This is an excerpt from savagepolitics.com

You need to read the whole thing, it's great.

Nobody in the Mainstream Media pointed out that Obama’s “divorce” speech was riddled with selfish concern, by particularly emphasizing the idea that Wright was not “thinking of me nor my campaign”, terms that obviously underscore that his repudiation is being done out of political expediency and not out of honest “indignation”. I didn’t hear any point out that Obama had already responded to Wright’s media tour, the day before yesterday, in a ‘nonchalant’ manner, and that he simply decided to aggressively react to them ONLY when the polls showed that he was being hurt by them.

[...] Uncle Jeremiah Wright was Right (by Larry Johnson at No Quarter) Boy did Reverend Wright call it correctly the other day. He indicated that Barack is the kind of guy who will say politically what needs to be said regardless of what he believes. Well, Barack proved him right. Two months ago he had never heard Wright say anything objectionable in 20 years. Now, apparently, in the last eight weeks, aliens have taken over the body and mind of Wright and he is saying things he has never said before. Right? Wrong. [...]

Susan-your comment really gets to the heart of the matter. The left wing guerilla nuts are trying to take control of the party by duping them with Obama, who is merely a tool in their political tactics. It's doubly sad that minorities-women, blacks, gays and lesbians, are being so devalued and discounted after so many years of working in the Democratic Party in hopes of being heard. Obama is an empty suit, and will be a disaster if elected. Shame on Howard Dean and his crowd for allowing this to happen. And to think that they have thrown over someone of Hillary Clinton's stature due to pressure from these ill-motivated scoundrels is criminal.

What was put to the test the past couple of days?

1-Judgement
2-Experience
3-Ability
4-Patriotism
5-Uniter

In the actions over the past few days, Obama failed everything he claims to be bring to Washington.

His experience in handling this mess gets a failing grade, since it never was settled by his speech of March 18th, it simply fuelled the fires more.

His judgement was right when he asked Wright to not participate in his campaign, but it was way to little and far to late after a 20 year association! How enraged would the Black community be if they found out a candidate who was running for POTUS weeks before announcing was a member of the KKK, never actually participating in the linchings and the violence, but attended every KKK rally?

Obama's ability to defuse this took over night polls to convince him to finally denounce, well almost denounce as his words contained the words "may change" his relationship with Wright going forward, but the damage created along the way is deep to many and his two performances on this matter was filled with lies and contradictions to the point that Obama showed he was walking on eggshells in doing so, and that is only done when someone is hidding a lot more than they are telling!

Obama's Patriotism was at stake, it was a month ago as well, and Obama then turned it into everyone elses fault and not his, till the polls indicated otherwise, then he does what a POTUS needs to do on Day 1 not on day 50+, this is a true sign that Obama has a real misunderstanding of what Patriotism is all about against all enemies of the US of A, foriegn and domestic!

Obama's ability he claims to be as a Uniter has failed miserably during this entire fiasco, his divide he caused in the country is becoming deeper with each passing day, not only between Dem's and GOP's, but in the Democratic Party itself. This divide is caused by true Patriots digging in deeper behind a candidate who places country and its people first in action and in issues that are hurting the country today and those who want to grasp onto words of a candidate who uses their dreams and hopes against them to seek self promotion for himsef only!

You talking about the same guy who is saying Michigan and Florida mean nothing, the guy who pledged he would not campaign there, yet he did with advertising!

Excuses for a typical politician with no experience only greed feeding his inflated ego is the last thing needed in Washington right now!

back to scoreboard again, are we? are we that juvenile or just that unaware of how juvenile that comes across?

re supers - everyone with any sense knows he releases the info on previously-committed supers on days when he needs some pr help.

and everyone with any sense knows that supers can and likely will change their minds when it's in their own political interests.

jumping off the sinking obama ship will soon become the newest form of recreation. some will swim, some will drown. it will be fun to watch either way. i view it as the sport to watch once one's favorite nba team is out of the playoffs. i bet your team is already out.

attempting to blow up federal buildings and kill people, and conspiring to do so, normally gets you life without parole. unless, of course, your daddy's the ceo of con ed and gets his very high priced lawyers to get you off on a technicality. in any case, not going to federal prison for life just because you're rich (and not terribly competent at bomb-making) doesn't exactly make you a quality friend for a presidential candidate.

what, obama has good judgment? oh, i forgot.

I think Obama's memory problems stem from to much "snorting" when he was younger..lol

I have a different take on him throwing Rev. Wright under the bus..I think he would like to put him on a space shuttle and send him to the moon...

So, Brother Johnson, you CIA guys really believe in coincidence?

Everyone in the Hillary camp as well as the media are salivating about this story. Hells bells, this whole goddamn blog is positively awash in Shadenfreunde.

But why did Wright really come out of the deep dark place the Obama camp disappeared him to and instantly hit the big screen in a full-tilt boogie of media extravaganza? Just for giggles? I'm beginning to smell a rat.

Obama obviously hadn't put the Wright story to bed with his high-minded speech last March. The GOP media and blogs were running Wright and it was obvious that it was not going to stop until November 4. So, what to do?

Exit, stage right to the Mickey Rooney/Judy Garland two reeler of the 30's but instead of "Hey, why don't we put on a show!?!", insert "Unleash the Wright Firestorm".

Obama gets to give Wright the Sister Souljia slapdown. Obama gets 20 minutes of free air time in which he does not have to debate Clinton. White America thus placated. What's not to like?

So, any takers?

These delegates were decided (purchased) long ago, and are saved for rainy days, such as this one, for Obama.

And as mentioned yesterday, no doubt money was involved, making it harder to back out.

Imagine committing to Obama, before the Wright fiasco plays out.

My goodness, what happens when Al Sharpton jumps in?

There is a lot of ego here to control, and things don't always go as planned...

I agree, me neither, I never understood the need to be validated by another, in that way.

I understand it could be fun, something to show your Mom, but other than that, no.

Out of the three candidates, she's simply the best.

If it were to turn out she was as corrupt as Obama, (and she is NOT) I would work to expose her too, using the freedom of the Internet.

"there's a rat in the hole, and they won't let him get away"

That's from a song called " Rat in the Hole" by Robbie McIntosh.

I think about it when I read about Wright, and Rezko, and "mafias."

Obama and Wright are super-egoistics.
The winner: Wright & the WHINER: OBAMA

Mr. Wright, thanks for enlightening us and we, who know you, just less than 2 months ago, already understand your strong "feelings", which you eloquently expressed, with gesture, to my beautiful America.Obama is not lucky to not know you well, after all he & his family just mingled & embraced you for 20 years. However, due to those 20 years of nurturing him as his "uncle", some of your traits are showing in him.His arrogance of wanting to be hired to rule the country you have a very strong "feelings", is surely an act of disobedience to you. No wonder you mentioned this weekend that you will be after him one of this days.We will save you the trouble & we will just show him the way back to your "church" for more "sermons".WH is not his to handle.Lots of problems & for sure,he'll whine.Take him back, sir.

This string is interesting.

No one here has defined "experience" for the office of the US presidency. I did above. Let's get people who have combined military, corporate and elite university experience--and who are endorsed by Dems/Reps alike--to run and, why not, just take political office. Looking at it all this way Hillary was just a wife and mom who was dumb enough to stay with her husband, Obama is a corrupt "black man" from Chicago (go figure), and John McCain is a stalwart of honesty, straight shooter and is completely reliant on his wife's fortune. Oh wait! Where have we heard that before? Kerry per chance.

There are zero arguments here with depth. My fav is "let's put a montage together" of Obama's screw ups. No, wait! perhaps we should put some clippings together from the Washington Post (an educational corp) and the NYT (bleeding subscribers) in bit and byte form showing all the stinking presidential candidates are nuts.

We fight this mode of thinking everyday in high school (I'm a teacher of military and diplomacy). It should be about Country over Agency and Party. And with the Net, not one soul needs big media. OSI out there makes it so easy--and frightening--to know that most people don't read, think or search for information. More's the pity, those who we follow as leaders know this. They rely on the stupidity of an American populace that believes what's on the MSM no matter Obama, Clinton, McCain. It's sad, so sad. From my perspective--and what's important to me in this election--is that the National Security Policy of the US will not change in the face of Climate Change, the proliferation of civilian nuclear power plant construction, energy and food security issues, debt, recession, infrastructure problems, etc. And here we are--me one of the people at my fav NQ site to be able to rant and rave thans to LJ and S--wasting so many words on silliness.
