As noted in this comment thread, Obama’s NCLR speech was at 1:50, but since Obama would gain an hour hopping a time zone back to Chicago, let’s say his speech was at 12:50. How long did it last.. 30 minutes? An hour? Let’s say, with schmoozing time included, Obama spent an hour at NCLR. Now it’s 1:50. He would have to fight Miami’s traffic to make it back to his jet, then the jet has to be cleared for takeoff; I’ll give you the time benefit here and say that would all take an hour even though we both know it would take longer. Regardless, now it’s 2:50 and Obama is in the air. It’s going to take him 3 hours to get back to Chicago, land, and exit the airport — By that time, it’s 5:50pm, Central time. And he still has to fight traffic.

Face the facts, people — it was impossible for Obama to have gone to Pastor Wright’s church on July 22. Impossible.

why is everyone so intent upon smearing Obama for his pastor’s words? This smacks of McCarthyism.

Obama sat in a church, listening to his pastor, i(in whom some put absolute faith), denigrate Americans, America, women, and white people.

Is this Obama’s philosophy, too? Should we disregard Obama’s relationship to Wright, because “he’s not really like that…” Is Obama a black supremacist, an America hater, the black equivalent to Timothy McVeigh? (He hated America, too). Is this common sense to encourage hate? Obama lies, flat out, and not very well.

As reported earlier today, Bill Kristol made what Marc Ambinder a “major, prejudicial error” about Obama in his NY Times column today. Kristol has acknowleged — and regrets — the error. Kristol should regret the error. Kristol should never have made the error in the first place:

Has Kristol learned that the right wing site, NewsMax, might not be a reliable source? Has the NY Times learned that Kristol isn’t reliable?

The issue:
How can the President of the United States have a spiritual advisior, close friend and consultant who has said “God Damn America?”

This is true. I did some Google search, and found out his church last year. I have the good judgment to conclude this church is controversial, to say the least.

MR. OBAMA NEEDS TO RELEASE HIS FULL SCHEDULE AND FULL CALENDAR so we can compare the dates he attended services + the sermons that Rev. Wright gave on those dates.

Many attendees walked from Hall B across the large Miami Beach Convention Center, to stand in line in Hall D where Obama was scheduled to speak at 1:30 pm. The audience waited impatiently until 1:50 when Janet Murguía, president and CEO, NCLR and Maria Pesqueira of Mujeres Latinas en Accion, an NCLR affiliate, welcomed Obama enthusiastically.

Even if he was at the 11:00 A.M. service, ducked out early, he’d have about two hours to show up to give his speech at 1:50 P.M.

Not to mention he could have been spotted at the evening service.

You have to ask - why would a reporter write they say him at a service a year ago before any of this mattered much?
