Today’s Rezko Trial Scoops (and prosecutors on $20K kickback to Obama)

Below, today’s references to Barack Obama in the gavel-to-gavel coverage of the Rezko trial, and a Chicago ABC TV station’s interview today of a dodgy Barack Obama who claimed he hadn’t had dealings with Rezko since the slumlord’s troubles “began.”

Pinnochio’s gonna need some more wood. It’s like Obama saying, earlier, that he won Michigan, and that Hillary only won two states on Tuesday’s Super 2. (Yes, there was video today on TV that showed him saying exactly that.) Uh, he wasn’t on the ballot in Michigan, you’ll recall, and she won three states on Tuesday night.

First, here’s this Fox News video interview of Chicago Tribune columnist John Kass today, via a John McCain blogger (they’re all over the Rezko trial, salivating at the prospect of Obama as the nominee):

Ah, John Kass, one of the last of the crusty, cynical reporters of yore. Tony Rezko, says the Chicago Tribune columnist, is “Barack Obama’s personal real-estate fairy.” In January, Kass penned “If you look closely, it’s plain: Rezko is Obama’s problem” (more from that below). A few days ago, Kass wrote:

… As most Clinton operatives and Republicans know, Rezko is the indicted political fixer who helped Obama buy his dream house.

The sellers split the parcel in two, one a vacant lot and one with a home. Obama got a $300,000 discount on the house. The Rezkos paid the full asking price for the lot next door. Obama, who keeps insisting he’s told us everything, until something new comes out, admitted recently that he toured the home with Tony before that magical sale. So the real estate fairy sprinkles the magic fairy dust on the Obama dream home. Obama becomes the reform candidate for president, to change American politics as we know it — except of course in Chicago, where the Daley Machine runs things.

UPDATE: Here’s a LATE ARRIVAL ARTICLE that is a must-read: “Boneheaded deal haunts house Obama built,” UK’s Times, March 7, 2008. (It’s chock full of details that will keep our regulars — like Mel, Andy, Simon, Patrick and all of you other sleuthy No Quarter readers — going for quite a while.)

Chicago’s ABC7 TV station reports that “Senator Barack Obama’s name came up Thursday at the Rezko trial” and that their reporter spoke with Obama today.

Prepare for your jaw to drop when you watch the video interview of the dodgy Obama, who actually had the “audacity” to say this today — and I’ve included the video of Monday’s press conference “mayhem” from my story, “(Pants On Fire!) Lynn Sweet: Obama and His Taking Questions on Rezko“:

That was “Black Monday” in San Antonio, as some reporters named it. For more background, see “(Pants On Fire!) Lynn Sweet: Obama and His Taking Questions on Rezko.”

From ABC7 TV station’s written story: “Obama talked about his relationship with Rezko at a news conference in Texas [that] ended with reporters shouting for the candidate to [answer] more questions, including a decision not to sit down with Chicago reporters for a long Q&A …

“Andy, you’ve been in multiple press conferences where you guys have run out of questions,” Obama said.

To appreciate the next two paragraphs, you first have to go to the ABC7 site to watch today’s video interview of Obama in Chicago.

Oh really, Mr. Obama? You say that your associations with Mr. Rezko ended “before” his troubles began? (How about that home/vacant property purchase you two did the same day while Rezko was being actively investigated by the FBI and U.S. Attorney’s office, which everyone in Chicago knew about and the Chicago media was reporting constantly?)

And, Mr. Obama, do show me the video of those press conferences where reporters have run out of questions on your relationship with Tony Rezko. (John Kass, Mark Brown and Lynn Sweet must be laughing themselves silly over that lie.)

Here are the references to Obama from the Chicago Tribune’s “gavel-to-gavel” coverage of the Rezko trial:

Defense lawyer Joe Duffy is portraying Antoin “Tony” Rezko as a victim of Stuart Levine, not a schemer who tried to rob state boards blind as the government has alleged.

Duffy mentions Levine’s close political ties to the late Mayor Harold Washington, U.S. Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill), former Gov. Jim Edgar and U.S. Rep. Luis Gutierrez (D-Chicago) as examples of how connected Levine was.

::::::::::::::

She [U.S. prosecutor Carrie Hamilton] also did not mention Sen. Barack Obama, another Rezko friend. The government alleges that $20,000 in alleged kickbacks arranged by Rezko found its way into Obama’s 2004 campaign treasury. The Rezko connection has dogged Obama on the presidential campaign trail in recent weeks and is the reason why the national media is swarming over a court case, which has almost nothing to do with the Illinois senator.

Hamilton told jurors about the government’s star witness against Rezko, Highland Park businessman Stuart Levine, who has pleaded guilty to charges that he helped Rezko rig the state boards and scheme to siphon off millions of dollars. Levine has admitted to heavy drug use, and the defense claims that has clouded his memory and led him to invent situations and schemes that never happened.

::::::::::::::

Hamilton finished remarks after an hour. She did not mention the name of Democratic presidential contender Barack Obama, whose U.S. Senate campaign in 2004 allegedly was the beneficiary of $20,000 in campaign cash from intermediaries in the kickback schemes the government says were orchestrated by Rezko.

And here’s Mark Brown today in the Chicago Sun-Times — always the questions, these Chicago newspaper people!

Obama still owes answers on house deal

If he doesn’t speak up, Rezko questions will ‘go on forever’

[...]
But until we get all the answers, we won’t really know, will we?

That’s the part Obama doesn’t seem to accept, otherwise he’d have known why my colleagues Carol Marin and Lynn Sweet were peppering him with Rezko questions the other day in Texas, which prompted the strange sight of Obama fleeing the news media.

“I don’t think it’s fair to suggest that we have been trying to hide the bone on this,” Obama told reporters prior to his exit.

While I enjoyed the colorful turn of phrase, I have to admit that’s exactly what we suspect Obama of trying to do.

From the start, he and his campaign have made it difficult for us.

The Tribune originally broke the Obama house story, and its reporters had the benefit of a face-to-face interview with the senator.

For the Sun-Times, Obama would only respond in writing to questions submitted by our reporters.

Going round and round
This had the effect of allowing his campaign to prepare precise, careful answers, but it also deprived us of the opportunity to ask logical follow-up questions and to press him for clarification. We’ve been going round and round ever since as our reporters developed their own stories on the Obama-Rezko relationship.

One such follow-up question just occurred to me the other day as I reread Obama’s original submission, in which he was asked to explain why the previous owners had dropped their asking price on the house he purchased while Rezko paid full price for the adjoining lot.

“It was our understanding that the owners had received, from another buyer, an offer for $625,000 and that therefore the Rezkos could not have offered or purchased that lot for less,” the senator wrote in November 2006.

I must have missed that at the time. Then why, I wonder, did the sellers accept the Rezkos’ offer of $625,000 if it only matched the offer they already had on the table? Or was it no longer on the table?

On one hand, this might buttress the argument Rezko wasn’t doing the Obamas a favor by making up for some deficiency in their bid, as many have suspected.

But it also could add to the evidence their respective bids were more closely coordinated than Obama has previously indicated. …

Lastly, here’s the crusty Kass in January from his column, “If you look closely, it’s plain: Rezko is Obama’s problem” :

[Obama is] the one with the long relationship with Rezko. He’ll pay for that friendship. If he wants to survive the Clintons and their ambition, Obama will have to fight back, hard. He’s been much too timid, much too gentle with them. He’s too nice, and he’s in a street fight.

“OK, well, I can’t tell who I am running against sometimes,” an exasperated Obama said the other day after another series of Clinton tag team attacks, with Bill punching low and Hillary with that roll of quarters inside her velvet glove.

Up until now, politics has been so easy for Obama, with his opponents either exploding or imploding, as he ran for the Senate in Illinois. He didn’t even have to run. Instead, he sauntered easily into Washington and then after just one speech at the 2004 convention he became the Democratic savior/rock star.

So perhaps it’s been too easy for him. When I called him the Mr. Tumnus of American politics, after the gentle, magical faun in the C.S. Lewis stories, I wasn’t joking.

Mr. Obama’s inartful dodging of reporters’ questions about Rezko will continue to haunt him. Politics won’t be so easy now with all the unanswered questions about their long relationship and that too-cozy house deal with a slumlord known to be under federal investigation at the time, not to mention his associations with Iraqi billionaire Nadhmi Auchi.

Times online link above;

The Obamas bought the mock Georgian mansion in a trust that concealed their identity behind the name Northern Trust No 10209

From the bond hearing pdf.

Other than the 62 acres, your Honor, I do not have any
other assets.
Your Honor, my wife sold the land, too, in Hyde Park
the last few weeks.
Q. Okay.
What did she get for that? Was she the only owner in
that?
A. Correct.
Q. Did she personally own it or did an L.L.C. own it?
A. She owned it in a trust, I believe.

Comment by barbh | 2008-03-07 09:46:34

TWK, I was about to post the same comment and the owner of that lot now is Rezko’s former lawyer!

Comment by TeakWoodKite | 2008-03-07 10:10:18

I would love to know what the number of the Trust was for Rezko’s wife “lot” and the fact that both Obama and Rezko’s wife had the property held in trust is similar to Rezko’s MO.

The structures of these trusts will shed some light on the way these sales where conducted. What amount of cash was infused to each trust and where did it come from/ Secured or unsecured.

I wish I could see the launguage…More later
I liked your summary last post.

Teakwoodkite— Land trusts in Illinois, like the ones used by Obama and Rezko in the Hyde Park home/lot purchase, are generally vehicles for holding title only, and funds are not transferred to the trusts. The purpose of the trusts can be for privacy, for tax purposes, to limit liability and keep the real estate from creditors, or for estate planning. The trust “owns” the real estate, and holds the real estate for the benefit of the beneficiaries. The beneficiaries of the trust enter into a trust agreement with the trustee (usually a bank), and the trust agreement is a pretty standard form that most bank trustees will not alter or revise for any reason. There are fees for establishing the trust, and annual maintenance fees for continuing to hold the real estate titloe in trust. The beneficiaries own a “personal property” interest in the trust. These transactions often close through an escrow at the office of the bank trustee or a title insurance company, and the buyers fund the escrow, and the sellers execute a “Deed in Trust” to the trust. These “Illinois Land Trusts” are very common in this state, and there is nothing inherently suspicious in their use. That is not to say that they cannot be used to conceal or obstruct inquiries or for other unsavory purposes. I’m not condemming or defending the use of land trusts in this transaction, as I have not been made aware of any improper usage in this situation. I just wanted to shed a little light on the issue, and say that further investigation may be necessary. As to the issue of the use of Illinois Land Trusts in this transaction, there may simply be no issue.

That so has hand over my ears :)
…but don’t feel bad, Obama can resist a “colorful phrase” about hiding his … just proves he has marriage issues, making public statements about it.

Are there any independent confirmations other than Obama’s campaign spokesman on this? This is some thing I would like to get square and don’t believe a word of what comes from Obama’s spokesman.

The sellers were Fredric Wondisford and his wife, Sally Radovick, both professors at the University of Chicago hospitals, where Michelle Obama served as head of external affairs. Mr Burton said that the sellers and the Obamas were not friends. Mr Burton insisted that Mr Wondisford and his wife had decided to split their property into two lots before the Obamas got involved in the deal.

Currently, US Senator and Democratic Presidential candidate Barack Obama holds both bank and investment accounts with Northern Trust based on 2006 tax filings.

Did the reporter get that from the Obama campaign? i need to scan that article again.

Campaign BO’s staffers are the only ones who have been allowed to “interview” the sellers. Then the campaign carefully released select statements to the media.

The media have tried repeatedly to interview the sellers. But the game goes, “Knock, knock.” “Who’s there?” “David Axelrod.’

Comment by TeakWoodKite | 2008-03-07 10:17:42

Michelle Obama served as head of external affairs at the hospital.

served on the histroic commision…Obama approached Rezko and could not afford the property.

Both had the properies in trust.

More later…this does more than stink. I strongly believe that Michelle Obama used her position and exerted pressure on the seller to subdivid the property or it was going to get “tied up” at the same time…why was obama making offers 25% below market value…errr To many questions!!

Comment by Rob Gard | 2008-03-07 11:14:31

I also remember reading that the historic land commission on which Michelle Obama had a position, had exclusive authority over approving subdivisions of historic land and properties, as well as exterior renovations, and that she resigned this post shortly after the house purchase was complete and the $14,000 fence built (also, that Obama paid for the fence design, and Rezko was to pay for the fence, but the contractor was stiffed by Rezko — can you say mechanics lien ?)

Comment by joe | 2008-03-07 16:41:30

She resigned before the house purchase but not before the land was subdivided, and you are correct, they approve all permits, subdivisions, ect. She used contacts to smooth the road for the fence permit, but she wasn’t on the Board then.

The big thing is the ten-foot strip purchase. That might have made the property to small to build anything other than a single-family home on due to setback and landmark requirements in the city. The whole thing stinks and might not be illegal, but it sure isn’t a “new kind of politics”. The Dem machine has been doing this in Chicago for decades.

I almost feel sorry for him, except that he knew this was coming and he decided to run for president when it would be breaking. We need a Democrat to win and restore some sanity to the executive branch, and his decision to run against some very great candidates with this hanging over him seems irresponsible. I know Hillary likes him and seems to want him to be on her ticket, but how can she invite him unless he clears up this mess of his own making and comes clean. how can he say he has great judgment and that’s better than experience and the endorsement of retired military generals and admirals when he didn’t have the judgement to stay clear of the likes of Tony, to not accept money favors that lead to his involvement in this trial. It’s one thing to be a bonehead, and it’s quite another to be evasive and irresponsible.

Susan, I am still sorting through all the info; but when you wrote:

“She [U.S. prosecutor Carrie Hamilton] also did not mention Sen. Barack Obama, another Rezko friend. The government alleges that $20,000 in alleged kickbacks arranged by Rezko found its way into Obama’s 2004 campaign treasure”

Right?

I read that quote twice, also, and what I understood was Rezko’s lawyer mentioned Obama, twice.

Which I thought was strange, you know?

Why would Rezko’s lawyer drag Obama into this, purposely?

Comment by Andy | 2008-03-07 01:14:20

This is very interesting. I found very strange the “emails” Obama’s campaign has sent the owners/sellers with specific points for them to confirm about the transaction. To the campaign but not officially nor in public. The emails were drafted by the campaign and the owner/seller just had to say “yes I confirm the above was true”

All this was on a Bloomberg note on Feb. 18th which –at least to me– reads very very fishy… (almost like coercing the sellers/owners to agree). Very strange.

It was in this article that the owners say they received “3 offers from the Obama’s and they took the last one b/c it was the best offer” (the 1.65)
But it doesn’t sound credible at all:

How on earth in 2005 would they offer 1.3M; 1.5M and finally 1.65M for a house whose asking price was 1.95M ? This was repectively: 33.33% ; 23.08 % and 15.38 % BELOW asking (and most likely market) price.
In 2005 ?…

Take a look:

Andy -

And there’s that employment issue with the sellers and Michelle Obama being a V.P. at the Chicago Univ. Hosp.

Somebody at the Hospital thought enough of Michelle’s abilities at wickedness - turning away the poor and uninsured - to employ her in that capacity and give her a gigantic raise after her hubby moved up in the Daley machine.

But it wouldn’t surprise me at all if he has “indulged” from time to time. (God knows that those constant beratements for not putting the butter away, letting the bread go stale, not making his bed properly, and being “stinky and snorey” in the mornings would make him prone to seek escape.)

Tribune reporter John Kass was great. He puts it in a nutshell about the political environment that created Obama. Obama is not from Hawaii, he is not from Kansas, he is not from Kenya. Obama is from Chicago.

Chicago has the Chicago way of doing things and the Chicago political machine. There always has been a revolving door from high political office to disgrace and prison for Chicago politicians and their cronies.

The fact that Michelle Obama was an assistant to Mayor Daley, and the daughter of a precinct captain was an interesting revelation for me. Maybe we could say Obama married into the machine.

Comment by Rob Gard | 2008-03-07 11:33:32

Just like the current Governor of Illinois, another good buddy (and beneficiary) of Rezko. His wife is the daughter of a very powerful Chicago Alderman, and the Governor would not hold his office but for “The Machine”. Since he assumed the office of Governor, he has had a major and very public falling-out with his father in law, and now Patrick Fitgerald and the Fed sharks are smelling blood and are closing in for the kill.

Hillary lives in a fantasy world, she actually believes she can just wave her wand of deceit, confusion & distraction and whatever her Royal Highness says is to be accepted as truth. She misleads the public over and over again and when she’s exposed she tells the American public to believe her simply because that’s what she has ordered us to do. Yes, Her Royal Hinney - rules apply to you too.

Hillary from the looks of your photo with Rezko you’ve had a nice long 15yr (at least) relationship with Rezko yourself. You can lie about this photo but how about the Rezko checks given to your presidential campaign Co-Chair - Antonio Villaraigosa.

What’s it all about, Hilllllarrryyyyy?
We know what Obama bought from the Rezkos now tell the American people what Rezko bought from you.

So, genius decipher master, tell us,…what is the connection outside a picture?

“that’s what she has ordered us to do”
You take orders from people on TV?
Where are these orders?

Obamatrons and their pals do the same/old and with certain dimwits it will work. That’s because certain dimwits believe that if a tree falls in the forest, “it’s Hillary Clinton’s fault.” They have about a much “judgement” as their Idol.

Second - I’m blown away at how pathological Barack Obama is. He’s like Dick Cheney lying until everybody spends tons of time and energy prvoing what a liar he is on any give issue or action.

Then Obama like Cheney simply continues to repeat the same lies.

All that crap over Bill Clinton and Monica Lewinsky and I was furious that he lied about a blow job.

But Barack Obama says he was NEVER a Muslim? He admitted praying to Allah with his Muslim step-father? His siblings are Muslim. Why lie? Why insult his family?

Barack originally denied knowing Tony Rezo very well “we have luch or dinner a few times a year” and then finally on George Stephanopoulas’ show says he had a 20 year friendship with him.

So why return his cash if he’s your buddy?

Why is he your buddy if he’s so corrupt that you can’t keep his campaign donations?

Will the Obamas give the mansion to charity also?

It’s a defense against internal terror.

The target is stuck, realizes he is facing circumstances which overwhelm and TERRIFY him, is unable to cope, and think, so he adapts a posture of internal psychological intractability, seemingly crazy, immobilized, paralyzed from fear.

But once you understand WHERE it’s coming from, it’s very easy to handle, the problem being when someone is so self unaware, driven by his fears, he’s very easy to manipulate.

The psychological triggers are easy to identify, the responses inherently predictable, the defense very childlike in it’s response, so it’s represents a weakness.

Again, this is why it’s so necessary to vet the presidential candidates, America deserves better than a Kim Jong-Il in the Presidency, or vice Presidency.

Hey yo, Lump,
Trump this, shithead.
http://thecaucus.blogs.nytimes.com/2008/01/25/the-rezko-clinton-connection/

“Mr. Rezko, who was once a major fund-raiser for Senator Barack Obama, Mrs. Clinton’s top rival for the Democratic presidential nomination, has never donated money to either President Clinton or Mrs. Clinton, records show.”

Here’s your backdrop, slackjaw:
“According to the 1997 story in the Chicago Tribune, both Bill and Hillary Rodham Clinton attended the fund-raiser for Senator Moseley-Braun on June 25, 1997. And the next day, records show, one of Mr. Rezko’s companies donated $10,000 to a state Democratic party organization that was supporting Ms. Moseley-Braun, records show.”

You remember Moseley-Braun, one of two senators, Paul Simon being the other, who voted for the Authorization to use force on Iraq.

“Mr. Rezko raised at least $150,000 for Mr. Obama’s political campaigns from 1997 to 2004, and his wife later sold a strip of land to the Obamas to enable them to expand their yard”

When you speak, lump, make sure you footnote your shit besides just passing on links from FoxNews of a photo without the backstory.

Demonstrate the relationship for us, Lump.
Then explain why it took so much prodding for Obama to give back his donations and the influence Rezko had with him over a 17yr relationship.

Wanna play some hardball, then get your fucking ducks in a row. You’ve been drinkin that punch again, ain’tcha.

The folks I know have enough political paraphernalia to fill several Presidential libraries.

I have a political photo or two in one of my offices and the Presidents with me have never asked me for a mansion. That includes Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton.

There’s a big damn difference between campaign donors and pay to play the Chicago way.

What rock have you been hiding under?

>>> That includes Jimmy Carter

My pics of JC and me in FL in 1976 and my invitation to a White House thing in ‘78 are the only things in the house I’d carry out if it caught fire.

Exactly Fred,

If I published all my photos of famous folks how would that establish a “relationship”?
Don’t get me wrong, I’d love to have 10 year relationship with 2 former presidents I have photos with.

My bank account would love the photo I have with Bill Gates. My music career would be a big benefit because I have hundreds of photos.

I’ve done radio for about a decade and it allowed me to interview a plethora of people. I want to get all the perks of those many years of “RELATIONSHIPS”.

Imagine if I could do that, wow. Sting, Rolling Stones, ZZTop, and so many more. But alas they are simply photos.

I’d hate to see them be smeared by their “relationship” with me. I’m a loudmouth scot who doesn’t take shit, so I’m sure the Dalai Lama would burn in hell over the photo with him.

Oh for the love of god. LOOK at this KASS COLUMN in which he mocks that photo:

… the crusty Kass in January from his column, “If you look closely, it’s plain: Rezko is Obama’s problem” …

I can’t quote ALL of Kass’s columns and didn’t include that section because, uh, I thought people were informed enough not to bring up that old no-there-there baloney.

“I don’t think it’s fair to suggest that we have been trying to hide the bone on this,” Obama told reporters prior to his exit.

At least Obama admitted he is a dog. The first step to recovery is accepting responsibility. Perhaps the truth will finally be coming forth now.

Fleaflicker not a dog… it is a sexual reference. I am amazed he said this in public as it proves what sexist pig he is. ewww.

Like Ann Althouse said about Obama’s I don’t think it is fair to suggest somehow that we have been trying to hide the bone on this.

“And that real estate transaction, it was “a boneheaded move.” No one wants to pay attention to Rezko, and for some reason, Obama’s answers all contain the word “bone.” Surely, there’s a skeleton somewhere.”

Sort of like that ubiquitous phrase, “my bad,” that runs around too much now.

Describing one’s past action as a, “boneheaded move,” does nothing to inspire confidence in one’s judgment, in my view.

“Ooops! Launched those Minutemen III’s because of a flock of geese! My bad! What a boneheaded move on MY part!”

I stand by my December prediction: by 15 April, Senator Hope-a-Dope will be old news, below the fold.

Susan this was an amazing summary of what’s on the table out there. Thank you.
Very interesting indeed. The interviewsby Shaw of ABC are laughable.

The Times piece is excellent. It is shameful that except for some of the Chicago’s journalists and their pieces in Chicago papers; a foreign media paper is the only MSM doing any serious investigative reporting.

I don;t know where did I read that the owner asking price for the 2 lots together (before “the magic split”) was about 2.2M .

Does anyone know or has heard about this? (Help)

Thank you for bringing us this post !!

grannyhelen had asked before why Obama was spending all of Thursday in Chicago. Now we know why: Rezko damage control.

LOOK WHO IS RAISING THE OBAMA/REZKO CONNECTION…
http://www.peterfpaul.com/

Media Protects Hillary’s Role in Bill Clinton’s Civil Fraud Case in Los Angeles
Hillary and Bill Clinton have made a significant issue about how the press is treating Hillary unfairly in their hyper-critical reporting on her and their “softball” reporting on Barak Obama. Hillary maintains she has been fully investigated by the media and Barak hasn’t!

As the Tony Rezko trial begins in Chicago, Clinton and her surrogates are linking Obama to Rezko and the media is speculating about whether Obama will be called to testify as a witness in the case. Obama admits he received $85,000 in contributions from Rezko which Obama has donated to charity rather than keep
Yet the civil fraud trial of Bill Clinton, Grammy’s producer Gary Smith and Clinton intimate and fundraiser Jim Levin, for defrauduing Hillary’s largest donor in 2000, which has been pending in Los Angeles since 2003, and now preparing for a November, 2008 trial has NEVER been announced by the mainstream media.
Hillary was able to extricate herself as a co-defendant in the case in January, 2008 after years of appeals relating to her efforts to use of First Amendment protections from tort claims arising out of federal campaign solicitations to be extricated as a defendant after the California Supreme Court refused to dismiss her from the case in 2004.
Hillary will be called as a witness in both discovery and the trial according to the trial court Judge who so-advised Hillary’s attorney David Kendall when he dismissed Hillary as a co-defendant in 2007. A subpoena is being prepared this month and will be served personally on Hillary, along with Chelsea, Pa Gov. Ed Rendell, Al Gore and other well known political and media figures.

Yet the media has refused to report about this landmark civil fraud case- brought by Hillary’s biggest 2000 donor to her Senate race, regarding allegations that were corroborated by the Department of Justice in the criminal trial of Hillary’s finance director David Rosen in May, 2005. That indictment and trial was credited as resulting from the civil suit’s allegations by Peter Paul, the Hollywood dot com millionaire Bill Clinton convinced to donate more than $1.2 million (according to the DOJ prosecutors and the FBI) to Hillary’s Senate campaign as part of a post White House business deal with Bill.
The media - except for World Net Daily- has also suspiciously refused to report on Hillary’s last FEC report regarding her 2000 Senate campaign, filed in January 30, 2006. In a secret settlement of an FEC complaint by the plaintiff in Paul v Clinton, Peter Paul, the FEC fined Hillary’s campaign $35,000 for hiding more than $720,000 in donations from Paul, and it required Hillary’s campaign to file a 4th amended FEC report.

In that report Hillary and her campaign again hid Paul’s $1.2 million contribution to her campaign and falsely attributed $250,000 as being donated by Paul’s partner, Spider Man creator Stan Lee, who swore in a video taped deposition he never gave Hillary or her campaign any money.

Lee did testify to trading $100,000 checks with Paul to make it appear he gave $100,000 to Hillary’s campaign (admission of a felony) but none of that has been reported by the “overly critical” media!

Where is the outrage from Obama that the press is engaging in a double standard relating to his possible role in the Rezko trial and his refunding the $85,000 contributed to his campaign by Rezko- which Obama has always admitted taking. The media makes no mention of Hillary’s role as a witness in Bill’s fraud trial for defrauding Hillary’s largest donor- and Hillary’s refusal to refund the $1.2 million she illegally received from Paul, which she has denied taking from Paul ever since the Washington Post asked her about Paul and his felony convictions from the 1970’s before her first Senate election in 2000?

If your were a US Senator; wouldn’t you have to know of Rezko foreign deals in 2005? And you still ask him to help out buying your “dream home” ? Gee..
May not be illegal but it surely is stupid.
