French Fries, Dixie Chicks And ABC: A Frightening Revelation

Does anyone besides me remember when George W. Bush first announced that he was running for President? He came out of nowhere. All anybody knew about him was that he was a governor of Texas and the son of George The First. The press very quickly asked him about his well-rumored drug use, specifically his use of cocaine. I remember it like it was yesterday. Bush said to them in a sarcastic tone, “I don’t have to answer that question” and stalked off. Whoa, I thought. This guy is going nowhere fast. He’s an arrogant snot and doesn’t like to be questioned.

Throughout his campaign, each and every time Bush’s own past conduct or failures were questioned, he would say that he isn’t “into psycho-babble”. And that would be that. In short, people were afraid to question George Bush. Stories of his past were rampant. The stories of his dubious service to our country were everywhere on the internet. The stories of his drunken behaviors were everywhere. People even provided documentation.

It was well-recorded that everything Bush ever touched turned to cr-p. He failed at every business endeavor he ever participated in. He was the only Oil Man in Texas who couldn’t find oil! Who ever heard of a presidential candidate successfully pawning off his use of drugs and alcohol at age 45 as a “youthful indiscretion”? We Democrats wondered why the “press isn’t covering this!”.

To add insult to intellectual injury, no matter how many lies George got caught in and no matter how many gaffs he made, the only thing that mattered to Bush’s sycophants was electing Him. He was their Savior. A week before the General Election, the press decided to “leak” his DWI story. Of course it was too late and had no legs at all.

And let’s face it, it wouldn’t have mattered to his cult-like followers anyways. George Bush could have been caught snorting Coke on camera and they still would have protected him. That’s the nature of a cult-like following. The rest of the Bush failure and the devastation upon America’s economy and reputation is now our own nightmarish history.

Enter Barack Obama. He gets elected as Illinois Senator by beating Alan Keyes. Now as we all know, a cockroach could beat Alan Keyes. Then Obama makes a moving speech at the 2004 Democratic Convention. Everybody had a tear in the eye. Even me. Whoa, I said, that was moving! I wonder who that guy is. I never heard of him. The next thing we know, Barack Obama is running for President. As with Bush, nobody knew much about him at all, except that he made a Double-Plus-Good-Duckspeech at a convention and was a first-term Senator with not much in the way of accomplishments in spite of the spin.

Then….suddenly…. Barack Obama was having rallies that appeared to have been organized directly out of the Hitler Youth Corps play book. Children were swooning. People were fainting. College students were chanting. And chanting. And chanting. Sexy young girls with serious boobage were making videos of their sexual fantasies about Barack Obama. Rappers suspended rapping about stabbing their bitches and killing women and cops to rap homage to The One. What an honor. Busloads of young people were pulling up to state caucus sites, hooting and chanting and drowning out or driving away their opponents.

Quietly, in the meantime, people with brains decided to look into this Messiah before committing to his chanting-charisma. After all, history has given us plenty of people with charisma who wreaked havoc upon the world. Records of Obama’s friendships and affiliations with domestic and foreign terrorists and slum lords who committed fraud and bilked the poor in Obama’s district were everywhere, documentation included. His “autobiographical” writings were debunked handily. The red flags were everywhere. Yet…silence in the press. Members of the press were having “tingling sensations” up their leg for Obama instead.

Much of the information not being covered by the press about Barack Obama makes George W. Bush look like the male version of Mother Teresa. But as with Bush, people were afraid to question Barack Obama. To Barack Obama worshippers, as with George Bush worshippers, it just plain doesn’t matter what the man has done or what he hangs around with–or even what his true intentions are. It’s not important to them. He is their Baby Jesus doing the Hope-y Change-y thing. How many things can you find wrong with this picture?

It’s not just about the press protecting Barack Obama as they protected George W. Bush. It’s about the similarity between their “followers”. George W. Bush’s followers were zealots. George never had to get any shit on himself. No sir. George would just have to express displeasure and the machine of zealots kicked in and spewed the slime for him, doing as much damage as inhumanly possible. George didn’t have to get any on himself at all.

When a Dixie Chick expressed her embarrassment at having George Bush as President of the United States, the slime machine kicked in. Dixie Chicks are persona non gratis. Dixie Chicks are bad. Dixie Chicks must not be supported. Dixie Chick records must not be purchased. Dixie Chicks concerts must not be attended. The hatred directed toward the Dixie Chicks by Bush zombies was downright frightening. Could they have killed one of the Dixie Chicks, they probably would have.

These talented people suffered horrible assaults because, right here in America, they did not like the President and that was not only not acceptable, right here in America, but it meant they must be destroyed. It took several years for the Dixie Chicks to recover from the assault.

When George Bush expressed displeasure with France for not supporting his Coalition of the Stupid, Bush sycophants became seriously frenzied. Being basic lockstep ignoramuses who shared the worship of their savior, they went after France. They even boycotted “french fries,” as if they were actually French. In congress, french fries were renamed “Freedom Fries”. We all laughed our asses off at these entranced fools who blindly followed an idiot wearing a suit.

When the press corps attempted to question Barack Obama about his affiliation with the indicted Tony Rezko, he was at first evasive. Then he walked out on them. How many things did you find wrong with that picture? If you are an Obama worshipper, what he did was not only Just Fine but How Dare They Question their Baby Jesus???

When Philadelpha’s Mayor Nutter endorsed Hillary Clinton, his website was inundated with threatening, hateful messages from Obama worshippers. His phones were inundated with hateful calls. Eventually Mayor Nutter had to bounce the emails he received. It was a feeding frenzy. Obama worshippers were not going to have Mayor Nutter get away with not endorsing their Messiah without a great deal of pain and fear. And Barack Obama never had to say a word. Just like George Bush.

At a debate last week, when ABC developed the cajones to ask the questions of Barack Obama that the mainstream press has consistently refused to deal with, the Obama backlash was akin to the Dixie Chicks’ professional assassination. Droves of frenzied, hate-spitting Obama zombies descended upon ABC’s web site to complain. They tied up their phone lines.

They wanted ABC dead, as if ABC were a person. A death threat video directed at George Stephanopoulos was placed on Youtube and thousands of wild-assed, wild-eyed Bush Obama sycophants posted the most vile and hateful remarks they could possibly pull from their bilious guts. It was as if hanging out with domestic and foreign terrorists, collecting money from middle eastern radicals and the PLO, posting the Black Panther website on your campaign site, being called a Savior by the leader of the Nation of Islam, and acquiring an endorsement from Hamas is trivial information about a candidate for the most powerful position in the world.

As I mentioned earlier, it took quite awhile for the Dixie Chicks to recover from the cult-like assault they suffered by Bush Zombies. They responded to their odyssey in the video below.

To Barack Obama, the Obama Cult and the DNC– as well as all other organizations that start with a “D”, this is also our message to you: We will Not be Ready to Make Nice for the vicious, threatening and cruel, sick and filthy assaults upon ourselves and the far more capable candidate, Hillary Clinton. We will point that out to you more effectively in November, should this Plastic Jesus steal a nomination through bullying, conjuring and the threat of violence. Just so you know — we understand how to flip our collective middle finger too. See you in Pennsylvania.

Natalie Maines is my hero.

It is amazing that the same tactics used by the right are being used right here in the so-called progressive blogosphere. I suppose the good that will come out of this is the separation of the wheat from the chaff.

Comment by markwatl | 2008-04-20 17:32:21

The blogesphere is largely progressive but this blog is no longer so. Screw them. Let them vote for McCain because Barack will be the nominee.

2 things

do you notice the number of Obamabots adding Hussein to their screen names in solidarity with Barack? Kind of like adding X to your name.

have you seen them spreading the rumor that Obama’s internals say he wins PA big because polls can’t contact new voters and cell phones(presumably the youth vote)/

what do you think?

Comment by Uppity | 2008-04-20 20:36:44

Yes I love to see the Husseins descend upon us. I generally assign them a four digit number eg Hussein Number 7,527. It’s just so…….cult.

Comment by Uppity | 2008-04-20 20:39:51

what do you think?

I think Obama has a better chance of seeing God than he has of winning PA.

Comment by Talktruth | 2008-04-20 20:30:42

I doubt very seriously he’ll even make it to nominee, no matter how many times the Obamabots click their glittery red high heels together :-J.

OBAMA will never ever be president..he will never win the south nor the west.

I had a room next to the Dixie Chicks in Kansas City when they had death threats..i was traveling with my husbands business, we had a suite and i went out shopping one day and when i returned to the hotel i had to show ID and room key to get on elevator. When i got to my floor there were police stationed all over my floor and there was a cop next to my room sitting on a chair and two other police sitting next to two more room doors.

It was un-nerving to say the least so i asked the police sitting between my room and the one next to my room why he was there..he didn’t want to say but then i threw a fit and said i had the right to know why he was sitting outside my room and how long he would be there..

So he told me the Dixie Chicks were in the rooms next to mine and they needed the security.

I then went in my room and wrote them a note telling them how proud I was of them for speaking out and for being responsible to the constitution of “WE THE PEOPLE”..I said if I was their mother I would be very proud of them for standing up for what was right.I had the policeman give them the note .

I saw Natalie the next morning and she hugged me and thanked me for the kind words..I in turn thanked her.

I returned home a few days later and went right to a record store and bought a couple hundred dollars of their CD’s and I stood on the beach and handed them out to people walking the beach!

I got a wonderful response of people just as angry as I was,of what was done to these lovely ladies.

Oh and I had never listened to them before that..but they have a huge fan in me today!!

And let this be a warning to the Obamabots..I AM NOT READY TO MAKE NICE… not then and not now..and never again will I put up with bullshit like was dished out by the bushbots.

I already have a campaign going in Fla to
write-in vote for Mickey Mouse in November..if our delegates votes are not counted.

And I am getting a great response from great dems where I live. We will send Howard Dean and Obama and Pelosi and Donna Brazile a message from Florida ,if you don’t count our votes for the nominee , you will not get our votes in November, and we will embarrass the shit out of you!

Oh and I was a delegate for Florida in 2004 and i run a large internet group in Fla..so the message is getting out loud and clear!

I am not ready to make nice..I am fed up! I will not allow the democrats to steal our votes, when those of us in Fla have worked hard and spent alot of our own money and put in endless hours and days and months and years, trying to stop the republicans from stealing our votes for over 8 years now!

Nooo.. Natalie and the Dixie Chicks..You have been an inspiration to me from the get go..I am not ready to make nice with these Obamabots ..not today and not tommorrow!

>>> As I mentioned earlier, it took quite awhile for the Dixie Chicks to recover from the cult-like assault they suffered by Bush Zombies.

Looking at The Numbers (concert tix, CD sales, a cross-chart move from C&W, air play, Billboard), it might appear that being the target of The Republican Slime Machine (mostly Clear Channel, big Shrubbie boosters) has made The Chicks even MORE successful than their wildest dreams.

Comment by Kourian | 2008-04-20 20:47:03

The Dixie Chicks apologised for Bush. What would you do? They showed they had brains. If you were playing a concert and you knew the audience were hostile to that idiot Bush - extremely hostile - what would you do? Would you speak up? Or are you part of that 99% Scott Adams says are weasels? Of course you’d speak up. And that’s what they did. And if they’ve survived it must be because people respect them for this.

Comment by Fred C. Dobbs | 2008-04-20 22:01:10

Yep.

And also, because they are pretty good musicians, irrespective of their politics.

That was my point exactly, although it may have been lost there. The Chicks are bigger than Clear Channel, bigger than burr-heads that only think what DJ’s tell them to think and a LOT bigger than Der Shrub.

Maybe when he’s shaking his booty down in Paraguay he can convince whatever unreconstructed Nazi wannbes that are running the place to have ‘em banned.

Women represent about 54% of the voting public but unfortunately vote only at a rate of 47 to 49% of the vote with the largest portion of women registered Democratic. The one of the major reasons the democrats lost in 2000 and 2004 is because women did not vote in appropriate numbers. Why for the life of me could somebody the explain the logic of Democratic Party in pissing off the largest voting block hand. It would seem to me you would court this block.

And this is different from two months ago.

So, maybe a thank you to Obama’s kids is in order.

You know, they’re infantile behavior is a lot like a terrorist group, in terms of the infantile expression, and motivation.

So Clinton handles the brother and his gansta, what, posse, pussies, what do the kids call it, anyway, Clinton learns to handle that poser bunch, and she’s got a rudimentary handle on Hamas.

Abso-f*****g-LUTELY!

I, personally, am getting tired. Let the Majority Gender slip some shoulder pads into those Liz Claiborne’s and start inventing things and running/improving the economy and society.

Having spawned, reared and educated a female Engineer, I am firm in my position that I am now entitled to 4 years of chasing steelheads, coho and grouper, as well as a comfy rocker near the hearth and a stack of unread-for-decades tomes (B Traven comes to mind), the better to spend my evenings undisturbed by telephone calls, subpoenas and FAXes.

In fact, I believe that men should eschew the Franchise for the next ten years. Let women elect women.

Why not? Let’s see if Incompetence, Mendacity and Calumny are the exclusive province of us Seed-Bearers.

Next time, I hear, “DAAAA-deeeeee!” I want to be able to say: “Call someone who has two X-chromosomes!”

Meanwhile, guys, Surf’s UP, the fish tacos are bitchin’ in Baja, and there are two new dancers over at The Cheetah.

The Democratic Party has been able to take women for granted because women are the only constituency that does not seem to vote as a bloc on the basis of self-interest. Women have been repeatedly ignored by the Dem Party because the Party can afford to do so (until Nov, that is), there have been no repercussions. Same holds true for the Republicans; I haven’t seen much pandering for Rep women’s votes.

This is a shame because studies have shown that, generally, following the election of female leaders, there is an immediate increase in quality of life for all women in terms of child care, family leave, equal pay, health care, etc. All those issues that previous administations have not considered a priority.

The only way for women to increase their political power is to unite, put aside differences and realize that most women would benefit form the above-mentioned issues and vote accordingly.

And, needless to say, a democracy should be a representation of ALL its people — a meager presence of women in all the government branches (and none so far in the executive!) just does not justify calling this a democracy. Especially so when one considers that women make up a majority in this country.

Comment by deke | 2008-04-20 23:01:58

Your right and as a man I can say the world would be a kinder gentler place if there were more women leaders in the world.

Comment by Uppity | 2008-04-20 23:06:00

Women are much harder on each other than they are on men. We hold each other to MUCH higher standards. We don’t give an inch either. That is why mediocre men beat superior women. It’s our own fault.

I was an Edwards supporter, before he dropped out. Took a look at both the candidates, and starting searching both of them online. I was leaning towards Hillary, but I wanted to check them both out. Hillary blew me away with her job knowledge and fighting spirit. At first, you could go online and blog and everyone was fairly civil. Boy has that changed. He and is followers have reminded me of Bush and his minions for quite some time. Vile comments, and death threats to those who disagree, or question their candidate is fairly typical. Every campaign, takes on the mannerisms of their candidate. Bush and Obama are both arrogant and think they are above question, therefore, their followers mimic that arrogance. I am really worried about America, and their inability to see these things before it is too late.

Comment by countrygirl | 2008-04-20 17:33:39

The Dixie Chicks were ostracized (according to the music station I listened to at the time) because they spoke out against GW while overseas. According to the station, “they didn’t have the guts to do it stateside.” Every time they mentioned it and allowed callers to voice varying opinions, they would play Darryl Worley’s Have You Forgotten? right afterwards. That music station and others were (don’t know if still are) owned by a huge GW supporter.
They even had Darryl Worley on the phone with his viewpoint of the situation.
When they had a concert after “the fallout”, it was sold out. Good for them!
Of course, they didn’t help themselves when another member of the group once again, while overseas, spoke out against GW.
Then, at some awards event, they wore t-shirts that said “FUTK”. Apparently, they had a feud going with Toby Keith over something. They, instead of admitting what the acronym stood for - took the chicken way out and said it stood for something like FREEDOM, UNDERSTANDING, TRUTH, AND KNOWLEDGE.
Everyone knew what it was really referring to. When TK’s friend’s daughter passed on, he let the feud go. He was invited on the radio and said that the feud “seemed silly” in light of recent events. In doing that, he made the Dixie Chicks look childish.
All that aside, they can make some awesome music. The album that the highlighted song is on is amazing.
I hope that they continue to have many years of music success.

Comment by Kathy | 2008-04-20 18:27:14

Toby Keith is a pudgy, petty idiot. He called out Natalie Maines at one of his concerts and that is what started the feud. If you don’t think he’s still being an asshole about it, then you should find his last appearance on the Colbert Report where he blasted her again. The man is a tool, and it’s pathetic the way he waddles around like he’s an everyman while he rakes in millions of dollars.

Comment by sandyR | 2008-04-20 18:37:47

TK did a poster where he showed the Dixie Chicks as being Hussein’s Angels using graphics that mimiced the Charlie’s Angels logo. The Dixie Chicks got death threats, their houses were broken into, they had concerts cancelled left and right (no pun intended), the radio stations would not play their music. All because a Dixie Chick said she was embarrassed that GW came from their state of Texas. It reminds me so much of Obama it is incredible. Death threats to Americans who have a different political opinion than they do. Pffft.

Comment by sandyR | 2008-04-20 18:42:16

Actually there is a documentary about what happened to the Dixie Chicks. I think it’s called “Shut Up and Sing.”

Comment by Iphie | 2008-04-20 19:46:49

It is — it’s very good, I recommend it. I admire their ability to maintain their sense of humor throughout. There’s a very funny scene, which I won’t do justice by describing, but I will say that it is the Chicks response to Dubya’s statement about the whole situation — he says something to the effect that he is sorry if the Dixie Chicks “got their feelings hurt” by the backlash against them. Natalie responds much as I might have responded.

I don’t think it’s about them not having the guts to do it stateside. If they said what they said stateside - in Texas for example - who would they have said it to? Outside Texas however you’re more likely to gain a sympathetic ear. They behaved as decent human beings through it all and won my support immediately.

I don’t think that you realize though that some of the Hillary supporters have gotten to be just as bad if not worse. There are some really decent Hillary fans out there too.

Larry, I almost crapped myself when I read “Rappers suspended rapping about stabbing their bitches and killing women and cops to rap homage to The One. What an honor.”

And, to the person above who said that BO will never be president, I have to say you are correct. Barack Obama will never be president. If its BO vs Old Man than the OM is gonna get it.

Both of these are me. Honestly, I am just so angry about Rap I could spit. Talk about degradation and encouragment of violence in youth. Not to mention abuse of women in the worst possible ways.

why doesn’t the press address this? a woman calls Hillary a bitch at a McCain event and it’s all over the media but he makes a coded reference toward a rap song which degrades women to stir up his 20 year old followers and SILENCE.

Don’t forget that Right Wing media giant Clear Channel Radio led the Dixie Chicks boycott… and oddly, owns Green960 in San Francisco, sponsor of Rhandi Rhodes’ attack on Hillary.

Comment by flyarm | 2008-04-20 20:52:11

The Vice Chair of Clear Channel at the time was Tom Hicks , the very man who bought the Texas Rangers Baseball Team from GW Bush..It was Clear Channel that was putting on the pro war rally’s..under the control of Hicks.
Cumulus Media banned the Dixie Chicks from all their playlists of music allowed to go over their airways.

Why we have not shut these people down is beyond me.

Clear Channel also owns Air America which explains why those on it pretend to be progressives as they bash Hill all day. In short, it’s a front. FYI, Clear Channel also owns just about every AA format radio sation.

the questions:

where did obama come from?

and

why has he risen so quickly to a potential president?

are really the central questions i have about the man.

i just don’t understand how anyone can make such a rapid ascent in american political life with such a meager public record.

this post doesn’t add anything to my lack of knowledge,

but it does ask that central question.

thanks

this nation needs to know just what obama and his powerful political supporters are up to.

i would love to see a post where someone had looked deeply into this and provided some specific answers.

I could care less about a bunch of ADD dweebs whose idea of entertainment and culture is Flavor Flav’s Flavor of Love. Anybody who wants to cut off our 1st Amendment Rights is an enemy of this country. Period!

Yes, these people are scary. And even more scary is that Obama has yet to address any of the real shitty tactics coming out of his campaign and from his supporters.

What they should be focused on is not the questions Obama is being asked but Obama’s answers. This is an election. We are voters. He is a candidate. He is selling. We are buyers. And in an election for POTUS this is a buyer’s market. That means we damn sure have the right to demand he answer any question we may have. And that goes for all the candidates.

Why doesn’t he have a response about the flag pin? What makes him think that a relationship with someone who is on record in 2001 as saying they should have done more bombing and who had absolutely no sympathy for what had just occured at the World Trade Center, is not relevant to the issue of judgement, a character trait that Obama himself brought up in relation to Hillary’s qualification to be POTUS.

Any student of history would know the answers. If you don’t know your history then that is your problem.

If I’ve learned anything from this election is that politicians live in a MT. Olympus kind of mentality. They really think they are Gods. It is our job to bring them back to earth.

So get this Super Delelgates. It’s beyond me simply not voting for Barack Obama. It’s also come down to your jobs. Go down with this guy if you see fit. I intend to do my job in facilitating this.

Since Obama had the unmitigated temerity to flip the bird to Hillary, all bets are off for me too in this regard.

Fuck Obama! And everything he stands for.

He’s aligned with the same people I had no respect for way back in the 60’s when they co-opted the black struggle. A bunch of spoiled brat rich kids needing to get their bitch off with their parents.

These are the same people that stood in the way of real change for AAs back then and to use Obama’s own words, I won’t be bamboozled nor hoodwinked into falling for their bullshit now.

How do you get people do engage in some serious critical thinking? This is the most frustrating aspect of all this. The information is there. The Obamazoids just don’t want to hear it. I wonder if they could even if they tried! And Natalie Maines and the Dixie Chicks RAWK! I’m not ready to make nice either!!!

Anyone recall the video of the Dixie Chicks’ cd’s being run over and crushed by a steam roller?

I saw that video and wondered what country I lived in.
Perhaps someone could superimpose Barak Obamas face on that one. It is not even a stretch for that analogy to work. Crushing Rev Wrights’ hate cd’s, Crushing dissent with verbal and physical abuse, crushing the vote, and while in SF, crushing grapes.

Then I would call up the 1984 video put out by the media company BO/Axlerod hired to slam Hillary Clinton and put his face in it. See how that works for ‘em.

Comment by Rick | 2008-04-20 19:21:25

This was once, not long ago, my favorite blog. Then in January, as I recall, the entries that I valued…. geopolitics, the intelligence community, GWOT, strategy and tactics, the grievous sins of GWBush, etc…. were replaced by a venomous hatred of Barrack Obama. Early on, I wrote a comment expressing my concerns about Sen. Clinton’s candidacy, and received a scorching from her adherents. “Sexist” and similar mindless taunts was thrown about as if not agreeing with her and her supporters was tantamount to idiocy, treason and anti-American sympathies. So I’ve refrained from commenting, anticipating a cessation of hostilities.

The daily course of anti-Obama diatribes, and disrespect that any deviation from Hillary-adoration receives is off putting in the extreme. Those of you who are so rabid in your support for Hillary, in comments and posts on this site, are very effective at pissing off any one who isn’t 100% devoted to the same cause as you. You aren’t making any converts. The attacks I’ve been reading here are sad and mindless recitations of Republican minutia and talking points, expressed with the same disregard for truth and fairness advocated and used by Republicans in the Atwater/Rove School of political discourse. It smacks of desperation. Your candidate may not be the Democratic nominee.

I was a Edwards supporter (sad to see him go). I will support whoever the Democratic party nominates, although I am not a registered Democrat. I am an enraged Anti-Republican Progressive Independent. And the recent blather on this blog, and others, makes me less likely to ever want to join the Democratic Party. In the 90’s, I considered the Clinton’s to be Republican-lite. Now I think they are leaning towards the Zell Miller/Joe Lieberman wing of the Party, i.e., nothing “lite” about them. You folks have convinced me that America can and must do better than Sen. Clinton. And your bitterness is unbecoming and self-defeating.

I eagerly await the return of this wonderful blog to it’s original focus. Till then, I’ll refrain from disturbing your self-reinforcing rants.

After all is said, any Democrat is salvation from the havoc wrought on the US and the world by Bush/Cheney/McCain policies and malfeasance.

Comment by Catriley | 2008-04-20 19:42:54

Ummm.. I’m not going to comment on your entire diatribe. But when I read this “You folks have convinced me that America can and must do better than Sen. Clinton. And your bitterness is unbecoming and self-defeating”

Wow.. I think you don’t get over to Dkos much, do you? Most of us gravitate here because we can express our opinions without being called filthy names, or see our candidate of choice called worse names.

If you think that this is “bitter”, then I just don’t know where you might find a home in this primary. Cuz it sure isn’t any pro-Obama site. This place is mild and polite in the blogosphere, and in comparison to the pro-Obama sites, it’s downright dainty.

I didn’t bother to announce to all and everyone at daily kos that I was leaving because of all the Billary, Shillary, cunt, bitch, liar, dishonest, warmonger and republicanlite comments. I just left. I came here as a Clark supporter who chose Hillary because of the really scary similarities between Bush supporters and Obama supporters. No left wing versions of Bush for me, thank you.

reply to Rick…

It is truely sad that there are so few blogs one can go to without getting force fed Obama today.Or to see a total hatred dished out on a daily basis for Hillary , a democrat by other so called democrats!

Do remember the last Leader of the Democratic Party was Bill Clinton. The disrespect for him from Obamabots makes me so disgusted with my own party members it makes me ill!

I was and remain a Edwards Supporter..i was so much so i volunteered to work in Iowa in the dead of winter , and i am from very warm Florida. I flew to Iowa on my own dime and paid to stay in a hotel for 2 weeks through the holidays..my family and i all felt it was important for me to go there and help John and Elizabeth, and my nation.

But I have had my brains beat in on many blogs I used to frequent by Obamabrats and ignorants.

How dare you come here , one of the very few places left for those of us who see the stink Obama is and tell us anything..go back to Kos or where ever you came from. I nor anyone else here has to read your bullshit!

On 9/11 I was in the air out of Newark Airport as Flight Attendant #1 for one of the Airlines involved in the hijackings. I took off right in front of UAL flight 93..

I took early retirement when it was offered by my airline after a 33 yr flight crew career.

I ran for election as a delegate for the State of Florida..I went out nightly for two years and spoke of the lies of 9/11, I stood up to 9/11 commissioners..and called them out on their deceit.. I worked with family’s of 9/11, many times in secret, to get them info they needed for the 9/11 commission ..or got them to people who could get them the answers to the questions that needed asking.

How dare you come here and tell me or others who did the same, bravely and at self risk..about that cheater Obama..I trust him as much as I do little lord pissy pants in this White House right now..that being ..not at all!

I saw the busses in Iowa that brought cheaters in to caucus..I saw them with my own eyes..and so did many others, just like me..we called them the ipod kids.

So please..take your propaganda to another blog or web site..we are not buying that bullshit here..thank you very much!

Yeah hate on one of only TWO democratic presidents we have had in THIRTY years. And the ONLY one who took two terms. That’s really bright. You would think they would get the hint that left-off-the-cliff whackjobs do not good Presidential candidates make. But nope. The only thing the Democratic Party learns by its misakes is how to repeat them exactly.

these obamabrats are too ignorant to understand that when Bill Clinton left office he had a 67% approval rating..that was 67% of all americans ..that is not just dems..and they are smearing the Clintons ..the most successful Democrats who were in office in almost my entire 56 years ..it shows the ignorance of these young obamambrats who are new to politics and destroying our party!

as that saying goes ..with friends like this who needs enemys…

they have thrown down the drain the best candidate we had in my entire lifetime , other than JFK and JFK became “Camelot” after his death..not during his lifetime..

and who have they tossed the Clintons under the bus for ?? a 3 yr senator who hasn’t done shit in the senate, and destroyed his records from Ill…so no one could read them or dissect them..a guy who gave the best “free” party at the 2004 Dem Convention but no one knows who paid for it..a guy who has friends who others would have been thrown out of the party for convorting with..but this guy gets a free ride..a guy who has allowed baby’s in his state drink bottles of Nuke waste in their baby bottles..with a free ride to his financiers in the Nuke Power business..he has pissed all over the workers of Maytag..and he laughs in the back rooms of the corporate bosses ..at the fools who vote for him over their best interests..

when do we as Americans grow up ?????????

I just wonder..

No little Obamabrat will tell me anything..they have too much to learn before I am even willing to have a discussion with them.

Sorry..but I raised my kids..and educated them and taught them good manners ..and paid for universities and held them accountable and made them be responsible..I am not willing to raise someone else’s or teach them manners or educate them..that is their own parents job..and it looks to me like their parents have failed miserably or many have ..with the rudeness and ignorance I see in these obamabrats..

It is truely sad to me that we are at this place in history now..and how ignorant our nation has become.

Uppity, you’ve nailed it so perfectly. Nothing i could write here would add a thing. Brava!

I did realize this morning the BIG diff between Obamacrats and Hillary supporters in the internet. The Hillary supporters post our Diaries, and our posts, on either Hillary-friendly, or somewhat neutral sites, and are attacked by Obama people. We rarely bother to visit a pro-Obama piece and get in there. Or the Obamacrats jump into a piece dissecting Obama and start attacking. Sense a theme here? It’s like theyr’e always trolling for a fight — they cannot let a positive thing about Hillary go untouched or unchallenged. We express our opinions on Obama and Hillary, but they only want to attack. I don’t troll for positive Obama stories on their favorite haunts, and attack him or them there. Obama’s version of outreach and grassroots is basically aggression and intimidation and thought policing. It’s George Bush all over again. Thugs just looking for something to be angry and violent about. The candidates are different, the supporters are the same.

Based on Obama’s consistent habit of voting “present” on controversial legislation in Illinois, I kind of think he’s got a lot of nerve telling everybody what he “woulda, coulda, shoulda” done IF he was there–which he wasn’t. He had and has absolutely NO knowledge of the intelligence that was presented to congress, nor to I suspect that if he WERE there, he would have had the psychic powers to deduce there were lies presented to congress. Although, being a Messiah, this may have been possible. Furthermore, as it stands today, with his obvious affliations in the middle east, I submit that he is not opposed to that war at all–he just doesn’t like the direction in which the guns are pointed. To quote him: “I’m not opposed to ALL wars”. Barack Obama is just itching to switch sides. Is that ok with you?

Polling and cell phones. Same as polling and unlisted numbers. Start with a set of prefix numbers and generate random phone numbers to call. First question: (after are you registered to vote) Do you live in PA? Then the survey begins. Cell phones are not being missed. Pollsters know that if they miss the cell phone group they won’t get much work. There are many factors that contribute to variance in polling. Hard to find phone numbers is just one that is factored and countless others, when combined, can throw an occasional sample off.

OT but did Teddy take up drinking again?http://www.pennlive.com/midstate/index.ssf/2008/04/kennedy_hits_harrisburg_to_fir.html
Preaching to the choir, Kennedy said Obama is the right person to lead the country into the future and urged the volunteers to “do the hard and difficult work for the next 44 hours.”

Then, in a scene right out of “Oh Brother Where Art Thou,” Kennedy led the crowd in a spirited rendition of “You are my sunshine” before shaking more hands, posing for more pictures and heading off for similar stops at Obama headquarters in York and Gettysburg.

Teddy wants to be a king maker he feels time is passing him by. He’s tried in the past the Kerry and Dukakis with disasterous results. I think its time for him to get out of office. His biggest claim to fame is producing bloated defense contracts for Raytheon. He voted against the war in Iraq but was never out front in opposition.

Given the propaganda that the cheney/bush regime was spewing at the time (including the promise to pursue diplomacy) voting for the resolution was a reasonable thing to do. Wrong, as it turns out, but reasonable. Would The One have voted differently? As you say, he would have probably voted ‘present’. Not for moral reasons. But because he was already planning to run for President and wouldn’t want to get tied down to anything.

Comment by Joe | 2008-04-20 21:00:14

No, the fact that he voted to continue funding tells me that he would have voted to approve the resolution giving Bush the authority to use military force if Iraq failed to comply with the UN’s resolutions just as his fellow senators. He is not as principled as Feingold as he would want people to believe. Alternatively, he could also have called in sick or something so that he won’t have have a record on what he would have chosen.

Now one of my friends knew Natalie Maines, from her Lubbock childhood. Natalie’s family (Maines Brothers) are well known in the flatlands and all. But even to me she went off the deep end (something about Lubbock is soooo polarizing!).

Bush himself isn’t the reason things failed. Things failed because BOTH SIDES ALLOWED IT TO HAPPEN.

Tired of all the finger pointing and no one accepting responsibility. Then folks wonder why the kids who support Obama are the that they are!!

Grow up, folks. If you trash this country, there’s no going back — poof — it’s gone.

Arianna Huffington is a Republican, too. Interesting that they both TRASH Hillary.

One free Donner Buffet at the Rio says that HRC takes PA by 6.5 percent, plus or minus a half a percent.

These stories fit your post, first from http://abcnews.go.com/WN/Vote2008/Story?id=4692076&page=2 they are talking about how vicious things are getting in Pa by guess who’s supporters?

This has gotten so bad this year, I’m not sure people can forget about it and put it behind themselves after Tuesday,” said Joe Morgan, a Democratic committeeman for Berks County
“The bitterness and anger they have toward people who are not supporting their candidate is something I have never seen before,” he said.

Morgan has been writing his own blog on the race, so at first he decided to remain neutral. He said Obama fans in particular were incensed with him for doing so. His tires were slashed and a complaint was lodged with the Internet service provider for his blog. Morgan is now supporting Clinton.
then I went to his blog
http://berksdemocrats.com/ April 14ths post Reading Mayor Tom McMahon, an avid Obama supporter, was caught today trying to have city workers steal the large Hillary sign outside 645 Penn Street. The 4 x 8 foot sign was on private property belonging to the company which owns the building. Fortunately a Hillary staffer caught him and saved the $500 sign

Be sure to check the comment on the last 2 if his posts.

Not surprising that BO’s minions would slash tires.

Smacks of voter intimidation and is federal offense.

Good luck with USDOJ civel rights division.

John Morgan sounds like a stand up guy.

I still supported the Dixie Chicks even if they said it overseas (and I am not a fan of country music). I believed in what they said. Recently I watched a program about young people going to school in England; turns out the Britains don’t like Bush very much and ask questions of these students all the time. Since I stood my ground and still played the Dixie Chicks, I could never go for Obama.

This site, http://berksdemocrats.com/ is shutting down. I remember hearing about the stolen signs in 2004, taken by Bush thugs. What the hell is wrong with these Dems who are up to the same sordid tricks?

UppityWoman, fabulous article that spells it all out! Thanks so much!

I like the Dixie Chicks. I like Obama.
How about that?
And now I can see how similar the hatchet job the Republicans did on the Dixie Chicks is to the hatchet job you guys are doing on Obama.
Thanks for - unwittingly - making the comparison.

See, the differance is The Dixie Chicks spoke the truth. YOUR guy however wouldn’t know the truth if it came up and bit him in the ass. I mean he lied about how his father got here, how his parents met, what kind of upbringing he had(cushy upper middle class and private schools thankyouverymuch!)his relationship with his political mentor and BIGGEST contributor Rezko, his relationship with that racist, homophoe, xenophobe “Pastor/mentor” of his, lobbyests, oil money, healthcare, etc.etc.etc. About the only thing he HASN’T lied about is his name. So I just wanna be clear on this. In the obamalamadingdong cult’s version of reality, telling the TRUTH about your empty suit is a Repug hatchet job? BWAHAHAHAHA! See you at the polls sucker.

Bingo!!!!!

I have been saying for several months now that Obummer is another George W. Bush with a Harvard accent. He campaigns exactly like Bush. I thought the obscene gesture episode was another striking similarity to Bush. I have thought that he is the candidate who is being groomed and supported by Rove because his candidacy is so darned Rovian. Thanks for providing the evidence that supports my hunch perfectly.

BTW: that contribution record is from over a year ago. Times change, people too. I see the rest of them are not supporting the “O.”
