A while ago, the racist, Farrakhan-linked New Black Panther Party posted a page on the official Obama Web site. That page was pulled after complaints were lodged, with the Obama campaign implying that it would more closely monitor its site. Now, not only has the NBBP reposted its page, but the Obama Web site has become the friendly home for vicious race baiting of African Americans who support Hillary Clinton. The Obama campaign has repeatedly played the race card, at the same time that is has tried to blame the Clinton campaign — see Princeton historian Sean Wilentz’s devastingly factual articles on the subject (”Hold On–’3 A.M.’ Wasn’t Racist,” “Race Man,” and “Obama was the first to play the race card“). The Obama campaign continues its smear by allowing and apparently encouraging posting like this nasty page.

Barack Obama talks a good game. And he is an exquisite liar, nearly pathological with his ease of doing so. His campaign likes to point out that this is an open public forum and they have no control over what is posted there. But those of us that know a little something about websites know that that is a bold faced lie that may play well in Peoria but doesn’t square well with the facts. It is relatively easy to stop someone from posting in an open forum.
There are filters and IP address blocks and all kinds of other methods that allow you to screen out particular words or links. The Obama campaign DESIRES this information to be on their website. It is a part of their BIG TENT approach. Republicans, Terrorists, Racists, Mysogynists, Homophobes and Bigots For Obama is their battle cry. And the Obama campaign only takes this stuff down when someone points out that they are offended by it.
As I mentioned in “Will Obama Deny Knowing the New Black Panthers,” this pattern of Obama support is troubling. Because this group is merely the next logical step forward from the rantings of Barack Obama’s spiritual advisor, Jeremiah Wright. It is no accident that this group continues to be featured on the official Obama campaign Web site. It is a message being sent for those with eyes open enough to see.
This should be a wake-up call for anyone with a shred of decency. But apparently that wouldn’t be a supporter of Barack Obama.

Apparently the MSM will not portray this until (if he gets the nod) he goes up against McCain. THEN and only then will the MSM tackle this. Right now most of them are careful not to soil him too much, to be sure that Hillary is the one too damaged to get the nomination. Then… oh, it’s cakewalk time for McCain.

Sandy, just out of curiosity what are you talking about? Shy of registering and then knowing which “member” to search for… how would the average kid be subjected to “this race baiting” as you put it?
Don’t get me wrong – I find most of the rhetoric of the NBBP offensive and crazy – and would call it ridiculously funny were it not dangerous and offensive and crazy as noted.
But shy of banning individuals or organizations that sign up as members in the network… I’m not sure what you’d want. As Larry and Susan have noted, they may not agree with some of the views expressed by some of the posters – but they’re not going to outright ban them for that – I know wrong analogy.

Fox, NBC, CBS, NBC, ABC, NYT, WaPo know all about these things. I’d imagine that Rove has been carefully building up the database 9he surfaced recently with a list of contradictions that Obama hads made). They will have all the screen shots and text stored in the vaults for use in October.

Clinton wasn’t expecting Obama to beat her so she went easy until supertuesday. She didn’t want to damage a prospective VP pick.

Here is a hint: maybe if you folks spent half as much time raising money, canvassing door to door and doing something OTHER than posting on blogs and presenting yourselves as unhinged crybabies, maybe your candidate would be in the lead. But it seems you are more than content to sit around and whine about the unfairness of getting your heinies kicked by a better organized, smarter campaign. By taking this approach, you are not only NOT cutting into Obama’s lead, but you are also showing yourselves unworthy to take on McCain in the fall.
Obama is too shameful to represent Democratic Party. But I don’t want to see him be forced to quit the race. Obama’s actions will force Obama out of the race one way or another.

Rasmussen did the poll of Colorado in Feb after Super Tuesday, Obama had 7 point lead against McCain. He said he can change red state into blue.
In March, the same poll show Obama tied with McCain. Obama has lost the people in Colorado. He tied with McCain in MA, THE blue state. If he can’t beat McCain in Mass, he can’t beat McCain anywhere.
Obama won’t stand a chance in GE.
Let us never forget that the ultimate goal for all of us of like minds is a President that is an improvement from W. Bush. Instead of issuing sophmoric replies such as “scoreboard”, could you please enlighten us Hillary supporters as to why Obama is a superior candidate and would make a better President. I would greatly appreciate it if you could give me specific examples of what Obama has accomplished in his brief Public life. FIRST of all, actual Democrats do prefer Hillary. It is the so-called “Democrats for a Day” et al who have given Obama his (apparent) lead. Many of these people have NO intention of voting for the Democrat in the GE.
I am not a member of the Dem party, and likely won’t be, but I can’t believe most of the party leadership want THIS crap to be the face of the party. Somebody forward this to them AND the SDs. By tacitly condoning this rhetoric, Obama takes ownership of it. If he REALLY wanted to take the high road as he’s always claiming, he could make a short statement on the site to the effect of “this type of rhetoric will NOT be tolerated and does NOT represent our vision of uniting America (blahblahblah)” then get one of their hired bloggers to ENFORCE IT. Then I might have a modicum of respect for his campaign.
Then they stop threatening the SDs (loyal Democrats) with a primary attack, and EARN those votes as well. I’m guessing John Lewis might not be to happy to see this stuff associated with his candidate.
I came by my support of Hillary through lots of research and soul-searching after Edwards suspended, and being in CA I may be able to vote my candidate without hurting the Ds should he be the nominee, but unless he breaks his pattern and disavows this garbage, he will NEVER have my vote, and will undoubtedly hurt the Democrats horribly. How sad, just when they had the chance to reclaim their core values, to have it wrecked by an egomaniac like this…
Wrong, Clinton has more votes from Democrats thus more delegates and in states with closed Primaries – she has won. So, the choice of Democrats is Hillary Clinton.
No matter how many times you Obama followers pronounce the inane “more votes, more delegates, more states” meme, this race is a statistical tie. The reality is that barring a collapse by one of the candidates (and if this should happen, my bet is on Obama), Clinton will lead in the popular vote and Obama will have a just a double digit lead (<100) delegates after all 50 states are counted. Thus, neither candidate can reach the magic number to obtain the nomination and the Super Delegates will decide.
Now, Clinton will have won if not all, by far, most of the remaining contests, so, the “big Mo” will be with her. Obama will continue to have his “embarrassing” associations brought to light – and show just how unelectable he is in November. Clinton will also continue to lead on issues such as the economy that are in the forefront of American voters. So, the Super Delegates unless they want to really lose and that includes Congressional seats, it is an easy decision and Clinton is chosen. Them’s the roolz and that’s how the winning hand is played.
I have a $100 bet with my cousin that if Obama is our nominee, he will lose in California.

If by “the party” you mean Democrats, sorry. Clinton has a huge edge there. Obama’s edge is coming from caucuses and open primaries–and those voes will hold up in Nov, no worries.
But you’re right, if you disenfranchise 20 or so states, you might be able to find a way to jerrymander an Obama lead among Democrats. Go heavy wth Alaska.
Hillary’s votes are 75% from the Dem base. Obama’s are only 55% Dem base. 45% of Obama’s votes are from Indepdendents and Republicans. That’s almost half of his votes. And I think that one could safely assume that he picked up the majority of those votes primarily in the red-state caucuses that go to the Republican nominee in the GE.
If you extrapolate Obama’s 55% base vote our further, and make a general assumption that approximately half of those votes are from ethnic blacks, Obama has only won approximately 28% of his votes from other ethnic groups in the Dem base, such as whites, latinos, and asians.
In reality, Hillary has won more votes from the Dem base. If these were closed Primaries, we wouldn’t even be discussing Obama as the front-runner. He would be way back in second place.
Those statistics do not bode well for Obama in the GE if he wins the nomination. Unless the Dem base in all the blue-states that Hillary was won rally to support him, I’d say he’s up shit creek without a paddle.
There’s the rub, right? Obama would only win if the Democratic supporters of Hillary vote D in November. It looks like Hillary supporters (75% of the Dem base!!!!!!) are going to all be voting Republican. That means that if Obama wins the nomination, the Republican party gets an inevitable, unstoppable majority. Shame on Obama for making 75% of true Democrats (not those pesky African-Americans) vote for a Republican!!! He’s going to ruin the country by making the 75% of us true Dems who really care vote for Bush III, John “Stay in Iraq for 100 years” McSame!!!

I followed the link above and fortunately, there were several sensible comments in response to that pathetically ignorant and bullying blog Hillary vs Obama: The Slavery Perspective.
African Americans need to ask themselves a few pertinent questions: Where was this passion when Jesse Jackson, Sr. was running for president? Al Sharpton? Not all blacks supported them with votes (although I did). Why does Barack Obama, who is half-white and has NO African American relatives apart from the ones he sired, engendering all of this viciousness within the black community?
I don’t think AAs really want to have an honest discussion about The Slavery Perspective and slave mentality just to get this biracial candidate elected POTUS. This is a public office and as such he will have to represent ALL of the people. He has to swear to “defend, protect the Constitution of the US.” and that means having to adhere to a system of checks & balances and working with the members of Congress. The Supreme Court is there riding shotgun on our Democracy. It’s absolutely pointless and absurd to hurl offensive racial insults at AA supporters of Hillary Clinton when the reality is that Obama would not be crowned King and have absolute sovereignity. AA supporters of Hillary are merely excercising their rights as citizens of the US to stand behind the candidate of their choice. A decision based on a sober look at the issues confronting the US at the present time. Not based on the politics of racialism.
That Obama supporters seem hellbent to be at the forefront of historically racist agendas that have kept AAs from enjoying their rights as American citizens, begs the question, who really is the slave? Who really is doing the slave masters bidding? Disenfranchizing voters, bullying oponent’s supporters, threatening and demeaning AA elected officials pubicly who have served our interests in some cases for decades, all of this for what purpose? To get Barack Obama elected president?
It should be remembered that slavery was commonplace in most civilizations in antiquity. Sadly, on the continent of Africa it was still practised long after other societies in the world had abandoned it. This is how it came to pass that Africans cooperated with European slave traders to send our ancestors on the long inhuman, vicious voyage known as the Middle Passage which resulted in our ancestors enslavement, those that survived, that is. I mention African involvement not to let white European slave traders off the hook, but to be historically accurate. The Obama campaign, however, seems to have a problem with historical accuracy.
BTW, Obama has no ancestors who suffered under slavery. I do.
Thank you for your thoughtful post. I agree with your statements. I am not African American so I cannot possibly know of the AA experience but I can empathize with it. I am not a racist for not supporting Mr. Obama. I am foremost an American citizen who is interested in Democracy and fair play. These dangerous race games he is playing are scary and do nothing to further any honest public discourse.

I would really enjoy reading a diary by you backing up what you are claiming. I have never heard anyone say this before.
I’ll look into it. It occured to me after that ‘great’ race speech when he threw his grandmother under the bus. What kind of husband doesn’t heed his wife’s fears about feeling threatened? I though it was very telling that his grandfather felt the need to explain to Obama that the man his grandmoter was so frightened of was black and that was the only reason she was making a big deal of it. It was like his grandfather was apologizing to him for his wife’s reaction.
We all know that kids in general will manipulate their parents if they find out they can do so. Kids do this all the time. I don’t think it’s a stretch to think that Obama may have done so. They sprung for a private school. Did his mother also attend private school as a child? I don’t get the sense these people were rich. There are a multitude of reasons people spring for private school apart from the belief that you can get a better edcucation. Some people put kids in private school to protect them from the ‘unsavory’ influences of kids they feel come from families that don’t share their values. And if they paid for his schooling they would have more say/clout if there was a problem. Maybe they felt they were protecting him from possible discrimination. Or could it be that if there were other AAs in Hawaii, they wanted to keep him from mingling with them.
They seem to have been a very insular family. You have yet to see anyone step forward to claim to have known them. Considering his historic candidacy, wouldn’t human interest stories be expected?
Another thing that bothers me on this track: no ex-grilfriends either. No prom dates? Or anything like that. Not saying it had to be serious. Just saying….

How can he be a serious candidate on hope and inspiration when what he inspires is repugnant? I wonder if, when the time comes around, Seder will criticize RHODES for spending so much time calling Hillary a “whore” when there are all these “Macro-issues” to deal with. On second thought, I don’t wonder at all.
And Seder ended the second hour of his show by repeating “the conventional wisdom is that there is still a race for the Democratic nomination…but it IS over…I’m not saying Hillary should drop out because you know what? No one would listen to me if I did.”

What a cowardly dick. Twice during the show he said he would NOT take calls on the Rhodes situation until the last half-hour, then he takes ONE call, four minutes before the end of the three-hour show. No time for follow-up, no time for anyone to ask him how he can defend Rhodes, no nothing.

Well, I miss the old Air America a lot. I work at home and listened to Air America all day over the internet. I have tried to get Taylor Marsh’s radio program over the internet but keep getting error messages.
Also I don’t have television because I got sick of all that propaganda about three years ago. I used to spend many hours at Huffington Post before it became Obamington Post. No Quarter and Taylor Marsh’s website are where I get news now, about the only information sources not infected with Obamamania.

welcome to the radio world. sam seder knows how to run out the clock on the air. having done literally thousands of hours of radio i can tell you there are few mistakes when the host runs out the clock. we look at the switchboard, almost always have a sidekick screening calls for any bombs then skip around to pick the calls we want to take.
in my case i rarely did a talk show format and mostly did voice work, hosting forums, all sorts of music shows, and some work for the local news coverage. most community stations don’t have a paid staff but when they do, those folks aren’t always the on-air personalities.
i used to wince at piss-poor hosts who would act like cowards after they raised issues they should have known would be very controversial or would raise the ire of the audience.
and unfortunately, and speaking from experience, liberal talk show hosts can be some of the worst because they seem to be bound by some bullshit code of “nice guy” that makes them passive aggressive most of the time.
As for Air America, the network has never been stellar anyway. It was a neat idea based in phony concepts about talk radio. I do clearly believe that America would love a ‘liberal’ network of sorts, but when it is showcased as such it fails because America doesn’t really want a ‘conservative’ network. Its kind of like what Outfoxed showed about Cablenews and how they all went dumb as shit when FoxNews showed up and went as low as possible. Now you have Glenn Fucking Beck!! Catering to the biases of listeners only makes more biased listeners. Build on a principle not a ideology.
Air America is the latte sellout radio version, the McRadio version of what Pacifica was trying to do for the last 60 years. Lew Hill founded Pacifica after WWII, after he lived in a concentration camp to be a contientious objector. He was doing it out of a principle. Air America was built on capitalistic ideals. There’s a big fucking difference between the two. Air America insulted Pacifica’s very existance by trying to pretend it was the first Liberal Network. Pacifica may have only 5 stations, but it has vast affiliates as well. Air America never learned from Pacifica’s mistakes or successes. Instead it simply went to Advertising radio. It played mimic to right wing radio, and look at the result, too many shockjocks.
And as for Gerafalo, let us not forget she’s an actress, a talented one no less, but as for radio?…not really. I think only Franken and the Young Turks are the only good thing to come out of Air America. I’d like to say Rachael Maddow, but after watching her on MSNBC I don’t think so. Smart in many ways, but her bias runs her and she puts on airs too much. She gets caught in the conversation and forgets to have much of a critical voice. There are others who get on the same shows that make her look like a complete MSNBC sell-out, trading access for integrity.
I heard Gerafalo’s take on Rhodes, and she blew credibility with the woman who matters in my home. She was deeply disappointed. “Awww…not her..damnit” Spoken like a fan disappointed.

“FOX News has uncovered documents that indicate Wright is about to move to a 10,340-square-foot, four-bedroom home in suburban Chicago, currently under construction in a gated community.
While it is not uncommon for an accomplished clergyman to live in luxury, Wright’s retirement residence is raising some questions.
“Some people think deals like this are hypocritical. Jeremiah Wright himself criticizes people from the pulpit for middle classism, for too much materialism,” said Andrew Walsh, Associate Director of the Leonard E. Greenberg Center for the Study of Religion in Public Life with Trinity College in Hartford, Conn.
“So he’s entitled to be tweaked here. So the question really is, how unusual is this? Somewhat unusual,” he said.
According to documents obtained from the Cook County Register of Deeds, Wright purchased two empty lots in Tinley Park, Ill., from Chicago restaurant chain owner Kenny Lewis for $345,000 in 2004.
Documents show Wright sold the property to his church, Trinity United, in December 2006, with the proceeds going to a living trust shared with his wife, Ramah.
The sale price for the land was just under $308,000, about $40,000 less than Wright’s original purchase two years earlier.
Public records of the sale show Trinity initially obtained a $10 million bank loan to purchase the property and build a new house on the land.
But further investigation with tax and real estate attorneys showed that the church had actually secured a $1.6 million mortgage for the home purchase, and attached a $10 million line of credit, for reasons unspecified in the paperwork.
There is apparently nothing wrong with that, according to non-profit tax expert Jack Siegel of Charity Governance Consulting, who examined public documents FOX News obtained from the Cook County Register of Deeds and the Village of Tinley Park.
“At least looking at it from a public document standpoint, there’s clearly not a problem that jumps out or some sort of wrongdoing,” Siegel said.
Siegel characterizes the transaction as unusual, however, because of the way Wright sold the property to Trinity and the way the deal was financed, with the attached $10 million line of credit.
Because churches are classified as private businesses, Trinity isn’t required to reveal its intended use for the line of credit. Nor, because it’s a non-profit entity, is it required to provide that information to the IRS.
A spokesman for ShoreBank, the Chicago-based financial institution that secured mortgages for the loans, said the deals were aboveboard.
Wright did not respond to repeated calls for comment, and Trinity United refused to discuss the specifics of the home it is building for him and the way the deal was financed.
The church referred FOX News to its denominational headquarters in Cleveland, which provided a statement of support:
“It is customary and appropriate in many Christian denominations, including the United Church of Christ, for local churches to offer housing provisions for retiring clergy, especially in cases where pastors have served long-term pastorates. We support efforts by our 5,700 local churches to ensure that retiring pastors and spouses have continuing housing, adequate pension and health care, as an expression of our continuing appreciation for their years of service. Each local UCC congregation is free to honor a retiring pastor in ways it feels most appropriate to address the needs of that clergyperson’s circumstances,” wrote the Rev. J. Bennett Guess, spokesman for UCC’s national office.
“This is about how these kinds of churches work,” notes Walsh. “These pastors who made big successful churches are real valuable commodities. Is it morally wrong? I’ve been looking at some of the math, and the way I see it, Wright has made a:
1. Loss of $37,000 (probably not his own money so it can hardly be called a loss)
2. Gain of a $1,500,000 real estate land and house
3. Gain of at least $1,500,000 from not having to pay interest on the mortgage over its lifetime.
4. Gain of $10,000,000 for his house expenses over his time in that house (divide by 20 years, provides about $500,000 for expenses like heating, hydro, water, taxes, landscaping, snow removal, maintenance, renovations, travelling around the country and thus, air flights, hotels, restaurants, etc…)
I’m curious how he was living before his lawyer Obama became a US senator with the intention of running for president, thanks to the “donations” of campaign money by Rezko, a Syrian national, who if he was wealthy in Syria, means he was a Bath party member there, the same party as Saddam Hussein. Since Rezko loves politics so much, there can be no doubt of his connections to the Syrian and Iraq Bath parties – and since he was Obama’s principal backer, no surprise Obama would side with Saddam’s Bath party against the US Wash. parties.
It’s not a coincidence that Obama also got to expand his real estate, at a loss for the seller Rezko, a slum lord real-estate thief, so that Obama could increase his mansion. These two real estate losses and crooked deals both have one thing in common: Obama. It’s interesting that Obama got to live in a mansion thanks to the poor people sucked dry by Rezko and Wright gets to do the same thanks to the suckers who went to his church. All of them are predators that steal from the poor to make themselves rich.
But it fits in with the signs from God that have been non-stop for months, warning about Obama.
The most notable sign is Obama’s first and middle names. One is “barrack” and the other is “house in”. The “housing” crisis is a sign of, and tied to, “hussein” crisis. The housing crisis is about whether the “house in” which people live, they get to keep.
I’m not surprised to see Obama tied to a pair of twin real estate thefts.
Bush got rid of one Hussein supported by the Bath Party. Hopefully, McCain will get rid of the other one if Hillary can’t.

Two debates coming up with week. ABC at least reports Rezko, seems more balanced. CBS debate was requested by BHO – a strange change of stand on his usual debate evasions – which sounds like a set-up. Which brings up this question:
Am preparing a list of questions these networks should ask Obama in these debates. It includes unanswered, overlooked or media blocked information. I want to make this QUESTIONS TO ASK OBAMA ON AIR list available to ALL, as an email campaign to these networks on the part of any interested in participating – and(complete with email addresses of the four debate moderators and news desks.)
It is categorized by: Biographical contradictions; Questionable Supporters; Quotes of Concern to Voters; Vital Policy & Platform Issues. Even keeping it brief, I think it’s too long for your comment section.
I’m working on a blog site but the debates are this week and that might not be up in time.
