason. And, we should give the jobs the illegals get to the people here on welfare. Problem solved. ERs shouldn’t take people who are illegal. Period. They can get their long term health care in their own countries. Where does it stop?

We all know that there is rampant abuse of the system, like the folks that decided they could stop working and Obama would give them their free ride. Some of us who worked hard all of our lives, and are watching it all go away, don’t really give a damn anymore. Fair is fair. Watching 401ks disappear, houses go upside down, college funds, etc. vanish into thin air, and then hearing liberals whine that we have ANYTHING left at all, and to give it all to illegals or people who don’t work is really f**cked up.

I’m Fed Up, it’s not just the hospitals’ ERs, it’s also food stamps and a host of other programs, which is why border states are being hit so hard. Still, it’s hard to refuse people who are hungry or who are genuinely in need of medical attention.
