If only it were that simple Amaliada. It’s the DNC – Howard Dean and Donna Brazile that keep changing their interpretation of their punishment – originally they agreed to strip 50 per cent of the delegates. Brazile is simply in the bag for Obama. And FL & MI were not the only states in violation. Just the only ones punished. The RNC had no problems – and simply reduced by 50 per cent the delegates awarded. That’s not good enough for Obama.
Please tell me – who put Obama in charge? Again, I’ve accepted that my voice may not count but to deny vets and those in active duty is truly beyond the pale.
There is a precedent there already.

And yes, caucuses are not an indicator of votes.

Using timelines and using the kind of agitprop they crank out are different entirely. A presentation disclaimer could distinguish such differences.

You are deluded. Obama has objected to anything but a “split” in Fla, for openers. Only a revote in ea state would matter, and he knows he loses both states.

I’m actually unimpressed by anti-anybody rhetoric. How do you portray your candidate in a more positive light by portraying your candidate’s opponents in a negative light? Supporters of all three of the remaining candidates, McCain, Clinton and Obama, are guilty of this, and it replaces a reasonable discussion of the issues to everybody’s detriment.

I refuse to attack the views of others (and those others themselves) in discussing the election, and I guess that makes me a sanctimonious phony. Go ahead and vent your spleens, and I’m sorry to have troubled you.

So, the fact that everyone agreed to these stupid rules (no primaries or caucuses before February 5) OVER a year ago means nothing now.

Give me a break.

I’m not an Obama supporter, nor am I a Clinton supporter. I’m still on board with Edwards.

My own state party disenfranchised me because I’m currently outside the US and only voters able to attend the caucus got a voice.

These rules were stupid from get go, but MI and FL challenged the DNC and lost. That’s how it goes. Might not be fair or fun or even what people want but I blame the state parties for calling bluff and getting caught out.

Let’s ensure that everyone can participate, not just those able to attend a caucus.

I wonder if the DNC has been hijacked by a DEM or two who are republicans. I want every DNC worker to submit to a background check and a lie detector. I talked to a DNC person who was in charge of voter fraud About 2 or three years ago. We argued because he was saying something really stupid. (Like polls and exit polls are the same in reliability) I was pissed off and said that was stupid and why was he arguing with me….and that I said, “You sound like a Republican!”. He answered, “And what is wrong with that?” I nearly lost my mind. I said something nasty and hung up. I then called every Democrat I could think of to report this. Whether anything was done is unknown to me. I also wondered why the Democratic headquarters was entirely remodeled in the year just before the 2004 election. I always feared the workers probably seeded the whole place with bugs. And how difficult would it be for Republicans to get some of their people on the payroll to do nasty things. I was always suspicious of Donna Brazile as being a DINO.

The DNC has decided to let Obama have his way and not force a revote. They and Pelosi and a few others have given in to his tantrums. They are afraid he will take his ball and go home. If The DNC really wanted new primaries they would threaten him with accept new primaries or Hillary gets the votes and delegates she has already won. And if Obama actually thought she could never win he would give her the states she won to shut her up and get on to the convention. BUT that is not the caes. He is stalling. Running out the clock and he will lose in the GE, but he doesn’t care. And I am afraid the GOP will tie his anti-American preacher around all Dems to prevent the Dems from really taking control of the Congress. The real problem is that Obama may have coattails, but not the kind we need.

my answer..it would be if this hadn’t been planned and executed by Dean and Donna brazile and the Obama camp..

but it is obvious now to many of us lifelong working dems..that this was planned and executed.

Dean planned this..that is why instead of applauding the dens in Fla for getting rid of the damn voting machines and mandating VVPB..we got sanctioned and South Carolina did not!

Dean and the Obama camp planned to steal Florida or disenfranchise us, if they couldn’t force us into an open caucus here.. to steal it.

Other people in the country may not understand it..but we Floridians understand it well.

Dean is the most disliked Dem in Florida..and that is not going to change anytime soon!
