North Carolinians can ask that “typical” Hillary a question, and she’ll respond.

Below, in this open thread, here’s the latest on immigration reform:

Was anyone just watching “Election Center” on CNN? Candy Crowley just said that the McCain campaign knows that they can run effectively against Obama by hitting him as unqualified to be Commander-in-Chief, but not Hillary (on that issue) because because she has passed the CIC test. on the other hand, the McCain campaign is worried about running against Hillary on the economy where she is strong and McCain is not…

the exchange between Crowley and Campbell Brown came about 15 minutes into the broadcast in case anyone can find it.

Obama just shot himself in the foot, he came out in a Pittsburgh newspaper in favor of getting rid of concealed carry weapon permits across the country.

The GOP and NRA are going to run with this. Not to mention that PA has a very high percentage of hunters and the highest of military veterans. It could really hurt Obama in PA if Hillary works it right.

As far as the mid-west, Florida and Texas goes he may as well kiss them good bye.

What a idiot.

remember when he just flat out lied in (was it idaho? one of the western states) and they believed him. i’m sure he’ll do the same in the debate.

re hillary’s ad - LOVE the repeated use of “typical” - anyone who’s been paying any attention at all will get it….love it!

I think this is a big issue. There are a lot of Democrats who are licensed gun-owners, and a lot who have handguns for personal protection. I read further on this and found an article which states that Clinton, Obama and McCain all believe that the 2nd Amendment gives individuals, and not just militias, to bear arms. Obama believes that it is important that sportsmen and hunters be able to pursue their sport. One blogger (I don’t recall where I saw this, so I can’t give proper credit) said, those of you who believe the 2nd amendment gives you the right to bear sporting goods have found your candidate.

I think it would be worthwhile for Hillary to differentiate herself from Obama on this issue, carefully of course.

The problem is that no matter how good Hillary sounds, and I think this ad is very good, the Media and the Boyz Blogs will never say so. They will find something they can twist and spin and use to attack her again.

That she continues to stay even close to Obama with the deck stacked against her so completely is amazing.

As a “typical” old white woman I am proud once again to be a Hillary Clinton supporter. I started out as a tepid supporter and have found that the more you see her, the more you actually listen to HER not to some damn sound bite, the more you like and respect her. She doesn’t send a “tingle up or down my leg” and I don’t want any presidential candidate to do so, but she has earned my respect and now my liking.

I have a question re: posting comments. I am able to post comments here, but would like to post comments at anglachel’s journal. To post there, I believe, requires a Google account. I did all of the required things like contacting Google through my e-mail, creating a reader name and password, but cannot make it work. Any suggestions?
