Mind Control

Well, folks, I received this from an active duty officer with

experience in the field.  Just how stupid can we become?  Eliot

Cohen has an OP/ED in the W Post today in which he

“examines his conscience” on the whole subject of the

“thinking” that has governed the war.  The occasion for this is

the imminent deployment of his infantry officer son to the war

that he helped create AND screw up.  He has learned

something.  It is clear that others have not.

Someone just sent me an e-mail and questioned relying on one source. Sometimes people in the military say that some sites are blocked, but they’re actually not (the site might be down, etc.). Were you able to verify this independently?

FYI: My DailyKos story about “Mind Control” is in the recommended list. Go to the home page — http://www.dailykos.com — and look in the right column. There aren’t many comments yet, but there’s a long list of people who recommended your report/my diary.

I used to access Juan Cole on orha.centcom.mil and he was widely read and commented on by CPA staffers in Iraq, who particularly valued his comments on the Najaf clergy.

We can be grateful that the countries inMiddle East would never prohibit free speech of any kind.

ps: Juan Cole has just been deconstructed by Martin Kramer for the many falsehood Cole had posted in regards to Sharon and the Indifada…seem Cole concocted things that do not fit any sort of timeline…ah, well. If he is your hero etc etc and now block this comment in the name of free speech
