Susan,
Did I stumble into Freeper land? Has the Democratic circular firing squad been infiltrated by Repug suiciders? What's the story with the above dialog? Isn't McCain (son of Cain) the opponent? Cheers

Yes, he's "obviously" more capable with Hillary. He can't be bothered to accompish anything, read up on policy, or do his job but that's so boring. On the upside, he takes great phot-ops and says "change" wit a supercool inflection. He's like GWB, if GWB were AWESOME!!!!

And he's as totally anti-war as anyone who says his position is identical to Bush's and who doesn't know how he would have voted if he'd actually been in that position can be. If he'd been there, he so totally would have taken his version of a stand and voted "present" instead of yes. He's so anti-war, he may go bomb the Pentagon with William Ayers next weekend. If he's not sinking a proposal to withdraw or threatening pakistan instead.

But I can't argue with "transcendent." Since he "transcends" the support of every major group in the Democratic Party xcept for African Americans, from Latinos to women to blue collar voters, old people, Catholics, getting anywhere near the Presidency would indeed be a miracle.

Well, if she does, you'd better warn Obama not to repeat it. Have some kind of signal that says 'Barak, don't just repeat her answer this time, we know you can't come up with anything on your own, but just gape dumbly, no one will notice.'

Yeah, because FL had the largest turnout ever, and where people vote, Obama can't win. if he wasn't trying to win FL, why go with 'Democrat for a day'? If Flloridians hd voted his way, it'd become legitimate pretty damn quick.

Hey, if we disenfrachise every stat except Alaska, then throw out her votes there, Obama would not be 'ahead' in the popular vote, he'd be the unanimous choice. Let's do that!

'Obama has received every single vote cast, Clinton has none.' Sounds good to me.

They weren't actually told what teh punishent would be, since 'the rules' state that only up to 50% of delegate can be stripped. But good enough, since NH and Sc also movedup their primaries and weren't sanctioned--rules are good except when they're not. And let's take a page from Bama's second fave Presient ad declare, "counting votes" equals "cheating."

"The “franchise” is whatever the party decides it will be–no one has a constitutional right to vote in a party’s primary."

Yeah, Fanny Lou Hamer is proud today. Except Republicans, who have a right to vote n ou primary, for without them bama wouldn't have any votes. And then, as you point out, they become more like Democrats than actual Democrats. To the Democrats who think they can vote any way they want, they're lucky they weren't beaten instead off just disenfarncised.

"Her tale reminded me of Reagan claiming that he helped liberate concentration camps–while in the USO!"

Will, let's pretend for a moment that all Obama supporters aren't morons. It's really hard to pretend that hard, but try. Now, Obama's foreign policy experience consists of visiting an Olive Garden, but that's okay. Let's pretend that these things we call 'foreign countries' actualy exist, okay? Let's also pretend that visiting a war zone is dangerous (the Olive Garden parking lot has, like, cars, you could get hit by!). Let's further pretnd that um, having the first FL to visit a war zone, or a Senator, or any type of dignitary or celebrity, get killed there would be kind of problematic. Maybe a little worse than problematic from a PR standpoint. Would you take precautions if there was the slighest chance for an incident? Would you say, ma'mn, we're likely to be under fire and we need you to be incredibly careful?

Okay, well, you'd probably drool into a cup and count that as Naval experience, but most people probably would. But, I hear the majority of the country is practicing choruses of 'God Damn america' to prepare for teh convention, so who knows.

Don't tell me, Obama needed $800,000 so he sent you to meet Rezko at one of his slums for a payoff, to pick teh residents' pockets? While the first lady to visit a war zone since WWII was so safe, you were in far greater danger in a Mafia style shakedown, just like everyone so unfortunate as to have Obama "on their side."

Well, unless Howard and Donna have the power to disenfranchise states in teh general, that's kind of "the" standard. Myabe Obama can talk to his Holy Father, ask him to stop turning water into wine and change McCain votes to Obama votes?

"If Hillary were ahead by the same margins, and Obama’s campaign made the same assertion, you would laugh them out of the room."

Total bs, and you know it. If Hillary had failed to win any major states and was countering "I won Alaska" when she'd lost California, and if her wins were in caususes and she was actually claiming she could turn Wyoming blue, she'd be laughed out of the room. IF SHE WERE SUPPORTING THE DISENFRANCHISEMENT OF STATES, she'd be pilloried the likes of which we've never seen, even without makiing 'new Politics' the hypocritical center of her campaign. If she were in Obama's place, ALL we'd hear is this is ridiculous, she can't win, this shows the insanity of the process, the superdelegates need to ensure a viable nominee, they need to switch to a winner-take-all, they have to do something. She can't win a state that matters, the caucuses are full of irregularities, and Republicans are trying to choose the Democratic nominee. The blaring, ubiquitous message would be, 'something must be done.' And they'd be right. And anybody who sugggested Obama should drop out, when he's won every state that mattered, neither of them had enough delegates to win outright, and she was ahead by 'such stunning margins' (60 delegates? 80?) on top of the mighty Alaska victory would be laughed out of the room, as well as accused of racism, and you know it. If Obama was in this position with Edwards, or any two men were in this position (and yes, I'm a guy), no one would make this case with a straight face, it would be understood that the process needs to play out. And if they made it once, they'd be laughed at and it would never be repeated.
