It’s in the Genes!

When the lights go down and the cameras are put away, we begin to let lose our defenses. We say more of what we really mean rather than the politically correct day-to-day conversations the conventions of society force upon us. Senator Barack Obama had one of those moments Thursday when talking with WIP sports radio in Philadelphia. At first Obama felt that he needed to come to his grandmother’s defense. He had, as recently as Tuesday told the world that his grandmother had made disparaging remarks about black people that made him “cringe.” In fact I wrote a diary about it that you can find Here. So seeking to clarify what he meant to say (He does that a lot) Obama “revised and extended” his remarks to include:

The point I was making was not that grandmother harbors any racial animosity. She doesn’t.

But that isn’t what he said on Tuesday. No, Obama decided to throw grandma under the bus while comparing her transgressions with those of Reverend Wright. You might say the comparison was a slight exaggeration cause I am not so sure granny blamed the black man for every ill on the face of the earth. In case you missed it here is what Barack Obama said about his “white” grandmother:

….who on more than one occasion has uttered racial or ethnic stereotypes that made me cringe.

So after defending his grandmother by taking back what he said on Monday, Obama then further clarified his explanation giving us clues as to what resides in that Harvard-educated brain of his. Or is that a 6th grade education stuffed up inside that giant brain of his? No offense to Jethro Bodine intended.

Typical White Person

But she is a typical white person, who, if she sees somebody on the street that she doesn’t know, you know, there’s a reaction that’s been bred in our experiences that don’t go away and that sometimes come out in the wrong way, and that’s just the nature of race in our society.

So according to Obama, white racial attitudes have been bred into our makeup. In other words, they are genetic predispositions that we cannot help but exhibit. Or to take Obama’s reasoning toward it’s logical conclusion: White people are racists because it is in their genes. Now where have I heard that before? As it turns out, this belief is held by a good friend of Senator Obama’s spiritual mentor, Jeremiah Wright. Yes, none other than Louis Farrakhan of the Nation of Islam, the guy Obama’s church stated had “truly epitomized greatness” has a similar view of white people, which he refers to as “potential humans.”

Yakub

According to the Nation of Islam (NOI), Yakub (also spelled Yacub or Yakob), was an evil scientist responsible for creating the white race — a race of devils, in their view. Yakub created white people by a process of grafting the “black germ” to a “white germ” from the original black population of the world.

And I thought the Church of Scientology and their alien ancestors were bizarre.

So… white people are racists because racism has been bred into us. Hmmmmmm…..

An amazing fact is that one of the discoverers of the DNA helix thought that he could make a generalization about race too. After all, he was an expert concerning genetics. But James Watson made a huge error by claiming something to be true which had no basis in fact.

The elementary DNA of Dr Watson

He says that he is “inherently gloomy about the prospect of Africa” because “all our social policies are based on the fact that their intelligence is the same as ours – whereas all the testing says not really”

You see where making generalizations gets someone into trouble? People do it all the time. And when we have politicians doing it we know that we are in for some real trouble. Now if you aren’t bamboozled by Obama’s charisma and hoodwinked by all of his lies, I will break this all down for you. Because it is very important that everyone understand just exactly what is going on here.

The Merriam Webster dictionary defines the word stereotype as: something conforming to a fixed or general pattern; especially : a standardized mental picture that is held in common by members of a group and that represents an oversimplified opinion, prejudiced attitude, or uncritical judgment.

So Obama’s point is that his grandmother on more than one occasion uttered racial stereotypes that demonstrated her oversimplified opinion, her prejudiced attitude and her uncritical judgment. And according to Obama his grandmother is a “typical white person” that has had these characteristics “bred” into her. Apparently there was a concerted effort on someone’s part to breed these characteristics into the genetic pool of all white people.

Is Obama suggesting that the evil scientist Yakub did this to us? On this point Obama is silent. But what is evident is that Senator Obama wasn’t prepared for the backlash his comments unleashed.

What He Hoped He Said

Ben LaBolt, an Obama spokesman, offered the following clarification: “Barack Obama said specifically that he didn’t believe his grandmother harbored any racial animosity but that her fears were understandable and typical of those often shared by her generation.” But the campaign also said the senator did not mean to suggest all white people share his grandmother’s reaction to seeing a black person pass her by on the street. “His intentions may have been misconstrued,” LaBolt said.

Somehow I don’t accept this most recent “clarification” for what Obama meant when he used the phrase: “bred in our experiences that don’t go away.” There is a huge difference between Obama’s unfortunate phrase and Mr. La Bolt’s clarification. Because Obama did also use the phrase “typical white person” as if there was such a thing. And if Obama does believe that there is a “typical white person” will he please define for us just exactly what the characteristics of a “typical white person” are except as he has already described: that we are afraid of black people we don’t know going down the street.

Anytime we over-generalize about race we are going to make mistakes. And some of the mistakes will be huge ones. In Obama’s case, I think he is in a category all to himself with his whopper of an over-generalization. On one hand he talks about his grandmother’s use of racial stereotypes in a speech that some have hailed as the best speech on race since “I Have a Dream.” And then a few days later we have this same man, Barack Obama, making a blatant racial stereotype himself in describing his grandmother as a “typical white person.”

Senator Obama may give conflicting explanations for why we have race problems and what those problems are. But one thing is for certain. And this is not an over-generalization. Despite all the hope hype and the parade of sycophants, Barack Obama is just “a typical politician.”

I thought Axelrod also clarified Obama’s Typical White Person statement! Maybe Ben is clarifying David’s clarification on Obama’s clarification to the statement he made that threw Grandma under the bus.

So we have clarification people for both Michelle and Obama every time they utter one of the messages in their hearts and minds from the teaching of Reverend White.

Thanks Fleaflicker. Your comments are always well thought out, and dead on. “Parade of sycophants” indeed. When will the madness stop? To me, it is still incomprehensible that he is closely associated with the notorious Farrakhan and he has not been exiled for this reason alone. The lack of experience, the poor judgment, the lying, and the hypocrisy–and still the sycophants rant and rave about Hillary. I can’t wait for this nightmare to end. Thank God we have voices like yours continuing to speak the truth.

I agree with you Fran. I don’t get why his association with Farrakhan in itself isn’t a deal breaker with the party. The normal Democrats I speak with don’t take this too kindly. And thanks!

In a different connection, HIllary said, “The American people don’t care about what some person they never heard of said about some other person they never heard of.”

Some of us never heard of Farrakin(sp?) and Hamas is some mysterious Middle Eastern thing made of garbanzo beans. Such charges just sound like Wingnut fiction.

But the Wright tapes are different.

I wonder if the DNC has been hijacked by a DEM or two who are republicans. I think every DNC worker should submit to a background check and a lie detector. I talked to a DNC person who was in charge of voter fraud about 2 or three years ago. We argued because he was saying something really stupid. (Like polls and exit polls are the same in reliability) I was pissed off and said that was stupid and why was he arguing with me….and then I said, “You sound like a Republican!”. He answered, “And what is wrong with that?” I nearly lost my mind. I said something nasty and hung up. I then called every Democrat I could think of to report this. Whether anything was done is unknown to me. I also wondered why the Democratic headquarters was entirely remodeled in the year just before the 2004 election. Everything was in such disaray just months before the election. I always feared the workers probably seeded the whole place with bugs. And how difficult would it be for Republicans to get some of their people on the payroll to do nasty things. (I was always suspicious of Donna Brazile as being a DINO). But the current fiasco concerning the MI and FL primary…or refusal to have one that counts, only seems to point to people in power, or in place, who are sabatoging our chances to win the GE.

when will the media acknowledge the explosion?

Unfortunately except Fox and occasionally CNN and ABC, everyone else seems to be giving him a pass.

When I listened to all these pundits gushing about Obama’s race speech it really made me sick. If this speech is really the best speech since MLK’s I Have A Dream then there is something terribly wrong in America.

Obama can’t even keep his lies straight.

This is what happens when people get used to adulation coming from all directions- they develop a contempt for their audience. Sometimes, that contempt can turn into an absolute loathing. My guess is that Obama knows that he isn’t worthy of all this hero-worship, and he’s grown to hate the people who shower him with praise and gush to the point where he feels completely put out when called upon to explain himself from time to time.

He made a speech about racism which he, himself probably knew was total bullshit. When the media reacted with mostly glowing reviews, Obama’s disgust of the masses grew even more intense.

Obama will continue to challenge us, and the media, to react badly to him. And every time we greet his latest steaming pile of crap as if he just gave us a bouquet of roses, he’ll become more contemptuous of us. He’s already past being careful to make sure his statements are consistent with those that have come before. He doesn’t care because we don’t seem to.

Like Gary Hart daring the media to follow him around until he got caught, Obama will continue to self-destruct. The only question is, when will the media acknowledge the explosion?

Comment by Alibe | 2008-03-22 17:25:51

I think this is a very astute observation. He does seem to be depressed. His answers seem almost nonchalant. I think he is bored by the process already. He only wanted to be elected president. He really didn’t have any ability or desire to govern. He alawys seemed to just want to fulfill the dream of his father and validate his existence. He doesn’t have a plan to be President. Speeches do not make a presidency.

Comment by grtphoto | 2008-03-22 19:32:16

Both of your observations sound familiar; Bush in 1999 being “picked”by all of those handlers (not be confused with the SC decision) to be president. He didn’t feel that he had to do all the other stuff, just be prez. The behavior is the same, a disregard for the audience because their is no respect for the audience. It’s narcissism at it’s highest.

See “The Unlikely Political Education of Barack Obama — The Agitator” about his Chicago ‘community organizing’, of the school of Saul Alinksy.

That consisted of ‘rubbing raw the sores of discontent’ till a mob could be collected — than step in to ‘unify’ or ‘mediate’ between that mob and the people who didn’t want their windows broken. Obama’s value was that he could speak both languages.

In that situation, the two sides were isolated. He could play to each side separately. The boardroom people weren’t listening to his speeches in the back yard basement, and the mob sure wasn’t invited to his conferences in the boardroom.

He might be counting on the same pattern here, and so far the mainstream press has acted more as insulator than as conductor. (At least one MSM network bought the Wright tapes long ago, but sat on them till Fox started broadcasting them. MSM has protected him against this exposure as though it were a sex affair.)

Pundits and MSM are scratching their heads trying to come up with an explanation as to why Obama stayed and continues to stay with Rev. Wright.

The answer is the simplest one…Obama believes what Rev. Wright believes. If anybody else was in a similar situation like Obama, that would have been the immediate and logical conclusion. Why not in this case is beyond me. 20 years and continuing, Unbelievable!

Comment by Andy | 2008-03-22 20:18:20

That is indeed the only reasonable explanation.
Obama himself said that much about Wright: “he is a part of me”

So, do we want a President who carries Wright as part of who he is?

Comment by Mostest | 2008-03-22 21:38:37

Excellent point. Obama did say that Rev. Wright was as much a part of him as his white grandmother. Wow, Obama is hiding in plain sight!

Comment by Fleaflicker | 2008-03-22 23:08:10

I think Obama was there when Wright did his gyrations during his “like Bill did to Monica” rant. Real classy stuff by the way. Excellent man of God creds. I think that Obama truly HATES Bill and Hillary Clinton.

Comment by 1950democrat | 2008-03-23 08:32:34

Well, Obama might have missed some of Wright’s more extreme sermons. But as to the overall attitude and philosophy, Obama has said that, being raised agnostic, Wright’s ‘African Gospel’ or whatever it’s called, was the first version of Christianity that ever emotionally connected with him, that ‘converted’ him TO Christianity.

As to Obama’s deeper emotional patterns, Steve Sailer is doing a blog where he actually reads DREAMS and pulls facts from the verbiage. He found and summarized the grandmother/bus story, plus what 17-year-old Obama’s mentor at that time, the communist ‘Frank’, said — which fits with what Wright is preaching.

Imo the striking thing in that story in DREAMS, is the white grandfather’s attitude. The grandmother wants a ride to work because at the bus stop she was threatened by a bum. Grandfather refuses to give her a ride — because she described the bum as Black.

Comment by 1950democrat | 2008-03-23 08:40:28

Quoting from Steve Sailer’s blog at http://isteve.blogspot.com/2008/03/obama-throws-his-own-living-grannie.html

The quote marks show what Sailer is quoting from DREAMS.
—————————————————-

One day, the 16-18 year old Obama wakes up to an argument between his grandmother and grandfather. She didn’t want to ride the bus because she had been hassled by a bum at the bus stop. She tells him:

“Her lips pursed with irritation. ‘He was very aggressive, Barry. Very aggressive. I gave him a dollar and he kept asking. If the bus hadn’t come, I think he might have hit me over the head.”

So why didn’t Obama’s lefty grandfather want to drive his own wife to work? Because to help his wife avoid the hostile, dangerous panhandler would be morally wrong, because the potential mugger was … Well, I’ll let Sen. Obama tell the story:

“[ The grandfather ] turned around and I saw that he was shaking. ‘It is a big deal. It’s a big deal to me. She’s been bothered by men before. You know why she’s so scared this time. I’ll tell you why. Before you came in, she told me the fella was black.’ He whispered the word. ‘That’s the real reason why she’s bothered. And I just don’t think that right.’

“The words were like a fist in my stomach, and I wobbled to regain my composure. In my steadiest voice, I told him that such an attitude bothered me, too, but reassured him that Toot’s fears would pass and that we should give her a ride in the meantime. Gramps slumped into a chair in the living room and said he was sorry he had told me. Before my eyes, he grew small and old and very sad. I put my hand on his shoulder and told him that it was all right, I understood.

“We remained like that for several minutes, in painful silence. Finally he insisted that he drive Toot after all, and I thought about my grandparents. They had sacrificed again and again for me. They had poured all their lingering hopes into my success. Never had they given me reason to doubt their love; I doubted if they ever would. And yet I knew that men who might easily have been my brothers could still inspire their rawest fear.”

Then Obama drives over for counseling to the house of his grandfather’s friend Frank, an old black Communist Party USA member, who tells him:

“What I’m trying to tell you is, your grandma’s right to be scared. She’s at least as right as Stanley is. She understands that black people have a reason to hate. That’s just how it is. For your sake, I wish it were otherwise. But it’s not. So you might as well get used to it.”

I think Barack Obama is a highly conflicted man.

He’s done everything he can to obliterate his white heritage, including taking as his mentor and “moral compass” Jeremiah Wright, as blatant a racist hate-monger as any man of the cloth who ever professed to be Christian. And Obama uses his white grandmother as an example of prejudice and genetic weakness. Notice that he rarely mentions any defining characteristics of his mother, but merely says she was white. Obviously he has some serious unresolved issues to which, were he not running for the presidency of a melting pot nation, I would be sympathetic.

As it is, his identity crisis is playing out on a national stage with unpredictable repercussions.

Comment by Fleaflicker | 2008-03-22 17:32:34

I tend to agree with you. I think he has an identity crisis as well. And you are right. His only mention of his mother’s side of the family is to remind people that they are white. It’s weird. These folks nurtured him. Has he really been so completely brainwashed by Wright and the rest of that crowd?

Comment by MarkL | 2008-03-22 17:39:33

He’s in such a hurry. I don’t like it.
He’s political talented but totally unready to be President. He puts Democrats in a bind, because if he loses this time, something like “Don’t damage me because I’m so good”. Yeah right.. but this is pretty much what convinces many people to treat him with kid gloves.

Uses his “father’s” identiy to establish his “soul” and dismisses his single white mother and grand parents that raised him with the best prep schools available . . . “Dreams Of My Father”, hun?? didn’t he walk out and leave him with those “ordinary white people”???? Wouldn’t “Living With Mom, Dreaming of A Father” been a better idea?

And do we really expect to believe that a 20 year relationship is omly an “occasional Sunday Sermon” - sorry, this, and “present” as a political position loses it for me. I went under the bus with granny . . .

The following is a second-hand quote, but worth verifying if anyone has Rolling Stone magazine — probably their article on him from early 2007.

Wallace-Wells mentions in Rolling Stone:

There is an amazingly candid moment in Obama’s autobiography when he writes of his childhood discomfort at the way his mother would sexualize African-American men. ‘More than once,’ he recalls, ‘my mother would point out: “Harry Belafonte is the best-looking man on the planet.”’ What the focus groups his advisers conducted revealed was that Obama’s political career now depends, in some measure, upon a tamer version of this same feeling, on the complicated dynamics of how white women respond to a charismatic black man.

When he’s working on Wall Street, he’s creeped out by his visiting mother’s insistence on seeing her favorite film, the 1959 Brazilian art-house classic “Black Orpheus.” He belatedly realizes that his very fair-skinned mother is sexually attracted to dark men. He pompously intones, “The emotions between the races could never be pure; even love was tarnished by the desire to find in the other some element that was missing

Ann attended the University of Hawaii and there met Senator Obama’s father, Barack Hussein Obama Senior, a graduate student from Kenya. Both Dunhams were upset when their daughter Ann married Barack Obama Senior, particularly after receiving a long, angry letter from the graduate student’s father in Kenya who “didn’t want the Obama blood sullied by a white woman.”

This is a very nasty topic to get into, but Obama is inviting this discussion by continuing to attack the woman who raised him as a racist.

Ok, I wasn’t amazed, but I don’t believe TPM even mentioned either of the quotes. Had a Hillary supporter been involved, it would have been banner news.

Not to mention the fact that they soon found out Obama Sr already HAD a wife and 2 children still in Kenya.

But he didn’t tell them that until AFTER their daughter had married him and Obama was born.

Does anyone know if he joined Wright’s church before or after he married Michelle? It might be worth finding out WHEN he decided to identify with blacks rather than with whites. As to WHY he made this decision only Obama can answer, but he may be too conflicted to know the answer.

All of this may, or may not, be significant in assessing his timidity or refusal to take a stand on issues. Voting “present,” or saying he pushed the wrong button, or managing to miss voting all together seem symptomatic of a pattern of avoiding responsibility that should be examined more fully.

Comment by Alibe | 2008-03-22 18:11:11

I read where he first met Wright in 1985 when he was an “organizer for Christian Churches” (that is how it is stated in an ad to us in PA ). That is three years before he went to Harvard Law. Was it Wright who got him to go to law school so as to better represent the black community? Why did he call him his mentor and feels so beholden to Wright? Was he baptized by Wright? He was a non-believer, as was his mother and grandparents (typical white grandparents?). Has he been baptized and by whom? Did Michelle go to this church befor Obama? Lots of questions unanswered.

I would say that he married her after he began an association with Wright. They were married in 1992.

Comment by fooj | 2008-03-22 19:04:37

Wasn’t Michelle his boss at the Law Firm he went to work for?

Obama is a climber. Period.

Office romance? Naw really?

Comment by Alibe | 2008-03-22 20:27:30

No I read somewhere that he first came to know Wright in 1985….while he was organizing in the churches in the Southside. So his connection to Wright goes back 23 years not 20 years.

From “Obama’s women reveal his secret” By Spengler
http://www.atimes.com/atimes/Front_Page/JB26Aa01.html
dtd 2/26/08 P. 2, 3rd paragraph:

“Barack Obama is a clever fellow who imbibed hatred of America with his mother’s milk, but worked his way up the elite ladder of education and career. He shares the resentment of Muslims against the encroachment of American culture, although not their religion. He has the empathetic skill set of an anthropologist who lives with his subjects, learns their language, and elicits their hopes and fears while remaining at emotional distance. That is, he is the political equivalent of a sociopath. The difference is that he is practicing not on a primitive tribe but on the population of the United States.”

The association and continued kinship with Rev. Wright supports the bolded statement to a tee. The reason why Barack stayed and continues to is because he believes what Rev. Wright believes…Anti Americanism. Connect the Dots!

I guess you have no idea what science is since you are citing more like sociological studies and until you document for me how the stastistics were done I have little value for your post.
Your credentials please as well if you care to share them here.

In any case, it doesn’t justify Obama’s lack of judgment; his political games with race-baiting ;
double standars and 20 years tight relationship with Jeremiah Wright a man that’s a bigot and spews hate from the pulpit.

Fleaflicker; this is an impressive piece you wrote here. I really enjoyed the clarity of thought and reasoning. Thank you.

I just met a colleague; someone who by all accounts is middle of the road conservative democrat, I’d say, lived for a while in MI. Mid 40’s.

In passing; I said how depressing the elections were turning (all I said). His reply?

“Yeah I try not to pay too much attention; it’s got out of control; for G’ sake this was just his pastor; who cares…”
I was stunned…Good I had my car keys in my hand and was ready to go: goodbye…

Comment by Fleaflicker | 2008-03-22 19:51:10

Thanks Andy. Most of the people I am running across are quite offended by Wright as well as Obama’s defense of him and the “typical white person” comment.

As to your colleague: I really wonder how people don’t see that a 20 year association with this “spiritual mentor” and his racist church would rub off on a person. If Obama was 100% white and attended a KKK church he would have had his political career ended a long time ago for him.

Comment by Andy | 2008-03-22 20:36:06

I don’t understand this pseudo-intellectualization either…. It hurts because the only reason they could justify something like this is that at some level they agree. I grew up with lots of anti-semitism around me and like the Supreme Court said about pornography: you know it when you see it.

Comment by TeakWoodKite | 2008-03-22 22:01:34

I was of a mind to consider Obama’s potential selctions of a Supreme or two. I think I will keep the car keys as well Andy.

Its clear most progressives or whatever socio-economic group that constitutes the liberal blogosphere also share your colleague’s view.

Boil it down to ideological blindness. Hear no evil, see no evil.

Its sad and scary. Because it may very well mean the Democrats are going to have Obama as their nominee and that is going to cost them the presidency when it was theirs for the taking.

Comment by Fleaflicker | 2008-03-22 23:20:57

I think the word “progressive” is about the most inappropriate term to describe these people.

Focus, it isn’t just Wright, it is all those Obama surrounded himself with that comes into question, include Rezko in the mix, Levine, Ayers and yes even Michelle Obama who’s thesis was removed from Princeton’s website until November 23/08, trasparency is where?

Not trying to be Dr. Phil here, but look at what Obama wrote in his book about his Black grandfather’s letter to his White grandmother! Then add to it who must have told Obama this! Then look at Obama’s trip to Kenya in ‘06 and meetig his African grandmother and being welcomed into her home! So here you have a guy who was told this horrible story by his grandmother in America, his African father abandons him and he finally meets his African grandmother years later and is welcomed to her home, who would you resent?

Listen to Obama’s moday speech, where he said his while grandmother loved him more than life itself and sacrificed for him! Yet where did he say he loved her in his speech, Why did he omitted those words! Why didn’t the media bring this up? Great speech my ass, this guy protected a racial hatred spewer, defended the guy and threw his blood under the bus! Watch Obama when he says those words of his grandmother read his body language, it isn’t very good!

This guy stinks of resentment and hostility, and people want him to be the leader of the USA?

He talks like he is a person from the ghetto for effect, but this is a man who had priviledges not even many white folks get!

Obama is a grand illusion that when realty comes knocking, he implodes every time, how can America let this sort of person sit down with leaders of the world, expecting results that benefit the world and America?

Comment by Alibe | 2008-03-22 23:05:41

Well, when Obama was too busy to be at his mother’s death bed, you know how he feels about his mother and probably grandmother…white grandmother. I think he was starting his run for some political office then. Couldn’t get back to his mother…Its all about Obama!

Comment by Fleaflicker | 2008-03-22 23:30:53

Can you please provide a source for this info about him not being there for his dying mother? I’ll hit him with everything I’ve got but I won’t smear him with things that aren’t true.

Comment by Fleaflicker | 2008-03-22 23:27:19

I don’t know what you are talking about concerning Michelle Obama’s thesis. Can you provide a source for this information?

Comment by 1950democrat | 2008-03-23 09:32:34

Does the letter still exist? Has a full copy been released? Was Obama shown the letter or was it described to him second-hand?

As for a friendly reception from his ‘Black grandmother’ in Kenya, was she actually the widow of BO Sr? I thought things were more complicated in that family.

Even if the Black grandmother is the widow of the Black grandfather, there’s not necessarily a contradiction between the Black grandfather c. 1960 disapproving of the marriage, and his widow 30 years later welcoming a successful American grandson. Most parents who disapprove a marriage, change their mind when the grandchildren arrive.

The whole story was bullshit to begin with; there is no grandmother on earth who would make such remarks when she has a mixed race grandson she dotes on.

Comment by 1950democrat | 2008-03-23 09:36:52

Remarks? Racial terms, I thought it was. Do we have quotes of anything she actually said (even through BO’s memory)?

Certainly the grandfather sounds like a hysterical white guilt liberal, from the passage Steve Sailer quoted (which I posted above).

Not that white guilt liberals are typically hysterical, I hasten to explain. Just this particular grandfather.

ANY man that would worry about the color of the skin of a man that had frightened his wife and then argue with her about getting a ride to work is an asshole.

This clown was concerned about the color of the skin of the bum that was threatening his wife?

Maybe as a husband, a man, and a decent human being he should have been more concerned that some man, any man, of any race, was frightening his wife. What a jerk. Maybe that’s in the genes too.
