As far as someone bringing up Dan Quayle? After Cheney no one will EVER minimize the office of VP. The VP needs to be qualified to be president in case something strange were to happen and the pres is sick or worse. These days no one is pretending otherwise. So using the Quayle argument doesn’t wash at all. She claimed her and McCain were the only ones ready to go. That was a major insult. To portray it otherwise is foolish. She knew exactly what she was saying.
