This statement does not appear in the video, because Kerry didn’t say it. You’re lying. Okay so far?

So who did say it? As I pointed out above, the statement was actually made by NBC pundit Mike Melori, in his commments, i.e., his interpretation of Kerry’s comments.

So you’ve fucked up twice. First by claiming that Kerry said this, and second by failing to identify the source from which you cribbed the statement.

Incidentally, Mike Memoli’s piece, which I read last night, has been disappeared from the web, presumably because not even MSNBC could stomach the sheer stupidity of it.

Since you disingenouously fail to provide a link to the place from which you stole your talking points, I’ll simply guess that you took it from here, which sort of seems like the breathless kind of site you’d enjoy.

As you’ll note, the false attribution is embedded in the headline with quotation marks, a sloppy bit of journalism which implies that it is actually something Kerry said. And let’s face it, you’re just dumbly desperate enough to lap it right up.

In my comment above, I said “My bet, coward, is that you won’t cop to an error.” Boy, did I ever peg you right. Glad to see my instincts are still solid in this regard.

One of the reasons that the media elite punditry always hated the Clintons was because they were not rich, and actually exemplified the American Dream that “anyone can be President.” Nothing plutocrats hate more than people who are Not Their Sort.

Hillary and Bill are rich now, but they haven’t forgotten their roots.

The “Update” is something the site administrators added while I was out last night. My original post had a link to the youtube video. Apparently while I was out the embed for the video became available and that was what was added.

What IS true is that Kerry was saying on the video just exactly what is quoted in my piece. I quote it again below so that you can look it over and put 2+2 together. Not sure why so many Obama followers can’t connect the dots. I learned how to do that before grade school.

Well, it’s like this, Teak. Fleadiggler based an entire piece on a lie– the contention that John Kerry said “the color of Obama’s skin makes him uniquely qualified for president and even reach out to the moderate Islam world”.

John Kerry didn’t say that. It’s a lie. Strictly speaking, it’s slander. Okay so far?

Is it wrong to lie about and slander any political candidate or politician, or just the ones you support?

You must decide, grasshopper.

If you agree with Flea that a lie in service of a cause you support is okay, then you are in some rich company: Rush Limbaugh. Sean Hannity. Ann Coulter. And of course, George W Bush. These are the people you and Flea share your moral outlook with, if not your political views.

Thing is, Obama’s qualifications for the office are worth discussing, as is his judgment, but you’re not discussing that. Instead, you’re copying talking points from right wing nutblogs like newsmax and townhall.

Here, let me give you an example of what an informed discussion might look like: Obama has, as foreign policy advisor, Zbigniew Brzezinski.

Is the architect of the “Afghan Trap”– which brought together the elements of what was later to become Al Qaeda– an appropriate choice for dealing with an inflamed middle east? It could be argued that Zbig created this situation, so why the hell is Obama taking advice from this guy?

Good questions. But you and Fleatickler will never trouble your heads with them, because then you’d have to find out what the Afghan Trap was, and read all sorts of boring history, and learn facts, and think hard about human behavior, instead of repeating a bunch of National Enquirer grade gossip about Obama’s Pastor.

And let’s face it: It’s obvious that for you and Flea, thinking is work.

That goes for the rest of ya too. What this blog has become in the past coupla months is disgusting beyond words, and I care far too deeply about the hard work put into it by Larry and Susan– who seem to have put their consciences on holiday lately– to see it fucked up by a nursery school full of retarded children.

Didn’t he run ads in Nevada begging Republicans to register as Democrats for a day? Didn’t he urge Republicans in Iowa to crossover and vote for him? Hasn’t he been just this week blocking the re-vote in Michigan because Republican primary voters would not be allowed to vote? Hasn’t Obama been running ads nonstop in Pennsylvania urging Republicans to register as Democrats fo rhte primary?

It is Obama who has been courting Republicans for a year. Not Clinton. She does not brag about herr Republican support. Republicans hate Hillary, they always have and she knows it.

My own feelings, based on having lived in Turkey for several years, is that most Americans would do well to have the sort of tolerant attitude toward Muslims that has characterized Muslim attitudes toward the West.

Are there extremists, only a fool wouldn’t know that there are. But once again, the story is complicated and therefore no one wants to take the time to understand, especially when we can just nurse our outrage.
