(III) What if basically all racial-minority people would subscribe to the interpretations that George Herbert Walker Bush committed monstrous, racist, hate crimes while he was the President of the United States? It will eventually come out: it is only a matter of time.

(IV) I know it may be hard to believe. However, Ronald Wilson Reagan committed horrible, racist, hate crimes during his presidency.

michelle is educated and is not a “babie”, while carla is all concerned about fashion. she is a model and not a havard graduate.

why don’t you concern yourselves with the question as to why carla was not present at the G20 summit with other 1st ladies?
do you think that she has the intelectual capability as michelle? don’t you imagine that she might have felt a bit inferior to sit with well educated women of substance?

That’s some impressive maturity and intelligence on display right there. Well done on combatting the sexist patriarchal systems of our society by attacking a female public figure’s face and hair and clothes. Hillary would be so proud.

So it seems pretty hypocritical that you are now turning around and doing the exact same thing to Michelle Obama. You are criticizing her using the same appearance-based attacks that outraged you when they were directed at women you actually liked. That is hypocritical.

I know you don’t like her, and that’s fine (although your dislike is really fanatically intense–a lot of you sound exactly like the worst of the Hillary-haters, with “Michelle” substituted for “Hillary”), but you should express that dislike in a different way.

That framework should be resisted, not reinforced. The media is judging her positively based on clothes, looks, etc. The counter to that is not to judge her negatively by the same standard. When you do that, you are still buying the framework that says this is how women in power are to be judged.

I am really uncomfortable with the ragging on Me-chelle’s physique or wardrobe that I keep seeing cropping up. Women in high positions have been judged by those factors for too long, and I don’t think we ought to contribute to it, no matter how much we may despise the particular woman.

Her lack of dignity, her galling lack of protocol awareness? Yes. Fair game. But not her dress or her height or her face.

Y’all are free to disagree, and I’m not mad at anyone over it. Just thought I’d speak up.
